The Girl and The Demon (The Girl and The Raven, #3)The Girl and The Demon by Pauline Gruber

I love it when a book comes along that I just can’t put down. It was wonderfully written and had a little bit of everything. I did not realize this was the 3rd book in a series. So now I am planning on going back to read the first two books. I recommend you purchase this book on a weekend when you have nothing going on because you will not want to stop reading!

The Girl and The Demon (The Girl and The Raven, #3)The Girl and The Demon by Pauline Gruber

We enter into the final part of our trilogy. And if you haven’t read the first two, what are you waiting for?! We are with our wonderful group with Lucy and Marcus not to mention Dylan and Selima.

In this ending part of our trilogy we know that Jude is gone and Lucy is really having a hard time with this. Not to mention Lucifer is walking free. Which is mentioned quite a few times as where Lucy got her namesake from.

This was a perfect wrap up to our series. I am looking forward to more books by Pauline Gruber!!

The Girl and The Demon (The Girl and The Raven, #3)The Girl and The Demon by Pauline Gruber
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love this series! The Girl and the Demon by Pauline Gruber is the perfect follow up to The Girl and the Gargoyle! It’s one of those paranormal fantasy worlds, I love getting lost in and wish I was part of.
With the aftermath of the battle with Marcus’s father and his army of mutant protectors, Lucy is struggling living with the fact she ended his life. On top of all that Jude is gone running the demon realm while Lucifer roams hers.
Dylan is struggling to control his demon blood and genes. As well as his step-monster wants to relocate her family, which includes his siblings.
It’s a time in both their lives Jude is really needed, but is stuck elsewhere.
On top of all that Seamus is still out to end Lucy’s life, and has bonded with Ella to help him do so. Utilizing Ella’s dislike for Lucy she’s the perfect person to help him utilize his plans.
I feel bad for Dylan. Lucy starts to grow on me a little but I still feel she’s uber irritating. I won’t deny I love Jude and I was sad when this story started that there was less of him.
I really look forward to reading more by Pauline Gruber in the near future. I’m a sucker for YA Fiction no matter how old I am.

It must be hard having to hide a lot about yourself from the only family you have left. I’m loving this series. Lucy aka Luce is named after Lucifer. I know she’s half demon but I find that intriguing. At times I would think her romance relationship would be strained with everything’s that happen to them.

The Girl and the Demon (The Girl and the Raven Book 3) by Pauline Gruber is an incredible ending to The Girl and the Raven series. While I loved the first two books in this series this one was by far my favorite, filled with witches, demons, and more magical creatures both good and evil, Mrs. Gruber really gives her paranormal readers everything they could ask for. It’s hard not to admire our main character Lucy’s strength and resolve. During these books you’ll find her who life gets turned upside down. But is Lucy strong enough to reveal herself to true evil when she so desperately wants to stay hidden? You’ll have to read this final installment to find our for yourself.

The Girl and the Demon: YA Paranormal Romantic Suspense by Pauline Gruber is the third book in The Girl and the Raven series. I recommend reading this series in order because each book builds on the story. I have enjoyed reading about Lucy and how she has grown throughout this series. I really enjoyed this addition to the series. There are lots of witches, gargoyles, demons, and other supernatural beings. The plot is full of twists and turns which kept me on my toes. This is a great read that I did not want to put down. I am sad to see the story end but look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This was truly a great ending for the series! Lucy and the demon who has been after her finally have it out! Dylan and Katie are her best friends and are there for her every step of the way. Marcus has a lot to tackle with his family which leaves Lucy alone for a bit, and time for the Demon to finally come after her once again. We continue the family drama, friendships beginning with a new perspective, and relationships that evolve and end. I thank Pauline for an overall great series! 🙂

This book was really well written. I didn’t know where this was going and it was page turner for me. Whose behind all of these mysterious murders? Would McAllister really go against Lucifers orders? Why was Jude being kept from his daughter? Would enmity be between Dylan and Lucifer? Keep reading to find out. This book is really engage it. I recommend it for youth and up. The Girl and the Demon : YA Paranormal Romance (The Girl and the Raven #3) by Pauline Gruber

Not the first book I’ve read by Gruber. This is the third book in The Girl and the Raven Series. The Girl and The Demon is an amazing book.

Lucy is missing her father and she doesn’t want Marcus to leave. She isn’t sure where her dad went, but she isn’t going to stop looking for him. Now not only is Marcus leaving, but her uncles are finally getting married. The quote I chose for Lucy is: “That’s nice of you. I will keep you posted once I know when Jude will be home.”

