This is the second book in the Hot Flash Hookups Series. This book was just as good as the first one. A chance meeting in an airport bar finds Kaitlyn and Ben attracted and flirting with each other. Until she finds out he is on the team with her newest client. That is when the drama starts and the love hate relationship starts. This is a great enemies to lovers story. The characters are all so fantastic.

Amazing!!! I couldn’t stop once I got into it. It was so “real” and represented a lot of today’s issues in relationships, our past experiences still haunting us! The character development along with relationship dynamics and growth were fun to read, and kept you reading intrigued to see how it plays out. Hoping she writes about other characters love stories now… especially Niko & Chloe… highly recommend this

Kaitlyn is a top range hockey agent although being a woman in a mans world can be tough she has a reputation of a killer in the boardroom. Now she is representing young blood in the team and is damn good at it, although no-one ten years ago told her she would have to be a babysitter and agent all in one, but now she has her own agency and can pick and choose who she wants, until a friend asks her for a favour and in steps Bennet Banks her sworn enemy.

Can she put the past behind her to help him extend his contract and be a better person?

Ben “Bennett” Banks has lived to annoy Kaitlyn seen that day they meet ten years ago in the airport, she seemed okay with him then but once she knew who he was it has been daggers and teeth when ever they meet, but when he falls out with his agent just before a crucial extension of his contract no-one will touch him accept Kaitlyn. But can he keep his feelings for her under wraps as she has made it plain she hates him and is only doing this as a favour and to stick it to her old boss.

So, when something is released in the press at a critical time can Kaitlyn believe in Bennett or will she let him loose?

I love this calibration, the writing is brilliant and the characters are so real you wish they were your friends. This is the second book in this series but can easily be read as a stand alone novel but I recommend you read the first one as it is just as good.

Kaitlyn’s character is fiery and strong but as always you get to see the venerable side of her and that not everything is rosy in the garden. Ben’s character is lovely the rough alpha male on the ice but behind the scenes is a man who is misunderstood, caring and humble which makes these two characters just brilliant for each other.

The secondary characters as always are full of depth and life and just add to this wonderfully developed book, with you wanting to know the more about them in the next book. I hope Niko Drugov is our next mean hockey player to find love as it would be great for him and Chole to have some sparks in their future.

Can’t wait for the next instalment going forward.

Mood Swings & Hockey Flings is the second installment of Marika Ray and Sylvie Stewart’s Hot Flash Hookups series. It follows Kaitlyn, hockey agent at the height of her career who, at the age of forty, is starting to think about starting a family, and Banks, hockey player who isn’t ready to retire at thirty-eight. I read a lot of hockey romances, but it was really refreshing seeing a woman of colour lead, and the leads being in their late thirties rather than early twenties. I think the authors handled the balance between having a career and starting a family really well, because I don’t think women should have to sacrifice one for the other. I also think they handled a woman nearing menopause really well, because women tend to feel old once they start thinking about menopause, but Kaitlyn is still confident and she still feels attractive, despite her mood swings or weight gain or fatigue. I did think, at the beginning, that Banks’ behaviour was immature for someone his age, but the more I read the more I changed my mind. My favourite character was Kaitlyn and my least favourite character was Ed. I recommend this book, mainly because it’s so refreshing to see an Asian female lead and a romance between two people in their late thirties. I also appreciate how the romance didn’t lead to anyone sacrificing any other important parts of their lives. ‘So much so that I might have been half in love with her by the time we said our goodbyes.’

Hilarious steamy rom-com for even those in certain stages of life. Ben and Kaitlyn are a feisty couple that brings the heat no matter where they are, bantering on the ice, playing mahjong with Beatrice, or between the sheets! These two push and pull each other to be the best.

I love all the hockey players. Psssst….these authors sound like they actually know hockey! Makes the story come alive!!

