I loved the first book so I was highly anticipating this one. There’s lots of action and magic in this one, and the world-building is complex and detailed. I love the mix of urban fantasy, cyberpunk and paranormal elements, as it adds a lot of tension and keeps you guessing.

This is a sequel so the first one in this series needs to be read first to fully grasp this book. We leave off with Rune, who has inherited this bar from her aunt after her aunt passes away. This book picks up 2 months after those events take place and in book one, she meets Saint and the events leading up to has caused Saint to take time to come to grips with it all. And even though she hasn’t seen Saint, Saint turns up when this new adventure hits. Megan has delivered a bright brilliantly costructed story for readers alike to enjoy!!!!

5 Star The Saint of Liars (The Lucky Devil series Book 2) by Megan Mackie
I Absolutely loved this book. I highly recommend reading this series in order as it will give you a better idea of what is going on and help with the characters . This authors style of writing is simply amazing. She grabs your attention from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. Her characters are fun and realistic. There’s a bit of everything in this book from action to danger. Rune finds herself in a situation that poses danger to her and those involved. Will there be a war between the different sides? Will Rune get the answers she’s looking for about Justin? Find out what happens next in this fast paced must read . I can’t wait for more from this Author.

The Saint of Liars (Lucky Devil Book 2) by Megan Mackie. This book was just as great as the first not that I had any doubts because this author knows how to create a story world that keeps readers coming back for more. I recommend reading these in order. Once again I was taken on a journey with everything I could ask for in a great story. The characters draw you into their world and I for one was happy to get lost in its pages for a while. The storyline is well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking. Even the smallest details are are focused on and I love when even the small things matter. I’m definitely looking forward to more from this author. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

The Saint of Liars (The Lucky Devil series Book 2) by Megan Mackie was a good dystopia read. This is the second book in the series and I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first. The world was fantastic and well written. Rune and St. Benedict were very well developed and I loved them! This was definitely a page turner that I did not want to put down.

The Saint of Liars is the second book in the Lucky Devil series, i recommend reading them in order! I thought the first book was fantastic, but then i got my hands on this one! Old faces and new appear in this book, and it will keep you even more invested than the first one! Although both books have left me with unanswered questions, i’m sure the author will get to that in future books! I thoroughly enjoy this series so far and i just cant wait for more!

The Saint of Liars is the second book in the Lucky Devil series. I highly recommend reading the first book before you read this one to get a good grasp of the characters and events that set this book up. Plus, the first book is an amazing read too. I truly love the blend of tech and magic in this series. In Saint of Liars, Rune discovers more about her abilities, which is a fascinating aspect of the story line. The tension between St. Benedict and Rune is nearly palpable. I’ll be interested to see how that plays out in future installments. St. Rachel is kind of a person I love to hate. Well, not hate really, but she keeps throwing a wrench in the potential romantic works. This book is a stellar read! Highly recommend it.

This book is so much better than the last one. I know..I know… I needed the last one to help make sense of some of this one. We see a lot of the same characters coming back into play. This story is full of suspense and has a lot of action. It just kept rolling right along and I could hardly put it down. Plus there is the whole side story between Rune and St Benedict. Will they or won’t they? Can they or can’t they? To be honest…this area still left me up in the air. I even read slowly and multiple times.
Overall it’s a real good story. Characters that are likable and you learn to care about. Sometimes it take you out to left field but the story doesn’t leave you there. It always brings you back.

This is book two in the ‘The Lucky Devil’ series by Megan Mackie, the storyline is set in an alternate Chicago where technology and magic are in competition with each other. This is an urban fantasy/cyberpunk novel with a fast paced storyline and some great characters. SciFi novels are not my usual genre but having discovered the first book in this series and enjoyed it I was happy to give this second instalment a try and I thoroughly enjoyed being back with Rune and visiting her ‘Lucky Devil Bar’. I was pulled back into the alternate world that Megan Mackie wonderfully creates and was fully immersed in Runes next adventure. Rune Leveau knew the peace couldn’t last and once again finds herself at the centre of a battle between bullets and magic as warring factions converge on her bar. Everyone from the Kodiak Corporation, the Magic Guild, and the Faerie King himself, are after the ‘Finder’. The Masterson Files, which is a computer program with the impossible ability to cast magic is still the major prize wanted by all and they all think that Rune is the key as her former husband built the revolutionary code. Rune feels that cybernetic corporate spy, St. Benedict is the only one who can help her but she’s aware that they are both keeping secrets and telling each other lies. Rune finds she has to trust the, Saint of Liars to help her find Justin Masterson. This novel was full of action and drama all set in an alternate world where main character, Rune really brings the story together and moves the plot along. I was gripped from beginning to end and found the storyline exciting and the narrative easy to read.

