Victoriously Yours (Titans of Manhattan Book 4) by Anise Storm. I love this series and I have been anxiously waiting on Jonas’ story. Jonas came across as the most stuck up, conceited jerk of the whole group. Life has not been easy on Jonas and instead of becoming softer he’s even more of a jerk but when he reconnects with an old flame from high school he’s different. He’s not exactly butter but he’s a little less arrogant. Kenzie has come a long way from High school and the girl with the broken heart. Kenzie has had her share of hard knocks but she’s on a great career path and when she goes to interview for her dream job of Chef she never in a million years dreamed the one interviewing her would be Jonas. Try as they may can they stay away from each other except for a professional relationship? The chemistry is crazy between the two of them and Kenzie may be able to soften Jonas more than anyone!

Isabella Bride of Ohio: American Mail Order Bride by Debra Parmley. I LOVE this series! This one is just as awesome as the previous ones. This one is the story of Isabella who along with her family come to the US from Sweden. Isabella lives with 3 women who all work at the same factory she does and they find out about a way all these women are getting married. Mail order brides, she has heard of other women doing it and so she applies. She gets matched up with a very wealthy man named Don so she travels on the train to Ohio with the money he sends her. While she’s on the train a couple of bad men decide they are going to kidnap her. During this a man named Tom ends up saving her. She and Tom hit if off. She continues on to become Don’s wife. Will she change her mind about marrying a stranger? Will she make it to Ohio in one piece. Read this awesome book to find out!

The Vardoger Boy (The Forerunner Saga Book 2) by Jay Veloso Batista . This is not my typical genre but I loved this book. Its a Historical fantasy that once you start reading you won’t want to put it down! Its the story of Cub, Agne and their father as they go to war against Alfred the Great, his brother Fin sails off with his Uncle Karl. The rest of the family is left at home to fight with another clan that is out for blood. This is set during Viking times and the author’s writing is so good that I felt like I was really there. Its the typical war time story where you don’t know who to trust and who is really your friend. there are traumatic life changing events and seeing loved ones killed and betrayed. These children being sent off to war and being sent away to save their lives are children, young children. That’s the time they lived in. Such a good Fantasy book. I will be reading more of this author’s work

Finding Starlight (Quimby Grove Book 1) by Shannon Nikole. This is such a heartwarming contemporary romance. Its the story of starting over and learning to stand on your own two feet. Benji owns Starlight Books and Ellawyn finds it as soon as she hits town. She becomes a frequent customer and ends up becoming friends with Benji. When Benji is diagnosed with cancer she calls her grandson Beckett home to help her. There is an attraction between Ellawyn and Beckett as soon as they meet but Ellawyn has all her walls up due to the past relationship she escaped from. As the three of them deal with Benji’s illness and their own emotions due to it Beckett and Ellawyn become closer. Will Ellawyn let her walls down so that she can be loved properly or will she let her past keep her from happiness. Great debut read!

The True Garza (Red Cage Book 3) by S. Ann Cole. This series has got me under its spell. Each story keeps getting better. This is the 3rd book in the series but can be read as a standalone. Its the story of Garza boys and their Red Cage Security company. The business has made them all very wealthy and the dream of many women. London meets True its supposed to be a one night fling but ends up being a flaming 7 day and night steamer! Not thinking they will see each other again because True is not cut out for relationships, but when True turns up as London’s new boss it complicates things. She wants more but knows True is not cut out for that and she has baggage of her own. Will they be able to keep away from each other or will the be able to make a relationship work between the two? Hold on tight cause this read will keep you flipping pages thru the night!

Squid (Moto X Book 5) by Brooke May. This series has been so fun. I can’t wait to read the next and last one. This is the story of Levi is a spoiled brat man child. He is used to daddy taking care of him and when he gets cut off he’s not sure what to do. He has to go back to his law degree and work with his dad to earn a living. Levi is not used to being turned down by women but when his new boss, Kindle James lights his fire she sets him straight really quick. She is his boss only, nothing more, nothing less. The only problem with that is once Levi sets his sights on something he doesn’t quit until he has it. Truth be known Kindle really is attracted to Levi she just doesn’t want it to interfere with her career. Will Levi wear Kindle down or will she keep her wall up so she can pursue her career? Its the story of a little boy named Caspian who has received a magic hat and a stone from his grandfather and mother for his un-birthday. He finds out that this hat has magical powers. He realizes when he’s around other people he can hear their thoughts! He calls his stone his “Thinking Stone” so he can solve problems with it. He meets a new friend with his magic hat and has fun listening to others with it. This is such a sweet wholesome read that all families will love. It would make a great gift to a young child in your life! Can’t wait to read the next book!

