I’ve read each of the previous Echo series books and I needed to read this one as well. Each book passes through one of the characters from the previous books so some of the past characters are brought into the newer stories or at least mentioned. In each book as well, there are elements of romance, suspense, mystery, new beginnings, friendships and family. Reading a new book is like getting reacquainted with a good friend! I absolutely love this series! Curtis, one of the bandmates of Canis Major and the brother of Calliope, was at the wrong place at the wrong time and witnessed something he shouldn’t have. One of his former security guards while on tour, Lina comes back in the picture after knowing of this news and in the nick of time is there to protect Curtis from possible danger. Throughout this suspenseful moving story, attraction grows stronger between Lina and Curtis as she continues to protect him however she can and hoping for love to emerge along the way.

I loved this romantic suspense! It’s the fourth installment of The Echo Series and it did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the fact that our female character’s job was to protect our male character. I’ve not seen that in very many books at all, and this author pulled it off so well. Their chemistry popped off the pages so well and the steamy scenes added to the story. The drama, suspense, action, and emotional rollercoaster you’ll experience in this book is definitely worth it. While this could be read as a standalone, I feel there is a reason that it is part of a series, so starting from the beginning has its benefits. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next!

This is the fourth book in this series. This is a series that keeps getting better and better with each book. I highly suggest reading the previous books as well to help your enhancement of this author’s writing skills. They can be read as a standalone but they are really enjoyable stories you don’t want to miss. This is a well written story where the author used details to make the story come to life on each page. The characters are connectable, engaging and they certainly bring romance. A story about getting caught between duty and love. Which one will win? Could it be that both situations are a win? I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into their world from the start. They have great attraction and growth throughout the story. A fast paced story that is not only hard to put down but also engaging to the end. I really enjoyed this story and I highly recommend it.

Dangerous Rhythm is the fourth book in The Echo series by C.R. Alam. I have really been enjoying this series, each book capturing my attention as the series just seems to be getting better and better with each new instalment. And this one is definitely my favourite of the series, so far. This story had me invested right from the get-go. Who doesn’t love a Rockstar/bodyguard romance. Well, this takes that and gives it a twist- as he’s the rockstar and she’s the bodyguard. Yeah, that got my attention too. When he witnesses a crime that puts him in the crosshairs of a psycho mob boss, thing take a dangerous turn. Her job is to make sure he stays safe. But as they are forced to flee, things heat up in more ways than one. What happens you may wonder. Well, this is definitely worth the read to find out. Each book in the series focuses on its own ‘couple’, so they can be read as standalones if you wanted. But the stories have all, so far, revolved around the band, Canis Major, and/or their friends and family- giving plenty of captivating content to keep you flipping the pages, as well as providing additional details and storylines- which help to build depth, as well as paint a bigger picture’. If you love rockstar romance, family, friendship, emotional struggles, angst, some danger, intrigue, and plenty of sizzle- then this is definitely the story/series for you. Happy Reading…

4.5 stars Dangerous Rhythm is the fourth explosive book in the romantic suspense The Echo Series. It is action packed and so engrossing that the story was over before I wanted it to be. The story is refreshing as the protector roles were reversed. The book is well-written with characters that are well developed, with faults, strengths and weaknesses that make them believable. CR also intertwines the characters throughout the books, so we get to check in with them. Her job is to protect the one man that gets under her skin. But can she do her job, keep him safe and not give in to his charms. He life looks picture perfect, but he unwittingly finds himself thrust into a dangerous world where murder is the norm of a day. This is a captivating tale has suspense, tension and angst, chemistry and steamy scenes, unbridled passion, danger, pain and emotions. If you are a fan of romantic suspense, you will enjoy this book. C. R. Alam has done it once again! True to her nature she has written another steamy, romance novel that follows in The Echo Series. Not only was I excitedly awaiting this newest tale in the series to come out I was so ecstatic to find out it was finally going to find a love interest for the fun-loving Chris Sullens, hotel mogel extraordinaire. I have loved his character since he was introduced in the first Echo Series book when he helped to bring our original love birds together. You will love the fire that burns between Chris Sullens and Rowan Kelly as they fight their obvious attraction to one another, and try not to make a bigger mess out of Rowan’s crumbling inn. Another great read by C.R Alam. I had started the series on his forever muse, so I went back and read this and was not disappointed, It was just as good as the second one. Although the relationship between Rae and Dean was slow burning,it was not lacking any chemistry. The story was a real page turner, with their on/ off statues leaves you dying to know what happens. I’m so happy they got their happily ever after. Reading this one after his forever muse makes me love Brandon even more than before. Im off to read the next book. I highly recommend reading.

