My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It breaks my heart to write this review as we conclude this wonderful series. If there was ever a series that made you wish for more this would be it. Having a teenager of my own it has been wonderful following Lucy as she grows comfortable with who she is and the forces that have shaped her.
In this last book Marcus must go out of town due to a familial obligation and her father Jude is still out of town on his own mission. You would think that with these powerful men out of her life temporarily things might slow down for a bit. That doesn’t happen as one of the mean girls in her friend group performs a séance and accidentally unleashes an evil entity on their city. Lucy must reveal her secret powers to save her friends after coming to the realization that they are like family to her even the ones that don’t like her all that much. While Lucy tries to protect her friends and they try to protect her she catches some unwanted demonic attention. Can she protect her friends or is their city going to hell in a handbasket literally? This is a must-read series that will leave you hooked through the very end!

Another great book in this series. The problems that arise and how Lucy is able to figure it out and solve is so amazing. Lucy a very smart strong welled girl that doesn’t let anything or anyone stand in her way. I love how Lucy can work thou a problem and figure out how to solve it. This book was filled with demons, backstabbing, butyral, and heart ache. But it also is filled with love from her uncles and friends, good ending, friendship, compassion, and understanding. These books feel so much like your back in high school, the way everyone is, friendships, relationships and how things will work out. How Lucy needs to learn to control herself without having to tell anyone what she can do and what she is, you can almost feel the pain that if she does if she would loss everything, but when it does her friends are so helpful and understanding that this friendship will be strong to come. I really hope there will be more to this series and the problems and fun that Lucy will bring in her next adventures.

The Girl and the Demon (The Girl and the Raven Book 3) by Pauline Gruber – Review by Krista Vaughan

The third book in this trilogy was the best! Lucy and her friends are left alone to deal with the demon that is out to kill her! Her father is running hell, Lucifer is walking the earth and her boyfriend Marcus is away dealing with his family! Lucy had to tell her friends what is going on and their love and loyalty for her lead them to do something dangerous to help her defend herself. Danger can come from any direction. Lucy and Marcus’s relationship is strained. This book is a page turner! A great finish to the trilogy!

The Girl and The Demon (The Girl and The Raven, #3)The Girl and The Demon by Pauline Gruber
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Girl and the Demon by Pauline Gruber is a fabulous five-star read. This is number three in The Girl and the Raven series and this one adds something extra to the story, something I never imagined I would see in these three stories, and I would say do read them in order, as you get the best of the overall story following them all. Lucy has pulled many punches through the three stories, and they have been strong and this is an action packed story, one that will keep you hooked on every page. This series ends on a bag, the three stories all come to a great punch.

The Girl and The Demon (The Girl and The Raven, #3)The Girl and The Demon by Pauline Gruber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 3rd book in The Girl and the Raven series. I have loved the other 2 books in this series and I wasn’t disappointed with this book either. I would definately recommend reading them in order so you get the full feel of the characters, their stories and how they are all linked. The story is a supernatural romance which is my favourite. It’s packed full of supernatural beings, romance and danger.

Lucy has had a tough time so far. First she finds out she’s a witch and her father’s a demon. Then her boyfriend turns out to be a protector and when his father tries to kill her she turns and ends up killing him.
Now plagued by guilt and constantly looking over her shoulder for the demon who wants her gone Lucy’s life isn’t about to get quiet.

With her boyfriend leaving to visit the rest of the Protectors, Lucy wonders if he will return to her or will he leave her and stay with his own kind?

Meanwhile while her boyfriend has gone and her father has disappeared, the demon after her now seeing his opportunity. By getting Lucy’s bully at school to work alongside him they put motions in place which means Lucy needs to learn to fight and use her powers fast or she will end up being defeated. Is Lucy as strong and powerful as she has been told she is? Will her boyfriend Marcus return to her? And when her friends get caught up in this fight can Lucy be strong enough to save them all?

The Girl and the Demon (The Girl and the Raven Book 3) by Pauline Gruber – Review by Desiree Ottinger

The Girl and The Demon (The Girl and The Raven, #3)The Girl and The Demon by Pauline Gruber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the third installment of The Girl and the Raven series. It continues the story of Lucy and her coming to terms with being half demon and half witch. With her dad out of reach and her boyfriend out of town, she has her two best friends to rely on helping her stay safe. My favorite part of this book was seeing Lucy come into her own and have more confidence in herself and her abilities. Her friends have become her family and she realizes that she will risk it all to save them; even the girl in her friend group that doesn’t like her.

I feel like the author did a wonderful job describing the intricacies of teenage friendships and emotional angst that they experience in this day in age. I also appreciate that this series continues to be clean in language, and not overly sexualized. Hopefully, Lucy’s adventures continue!

Pauline Gruber you have captivated me, made me forget I have a family, and kids because I simply couldn’t put this book down! Lucy is the strong smart girl that I wish I was growing up! 10 out of 10, couldn’t recommend enough. Your writing style is amazing, your words flow in a way that makes me feel as though I’m there in the very moment and it is something I treasure when I read really good books from really good authors!

Gets better and better
The third book in The Girl and The Raven series and the story just gets better and better. Lucy grows so much throughout this book and we learn a lot more about other characters too. I really love the authors writing style and getting chapters from other characters POV. If you haven’t read the first two books – I suggest starting there as it will give you a better understanding of the storyline and the series as a whole. Fingers crossed that there will be a book four.