I absolutely adore this book! This is the second installment in the Hot Flash Hookups series and my favorite so far. I loved Kaitlyn and Banks’s characters independently and together. Their banter, their stubbornness, and their chemistry…OMG their chemistry. Ray and Stewart had my hooked from the beginning and I couldn’t put this one down! They way they do a slow burn is phenomenal! And this book is a slow, slow burn in the best of ways. I love the other tropes as well: forced proximity, forbidden love (agent & player), he falls first (a personal fav), and many more. The character development is *chef’s kiss* as is the plot line. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment! I highly recommend grabbing this book…it’s a fantastic sports romance with just a bit of spice. A great pallet cleanser if you are looking for something a bit lighter in-between the darker readings 😉

I thought the overall story was great as well. Sylvie Stewart is an author I always enjoy reading and this collaboration between authors is just as good. I think their writing styles work really well together and it made the book even more interesting to read. I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this series.

Mood Swings and Hockey Flings is the second book in the Hot Flash Hookups Series. This is a Enemies to Lover’s/ Forbidden Romance that will pull you in from the beginning and have you turning the pages till the end . I do recommend reading the first book in this series if you haven’t already started it. I’ve read other books by this author and this one may be my favorite yet. The characters are well developed, connectable, relatable and make the story come to life. The chemistry between them is electric. This is a wonderfully written story about a Hockey player who was dropped from the team and a kick butt agent who tougher than she seems. What will happen when she looses control? This is a fast paced story that I highly recommend reading to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

This second book in the series is just as good as or better than the first! I LOVED this one!! It is exciting, funny and has glorious sarcasm. The story held me captivated until the last page! The characters have a wonderful love/hate relationship with high sexual chemistry. I laughed with them and just delighted with their banter! They are both very witty! Secondary characters are wonderful! I liked how they moved the story forward but still held a memorable quality.

This writing team is a dynamic duo! They pour just the right amount of snark, laughs, heat and hockey into their stories. They had these characters go from like to extreme dislike to slowly coming around then lust then friends then lovers. What a ride! I loved every second and look forward to more!

In this Rom-Com can’t put down hang on to your seat story, Kaitlyn meets a mystery man at the airport as she heads to meet a new client. They immediately hit it off. He tells her that his name is Ben. They have a great time together cause you know its a stranger and they will never meet again… or so they think. Enter the story of Banks and Kaitlyn the sports agent. A must read.

This was a great 5 star read. I really liked this couple and their story. They had a history going back 10 years. When Kaitlyn is asked to be Banks’ new agent things get very interesting. Will she be able to help him? I have to say I had several LOL moments with the bantering between these two. Both of them were great characters, and the secondary characters added a great element to the story. There are a few different things going on in the book. These two authors pulled me in with their writing and I am really enjoying this series. I look forward to reading more from them. 1-click and get started today.

I loved this book so much! It was such a great read. From the very first page I was just totally in love with bath Kaitlyn (with a K) and Banks! They both had such great personalities and I loved that they wound each other up but underneath the chemistry was bubbling away. I really do love an older romance story now, I think I can definitely relate to the characters a lot more than stories with the young 20 somethings as the main characters. Kaitlyn was just such a down to earth person going through things that I can certainly relate to. She was focused on her career and she was good at it. I thought she was a wonderful female lead and I absolutely adored her.
This is definitely one of my favourite books that I have read this year and I 100% recommend it!

Mood Swings and Hockey Flings is the second book in the Hot Flash Hookups series by the delightful duo Sylvie Stewart and Marika Ray. The first book Hot Flashes and Hockey Slashes started out with a bang and this one is just as good. I suggest you read them in order, so you don’t miss out on anything.
This light-hearted and fun Romantic Comedy is a love hate sports romance with witty banter leaving you laughing out loud at the antics and banter. These characters just cracked me up.
Banks Bennet is at it again and has a reputation a mile wide. What’s new! Kaitlyn is driven to succeed in a male dominated arena and finds herself between hot flushes and mood swings and one frustrating male. Well actually make that two because she wants to prove something to her boss.
The heartwarming tale has quirky characters who are to die for, and the chemistry and heat is turned way up.

