Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance (Masters of the Consulate Book 2)Master Tuscano: Dark Vampire Romance by Sylvia Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The thrilling second book for the Masters of the Consulate did not disappoint. We know from the first book that the main heroine in this story has suffered terribly and she already has her mate in Christian Tuscano. The story is really about Christian having to woo his mate again, in fear that she is too fragile from her prior ordeals. But we find that Delilah’s ordeals have made her stronger and she finds strength in herself. In this case, there is no maiden to be saved. She does the saving, herself. I enjoyed this book much more than the first.

Thank you Ms Black for a steamy vampire with soul.

Second book in the Masters of the Consulate series – yes read book one first. This action-packed book has an ongoing plot that began in the first book. In this story, several factions are trying to sully the vampires’ reputation by abducting women and making it look like it is the vampires. These stories are made for the big screen and hope one day someone picks them up. In this particular story, the romance between Christian and Delilah is front and center. Delilah is feeling unwanted in the vampire world and takes off to get revenge for the women abducted. Christian is ready to let everything go for the woman he loves. Great romance, very real action, and very real characters!

Master Tuscano (Masters of the Consulate Book 2) starts off right where book 1 left off. Only we get to read from Christian and Delilah’s point of view and learn more about their story. This book adds on to the steamy paranormal world created in a wonderful way giving us even more depth to the lore and even more sexy angst. I really loved this book and the way Sylvia crafts the world around the main characters. The side characters are also well written in such a way that makes you want to read more and more. I finished this book mere hours after finishing book one and I fully intend to read more!

Bravo Sylvia, it is challenging to write paranormal romance and make it fresh and interesting and you are nailing it!

I always love when authors take paranormall subject matter and take it and make it their own tellings of the lore, and Sylvia Black did a fantastic job doing just that! I loved Salvatore and Lucianna’s story. Such a great version of the supernatural world and how it ties together. True to any good vampire story this story is dark and sexy but in a way that felt fresh and new. I loved the mystery and suspense while everything started to unfold. From page one I was instantly engrossed and struggled to put the book down but that is just how I like it! I started book two right after finishing this book and finished it the same day! Sylvia Black is an author to follow without a doubt and I will definitely be reading more of her work as soon as I can!

Master Tuscano is the second book in the Masters of the Consulate series. It helps to read the first book so you have some background on the worldbuilding.
I liked the male lead in this book better than the one in the first book. This relationship at least felt like there was some romantic feelings rather than just lust.
The female characters banding together to go off to hunt the bad guys was awesome.
This story has danger and a bit of mystery to help move things along. This series isn’t exactly what I expected, but I’m warming to it.

Note: I warn that anyone suffering from any type of abuse may find some scenes in the book hard to stomach and be triggered.
There is a mystery of woman being kidnapped and all evidence points to the vampire community. The leader of the vampires has worked centuries to establish human trust and does not wish to lose that trust. Enter in the saucy and strong willed female investigator. She is sent to go undercover and solve the mystery. Then everything goes awry. Needless to say, the magical powers of the vampires are pretty nifty and they can really pack a punch. I could really do without the heroine being made to be subservient. I liked her better when she was strong willed and stubborn. I guess we will see where the next book takes us.
If you are into vampires and BDSM, then I guess this would be your type of book. It was a quick read, and kept me interested, so I will give it that. I enjoy a good romance and mystery, but the “Master/Servant” stuff was a bit much for me.

Thank you Sylvia Black for adding more sexy vampires to our lives!

Loving this second book in the Masters of the Consulate series. The author just has a way with her writing that I can’t get enough of! They’re fairly short books, but they all get right to the action without skipping out on any important details. Master Tuscano and Delilah’s steamy relationship evolves and deepens beautifully throughout the story. I also love the introduction of other mythical creatures, such as witches and ghouls. Keeps you on your toes. Must read!

This book is just as fantastic as book 1!! I always love stories with vampires and a dark world. This story of Christian and Delilah….loved it. The Consulate is very powerful and disapproved Christian and Delilah’s mating and it ended up leaving her on death’s doorstep, and Christian had no other choice but to “turn” Delilah. Christian wants revenge on those who hurt Delilah. There is no doubt that Christian and Delilah’s love is tested….and their chemistry is great. I just love this book by
Author Sylvia Black.

