The Boss Prince (It's Raining Royals, #1)The Boss Prince by Alix Nichols
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is my first book by Alix Nichol’s and I absolutely adored it. This book has such a delightful array of characters, and the story itself is original and well developed.
Max and Lucie make quite the pair!! They start off the Royal series with a bang.
Lucie gets a job in Paris working for Max and it all starts off from there. Max is an undercover Prince and a man on a mission, and that is where Lucie comes in because he hires her to assist with his project. Lucie finds Max downright sexy and is happy for the job, but still curious as to why her. Lucie is smart and independent and is very much a match to Max. As these 2 embark on their mission you cant help but get sucked in. The story unfolds with plenty of mystery, steamy chemistry, flirtation, and banter that will keep you smiling until the end.

This novella is charming, fun, a bit mystical and definitely worth a read. The main characters Max and Lucie go on some daring escapades to find the keys and save Max’s hidden gem of a kingdom. Lucie does not know he is the Prince so that makes for some interesting double talk.
This little page turner has a little of everything, intrigue, mystery, suspense, action, adventure, steamy romance, fun, flirty and another royal falling for a commoner. It is filled with a vast amount of information that I wonder if it is important to the continuing tale. If it is kudos for putting so much work into making a much larger story from a series of smaller easy reads.
This story is the beginning of a continuing tale of a secretive mystery that has yet to be solved. I look forward to book two which I am starting NOW!

This is such a charming story. I really enjoyed reading The Boss Prince. It was so much fun seeing places in France mentioned that I have actually been to. It lends such a charm to this story and the humor coming from both Max and Lucie lends a touch of realism to their journey. Too often books leave humor out, and there were so many moments in this book that made me laugh and think that totally sounds like something I could see myself saying or thinking. This is such a fun, romantic, mysterious book and the hidden world that the author, Alix Nicho created is just fascinating! I’m really excited to read the other books in this series and see how things unfold with Mount Evor.

The Boss Prince: a royal romance with humour and suspense, is book one in the It’s Raining Royals series by Alix Nichols. This new to me author had a very easy and well laid out writing style, which was funny, light and a fantastic romantic comedy. Her characters were a delight to read about and the escapades were cleverly set and brilliantly delivered. Steamy rendezvous and laugh until it hurts humour is in abundance in this story. It was just a really light read that was a thrill a minute. A tantalising beginning to a series I know that I will easily escape into. 4 stars.

A cute royal, secret identity, semi-mystery, romance

This story has so many romance tropes in it, yet they all come together well to give an engaging romance novel, the first in a series. Kudos to Alix Nichols. A fairly quick and well paced read.

Boss Prince certainly gave an interesting take on the idea of a royal family. There’s a secret country and within the royal family is an “oracle” who tasked Prince Max with finding a woman who is “the key to the key,” whom will help lead the royal family to keeping their country safe, and hidden.

Once Max and Lucie are together their chemistry and attraction explode, despite them both knowing they should stay sway from the other, romantically at least.

Story ends well and sets up the next book with the continuation of trying to fulfill the prophecy and save their country from ruin.

I loved Lucie’s Aunt and Uncle. Their characters brought a bit of levity to the middle of the book and allowed us and Max to see a bit of background into who Lucie was outside of helping at her mom’s classic fan boutique.

I’m not really a fan of most of Max’s family as characters but I enjoyed how they helped the story move along and appreciate them for what they brought to the table.

The perfect way to spend a lazy afternoon! The Boss Prince is a sweet, HEA romance with a little heat! With a few twists along the way, Alix Nichols keeps this story interesting to the end.

Lucie brutally got dumped by her boss/boyfriend. She knew better but it was easy with Jerome, her ex. Lucie swears to herself never to get involved with a co-worker again. She intends to keep the promise to herself, until her new boss is a hottie carved out of steel and marble. Lucie tells herself that it doesn’t matter how hot he is because he is way out of her league and there is no chance. Max Delaroche is a secret prince from someplace no one has ever heard of, and, if he has his way about it, plans to keep it that way. Max hires Lucie because she is the beginning of a plan to keep his principality safe. Max is totally enthralled by Lucie and her sassiness. Can he keep his secret, even from her?