Tickety Tock (Wicked Warriors MC Arizona Chapter) by Manda Mellett. I love these series so I was super excited to read this. It did not disappoint! I’m so excited about this series now! This one is a little different than the others in the sense that it has a little bit of paranormal in it. I still loved it and can’t wait for the next book. This is about the Wicked Warriors MC Arizona Chapter and a character named Dwarf. He’s not really a dwarf but he’s shorter than all the others. Dwarf has no self confidence so he is unlike a lot of his MC brothers. He’s tired of feeling like he’s only good to be a wing man and women only talk to him to get to his brothers. When he meets Raven though she overlooks his height and gets to know what’s inside and she likes it!

Illegal by K.J. Gillenwater. This is my favorite genre so I was super excited to read this new to me author. It did not disappoint. Its the story of Selena Hernandez who has woken up to a nightmare. Her whole world has been turned upside down. She is in the states and has tried to get all her paperwork corrected but now she’s finding out everything she’s been told is a big fat lie. She is in the US illegally! She is trying to get back to Mexico to get it corrected and thank goodness for Wyatt who works for the State Department who is trying to help her. They immediately sense an attraction to each other. When she uncovers her true identity it puts her in a world of danger. Will she and Wyatt be able to get out of this horrible situation alive and if so will they give in to their attraction? Read this fast paced amazing book!

Its the story of Bree who has had her heart broken many times and mostly by the same type of guys. Tall, dark, handsome and an athlete so she has decided to not date that type ever again. She has decided to look for a man that ticks all her boxes including, kind, handsome, tall, kind and good provider. When she meets Nate she thinks he’s the perfect candidate but he’s just like the guys who have hurt her in the past. About the same time she meets Steven and he is handsome, tall, dark but he’s also focused on his career. She feels he might be the one. When she finally lets down her guard she realizes she is happier than ever but is terrified she will be hurt again. Is this finally the one? Read As Close To Perfect to find out!

Its the story of Nora who has been talked into joining the Cayman Island Police Department. Before she can even get her feet wet she is thrown into a kidnapping case that involves her more than ever. The kidnapper has a victim but wants Nora to be his next victim so he wants her to complete these challenges in order to save the other victim. The challenges are crazy and Nora has never experienced anything like this ever. As all good “Who Done Its” secrets come out and of course it can change the whole course of the investigation. Will Nora be strong enough to complete the challenges and help the victim live along with herself? Read this amazing Mystery to find out!

Ancient Reflections: A Mythic Trilogy by Tamara Agha-Jaffar. This trilogy was amazing. Its the stories of ancient myths but told in a woman’s view. Its such a beautifully written story that it will capture you and not let you go until its over. I was up flipping pages late in the night. Its a modern take on old tales. The first story is A Pomegranate and the Maiden the story of Persephone and Demeter. The second is Unsung Odysseys the retelling of the “Odyssey’ whish tells the tale of Odysseus’ adventures on his journey home from Troy. And last but not least is the third story “Gilgamesh of Uruk”- is the retelling of the “Epic of Gilgamesh” an epic tale of the legendary Mesopotamian. They are all so wonderfully told that you can see exactly where these characters are and how beautiful the places are. If you enjoyed the originals of these stories then do yourself a favor and read this modern uptake of them. You won’t be disappointed!

Everything to Me (Playing for Keeps Book 2) by Lauren Fraser. I am loving this series! It can be read as a standalone but I prefer to read them in order. Its the story of Kendall who goes to stay at her brothers best friend’s (Pete) house for a week while she is in town. Kendall has also had a crush on Pete since she was 12. Pete has always been a good friend because he won’t break bro code. Kendall is very much in charge and she plans to proposition Pete. She thinks she can sleep with him and get him out of her system. Pete is a real heartbreaker and wouldn’t hurt a fly especially his best friend. He is always willing to help everyone out when they need it. They are both super good people but will Pete break bro code and go for Kendall or will he continue to deny Kendall her fantasies. The chemistry is strong between these two and its such a good read!

Coyote’s Road Trip by Laura Koerber. This is a great dystopian/fantasy story. Its not my favorite genre but it was so good I loved it. Its the story of Coyote who is a shape shifter and he’s on a journey to discover his self identity. He is trying to decide what his purpose is and on that journey he’s finding out what is most important. He believes what is most important is happiness and finding your purpose. While on this journey he makes some crazy decisions but doesn’t really hurt anyone. The author makes this read so real that you feel as if you are actually in these beautiful places. I read this book in one sitting! Such a good read!