Oh, so much fun to be back with Daniel and a mystery. This was a doozy. Right from the start it was set up with several paths to take. I found the writing quite entertaining. Being in the early 1900’s, it’s kind of funny to read the occasional cuss word in their. Somehow, I just can’t picture them saying it. Anyway, I loved the independence of Colin’s sister. Daniel has his hands trying to keep her out of trouble. Their chemistry is full of sparks for that time period. Trying to figure out the culprit is actually an enjoyable mystery. Much like the first book in the series, I quite enjoyed this story. I’m very much looking forward to the next one. This is fast becoming my favoirte historical fiction cozy series.

Mood Swings and Hockey Flings is the second book in the Hot Flash Hookups series by Marika Ray and Sylvie Stewart. This is another fun contemporary romantic comedy/sports romance, with an enemies to lovers trope, forbidden romance element, grumpy-sunshine, hockey, mood swings (perimenopausal fmc), fun, angst, drama, banter, engaging storyline, some forced proximity, chemistry, banter, antics, drama, emotion, angst, and quirky characters.
Pro hockey player Banks and sports agent Kaitlin get swept into a spicy game of love where spark fly and there might be more than meets the eye. What happens makes for a fun read.

I don’t think I’ve chuckled through a book this hard all year. My husband thought I had lost my mind. Killer Kaitlyn and Banks had chemistry right off the bat from the moment they met at the airport. He had no clue she was a sports agent and she had no clue he was a hockey player. I loved the verbal sparring all the way through. The multiple POV with the earlier timeline and then to the present gave a really good look at how everything came to be. I loved the writing. This is one of my favorite romance writers. They do a fantastic job of making you feel like you are write their. The characters are so easy to relate to. With antagonists like Ed in the story, you don’t need much else. That guy’s like a slimy snail leaving a trail. It was so worth watching Kait and Bennett work things out and seeing them develop their relationship. You have to read this one. Hit that one-click, you won’t be sorry.

This is the second book in this series which is just as great as the first if not better. I highly suggest reading the previous book in this series as well. I enjoy this author’s books and never hesitate to pick one up by her. This is a well written story about an agent who is tougher than nails and a hockey player who was dropped by his agent. What happens between them is something you don’t want to miss. Will she lose control and will he be the one to do it? I enjoyed both of these characters and what they brought to the story. They are connectable, relatable and their chemistry is off the charts. I enjoyed how they pulled me into their world and how easy they made their story to read. There is great growth throughout which makes the story hard to put down. This is a fast paced, engaging story that you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book. In the cutthroat world of professional sports, I’m the agent who always calls the shots. Until a decade-old feud with hockey superstar Banks Bennet resurfaces, and I’m forced to play nice.
When his agent drops him and rumors of a trade swirl through the league faster than a puck on a breakaway, I find myself in the dreaded role of Banks’s new agent. There’s no doubt I can save his career from crashing into the boards, but only if we don’t strangle each other first.
All I need to do is whip this man-baby into shape and negotiate an epic contract that will establish me once and for all as the top hockey agent in the league. No problem, right? But between babysitting Banks, battling perimenopausal mood swings, and fighting this annoying attraction to my client, I’m facing a hat trick of challenges.
Not everything about Banks is what it seems. Under all that bravado and childish behavior lies a sensitive and considerate guy who values more than just his time on the ice–leaving me to wonder if maybe there’s more to life than just wins and losses.
If I’m not careful, my emotions might have me losing control and throwing away the professional playbook for a shot at happily ever after…and that’s not how this game is played.

forbidden romance (agent x player)
menopausal woman at the top of her profession

Deja Brew All Over Again
By: Sylvie Stewart

This is the third book in the love on tap series. I have read each and every book and have loved each and every book. I do want to note however that I do believe that each one does function as a standalone.
This book features two very interesting and well developed characters. Miller is a bad boy who finds himself entangled with Maisy who just kind of fell into his lap (or more accurately jumped into his car). Maisy is a runaway bride and she just so happens to be the help that Miller might need. This book is absolutely amazing and I loved following Maisy and Miller on their adventure. I definitely suggest reading this book!

Deja Brew All Over Again is my first read from Sylvie Stewart but definitely not my last! I just adored this romance!!!!

