All the Light There Is (The Healing Edge, #3) by Anise Eden – Review by Jana Teppih

All the Light There Is (The Healing Edge, #3)All the Light There Is by Anise Eden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

All the Light There Is by Anise Eden is the conclusion of her Healing Edge trilogy and what a bang it ends with! You cannot read it as a standalone, it is part of the trilogy and you’d be so lost not having read the previous 2 books. It is sad to have come to the end of the journey we started a while ago but all good things come to an end.
All the Light There Is continues where the previous story ended. Cad and Ben think that they are going on a vacation, a working vacation but still a vacation … could they be less wrong? Have they forgotten that they are on an adventure where paranormal mysteries pop up left and right and that their special skillset are needed to solve them?
Cade and Ben cannot solve the mysteries alone so we will have the whole MacGregor Group gang along on the ride where we find out more about who Cate is, who is after them, where we learn what it takes to come out at the other end! It is a story full of mystery, romance and paranormal! It gets so twisted that you are no longer sure who you can trust and who not … The writer has taken a notch up and the way she gives us these heroes and the bad guys … oh man, she really knows how to spin a story! I love the how the different characters contribute to the story in their unique way and they are all needed to bring it home!

All the Wounds in Shadow (The Healing Edge, #2) by Anise Eden – Review by Jana Teppih

All the Wounds in Shadow (The Healing Edge, #2)All the Wounds in Shadow by Anise Eden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

All the Wounds in Shadow by Anise Eden is the second book in her Healing Edge series. I do not think you should read it as a standalone as we are picking up where we left off in the first book – Cate has accepted a position with the MacGregor group and it feels like we are back with old friends.
Cate has started her internship under Ben’s leadership of the team. They have decided to keep their relationship just for themselves for now and I love the slow burn we see throughout the book – as Cate is still ‘in training’ then she is not allowed to have sex (and you can imagine what kind of tension it brings along considering how Cate deals with the emotional overload) and … eat red meat (I wonder why …). I loved how the writer allowed their relationship to grow while they are solving a mystery with their team (and Ben’s old Marine buddies) …
Anise has written a solid sequel that does not leave you disappointed, especially if you like a bit different type of paranormal reading! I am curious to see what she comes up with next (and I hope we will get more of the rest of the team – the paranormal one and the marine-y one!)

All the Broken Places (The Healing Edge, #1) by Anise Eden – Review by Jana Teppih

All the Broken Places (The Healing Edge, #1)All the Broken Places by Anise Eden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

All the Broken Places is the first book in The Healing Edge series by Anise Eden. It is her debut paranormal romance book and it is a great start on a very promising series!
It is from page one that you get pulled into the world of Cate Duncan and she does not let you leave. I think I felt very strong about Cade’s mother committing suicide as the lead singer of my favourite band just committed suicide a month ago and I am still reeling … For me, the book actually went well beyond the supernatural, it tackles the deep issues of depression, suicide and abuse …
I loved Cate the therapist with some unique abilities and my gosh, Ben the head of the program Cate ‘joins’ and the son of the woman heading the whole collection of alternative healers. I have been practicing reiki for almost 20 years so some of the things made me sit back and say, hmm … it is totally possible and it is not so far out …. And all the other people around Cate and Ben, I cannot wait to learn more about them in the books to come or at least I hope so!
Thank you Anise for creating a world that will keep bringing us back, even though we all do not have those amazing and crazy gifts as your MacGregor Group, I think there is a lot we can relate to … Don’t we tend to think that we are right and the others are emotional or … We can see that the writer has really done her homework and we can enjoy the fruits of it … I know what I will be reading next week, I have the next book in the series already downloaded … Join me but please read the first book before starting on the second one as well, you will be lost …