I was waiting for this book to be released so I could read it. After the much anticipated wait I gotta say 10 out of 10 . Definitely Tied with the second book as my favorite of the series is so far. C.R Alam is amazing. She is hitting all of my favorite tropes when reading. I’m looking forward to seeing more of the new characters that were introduced in the book.the author really gets you to feel every emotion the characters feel. The third book in the Echo series which I think was the best of the three books in the series. This book brought together family connected by blood and by truth filled friendships. Rowan Kelly is working on bringing the the family Inn back to its glory as a promise to her father. Her brother has managed to create a working farm on their land on a quaint Maine island. When Chris Sullens appears on the island to meet Rowan and her brother to help mediate to bring together meeting his friend, things take a turn no one expected. What could go wrong when Chris offers to help with the preparations for a wedding in 2 weeks?
The author has done it again! Her writing is not just about romance but about the whole dynamic of the main characters Chris and Rowan but all the new and interesting friends that come along to create a world the reader can imagine being in. I sure hope that the author has a few more books in the works for the Echo series!

I must say that the fake relationship books are up there in my favourites so I was already loving this book before even properly starting!
I loved Rowan and Chris; they had such chemistry! I was most certainly rooting for them all the way through reading. I enjoyed reading about the inn and seeing Rowan and Chris work together and the attempts to remain profession were so sweet. I didn’t have a favourite as I loved both Rowan and Chris equally, they both were strong individual characters.
I found this book the most heart-warming and my favourite so far in the series! I will be looking out for mor by this author.

Once again, the author has created vivid imagery of both the scenery and the characters. I found myself picturing each scene with ease and feeling like I had stepped into the story to join them. The writing style used was smooth and flowed very well, making the experience more enjoyable.
Calliope has had some trauma in her past which throws a spanner in the works for the budding relationship between her and Brandon, however the development she goes through shows how strong she is. Brandon also experiences some character development and I love his character a lot, but Calliope’s resilience and strength make her my favourite.
Please be aware domestic violence is addressed in this book, but it is not graphic. I would still advise anyone who is affected by this topic to consider this prior to reading.

This is the first book in The Echo series, and I was not disappointed.
The author created vivid imagery of both the world surrounding the characters, as well as the characters themselves. I could picture each scene with ease and almost felt as it I had stepped into the story to join them. The writing style used was smooth and flowed very well, making the experience more enjoyable.
Dean and Rae are both very stubborn and combined with their past experiences leading to trust issues, leads to obstacles in their growing attraction. Both showed development at times, moving forwards toward each other, but only one at a time causing the other to drawback. This is one of the reasons that the character felt more real, they’re flawed and their responses to obstacles (e.g. the pulling back) felt believable.
My favourite character was Rae; she possesses patience while still knowing her worth. This combined wither her confidence and independence makes me wish I had half of her personality.
In the next books of the series, I hope that we learn more about the ‘supporting’ characters as the series progresses. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