This short read is filled with humor, love and intrigue. Is there a mole in the palace? Can Max keep Lucie safe from his enemies? There are more questions than answers in this book. We can only hope that there is more to come from these two! This cute caper is the perfect beach book or (like me) way to spend an evening!!

The Boss Prince (It’s Raining Royals) by Alix Nichols is a great fun romantic comedy. While I have never read a book by Ms. Nichols before I can definitely say that I will be reading more from her in the future. Her story was perfectly developed, with just the right mixture of fun, romance, and just a light touch of paranormal. I actually picked up this book because the cover intrigued me, and I was looking for something light-hearted, and a quick read. Boy was I not disappointed, Ms. Nichols developed not only wonderful characters but a fantastic country that will keep her readers hooked through the whole story.

Alix did a fantastic job bringing these characters and this world to life. Lucie has just lost her job, her boyfriend, and her positive outlook. Max and his family were preparing for what his mother had seen; the key to the keys, the solution to their ongoing problem. A job listing is put out where Lucie will find it and the company name gave me quite a chuckle the first few times I read it. The progression of the relationship between Lucie and Max and the ongoing mystery throughout the story made for an excellent read. There is chemistry, there is drama, and there is so much more going on than what either character realizes. I loved the first portion of this series. The writing is great, the characters are easy to love (or loathe depending on who we’re discussing), and the storyline is left open for so much more as it goes on. I look forward to reading more from Alix Nichols and if you’re looking for a romantic and funny story with a bit of mystery, I highly suggest you pick this one up!

Enjoyable romantic comedy with suspense…I am totally game. This is my first book I have read by
Author Alix Nichols and I really liked it. The story is of Lucie and Max. Lucie is down on her luck when she gets fired from her job and her boyfriend breaks up with her. When Lucie answers an ad in the paper for a job she is in luck! Max, whom is a prince, works with Lucie on a “project”. As both Max and Lucie work together, feels start to develop…but will Max and Lucie find the first key that is hidden in a fan so the royal family can keep control of their world? This book was fun to read with some suspense and looking forward to continuing the series.

This is the first book I have read by Alix Nichols. Max is racing to save his small secret country, can he do it? Lucie just lost her job, her boyfriend and needs money. Will a weird ad she comes across be the answer? She is smart, outspoken, and a strong female. Can she help Max and protect her heart? This book had a little bit of everything to keep me turning the pages. Romance, laughter, detective work, and chase scenes!
Am excited to see where the next book leads us.

What a fun read! Kind of a romantic comedy mixed with international heist. The chemistry between Max and Lucie is combustible. They do crack me up. I mean Max’s family needs to take a chill pill. Prophecy, schnophecy, pshaw, haha, what will that do, says Max. Lucie just goes along with what she thinks she is supposed to do and they have the adventure of a lifetime. They also have some steamy times on their adventures. As I mentioned, this is a quick read that is quite entertaining and a bit steamy in spots. You won’t be disappointed. It’s well-written and laid out. I’m looking forward to seeing how things are laid out for Max’s brothers. i’m hoping for more fun adventures down the road.

This book was very cute. I enjoyed the idea of and undercover mission and Lucie not knowing the identity of Max. The name of the organization was fun, too. I really enjoyed the scenes where they traveled the passageways. It was very reminiscent of National Treasure or Robert Langdon in the Dan Brown books. I would like to see how this story progresses in the series and would read more by this author.

I really loved this romance story. The author does an amazing job of mixing a romance and making it so funny at parts I actually laughed out loud. The author does a great job with her characters. I love Lucie. She is a funny straight talking woman and it’s her personality and attitude which adds the comedy to this book.

The story of Max and Lucie working together to find a key in a fan to save Max’s Royal family is a unique story. The attraction between them is immediate but with Max’s secret about being a prince and the job they have actually hired Lucie to do, could their relationship survive.
Will Lucie carry on with this job and not realise her real purpose or will she figure out that Max and his family are just using her in their quest to find a key.

This was the first book I’ve read by this author but it won’t be my last, I highly enjoyed this read from start to finish. It’s not the type of book I would normally read but I loved it through and through.

This author wrote with such great detail, with hints of history included and I loved that, it really provided a well-rounded story and I was able to clearly picture everything out in my mind. I loved the characters as I was super intrigued by their individual stories and I enjoyed getting to know them better.