Megan Mackie wrote this fast paced story. You are sucked in on page one, and remain reading until the last page. I love the characters and their ability to use magic when needed. There are Fairies, Wizards and Rune. I love the story! The fantasy as well as St. Benedict brings you into this rollercoaster, just like Rune. Answers are needed and only reading this book will get those for you. I hope you enjoy Megan Mackie’s book as much as I did. Be sure to read book 1 first. It will help you get to know some of the characters involved in this book. Well Done Megan Mackie!

This is the second book in the Lucky Devil series and it is another great addition. We pick up with a Rune the main character, Rune finds herself drawn into a war between corporations, everyone wants her for her powers of finding lost things. I really enjoyed reading this book, I love Rune her character is so relatable and you feel instantly drawn to her. We see a few characters from book one including Saint Benedict. We also have some new characters to get to know and I think they added a lot to this story. Really looking forward to the next instalment. I would definitely recommend reading.

We are back with Rune Leveau at the Luck Devil Bar. We Met Rune in Book one when she had inherited the bar from her Aunt who had recently passed away. The Lucky Devil series is about a young woman named Rune who is a wife named June Masterson who reinvented herself after her abusive husband threw her under the bus for his crimes. Rune doesn’t trust the corporations so things are rough until she decides she wants to find out her ex-husband’s secrets. Rune is a great protagonist and Saint Benedict is just the perfect love interest for her despite both of them carrying serious emotional baggage. The story truly does deepen and expand, building on the characters and plots from the first book. The world Megan builds is so clear. Magic and corporate intelligence, is a wonderful combination. Once again Megan Mackie has created a book that has the old world and modern world colliding in the most amazing way. There is magic, action adventure, suspense, some mystery, drama, tension, chemistry, intrigue, danger, secrets, different realms….as well as a slew of mystical and mythical creatures. Who wouldn’t want to jump down this rabbit hole?!?!

Wow! The Saint of Liars (The Lucky Devil series Book 2) by Megan Mackie was so good I read it in two sittings. Would have been one but my body betrayed me and forced me to sleep. So yes, it was that good. Excellent world crafting in this story as always. This one came with a new twist, not only do you get the clear visual of the magical world there is a new digital world too. The relationship between St. Benedict and Rune keeps me in a dither. I think Rune knows how she feels. An excellent story with in-depth characters that I became totally immersed in. You won’t be sorry with this one.

The Saint of Liars (Lucky Devil Book 2) by Megan Mackie 4 Stars!!!!
A yet again I am drawn into the supernatural world of Megan Mackie’s design and not let down. I really found myself unable to put this book down. I just really like how the drama is really balanced. The characters really come to life and I felt as though I was right in the action with them.
I found that I could relate to Rune and could really feel the emotions she was going through. The author has done such a great job of balancing out the drama in the book and grabbing the reader’s attention. I really got drawn into the book and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This is the second book in the Lucky Devil Series and I enjoy this just as much as the first one.
Rune is back and finds herself in the middle of a war between corporations. They all want to use her special ability to find something. Rune’s husband was working on a computer programme that allows you to use magic. However this programme and the code got lost when Rune and her husband James were arrested and the corporations believe Rune is the key to finding it and allowing them to become more powerful.
The only person she feels she can trust in this is St Benedict but with the lies he has told her in the past can she really trust him.
Can she solve this mystery and actually find out what happened to her husband James and save the programme from the wrong hands or will she be betrayed by the people she thought she could trust.
Its an edge of your seat gripping ride that keeps you hanging on to find out what happens at the end.

The Saint of Liars (The Lucky Devil series Book 2) by Megan Mackie. I loved this book. I don’t usually read this genre but I read the 1st book and I loved it. The 2nd installment did not disappoint. Its the story of Rune who in the 1st book was left The Lucky Devil Bar by her aunt who had recently passed. She also found out she has “powers”. After her ex husband leaves her hanging for crimes he committed and steals the files that have all her magic in them she is determined to find him and make him pay. The only problem is Rune isn’t the only one looking for this file and the people that are also looking for it will do anything to get it! Rune’s new love interest Saint Benedict is going to try to help her by telling his boss. He promises to help Rune but he wants her help in finding her ex. Can Rune trust anyone? Will she find the file before its too late! Read The Saint of Liars to find out!

