My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a great feel-good read. Sylvie did an amazing job developing the characters and the storyline.

This book follows the story of Cash and Hollis. Cash is a hardworking bar owner that is determined to make his business a success. Hollis is a hardworking woman and owner of a pet grooming business. These two are business neighbors. They did not get off on the best foot when they first met and as the saying goings “first impressions are important”. That first meeting sets the tone for their relationship moving forward.

When an unexpected turn of events forces them to be closer who knows what will happen? Is it true that there is a thin line between love and hate? Will secrets about what really caused the event that happened break up their new relationship with each other? Are first impressions always accurate representations?

Read this book to find out what crazy adventures happen for Hollis and Cash.

Ale’s Fair in Love and War was such a good book. It was a good romantic comedy, that had me laughing out loud. The story focuses on a back and forth pranking between Hollis and Cash. They both are small business owners, next door neighbors. Cash and his brothers operate a bar, and Hollis has a pet spa. They instantly have a rivalry that starts over something as silly as a trash can, and it escalates from here. Their banter is hilarious and their chemistry is off the charts. Hollis decides she needs to help Cash increase business, to make some money to settle some debts that have arisen. During this, they cannot deny their attraction forever, and they soon realize their prejudices about each other are far off base, and they have a lot in common. This book was great, and I look forward to the next one. Highly recommend this book.

Cash knew that Hollis Hayes, his enemy and business neighbor, was behind the odd phone calls he was getting. For Cash that was fine because he had a plan to get his revenge. When Cash’s family business though gets threatened, it draws a line that should never have been crossed. Hollis denies a part in it, push comes to shove and kisses are exchanged. Cash and Hollis begin to get close but can they really trust one another?

The banter and chemistry is off the charts in this book. Looks to be a very fun series full of laughter and romance. I really liked Hollis she is surly, quirky and a great heroine. The other characters were equally intriguing, definitely sets up for a wonderful series.

Ale’s Fair in Love and War by Sylvie Stewart is a really fun enemies to lovers romance. Ever since opening her dog grooming salon next door to his brewery and tap house, Cash and Hollis have been at each others throats. They are constantly trying to one up each other and carry out more elaborate pranks. When a misunderstanding causes Cash’s livelihood to become endangered, Hollis feels guilty and is determined to help him resolve it. It is only a matter of time before the thin line between love and hate is crossed. I really enjoyed this book, I love Cash’s family (especially his mum and Mango) I think this is a really strong start to the series and I am looking forward to finding out more about the other siblings.

Ale’s Fair in Love and War is a wonderfully written RomCom/ Enemies to Lover’s Romance that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down until I finished. I pretty much devoured this book in one afternoon. I loved everything about this book the bantering back and forth and how they were rivalries to an extent. The chemistry was off the charts and these two knew exactly what buttons to push on the other. But when Cash’s business could be at risk to be shut doen these two pull together to try and save his bar. This is where the story gets very interesting. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

To one of my Favorite books in 2023 so far. It was that good. Cash and Hollis are just perfect
For eachother. This book had it all. The joking, the tricks, the hidden feelings that are dying to bubble over. Hollis knows when Cash stalks towards her,‘there’s no getting away. I love how Hollis helps Cash but one question I still
Have is WHO IS RESPONSIBLE? cannot wait for the next book. 5+ stars for sure

What a cute enemies-to-lovers book. These two business owners both have goals and hard-headed personalities. And knew how to push each other’s buttons immediately. Yet when Cash’s business is at risk of being shut down the two pull together to save his bar and a friendship and love happens from there. Can not wait for the next book in the series.

Cash is one of the owners of blue Bigfoot brewery, they have had peaceful existence until neighbour from hell moves next door.

Hollis has opened her dream, a dog grooming parlour and is just trying to build up her business, so when she enter the pub next door to give away some flyers she did not expect full out war with the owner.

As the practical jokes get more and more elaborate Cash and Hollis start feeling chemistry between them until a misunderstanding causes an explosion in more ways than one.

I love this author’s writing style, she writes warm and rich characters which instantly make there way to your heart and Hollis and Cash are no different. The start of the book just lets you peak in just enough to have you hooked and can put the book down until you find out what happens.