I look forward to reading more from this author asap and I would recommend this book to others.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Boss Prince by Alix Nichols is a good romance novel. It has just the right amount of magic and romance to make it feel attainable yet still fantasy. I do wish the prophecy was explained a little better because I am not entirely sure about Mount Evor and MINDFUCH and what feels like magic, but the romance was excellent and detailed!

Following The Key to the Key and Max, we see a good amount of back and forth. Lucie refuses to get involved in another boss and Max has more important things to worry about than a girl to warm his bed. But reading their feelings as they both tottle along their feelings was heartwarming and very sweet! Sometimes a little steamy too 😉 This was a very good book! I can’t wait to continue this series!

This is my first book by Alex Nicolas and it did not disappoint. It was a really enjoyable quick-read rom-com that ticked all the boxes. This was a good 4 star read.
It did take me some time to get pulled into the story as I got to know the characters.
Lucie is a hard worker and when she is offered a job after an interview, that had me LOL at times with the questions she meets her new boss Max. Max is a Prince unbeknownst to Lucie and he is looking for a key. Will Lucie be able to help Prince Max find what he is looking for?

Overall this was a read that had humor, steaminess and more. The characters grew on me and I loved them by the end. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I look forward to reading more from this series. 1-click and get started today.

I wasn’t so sure about it, when I started reading Alix Nichols book The Boss Prince. I was wondering where it was going to go. I’m glad I kept at it because it was definitely good. Wonderfully written character arcs to go with an interesting world Alix Nichols created.
Max, a prince of Mount Evor, has been tasked on a mission to find the first of nine keys to save their secluded country from being dissolved. Lucie, the key to finding the key Max needs to work with to succeed. Based on the prophecy that came upon his mother.
The light humor Alix Nichols gives Max, despite his royal background, made him a little and airy presence that made me love his character. Lucie written in a typical slapstick personality that I can relate too, being that’s the type of person I am! With the backdrop of France throughout most of the story, it was refreshing to read something different taking place on foreign soil to me.
I look forward to keeping up with this series and the quests to find the other 8 keys!

The Boss Prince was exactly what it promised to be. It was fun, flirty, and mysterious. With that being said, I thought it was okay. It was a fun ride with steamy moments. But the heroine is a little too gullible for me. She also devolved from a responsible adult to reckless but in an irresponsible way. Like you are SO handsome, of course I will break the law for you! It was a good idea, and it was a fun read, but not my cup of tea. So if you are looking for a light-hearted, easy read, give it a shot!

The Boss Prince is the first book in It’s Raining Royals series by Alix Nichols. This is the first book I have read from Alix Nichols, so I really didn’t know what to expect going in- but the premise sounded fun, so I grabbed a copy and followed along.
This is a very light-hearted romantic comedy- with a just a drop of the paranormal- which made for a quick, easy, and fun read.
I did enjoyed the fact that Ms. Nichols created a whole unknown ‘country’ in vivid detail. Right down to royalty, customs, and lore- the story was well developed. The characters had also been well crafted- though there were some aspects I would have liked to explore further, but perhaps more detail will come in future books.
Looking forward to seeing what Sasha and Arnaud get up to in Book #2…

Thank you, Alix Nichols!

I enjoyed this romance story that pulled me in from the beginning. This is a story that made me laugh in parts and hard to put down in others. This is a well written story about a woman who loses her job only to get a new government job but the problem is he is a prince as well. What happens to them next I would highly recommend picking up this book. Together they will make you laugh and even get a little steamy in other parts. They have great growth and chemistry throughout the story. I also enjoyed what they brought to the story and how fun, entertaining they made it. This is a hard to put down romance story where the author used details to not only bring the story to life but also gave it a realistic feel. I really enjoyed this book and it certainly is worth reading.

If you are looking for a romance with adventure, I would recommend The Boss Prince by Alix Nichols. I read this in just a couple of hours and it kept me engaged the entire time. Her boss, unbeknownst to her, is Prince Max Delaroche. These two set out on a journey to find a key, but along the way they find and discover their love for each other. This is a fun book with bits of humor mixed along the way. I really enjoyed Lucie’s character. Looking forward to the upcoming books in this series for a quick read.