Miller sees himself as the family screw-up, although I think he is a little hard on himself. Yes, he has made some decisions that weren’t the best, but boy does this guy have a knight in shining armor’s heart! He loves his family, and I loved how he went completely out of his way to help Maisy and Bear! He was everything that made him a great book boyfriend!!! He’s pretty much irresistible and is the perfect package even though that package might be a little dented.

Maisy was the perfect match for Miller. She has the same heart, and she only wants the best for her little brother, Bear, and she will do just about anything to get him out of the clutches of her horrible, irresponsible mother. UGH! She also saw things in Miller that others necessarily didn’t see. She wasn’t just beautiful…she was smart, intelligent, tenacious, and loyal to those she loved.

I loved Miller’s family! They were just great characters, and I loved how they each accepted and protected Maisy and Bear. And, Bear, there are no words for this precocious little boy. He made me laugh more than anybody in the book. I loved getting to know this wonderful family!!!!!

I was in the mood to read something lighter. I have been reading a lot of thrillers, which I love, but I needed something a bit lighter. This book did not disappoint! It had all the ingredients I love in a romance…a great story, wonderful characters, and a swoony romance. I got all of these things and more in this one. Plus, Stewart is a great writer!!!! I started the series with this particular book, and I can’t wait to go back and get to know all the other characters better! Thanks, Sylvie Stewart, for giving me the book I needed at just the right time!!!

Smooth Hoperator (Love on Tap Book 2) by Sylvie Stewart – Review by Jessie Hopkins

It is obvious how much the Brooks family cares about one another, no matter how diverse and different they may be.
Carter’s background and current life gets more interesting with every page turn. As you see where he’s currently at, what got him to this spot and what he’s attempting to do next, you understand more about why he is so quiet and distant.
I enjoyed the way Sunny balances out Carter and brings him out of his shell. Sebastian adds his own interesting dynamics in both his interactions with Sunny as well as Carter.

I can’t wait to read more about the Brooks siblings.

1 Chapter in and I was hooked.
Hollis and Cash’s banter is so fun. Until it goes too far and Cash’s business and family livelihood is on the line. But again, cue Hollis, and now she’s helping. Funny, quick-witted AND business savvy, she’s pretty much the full package.
I loved the drive and independence that Hollis has, as well as the determination and caring that Cash possesses. They have so many similar qualities, it is obvious why they also get along once they get past their initial razzing of one another.
This is a great book, and I’m looking forward to the next one.

I have been waiting to learn more about Miller, and this book did not disappoint.
He is quite different from his business owning older brothers. As much of a mess as he seems to his brothers, you soon realize that he’s just the younger brother trying to find his own way.
Maisy just made a real drastic decision in her life, though it wasn’t really what she was wanting to do in the first place. Conveniently, it was Miller’s car she dove into and he is willing to help her out in many more ways than she initially thought.
Honestly though, Bear is the real prize of this book. He steals the show every time that he’s mentioned.

This is the third book in the Love on Tap series. This story follows Miller and Maisy. Miller is kind of the odd one out of the family. Maisy sees past all that. These two meet after Maisy jumps in his car after running away from her wedding. That is when you know the fun is about to commence. The chemistry is definitely there, but should they really entertain the idea?

Carter, former political figure, now slinging brews in a brewery. He meets the local librarian, Sunny, and her grandfather. There are people out there that would like to ruin what Carter has going, but he wants to stop them before everything is lost. Sunny could be helpful IF she gets on board with his crazy plan. Of course, she gets to use him to make her true love jealous by fake dating him. The only thing is that as they spend more time together his feelings start to become real. Will Sunny reciprocate his feelings or will she leave him behind? This series doesn’t have to be read in order even though the books do intertwine a little. I enjoyed this story and reading about this family. Each story brought something a little different, but the author did a great job bringing the characters to life. They were also very relatable.

Miller may be the one to always mess up in his family, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love them. I’m not 100% sure he goes looking for trouble, I think it finds him. When he first meets Maisy she accidentally gets into his car while trying to escape her courthouse wedding. Why is she running? For that answer you will have to read the book and fall in love with the characters as I did. Even if you have ups and downs, at the end of the day family is family whether they are blood or not. It has been fun reading about the Brooks family and I look forward to reading the next in the series.
