Code Name: Vulture is a Dark Vampire Romance by Maya Daniels & Sylvia Black. This is my first book by Maya and Sylvia but I really enjoyed it.

Danielle is a curator of a museum looking forward to getting her hands on an ancient artifact. But little does she know, she’s not the only one who wants this artifact.
Vulture is a purebred vampire. He has a job to do, and that job is Danielle. He takes a contract to take her, but boy oh boy, he didn’t expect her to be so head strong.

I would personally recommend you check trigger warnings before picking this one up. But if you enjoy Dark Vampire Romances – you’re gonna want to give this one a shot!

I enjoyed this paranormal story. This is not my first book by these authors but it is one of my favorites yet. This is a well written story about protection and the cost you are willing to pay for that. The author’s use of details made the story come to life on each page. Their creative, unique characters add to the story as being relatable and strong. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the beginning. This is a story about Vulture and Danielle. He is a born leader and also a ghost just like his brothers. She never expected to end up in a nightmare and willing to give up anything to these vampires. Problem, she has secrets that they must never find out about. As both of their lives intertwine they find themselves barely hanging on to survival. What happens next I highly recommend picking up this book. It is for sure worth the pick up. I enjoyed their chemistry and growth throughout the story. They made such great characters and I enjoyed what they brought to the story. I really enjoyed this paranormal story with hot, steamy characters. I highly recommend this book.

Code Name: Vulture is the first book in a new series about a woman, Danielle, who is a curator of a museum. The story starts at an auction where she is “guaranteed” to obtain an ancient artifact that holds many secrets. What she doesn’t realize is she is not the only one after this particular artifact. After being outbid, she obsesses about losing the artifact to some stranger. What she doesn’t know is that he will not be a stranger for long, but her mate. I really enjoyed this first book. As someone who loves dark vampire romances, it did not disappoint. While I did think that it started a little slow and confusing, I was able to catch up pretty quickly. Once I was a couple chapters in, I was hooked. Now, there are a lot of these types of novels, so I am always looking for a different point of view. I think the author did really well with bringing a new aspect to the stories we have heard in so many different ways. I look forward to the rest of the series.

Code Name: Vulture is a dark Vampire Romance story and the first book in The Order of the Condor Series by Maya Daniels & Sylvia Black. It is fast paced, with lots of action and danger and is steamy, addictive, and sexy, and full of danger. I was lost in the story and the harsh but oddly alluring world that Maya and Sylvia have created. A place where secret and lies, darkness and death thrive to weave a twisted world. One of domination, lust, greed, and brutality.
When extinction threatens the vampiric race rumours abound of a relic that could just as well annihilate them or be their saviour. Unfortunately, there is only one person that knows of the relic and its secrets. Now she is on their radar she finds herself in a fight for her life.
I devoured this short story in one sitting. I can’t wait to see what else they bring.

Codename: Vulture is NOT a story about falling in love. If that is your goal, I would recommend skipping it. However, if you want a steamy story full of action, adventure, and interesting lore, then this is the book for you! It has a great, original take on vampires with enough mystery to spark your curiosity. Oh and the main lead is pretty kickass. All in all it was a pretty good read!

Forbidden Love, bad choices and second chances!
Master Tuscano is just as good as Master Descallia if not better.
In this book the Syndicate, witches, shifters, rogue vampires and Consulate seem to all have their own agendas. These additional characters add to the story very well.

Delilah ran off with the witches because she was denied the life with Christian that she wanted by the Consulate. She seeks refuge with the witches who treat her kind, even though they have a long-standing vendetta with the vampires.
When Christian found her after her abduction, he seeks revenge. He doesn’t realize she wants her own revenge. That is, until she keeps disobeying his direct orders and darn the consequences! (Even though she enjoys the consequences very much 😉)

First you have a brave Heroin with attitude to boot! Lucianna jumps in feet first to try and find the missing women and finds herself attached to a Vampire Overlord in the process.
Salvatore has his work cut out for him with Lucianna and the desire to protect and save her, if even from herself. He is used to his word being obeyed without hesitation, until her.
There definitely is a plot twist that I didn’t see coming and hopefully it surprises you as well. I have read many Vampire Novels and Sylvia has made the Masters of the Consulate a series I do not want to miss a single Novel from!
Thank you, Sylvia, for the good read and keep this series going! Can’t wait to read what comes next.

Master Tuscano (Masters of the Consulate Book 2) by Sylvia Black – Review by Krista Vaughan

Sylvia Black brings Master Toscano in as the hero of this book. A vampire of the Consulate in love with a human. When Delilah is left dead at his feet he takes her to to the underworld to be with him. The problem being…he didn’t get permission from the Consulate first, and Delilah has never been a fan of the underworld. Right from the start this book is filled with conflict, passion, and action. A gripping novel from start to finish following a human and a vampire in love trying to fight for their right to be together. There is really no one as formidable as a vampire in love.

Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 2)Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A dark vampire mafia romance. What’s not to love about that sentence?

Master Tuscano should really be read after book 1, Master Descalia, for the greatest understanding as Tuscano has continuation of the “us v them” storyline from book 1. Semi-spoiler: That storyline will continue in book 3 too.

Here we get to explore the romance and mating of Christian Tuscano and Delilah, who we were introduced to in book 1. Christian and Delilah yearn for one another despite the consulate not approving of their relationship.

I enjoyed Christian and Delilah as a couple and them coming together despite outward forces trying to keep them apart. I like how the author switches the first person POV between Christian and Delilah because it gives us more insight as to what they’re each thinking and why they’re doing things. Delilah is a spitfire who isn’t going to just sit down and let the men deal with the issues they’re facing, yet she can also be submissive to Christian, sometimes.

It was interesting to see where Luciana and Salvatore were in their relationship now and how that continued to grow. Also, we’re reading about it from two other character’s perspectives, so it’s a fun turn-about. I still love Embry and the levity she brings to even the most serious of situations. Also, who doesn’t love a female who’s confident enough in herself to basically waitress and walk around a club topless and flaunting her nipple piercings? I hope to read more about Embry specifically.

While I overall enjoyed the story and the characters, I can only give this book a 3.5 rating as there were inconsistencies that kept pulling me out of reading to try and understand. Also, while this is a fantasy novel (hello paranormal beings) some pf the things that happen are outside the realm of possibilities, like transporting yourself half way around the world in a few seconds soon after becoming a vampire.

Trigger warnings: non sexual dub-con (dubious consent), rehashing of sexual assault and trafficking, anal sex, fictional death and gruesome beatings.

Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 2)Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

After the kidnapping and trafficking Delilah was saved from, she’s had to process the trauma and emotions that came with those experiences. At the same time, the conversation about what her and Christian are has been looming in the background for months. Wanting to be his mate as a human has come with more strings than what she thought was possible. Now, it’s her turn to take revenge on those that hurt her. Vampire or not, Delilah with use the resources she has to gain control back in her life.

I liked this sequel but I didn’t really enjoy it as much as I did the first. The author repeated a lot of the tropes she used in the first book so a lot of surprise I felt in the first book were not there when I encountered similar situations in this second book. Over all I think Delilah was a decent character but I feel like she was too impulsive which wound her up in more dangerous situations than if she worked through things with Christian or even talking with Lucianna and Embry. I was a little invested in the relationship but I really appreciated some of the choices Delilah made in the final few chapters. I’d be interested in seeing what happens in book three but not sure how quickly I would get to it.

Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 2)Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Master Christian Tuscano is the head of the Tuscano house and he has a score to settle, someone kidnapped the woman he wants to be his mate, Delilah and he wants answers as to the who and why, so he goes to the only source they currently have and treats them the same way they treated the woman he loves and it was shamefully and a way that nobody should ever be treated. As he gets the answers he wants, he thinks about Delilah and how her experience has changed her, how the light has gone from her eyes and she is just a muted version of her once bubbly self, however, when he returns home to find that she has gone and only left him a letter, he is enraged and worried that something else will happen to her.

Meanwhile, Delilah is making her way to find the person responsible for her kidnapping and degradation, however she wants to keep herself and her whereabouts from Christian so that she can do something by herself for once, but this plan backfires when despite her best efforts. He is going out of his mind with worry, so Christian has called in some help and found where Delilah is and just in the nick of time when someone else bursts in on the same scene to take the person she is meeting out and she has been caught in the crossfire, so just before her life ebbs away, permission is granted to turn her and allow her to become a vampire and not just be with one.

While the attack left Delilah in a precarious situation, the person they are all after manages to escape, so the hunt is on again, however, keeping Delilah safe and secure is harder than ever when she transitions and her new powers come to the fore and some shifters come after her and while a precarious deal is struck with the syndicate to take the bounty off of their heads in return for them being given the troublemaker once the Consulate have gleaned all the information they can out of them. The shifters are not the only ones after her though and new information comes to light which casts a shadow on everything Delilah knows and trusts involving a coven of witches, but will she be able to do what she needs to do and also be accepted by the rest of the Consulate, or will she have to leave everything she wants behind to protect the one she loves? Will Christian be able to help Delilah to overcome her trauma and teach her to accept her new life, or will one of the groups after them get to their target before they do? This is a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs with a romantic twist throughout, where secrets and lies abound to weave a twisted tapestry of truths which will hook you in from start to finish.