Her dad is dead, her mom is an illegal immigrant, she provides for her younger sister so she knows what its like to fight for everything. She is also a underground fighter wanting to make it to the UFC. Working up to 3 jobs her whole life she knows what its like to work for what she wants but nothing has been this hard. Will she be able to succeed or will she let her past keep her from moving forward. Being a gym rat her whole life can only help her. She also falls in love with someone and he won’t know what hit him in the end! Such a good start to a series!

Its Trey’s story and he’s the doctor of the family. He actually has 2 jobs, 1 Dr for the hospital and also Dr for the mafia. Trey is still mourning the death of his girlfriend so he’s not in the market for a girlfriend. Hailey has had a crush on Trey for years but it never seemed to work out. When Trey realizes Hailey has been kidnapped he decides he’s going to save her. He doesn’t want her to go thru what his girlfriend went thru. When he saves her and they begin to try to figure out who and why she was kidnapped they realize they have more in common than they thought. Can Trey get over the loss of his girlfriend to trust Hailey to try and make a relationship work? Can Hailey even as strong as she is deal with the Mafia? This is a great romance/mafia read! I can’t wait for then next one!

All Ember’s life the magic has been more of a curse than a good thing. She just wants to be like everyone else and not the mean Faebloods that she is hiding from! They murdered her mother and she wants nothing to do with them. Therefore she can never tell anyone that she is a Fae. Her mom had told her to never reveal her secret and to never stay in one place for very long. When she meets Gavyn all that changes. He is an elite fighter who protects his sister with everything he has. When Gavyn’s sister befriends Ember he’s not happy because he doesn’t trust new people. They soon grow to like each other and fight together to protect those they love. This is a fast paced romantic adventure!

When Gina starts working in the same garage she’s got a lot going on like trying to figure out how to be a human. She and Snapper don’t hit it off, in fact they don’t like each other at all. Snapper is shocked by this because he can usually get along with anyone but something about Gina just hits him wrong. Snapper feels the chemistry between him and Gina but doesn’t understand it because he doesn’t like her. He is actually quite mean to her. He has also been hurt in the past so he’s not really looking for a relationship. Will he break down and try to make it work. Will Gina be able to see past Snapper’s bad attitude? Toby: The (Mostly) True Story of a Former Bad Dog by Stephanie Wilson Peterson. My family loved this book. I read it aloud to my 4 and 9 year old nephews. They both loved it but of course the 9 year old got more out of it. Its the perfect book for beginning readers as my nephew read some of it! Its of course the story of Toby the dog who gets into things. He has a few misadventures with the cat and tends to do things he shouldn’t. The cat did seem to get away with everything and even when poor Toby wasn’t guilty he got blamed! This story helps kids to realize that dogs have feelings too! This is the perfect read aloud book for the whole family. We can’t wait to read another of her books!

Bake Off (Bake Believe Series Book 2) by Cori Cooper. This was such a fun read. Its the 2nd book in the Bake Believe series and I suggest reading the 1st one to get to know the characters first. This is a fun, imaginative, young adult fantasy read. Its the story of Cat Anderson who loves to bake and in the last book we found out when Cat bakes she has a gift. During this addition Cat’s family travel for the Thanksgiving holiday and end up in the middle of a bake off. Of course there are a few mishaps with the baking but its all in fun. Lots of laughs and a little bit of romance thrown in. Great teenage read!

What she doesn’t bargain for is falling in love with her new client. Sparks fly when Morgan and Vandana meet but neither one had any plans on falling for the other. I really think you should read each book to totally understand this book. Its the story of Rowena who is in the for a major fight. There is a war going on and Rowena is trying to bring peace to both. When some people don’t want peace its hard to help it along! Where vampires and humans are thrown together all kinds of craziness will happen. Rowena is fighting an infection as well that is making her a Pale vampire. She is terrified that her boyfriend Vincenzo will not approve and she will lose him forever. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and keep you up until you are finished!

Its the story of winemaker and widow Julia who makes the best wine in Portugal. Griffin and Englishman has bought the property right next to Julia and has been sent to Portugal for the sole purpose of spying on Julia for his business. Once he meets her though he is smitten. He can’t get her off his mind. She is not interested and knows she can survive without a man. Julia is a strong woman who wants to feel love again but is scared. When Griffin won’t stop pursuing her will she finally give in or will his business blow up their new relationship in his face? This is an amazing historical romance.