I loved the character of Hollis so sassy and independent wanting to make a life for herself without the trappings of her parents money which was refreshing to read. I loved also Cash and how at the beginning you see him as this gruff man but slowly within the story he becomes a great man and I think I have yet another book boyfriend lol.

I can’t wait to see who is next in this series as all the secondary characters enhance the story even mango.

What a great first chapter! It was hilarious and I instantly fell in love and was excited for the rest of the book! Amazing job Sylvia for grabbing my attention! If you want a story about 2 business owners, that have their stores right next to each other…who constantly butt heads and play pranks on each other? Who can’t seem to stop the physical attraction for one another even though they can’t stand each other? This is for you. I love a good hate to love romance! The characters were great and watching the 2 main characters realize they’re wrong about each other..was the best. What a great HEA! I’ll definitely be reading the next book in the series!

Wow I really enjoyed reading this book which is a fun start to what I just know is going to be a fantastic series from this truly talented and creative author. The characters are fun, relatable and full of heart. Just the way I like them LOL. There is plenty of steamy moments that add to the fun and romance of the story without being it’s main focus. The main characters, Cash and Hollis, totally weaved their way into my heart right from the start and I just had to keep reading to see where the storyline was going to take them. The author has definitely created plenty of interest and intrigue about the other characters to have you wanting to come back for more as well. I can’t wait to return to Blue Bigfoot Beer to see what’s instore for them all next!!

Ale’s Fair in Love and War is the first book in the Love on Tap series by Sylvie Stewart. I have loved everything I have read by Ms. Stewart so there was no doubt that I would love this too- and Ms. Stewart didn’t disappoint.
This is a fun enemies-to-lovers romcom with funny quips, banter, one-liners, antics, rivalry, prank wars, chemistry, sizzle, family dynamics, drama, and more. The humour and prank wars were nicely balanced by emotion and a few sweet and tender touches.
I loved Cash and Hollis from the outset and was highly entertained by their amusing prank wars which made it really easy to connect with them- so I was only a few chapters into the book before I found myself heavily invested in them and their story. I devoured this book in a flash and by the time I got to the end I wanted to turn around and read it all over again.
I really recommend this book, and I can’t wait to continue with the series.
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Sylvie Stewart!

By: Sylive Stewart

This is such an enjoyable book! I love the characters of Hollis and Cash. They have a very interesting relationship. Cash runs a family brewery and his family is far from simple. The last thing he wants is not get along with the neighbor and risk losing the brewery. They engage in a prank war, which was not my favorite part of the story. However, I really love their banter. It kept me reading long past my bedtime because i wanted to see what was going to come of it. I also loved Cash’s family. I am a sucker for a story with a big crazy family. Plus this gives off major small town vibes. I absolutely love this. It was my first book by Sylive Stwart but it definitely won’t be my last. She is now on my authors I need more of list and I will be reading all her past and future books!

Sylvie had me at the books title – Ale’s Fair in Love and War: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romance. It is a standalone steamy Rom Com and is the first book in the Love on Tap series that promises good things. Sylvie has become a favourite author. I enjoy her work because they are an easy, light and fun read.
This enemies-to-lovers romance will find yourself laughing out loud at the sassy and snarky antics and banter and find yourself loving each and every one of these crazy and quirky characters, flawed or not they are family. It is a quick read that is told in several POV’s, which I love. The main characters are cute as they push and pull and dance around one another.
What do you do when your neighbour is a pain in your ar$e but is hot as hell? Well, you sit back and watch the sparks fly……… With a big crazy family that are hilarious and lots of chemistry what could go wrong? If only they can get on the same page.

This is a fun, sweet, humorous and steamy entertaining read!

Even before starting to read it, this book ticked all the boxes for me. Enemies-to-lover? Yes. Pranks and hilarity? Yes. Fun and relatable characters? Yes. As soon as I started this book I could not put it down. It is described as “your next weekend read” but I devoured this book in the space of an afternoon. It was such fun from start to finish, entertaining and hilarious. And yet, the author managed to strike the balance between that and a credible storyline.
I have read a few books by this author and I love how each and everyone of them is different. This is easily the most fun and the banter between the characters was amazing. I loved this book and already cannot wait to read it again.