I loved the first book – and then I read this one and I think I may love it more!😭 From the beginning I was sucked in, even with the little bit of foreshadowing in the first book. I was so intrigued! The dark vampire aspect, forbidden love, revenge plot, steam, action. This book checks all of these boxes for me. And Christian & Delilahs chemistry is undeniable. This author knows how to write and she does it so well! Thank you Sylvia Black!!

Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate #2) by Sylvia Black

This is the second book I’ve read by Black. This is also the second book in the Master of the Consulate Series. It does need to be read in order, although it’s about a different master.

Christian is one of the Masters and he is getting his revenge for his mate. When she needs to be turned because she is injured he does it. They go through more than enough challenges. The quote I chose for Christian is: “Very well, but the next time you feel that need is so great, you are going to harness it, and I am going to teach you how to do exactly that.”

Delilah wasn’t exactly ready to become a vampire. Or so she thought. Once it happens she finds that people who took her in may be the reason she got kidnapped. The quote I chose for Delilah is: “Traitor shifters! The vampires have never done anything but respect your place in the universe, and for this, you repay us this way?”

Highly recommended for Dark Vampire lovers.

Quick and interesting read with just a hint of spice. The three main women in the story were great characters to follow as they are all independent, self sufficient, and strong which I always love to see in book. I especially enjoyed the little bits I got to see of Embry. I did feel as though the plot was resolved too quickly and nicely. I think more could have been done as there was so much build up. The romance could have used more development as well, I would have loved to see more intimate moments between the two MCs. In general, enjoyable read, and will likely read again. Keeping my eyes open for the next in series to hopefully get more of Embry. I enjoyed her spunk!

Sylvia Black is at it again with Master Tuscano(Masters of the Consulate book 2. Character development is well written especially since there are lots of characters to follow. Unfortunately, though I have a lot of love for Overmaster Salvatore Descallia, I don’t care for Christian Tuscano.
Christian is a hot head vampire who has a tendency to break the rules of the Consulate, especially with Delilah at his side. I didn’t care for her at 1st as well, but she started to grow on me as I continued to read. I’m hoping as the next books are released, that Delilah has enough impact on Christian to change my views on him.
Just because I don’t like Christian, doesn’t mean you won’t! Also doesn’t mean it takes away from how I felt about the novel in general.
I really enjoy the world Sylvia Black has created and I love forward to the next book releases for The Masters of the Consulate Series. If you like vampires, mystery, some suspense, with a little romance thrown in, these books are DEFINITELY FOR YOU!

This was a great 5 star read. I was excited to get the 2nd book in the Masters of Consulate series. I think this may be my favorite so far in the series.

Christian is in love with Delilah. He was put in a tough predicament when she was left for dead. Not wanting to lose her, he made her immortal. Now he’s trying to keep that love stronger than ever. Delilah is a very strong and determined woman, she puts herself in danger when she decides to seek revenge. You can feel the love these two have coming off the pages.

Overall I really enjoyed this read. We get so much in this story, action, revenge, steaminess and so much more. There are several thrilling twists and turns. All of the characters added a great element to the story. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a good dark vampire romance series, this author pulls you right in and you don’t want to stop reading. My only disappointment is that I have yet to read book 1 of this series. Fast-paced, action-packed, and riveting are all adjectives used to describe this book. I love a heroine that does not sit and twiddle her thumbs in a corner waiting for ‘Prince Charming’ to come to rescue her. Don’t get me wrong; I do appreciate a take-charge hero as much as the next person. However, a woman that stands up and takes charge of her life and destiny is something worth writing home about; simply put Delilah is a badass. This is not the typical vampire romance novel; Sylvia brings an original and refreshing perspective to their lifestyle. I immensely enjoyed reading and recommend this book.

I’ve always had an obsession with vampires, and Master Descallia: Masters of the Consultant by Sylvia Black did not let me down. Instead had me lusting after Salvatore’s dominance as the Overlord. I couldn’t begin to tell you how much I loved him and his character development.
We find Salvatore headed to Las Vegas to investigate disappearances of women that could cause a massive war if pinned on the vampire community. Within his investigation he crosses paths with Lucianna, a mortal that intrigues him.
Lucianna, who has a gift of sight, uses that in her job as police officer to help solve cases. Lucianna has been assigned to Descallia Resort to go undercover to retrieve information. When she crosses paths with Salvatore Descallia himself, she’s drawn to him, and can even penetrate his thoughts if he doesn’t put up a block.