I love when books intertwine with other books! It gets me in my feels! A fake relationship trope is another favorite of mine and I love the drama and angst it brings while reading it. One arching theme that I am finding throughout this series is the need to balance one’s dreams with someone else’s. Rowan says it best when she says that she is putting herself first, not taking a backseat to anyone else’s career, and will not expect anyone to take a backseat for her dreams. Finding that balance between the partner’s goals is important. I think that each person is willing to find ways to make both dreams/goals work is HUGE!!
Rowan has a lot going on. Her father disclosed that he has a secret daughter that he abandoned right before he died. He asked Rowan to find her sister. Rowan and her father were working on restoring the family’s seaside inn and is now doing it alone. Rowan recently quit her ‘big city’ job to come back home to run the inn. She also walked away from a 5-year relationship because he was diminishing her. Now she has a limited amount of time to get everything up and running for a family wedding.
Chris is on a mission of sorts. He is on vacation to help out a friend and make a trek to his father’s place for a visit. Chris is actively trying to avoid going to his father’s, hence the favor for a friend. This favor has him checking out a small seaside inn. The friend? The half-sister of the current owner’s. When Chris gets to the inn, he realizes that his preconceived notions of his friend’s half-siblings were all wrong. Now he has volunteered to hang out at the inn and help Rowan with the wedding.
Sparks fly…figuratively and literally. Massages are given. Rings are exchanged.
I have enjoyed each installment of the series. I think Rowan’s fiery nature is one of my favorites. Worth the read! The whole series is. Add to your TBR.

This series really knows how to pull at the heartstrings. I absolutely love The Echo Series. Unexpected Entanglement was a wonderful addition to the series. Though very much a series these books work well as standalone novels as well. The author is at it again. The ability to make the reader happy, sad, angry, and bring tears to one’s eyes is a gift that not all possess. In saying that and the emotional rollercoaster ride I just finished, this is my favorite book in the series to date. I hope there’s more. Chris and Rowan are wonderfully written. Two characters on different paths when their lives collide. Recognizing the best in one another and using those attributes to make Rowan’s property rebuild and first wedding event a success. Not without drama Bright Head Inn & Farm keeps running into some speed bumps. Patriarch passing, an estranged sister, some cosmetic issues, or the neighbor who’s lobbying for the property won’t prevent them from prevailing. The sister is the reason Chris is there in the 1st place. It’s the other sister he meets at the Inn he can’t keep out of his head and heart. Determined to help he would do anything for Rowan, only if she lets him. The Echo Series keeps you on your toes. It keeps you wanting more. I’ll reiterate that you can read these books without reading the others, however my question is “why would you?” Time to take a dive into these characters’ lives, you won’t regret it.

Another really sweet romance from this author! I don’t want to say too much for fear of spoiling anything, but it was an enjoyable read from start to finish. I loved getting to see Chris get his happy ending after all. We even still got to see someone our favorite characters from the previous books in the series too.

This series has been extremely well written and I have enjoyed all three stories. This one follows Chris Sullens. He owns and develops small resorts in some of the most beautiful areas in the world. He finds himself on a small island in order to help Rae, his best friend’s new wife, when she finds out some interesting family news. I like that this book circles back to some of the reasons Rae is untrusting in book one. Chris is flashy and comes from money, but he really wants to move away from that and loves his Eve Collections resorts that he created. When he arrives on the island he is instantly interested in Rowan. She is a red headed, independent spitfire who is running the family inn. Not everything has been easy for her after her father dies and drops a bomb on her and her brother. Chris shows up shortly before they are supposed to throw a family wedding and for some reason offers to help her. He has worked every part of the family business and tries to help where needed. He is there to help Rowan and they find themselves in some unexpected and strange occurrences. I loved the setting of this book so much and can imagine the small island feel, the inn and all the land, and the characters who live on the island too. I enjoy when an author writes books based on different characters but with overlapping stories so I can still read about the other characters.

This book was just as good as the first and I loved getting to know the characters even more. The story line in book two focuses on Brandon and Callie. We get to know Brandon in book one as the protective best friend to Rae and band mate to Curtis. Brandon is the front man in a rock band and also paints in his free time. He really wants to find the love of his life and settle down, but he feels that person may have already slipped away. Callie works in art and runs into Brandon while they are both visiting Morocco. Callie lives in Paris and we hear snippets of her life in book one because she is Curtis’s sister and long time friend of Brandon. Brandon has loved Callie since they were kids so he goes to Paris for a visit. Callie is still troubled from her past and an abusive relationship. Brandon wants to figure out how to still be in a rock band and live on different continents, he wants to hold onto Callie and get another chance at being happy. Callie is haunted by her past and is having a hard time letting anyone, including Brandon, into her life and her heart. The book was so good. It did have abuse and difficult situations, but it was very well written and I needed to know what was going to happen. This is a hopeful and romantic book with a little steamy romance too. I loved it and can’t wait for book three!