Marcus doesn’t want to leave Lucy when he goes to meet the coven. He thinks that once everything is settled then he can go back to being normal. Then Lucifer comes along and now the one he loves is in danger. The quote I chose for Marcus is: “The council is taking a hard position with my mother. They believe she and Garret were equally responsible. They want somebody’s head. Since Garret’s dead, they are going after her.”

Highly recommended for YA Fantasy lovers.

The final book in the series and it does not disappoint. All Lucy wants is to live the life of a normal teenage girl, but the fates have other ideas for her. Just as she is beginning to establish some type of relationship with her demon father, he is whisked away by Lucifer. Lucy can’t even just settle into a normal routine with Marcus as he is now delving into his own history with the gargoyle clan and she isn’t welcome.

Pauline Gruber is a great author. She is able to write a scene you can envision in your head. Her characters are very relatable and loveable. Her story lines are very easy to follow. I can’t wait for more by this author.

The third and final installment in this YA Paranormal Romance Series, The Girl and The Demon, takes us to the depths of hell. Lucy’s BFF, trying to save Lucy, accidentally summons Lucifer, the most powerful devil in the realm.
With elaborate storytelling, astronomical, unforgettable twists, and complex characters this series will stay in your mind long after you close the cover on book three.
This story really brings the series to a full completion and while I would love to see Lucy have a continuing story later on, yet I am very pleased with the unpredictable outcome of this book.
This is officially going on my TO BE READ AGAIN list! Thank you Pauline Gruber for bringing us such a unique paranormal coming of age story!

This second installment of the Girl and the Raven series is a great continuation to the storyline. Lucy Walker is finally coming into her powers and learning who she is as a person and beginning to find affections for her newly found father.

In this book, the focus is no longer just on Lucy. Marcus’ mother and father who abandoned him with his step father, now want a relationship with him and have him lead the Gargoyle clan. Great, except for the fact that a gargoyle’s job is to kill demons! This book includes many fights and a great deal of drama to keep you on the edge of your seat.

I look forward to book 3!

The Girl and the Demon (The Girl and the Raven Book 3) by Pauline Gruber – Review by Tara Johnson Barnes

The Girl and The Demon (The Girl and The Raven, #3)The Girl and The Demon by Pauline Gruber
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Girl and the Demon is the third, and sadly final book, in The Girl and the Raven series by Pauline Gruber. In the first two books we were introduced to Lucy Walker who discovered that she was half witch and half demon. Her life was turned upside down as she was forced to battle demons and supernatural forces in a battle between good and evil.

In the Girl and the Demon, Lucy feels that her life might finally be returning to normal and that she can live the life of a normal teenager. That sense of calm and normal is short-lived when once again she is forced to battle for her life against her mortal enemy that has returned to finish her off. Lucy was left to deal with the demon that has returned for her without the help of her beloved Marcus, her protector. He is out of town dealing with things of his own and can’t be there to help Lucy when she needs him the most.

It’s bad enough that Lucy is forced to defend herself against her mortal enemy without the help of Marcus but now someone that she thought was a friend has done the unthinkable. She has held a séance and summoned an evil spirit in the process that puts Lucy and her friends in grave danger. To save those she loves Lucy is forced to reveal who she really is and her supernatural abilities. It is now up to Lucy to rescue her friends, her family and an entire city from the evil forces that have set out to destroy her and everything she knows.

After reading books one and two in The Girl and the Raven series I couldn’t wait to read the third and final installment. These books did not disappoint. I fell in love with the characters, especially the character of young Lucy. I admired her strength and her resolve in the face of danger. I truly admired that no matter what she had to endure she did what it took to protect those that she loved the most. The author, Pauline Gruber did an amazing job of writing this entire series! Although it is classified as being for young adults, I feel that it is a series that anyone of any age can enjoy. The characters and scenes are very well written with great world building that makes the reader feel as though they were right there. There is no lack of action or excitement throughout. This book contains it all in one with a nice blend of romance, mystery, suspense, the supernatural, and the battle between good and evil. This was an amazing series and I’m sad to see it come to an end.