While this is an enjoyable read I did struggle with it at times. It seems like I was thrown into the middle and I am missing information about things that happened. Delilah‘s whole story kind of threw me for a loop. She was captured, released and then she keeps running away from Christian. Why?? I am not sure why she would do that repeatedly. Maybe if we knew about her human side before she was turned that would give us some answers or her previous relationship with Christian. Also I don’t understand why she all of a sudden felt she needed to avenge herself, Christian and the other vampires. I would think being kidnapped and everything else that was done to her would make you more timid and wary and it would take a little bit before you would runoff on your own and face shifters, vampires and the Syndicate. Chriatian is so understandable to all her antics while trying to avenge her for himself.

There are a lot of characters in here, new and old. I enjoyed seeing the characters from the previous book..how they are doing and what powers they have come into. Loved that!

Vampire books are one of my favorites and I thought this would be an outstanding series. Sadly I can’t rate it quite that high. I feel like there needs to be more depth to the characters we just met, in the last few pages, or the next master (I don’t even have a connection to him to be excited to read his story). Sorry

Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 2)Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have read the previous book in the series, and let me say it was so good and addictive and I was very excited to read this one as well! I can happily say, this one spared no exceptions. It was addictive, steamy, sexy, and full of danger and everything else I wanted from the first novel to carry through with!

This one we follow the new two lead characters whom had the staring roles in this novel! Christian and Delilah…a human and vampire. Basically two souls though not from the same world, truly loved one another, with their hearts rather than mainly just lust and sex appeal as the first book strongly gave off on regarding the main story line. Christian is a vampire as well as Master of the Consulate. Delilah is a human. They believe it does not matter they live in different worlds, because they a real thing going on.

Sadly, people of Christian’s world are dead set against this relationship. The fact that they are well bonded, makes things worst. Delilah is left dead. Christian who does not want to ever picture a life without her, decides to make her like him. Was it a wise decision How would the Consulate react to this new soul in their world? Also how would Delilah going to react to life as to what she is now?

As things progressed after that big event, things come to light that Christian did this on his own and not gained permission of his Consulate. He did this as an act of love. Selfish to some, but only true to he knew she was his mate till the end of time. He wasn’t about to let what could be a life time, basically be ripped from his hands.

Delilah on the other hand had to take time to progress this. This was a huge change for her. And everything she ever knew, or loved, was forever different and viewed different. Things happen, and well the Consulate want to keep these two lovers separated. Delilah (loved her character by the way) was a very strong woman even after she was turned, to speak her mind. Christian was her mate as well. Despite people’s opinions she did not care. She knew where she belonged and was going to do so anyway even if some souls did not like it, or want it to be.

Their love was defiantly tested in this novel. Things were not rainbows at first. They truly had to work through things as mates to truly decide with this great ordeal if this is the fate they are destined for as well as if this is the truest thing that they want? Things begin to tie loose ends with what happened with Delilah and how Christian’s world is in danger from different shape shifters. He wants revenge for his mate, and basically for having to be forced to turn her with no consent. Christian is forced to take a back seat and not go after what he wants, and this is revenge, but he has his Delilah who is strong and fierce and is the very woman he fell in love with, she gathers the females’ souls and goes forward with her band of wit basically to seek revenge and prepare for the show down that would unfold!

In conclusion, what made this book as amazing as it was, was basically Christian and Delilah’s love. It was good then it was very rocky. Then fate gave them reasons not to be mated for life. And they gave them a million why they should be together. I loved that. They proved they were meant to rule one another’s hearts even when the times were well worst than bad. Their love, chemistry, attraction, as well as their connection only grows as the story develops. It really gave everything I wanted and then some!

I loved both these two books in the series. I can not wait to see what this amazing author brings next in the third novel when I get my hands on it. I know it will be nothing short of amazing. The story and writing is so good and you really bond with the characters which I love. The book fine details of places as well as the characters was so good to the fine points all through out the novel. I loved it more than words can say. I was more than impressed. Amazing read! Loved it greatly, and I await the 3rd with eagerness!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was very excited to read this book. I enjoyed book 1.

The storyline was good. I feel like there were some things that could’ve been written differently but only to better an already thought out plot. Overall I liked how the different groups didn’t necessarily mix or hate one another like they normally do in paranormal books. I liked that the female lead Delilah was strong and resilient. Christian the male lead’s character had some room for improvement but I still really enjoyed how his personality and attitude played in the story.

All I can say is jump in and hold on!!

Master Tuscano (Masters of the Consulate Book 2) by Sylvia Black – Review by Heather Simmons

Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 2)Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The thrilling second book for the Masters of the Consulate did not disappoint. We know from the first book that the main heroine in this story has suffered terribly and she already has her mate in Christian Tuscano. The story is really about Christian having to woo his mate again, in fear that she is too fragile from her prior ordeals. But we find that Delilah’s ordeals have made her stronger and she finds strength in herself. In this case, there is no maiden to be saved. She does the saving, herself. I enjoyed this book much more than the first.

Thank you Ms Black for a steamy vampire with soul.