An enjoyable and engaging romantic comedy which kept me happily turning the pages. I love the main characters, Cash and Hollis who are both likeable and relatable characters with plenty of chemistry. Cash runs his family’s brewery and Hollis is a dog groomer and they are neighbours, the worst neighbours, this is an enemies to lovers romance. The pair have plenty of banter between them and they like to play pranks on one another, but when Cash thinks Hollis has gone too far, he’s willing to play dirty to save his business. This is a fun, lighthearted story with plenty of laugh out loud moments, but also full of emotion and of course romance. The couples sizzling chemistry leads to some rather steamy scenes, and I was cheering them on to a HEA.

A classic enemy turned into a lovers story. Sylvia gives you a storyline and follows through with enough real life events to make you feel like you are living the book but adds the spice you always think about in your dark thoughts. Cash needs to save his bar but Hollis keeps pranking him. Will they call a truce and find the love they are meant to find?

This story had me giggling so much. Hollis and Cash are just meant for each other, if they can get over the prank war. I found their chemistry “sparkling” to say the least. Like Cash had shot a “load of sparkle” all over. This is one of the best contemporary romances I’ve read this year. The humor, drama, mystery with the other brothers and the excitiement between the two businesses made for some great reading. I couldn’t put it down. These two had “it” straight off from the start. It was fun watching them work through trust issues. Exciting writing, characters that felt like friends, you have to read this one. I can’t wait for the next book.

I don’t have time to fight with the dog groomer next door. There’s a brewery to run, siblings to rein in, and a mom to look after. So if Hollis thinks I’ll roll over and let her drive me out of business, she’s not nearly as smart as she thinks she is.

Sure, I enjoy the little pranks we play on each other, and I don’t hate watching her prance around in those tight leggings. But she’s gone too far this time, even if she pretends to know nothing about it.

I’ll do whatever it takes to save my business from going under, and if that means playing dirty with the girl I love to hate, game on.

New Jerk in Town is the second book in the Carolina Kisses Series by Sylvie Stewart. This is a Enemies to Lovers romantic comedy. I absolutely loved this book. From the very beginning I was hooked and couldn’t stop reading till I finished. I’m going to be honest at first I thought Milo was an ahole , but the more I read the more I understood him. Then there’s Jill I’m going to be honest and I thought Wow this chick is something else but again more I read my opinion changed. These two clearly have a attraction between them. She blames him for crushing her dreams when they were younger. They banter back and forth and at times my heart ached for them. Milo really isn’t a bad guy. But has he changed? Can these two have a future together? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

New Jerk in Town (Carolina Kisses, #2) by Sylvie Stewart was a great 5 star read.
This was a great 2nd chance romance.

Jill is back in town after drifting for a couple of months. Since her car has died she has no choice but to stay in town and she ends up getting a job at a local restaurant. What she didn’t anticipate was seeing Milo. She is looking for a place to stay and he happens to be renting a room.

Milo has his niece living with him which can be challenging at times.
When Milo sees Jill he feels like he has seen a ghost, it’s been 12 years since they last saw each other. Milo agrees to help her and things get interesting from there. Being together again helps them deal with things from the past .

Overall this was a great read, I really liked Milo and Jill. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. We get to see past and present with these two so that we can get some back history on them. I was pulled in with the authors writing and couldn’t put it down. They had a friendship 12 years ago and haven’t seen each other since that crazy summer. Now when Jills car breaks down as she’s passing thru, the last person she expects to see is Milo. Of course they fight when they first meet but have no choice but to speak to each when they need to. This book takes you on a roller coaster. New Jerk in Town: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy (Carolina Kisses Book 2) by Sylvie Stewart is a light romance with a lovely seaside setting. Milo and Jill first meet as teens when Jill, literally falls on his lap, their short-lived friendship did not end on the best of terms and when Jill finds herself in town again 12 years later Milo is the last person she expects to bump into. Jill is convinced that Milo hasn’t changed, he is still the same jerk he was when he ruined her summer dreams, but desperation puts them back in each other’s vicinity, will she change her mind. This is a funny, light-hearted romance with an interesting cast of characters. I am looking forward to reading Andie’s story in the next book.