This is my Review of Master Tuscano Master of the Consulates Book 2 by Sylvia Black. I can say I am already hooked to this series and can’t wait to read book 3! This book mainly focuses on Christian, a member of the consulate, Delilah, a human who was turned due to dire circumstances, but it still keeps the characters from book 1 in sync greatly balancing the story. I am still going to say that Luce and Salvatore are still my favorite characters, but the relationship of Christian and Delilah is an amazing story itself with how much they’ve been through since they already had a relationship before the tragedy happened. If you love romance with a touch of steamy and demanding, this is your series. The main storyline is still going on and I love how it changes so much, but we still get the good relationship parts. I have already added Sylvia on my author list of good books. 👍

Christian is caught between two worlds, his world of vampires and the human world, can he convince the Consulate that his love for a human women can be granted.

Christian Tuscano is one of the twelve vampires which collectively are the Masters of the Consulate but Christian has fallen for a women he should have no right loving as a vampire but he has to try and convince them that he needs to be with Delilah but when the consulate make there decision it is not to be, but this does not deter Christian.

When tragedy happens can he forgive himself for the action he is about to do to save the women he loves without her permission or the consulate.

This is the second story in the Masters of the Consulate series and I think this is my favourite book out of the two so far. This is a very modern twist on the love story and is a great world to delve into and let your imagination run wild. Delilah’s character speaks volumes to me with her strong and unswerving character that you can really see the determination in her actions that she is not going to be the victim and try to make whoever pay.

The two main characters are well match and when reading there story you don’t feel that the author has rushed any feelings or chemistry with them, they flow and ebb nicely through the book and with the fantasy element to the story it makes a brilliant read.

I can’t wait to read the next instalment in this series or other books by this wonderful author.

This is the second book in this series and it is just as fast paced as the first book! Master Tuscano is a very dominant male who finds his mate, Delilah, in a bit of a bind. He avenges her and it costs her humanity. While she comes into her own right as a dominant female, they continue to fight the Big Bad that is attacking vampire’s way of life.

The development of the female character’s friendships draw you in to the story. It’s very easy to identify with the need to protect what is yours and want to defend it all costs!

Again, this is definitely an adult book!

I really enjoyed this paranormal mystery romance. This def took some turns I was not expecting! A quicker read than I was expecting too as it kept me so riveted!

I’m not sure I fall for the insta-lust between Luce and Salvatore, but I did enjoy the attraction to one another and mystical the connection they had. I enjoyed that it was more of a slow burn romance with sexual tension building. I also enjoyed the twist on who Luce could be and why she hates the nickname Lucy.

Some BDSM or Dom/Sub vibes but not overtly BDSM.

I really liked Luce’s growing friendship and working relationship with Clay, Terrence, Silver, and Lucas. I also enjoyed scenes with Embry and the levity she brings to a fairly dark story.

Trigger warning for abduction and attempted trafficking of women.

Whew, I’d love to see this one on the big screen. Serious movie material right here. I want to see Salvatore’s eyes go from black to red!! Anyone else? I really love the characters and the action in this novel. Luce is my kind of heroine – from her choice of coffee to her instinct to protect and serve. She felt like someone I could walk into a precinct and meet. Salvatore is your Mr. Tall, Dark and Powerful, but is taken down by some green crystalline eyes. He has got that vampire sexiness down. The action started right off with women coming up missing. It’s a great read with a great mix of several elements.

Vampires has always been made to be the villains and I loved how Sylvia used this angle to build her story on. We all love bad boys and what’s worse than a villain? How about a police officer that falls for said villain? Opposites attract and in this book that made for some epic chemistry!

Master Descallia is the first book in the Masters of the Consulate series. This book wraps up the main story line, but there is room left to lead into the next book in the series.
While this book is referred to as a romance, I felt it was more lust-filled than love filled. The main character, Salvatore, is a bit of an alphahole and I didn’t care for him very much. I know it’s a dark romance, which I usually love, but this didn’t feel dark so much as that he’s just a jerk. Maybe the description of dark is referring to the overall content, not specifically the romance? I did love that Lucianna was willing to stand up to him and call him out.
Overall, the story was good – full of action and danger that’ll keep you turning the pages.