The Girl and the Demon

This was a hard read for me as this is the only book I read in this series and it is the final book of this trilogy.
This book was good it has a popular trope that keeps you reading.
This book I feel leaves many questions left unanswered about some characters or Gruber may have a knack with character development that you don’t want their story to end.
Great writing and well developed.
The demons and witches and gargoyles is a nice twist.
There are twists and turns that had me taking an extra breath and reread a page as if I missed something.
I always appreciate a strong female protagonist, read book one and two first because I believe if I did Lucy would be hands down a favorite character of mine.
Girl that is half demon half witch how can that possibly go wrong?
Four stars this was very enjoyable.

As the last and final book in this trilogy I was quite sad to even start this book. I was excited to see that this book has Lucy all by herself and it just shows how much of a badass she is. With Marcus gone and her dad gone she has to rely on herself to protect her and her friends when the mean girl (I really hated her throuought all books) summons a evil spirit. It’s a very good conclusion to the series!!! Well done! I’m happy that I can go back and reread it multiple times!!!!

While Jude’s away, the demons will play.
Lucifer’s taking a break on earth and Jude is left ruling the underworld in his place. Lucy has more challenges to deal with and her team is fighting an old evil that has returned with new tricks up his sleeve. There’s more drama, romance, a wedding, excitement, and of course, demon battles in this book. I’m only sad that we won’t get to see Lucy and Jude’s relationship grow more.

I give The Girl and the Demon : YA Paranormal Romance (The Girl and the Raven Book 3) by Pauline Gruber, 5 stars.
**This review may contain spoilers from previous books in the series.**

I have not been able to put this series down and I couldn’t wait to read this book. By now, things have come together for Lucy, she is learning a growing, and accepts and embraces all of the new relationships she has developed. But that does mean things are the same. Some of the people she loves and depends on are far away and she has to adapt to this. It is basically the same cast of characters, but we learn even more about some of them and where their hearts really lie. Instead of focusing more on Lucy, the story takes in everyone who can help or harm her.

This book builds us up to the final battle of someone who we know is coming. But it’s not just about that. As with the previous books, there are many surprises Along the way. It is written so well and is very interesting and pulls you in. I really would love to see more books in this world, possibly more about how Jude became who is is now.

In my opinion, it is best if you read the previous to books in the series before picking this one up. You will not regret it, this series is one that you won’t be able to stop reading and you will wish for more.

The Girl and The Demon (The Girl and The Raven, #3)The Girl and The Demon by Pauline Gruber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

All of the lovable cast mates are back in the third book of this fun series. Lucy is still working on awakening the witchy side of her genes, and Dylan’s demon is coming out in greater strength. Jude’s absence is affecting everyone, and although he tries to reach out to them, his communications are unclear and incomplete. Lucy is stressed about Marcus leaving to spend time with his protector kin, and unwittingly falls into a trap set by Seamus. I enjoyed hearing from all of these characters again, but I found this book really slow to get going. I was waiting for all of the action I expected from Girl and the Gargoyle, and it took awhile to arrive. Having said that, this book is as well written and developed as the others in this series, and if you enjoyed the others, you should definitely complete your experience with this book.

The Girl and the Demon is the third book in The Gild and that Raven book by Pauline Gruber. I highly suggest reading books one and two because it will enhance the pleasure of this book. This is a YA paranormal/fantasy story. It is filled with witches, demons, gargoyles, magic, challenges, and good vs. evil. The storyline is engaging. I kept turning the pages to see what was coming next in the story. The characters kept my attention and mystified my senses. This story is about Lucy and her friends. Lucy has a lot to think about with her friends, boyfriend, and an evil demon coming after her. Will Lucy be able to keep everyone safe or will she meet her match? I highly recommend this book and all the books in the series. I can only hope that there is more to come.

This is the last of the books in this series and while I will miss reading about these characters, I would have to say this was the best book by far. I will say that if you haven’t read any of the books it is important to read them in order so that you will understand the characters and their story. In this book you finally see the main character come into her full self and become the person that she is mean to be. She is finally able to accept her abilities and use them to her advantage. I’ve been waiting for that to happen. This author is an amazing writer. Her attention to detail is phenomenal and she has me seeing everything going on. It’s like the story jumps off the page and onto my TV screen. The characters and their relationships are so realistic and relatable that I don’t think anyone could be disappointed in this book series.

When Lucy Walker’s mother dies suddenly due to a drug overdose, she is moved from Tennessee to Chicago to live with her Uncles in her Grandmother’s old home. Not only is she thrust into a new life in a new city, she must now navigate the fact that she is a half demon, half witch. Her life in Tennessee in the trailer park did not prepare Lucy for life in the fast lane in Chicago.