This book was a page turner! I loved the enemies to lovers story line and I really enjoyed getting to know the characters. Rae is a single and very independent woman who writes a travel blog. She is asked to pick up some work for a friend because the original writer couldn’t make it. Rae shows up to an amazing home in Georgia and she meets the homeowner, Dean. Dean was left at the altar a few years prior and he has a lot of feelings and baggage that he just pushes down and he swears off women and dating.. Dean’s sister is the one who set up the magazine article because she designed the house and he is rarely there. Rae and Dean do not get off on the right foot and after a few days they say their goodbyes. After the article is written, Dean reaches out to give his thanks but Rae doesn’t want to have anything to do with dating or even dinner with Dean. While attending a party where her best friend’s band is playing, she runs into Dean again, after all his company owns the contract for Brandon’s band. Dean decides he needs to spend time with Rae to see if whatever is happening or whatever they are feeling will be worked out and they can move on. They walk the park, they spend time eating and talking, and enjoying each other’s company. Rae says they are friends but Dean starts to feel more and becomes very jealous of the friendship that she has with Brandon. I loved getting to know the characters and would like to know even more about their pasts. I liked the story line that kept me turning the pages. I can’t wait to start the next book!

I thought this book had everything needed to be a good read. There was the long lost sibling no one knew about, the will that showed the property should Be spilt between the siblings Including the new one they didn’t even know about. The unexpected attraction between Rowan and Chris. Lots of suspense!!! I thought this book was perfectly written. Rowan is such a strong character but with Chris by her side to protect her and help her, she is unstoppable. At first Chris seemed to want to get in, see the facts and then get out but he vowed to stay and help and he did just that.

This is another excellent addition to this series, that can be read as a stand alone, but I doubt that you will want to once you get started.
When Rowan and her brother Kieran lose their father and learn of a half-sister all at the same time, they are not sure what to think or do. Rowan and her father were working on restoring their family inn, located in Vinalhaven, Maine, to its former glory, when her dad unexpectedly has a heart attack and passes away, leaving Rowan with a final message to find her sister, Rae. As Rowan and Kieran try to finish the work they had already started on the inn, as well as the farm attached to the inn, they try to find Rae, as the three siblings have been given the property to run together, and they all three have to be a part of it. Rae, however, is unable or unwilling to just suddenly become a part of what is going on, so her friend Chris decides to go check things out for her first. Rae is a well known travel blogger and her husband is part of a popular band, and they are worried that the siblings only want to find them for their investment abilities. Chris Sullens shows up without warning, but does explain to the siblings why he is there. Chris’ family owns a large, well known hotel chain, and Chris, himself, owns and runs a smaller hotel chain of destination based hotels. Chris is able to help Rowan to formulate more ideas of how to help her family’s inn come back, while getting it back up and running for a family wedding. When the pair unexpectedly find themselves to be fake engaged, in an effort to ward of unwanted advances of a suitor for Rowan and unwanted criticism from town elders who think they have the right to run the island and view it as theirs to control, the pair discover that they are good together – in more ways than one.

I have read a few books from this author and she always blows my mind with her stories. This is the third book of the very addictive The Echo series. This book could be read as a standalone but there are previous characters in this book as well. I was so excited when I got this book I started it right away. I could not put it down until the end. I can’t wait to see what this author will write next.
Rowan Kelly found out that she inherited an inn for a relative. She is only concentrating on her cousin to have the best wedding ever. Rowan knows that the inn needs some work so she is happy to do just that. She is busy cleaning this inn when a handsome stranger offers to help her. Rowan doesn’t want a man’s help but she feels something she never felt before. Will Rowan give her cousin a beautiful wedding or will it all be destroyed?