The Girl and the Demon: YA Paranormal Romance by Pauline Gruber is the third book in the Girl and the Raven series. I would definitely recommend reading this series in order as it follows the same main characters and would enhance your enjoyment of the series.
As soon as I started reading this book I was yet again pulled into the story. I thought it was entertaining well written. I instantly connect with the main character every time I pick up one of these books. There is something about her that is so engaging and relatable, even though she is much younger than my age range. The author has created a character that is interesting and really can appeal to all.
The story was great to read as well. It was exciting and felt as fresh as the first book did. This is a really strong series that I thoroughly enjoy and seems to get better with each book. I am looking forward to seeing what else this author can produce.

With this being the conclusion of a series that I have loved every bit of, I’m a bit sad writing this review. Lucy has been through so much in these three books. In this story, Marcus must go away due to family obligation, her father is still on a “mission” for her Godfather, and there is a big twist that I did not see coming. It’s true that in any scenario, you always find out who your real friends are. That showed more than ever here with the sacrifice that one of them was willing to make to keep Lucy protected. There was so much going on that I couldn’t stop reading until the book was finished. I loved this story, the characters, the writing, and the relationships. I loved them so much that I am devastated there is no more to read. I would have loved to dive deeper into Dylan’s relationship, what happens to his brother and sister, and what is to come after the significant happenings in this book. * Pauline, if you are reading this – I very much think you could continue this series with a prequel, a sequel, or a continuation! (And I would be OVERJOYED to read any variation.) * I cannot stress enough how fantastic this series has been. I HIGHLY recommend that you get this series today. You won’t be disappointed!

I absolutely love this series, what a fantastic 3rd instalment to this story. Keeping up with the first two books, The Girl and the Demon is another Fast-Paced read and completely unique- truly captivating. With an array of paranormal characters, just the right amount of drama, some mystery and a bit of romance, what’s not to love? Pauline Gruber does such a great job at world building and character development as Lucy’s story continues. Definitely a must read.

Wow! Just wow! I loved the prior two novels and this one delivered so much, and from the prior two I gained a lot of knowledge about the events that surround Lucy and her friends, but this one really went all out. Sadly, it is the final novel in the series, I am sad to see it end, as I had a lot of enjoyment reading this awesome series! The climax to conclusion of the novel, honestly it was perfect and very much suited.

I had been following the journey as well as battles for Lucy and her friends for some time now And honestly, poor Lucy she can not catch a break. She wants badly to live her life as normal as can be, but for who she is as well as what she was, that seems certainly impossible. Things took off really in the prior, leading to this one. So much happens, literally action was happening where ever seemed fit it seemed, I honestly did not know what characters would still be standing by the time I completed reading the book!

This one really gave it all. The author, she’s amazing and she knows exactly what she is doing when she is doing her writing and word play! For me reading this one, I felt I was along side Lucy, as she knew pretty much as I guess she always had , that this is her fight. To save her friends she must fight, and not know what the out come would be, but trust in herself was a big thing of the inner power of herself! The way the ending comes fort was so good and perfectly made. It was a good and well done way to end the series. I really hope I might read some adventures of Lucy and the gang again though!

I have been a fan of this series since the first novel, everything that happens in the prior novels leads into the next one in the series. I loved every character as well as how they grew and became who they were. Basically they found themselves and embraced more less their true nature of who they are and whom they should be. I really enjoyed this series and loved everything of it with all my heart. I will miss seeing what Lucy and her friends get up to or face in the paranormal world they have to deal with. I know for sure what ever the author cooks up next, will be just as amazing, and I will be reading the next thing they will have written! The author wrote a wonderful and compelling series, and I forever thank them for that!

The Girl and The Demon (The Girl and The Raven, #3)The Girl and The Demon by Pauline Gruber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Girl and the Demon is the third book in The Girl and the Raven series by Pauline Gruber. As this is the third book in the series and continues the story that we started back in Book One, I highly recommend reading the first two books before diving into this one. There is a whole lot of important information, character details and development in those first two books which will enhance your reading experience of this book, and the series as a whole.
As with the other two books, this is a very original YA paranormal adventure- with witches, gargoyles, demons, magic, good vs evil, danger, agendas, friendship, drama, challenges, and a little romance- all wrapped up in a well-developed, complex, and multi-layered plot.
The adventure continues as Lucy (and friends) are tested on a whole new level- with the most powerful demon drawn into the mix. What happens makes for a captivating read! I certainly hope there are more books planned for this series!
Happy reading!

Thank you, Pauline Gruber!

The Girl and The Demon (The Girl and The Raven, #3)The Girl and The Demon by Pauline Gruber
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Girl and the Demon is the third and final book in The Girl and the Raven by Pauline Gruber. This YA paranormal romance is original and different to other books of this genre. I enjoyed the first two books in this series and knew this one would be just as good. I mean who doesn’t love a story with witches, demons, and other magical creatures both good and evil. This complex multilayered story will leave you wanting more of Pauline’s unusual.

With danger lurking Lucy is forced to reveal herself to true evil and the world where she wished to remain hidden. Now she just has to survive. Not just YA’s will love this book.

This is the third book in this series which keeps just getting better and better with every one. This is a great author that I have enjoyed from the first book that I picked up from the first book I picked up. I enjoy being pulled into the story by the author’s use of attention to details that gave the story a realistic feel. This is a well written story that took me on an adventure of supernatural characters that bring the story to life. I found this book to be not only fast paced but engaging as well. I enjoyed the growth of the plot and the characters throughout the story. This is a story about Lucy and her adventure of saving her friends and herself from the demon that threatens to break loose in the Windy City. I really enjoyed this supernatural story. It is a great young adult story that I would highly recommend.