The Scent of Gardenias by Lorraine Haas. I fell in love with this book and I read it in one sitting. Book hangover! Totally worth it! Its a story set in the 40’s right as WWII begins. Its about a young girl named Margaret Rose who is a very poor 16 year old and she’s determined not to end up like her mom, raising kids and cooking and cleaning. Her father is abusive when he drinks and sometimes when he doesn’t. Her older brother is her security blanket and he ends up signing up and gets shipped off to war. So determined to get out of her father’s house she elopes with an older man but ends up devastated when his ship is bombed. She learns nursing thru the town Doctor and even ends up in nursing school. When she remarries and gets pregnant she drops out. Her husband ends up falling in love with someone else and divorces her so she remarries again desperate to leave poverty and end up being moved far from home and in a much worse situation. This read is full of emotions and its a very wonderful novel about a very sad life.

Reigning Hearts: The Complete Series (Books 1-5) by KG Fletcher. This is an amazing contemporary romance set. It has 5 full stand alone romances but I highly recommend reading them all. The 1st book is Run to the Sea, Its the story of Emeline Fischer and Thomas Capshaw aka Cappy who are best friends growing up on the beaches of Florida. Emeline is an artist who has to work all kinds of jobs to make ends meet. Cappy has moved on to New York City working as a Sketch Artist. When he finds out he was given his grandpa’s beach cottage after he passed he heads back to Florida. He never expected to see Emeline again but he runs right into her at the cafe he visits. They end up going down memory lane and emotions are all over the place. A very good 2nd chance romance. My other favorite is the 5th book, A Cold Creek Christmas,his is the perfect hallmark, holiday story! Its the story of Amber Tatum who hates the holidays. She is a local pub owner and has always wanted a family of her own but life has not given her what she wants. Trauma from her childhood has left her sad, bitter and tired. Hush, My Darling (Benoit and Dayne Mystery Book 2) by Winter Austin. This author is fast becoming my very favorite author. I loved the first book and this book was even better. I do recommend reading the first book because this one picks right up where book 1 left off. Its the story of Deputy Lila Dayne who has moved to rural Iowa to be a Deputy. She is moving from Chicago where as a police officer she was almost killed by the I-80 serial killer. Sheriff Elizabeth Benoit swears that Lila will have no trouble in the sleepy town in Eckardt County. What Lila and Elizabeth don’t know is the killer has followed Lila to this little town and is about to start creating havoc. When Lila realizes her greatest fear is back she shuts down and pushes everyone out that can help her. Will Elizabeth and the other deputies be able to pull Lila back in to catch the killer before he takes his next victim and finish what he started with Lila. Read this amazing fast paced series! You won’t regret it!

Spring’s Showers (Romantically Seasonal Series) by C.A. King . This is the first book in the Romantically Seasonal Series and I can’t wait for the next after reading this book. Its a paranormal romance about a bet made between Eros and four other gods; Mother Nature, Neptune, the Grim Reaper, and Santa Claus. The other gods believe that Eros has the easiest job of them all so Eros bets them that they can’t do his job. Each god must make one love match. Mother Nature is up first and travels to a small town and finds a gardener named Spring. Spring has not had any luck at love and so Mother Nature aka Greta is determined to find her match. This is such a light hearted read that you will sail thru it and enjoy every minute of it. Will Eros win this bet or will one of the other god’s prevail? Read Spring’s Showers to find out!

Until There Was You by G. Colgrove. This is my first book by this author but it most certainly won’t be my last. This is a fast paced, steamy, love story about Regan who is a South Boston resident who wants nothing more than to get out of there. The only person that is really there for her is her boss at the diner. Jeremy ends up coming in for lunch one day and she is not really attracted to him because the group he is with leaves a lousy tip. Jeremy is smitten with Regan and after some repeated attempts to ask her out she finally gives in. From their first date they are together constantly. Jeremy doesn’t really need the distraction but Regan is like a drug to him. Will Jeremy stay with Regan when he finds out about her family? Read Until there was you to find out!

Finding Melodie and The Wedding Special Boxset by Laura Rossi. This was such a fun Boxset. Its got 2 books included, The Wedding and Finding Melodie. Both were equally great, short reads that won’t let you put them down. In Finding Melodie we meet Melodie a pink haired musician who plays on street corners for money in London. She lives with her 2 gay best friends and they have the best time. One day she meets one of her regulars she calls “Office Guy” who she has a slight crush on and he asks her for help. He wants to propose to his girlfriend and he needs her help. She is a little broken hearted but decides to help him. They end up on a wild adventure together and The Wedding is a continuation of that friendship. In this book they are more than friends and the troubles and pleasures of that relationship are in play. This is a romantic fun boxset that you will love.