Unexpected Entanglement is the third installment of the Echo series. C.R. Alam loves to write heartfelt and steamy love stories that feature characters her readers would root for. Unexpected Entanglement is the story of Rowan and Chris. It is most definitely heartfelt and steamy. And Rowan and Chris are both lovable, relatable, and the type of characters you just can’t get enough of. Alam writes with such emotion the readers feel as if they are alongside the characters on an adventure. The detail in her descriptions allow the reader to feel the heat on their face, feel the flutter in their heart when someone special walks in the room, and smell the scents of all the great food. Some of the characters from previous books return but there are many new characters throughout that bring me to believe there could be a fourth installment to The Echo Series. C.R. Alam has quickly become one of my favorite, go-to authors and I would recommend her books to ANYONE who will stop and listen to me rant and rave about my most recent reads. I will shout it from the rooftop: This is a MUST READ! You won’t want to miss this one. And if you haven’t read the other installments in this series, you won’t want to miss out. Promise!

This was a great 5 star read. Rowan and her family have been working on getting her inn ready for a family wedding. There is an unexpected twist that turns her world upside down in several ways. It was a heartbreaking moment, my emotions were all over the place. Chris shows up in town and his plans end up changing when he offers to help Rowan. As they work together their feelings start to build, I really enjoyed the banter between them. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. I really liked all of the characters. It felt like we got more than one story. If you like romantic suspense I suggest you 1-click and get started today. I look forward to reading more from this series and author.

This is the third book in the Echo series and I loved it!
Wanting to prove that she is capable of running her family’s inn, Rowan Kelley is determined to turn things around for her cousin’s wedding. Things change when she meets Chris Sullens.
Planning on just staying for a day, Chris Sullens finds himself helping Rowan with the Inn. He finds himself faking to be her fiancée and helping her with the Inn.
I can never turn away from a fake relationship trope. I must admit that this is the case of don’t judge a book from its cover. The cover is cute but I never would have imagined that this was the story written between the pages. A plot that hooked me from the first page.
There are other novels in this series so I will have to go read them.

Again I just got lost in the cover art ❣️love the dedication ❣️📚
So now we’re all friends or rather family it really felt good to be amongst my people again 🫶🏼 knowing Rae and her history I was curious to hear how the other family lived…
I can only imagine the shock Rowan must’ve had first of loosing her father and then his dying words and wish 🥲so Rae can’t meet up with her family but Chris goes on her behalf and he has alterior motives and none are sinister but the man has his own issues and he’s protective of his friend , bless his heart …..
So Chris and Rowan didn’t get off to a good start but soon enough they’re working as a team to arrange the wedding , promote the inn , get the community on board oh and find out who is trying to sabotage them around every corner …. I know such excitement !
Kieran is a good soul and a protective brother but his heart is in the right place and I just fell in love with his nature 😉
Alit of people saw Chris as a threat which in turn put Rowan in a difficult position so out of pure desperation she makes a rash decision that puts both her in Chris in the limelight but man what sun it was to watch these two , they’re so different yet so similar , a perfect match I must say 🥰😉
Gibbs worked on my last nerve but again you can’t fault the old guy , his heart is in right place he’s just not always good at showing it and more often than not comes across as a real gruff and grumpy old man , please be patient with him and his show him love , I know these people have become part of me so I just want others to love them like I do 😘
This is a story of love , redemption, regret, forgiveness, remorse , hope and so much more but it’s also laced with anger , jealousy and vengeance. I was kept on my toes , I laughed , cried , held my breath and cheered friends on and I’ve a new found respect for cats 🐾🤣, just saying !

Prepare to fall in love with Rowan and Chris. I enjoy fake dating tropes mixed with drama and mystery. There was so much to their story together, as much as individually. They come together unexpectedly, and each can’t ignore the pull they feel to each other. This was a great read. Chris is doing a favor for a friend, and Rowan is trying to keep her family business alive. Together they build an entanglement meant to last.