The Saint of Liars is book two in the Lucky Devil series by Megan Mackie. If you haven’t already I would recommend starting with book one.
I really enjoyed this book, having already met some of the characters in book one I found it easier to follow and, as a result, more enjoyable. This story is jam packed from the start, and the fast pace keeps your turning pages and wanting more. The story starts back with Rune, just a few months after where book one ended. She’s having problems both magical and financial. Rune is a character that you can’t help but like and, for me, she holds the book together. Rune’s past is not a happy story and unfortunately it’s starting to catch up with her. You meet some familiar faces again in book two. Saint Benedict is back and has his own troubles. I feel for this character, but sadly I didn’t quite like him as much in book two. You also get to meet some much-needed fresh faces who help to breathe life into this story. If you like fast-paced action-packed stories then this one is for you.

As warring factions converge on The Lucky Devil bar, she finds herself in the center of a battle of bullets and magic.
The corporate entities that ruled Chicago aren’t through with the Finder yet and the other powers-that-be don’t intend to be left in the dust. Between the Kodiak Corporation, the Magic Guild, and the Faerie King himself, everyone’s after Rune.
The real prize? The Masterson Files, a computer program with the impossible ability to cast magic.
Everyone seems to think Rune is the key, but she doesn’t have a clue what happened to her former husband or his revolutionary code. Despite the lies between them, the only person she can turn to is cybernetic corporate spy, St. Benedict.
Can she trust the Saint of Liars to help her answer the one question that matters to her most: Where is Justin Masterson?

The Saint of Liars by Megan Mackie is the second book in The Lucky Devil Series a picks up two months after the last book left off. I am loving this paranormal thriller urban fantasy series. I was hungry to read this book after finishing the first and sat and gobbled it up in one day. There was no way I could put it down as there is so much going on I had to know where it was going. There is magic and magical creatures that are mystical. There is drama and action at every turn, adventure and danger that will have you holding your breathe, suspense and intrigue caught up in the twist. Searching for the truth between the secrets and lies is paramount as we traverse through different realms, different worlds that Megan has cleverly woven. Rune and Saint Benedict really make the story pop and their complicated relationship is one I hope continues to evolve. The only thing I found a little confusing was that the story was told in different POV’s and there was no indication it was so until you read and reread it a couple of times but once you knew what to expect it was ok. I hope to see a third book to this series as I feel there is so much more to be told and enjoy.

The Saint of Liars is the second book in The Lucky Devil Series by Megan Mackie. I am absolutely loving this brilliant series! After falling in love with the first book, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this second instalment. I dove right in and devoured it in a day. It is definitely every bit as good as the first book, and there is no way that I could pick a favourite out of the two. The overarching storyline is spellbinding and full of intricate details and incredible world building. This is an urban fantasy with cyberpunk/neon-dystopia and paranormal elements. There is magic, action adventure, suspense, some mystery, drama, tension, chemistry, intrigue, danger, secrets, different realms….as well as a slew of mystical and mythical creatures. We are back with Rune Leveau at the Luck Devil Bar. We Met Rune in Book one when she had inherited the bar from her Aunt who had recently passed away. There is a lot more to Rune than meets the eye, even she isn’t fully aware of what she is capable of. She had traumatic past event that had forced her into changing her identity and keeping a low profile. But when a mysterious and sexy stranger turns up at the bar, her past catches up with her and her adventure begins. Saint Benedict is a corporate spy who is on the hunt for a programmer and some missing files. Little does he know that Rune has a much closer connection to the case than he could ever imagine. Circumstances throw these two together where they needed to work together to figure everything out, all the while trying to stay one step ahead of the sinister forces hell bent of getting their hands on the information first. This puts them in impossibly difficult and dangerous situations that will test them both- and put her life, and the fate of the Lucky Devil Bar, on the line. This story picks up two months after the events in book one. Rune is still coming to grips with everything that happened and hasn’t seen or heard from Saint Benedict since her revelation. But when assassins target her, Saint Benedict turns up and another new adventure begins- as they try stay out of the clutches of their evil foe, elude the assassins, and continue their search for the missing Masterson Files. Which results in some incredible, action paced reading. Ms. Mackie has delivered a rich, vibrant and vividly detailed story set in a cleverly constructed and interesting world. This is world building on a masterful level. The characters are truly brilliant- so well crafted and fully developed. There are a lot of characters to keep track of, but the story is so well written that I didn’t have any trouble keeping up. I loved how the characters grow and evolve as the story progresses. One of the better things to come out of the whole experience for Rune was that she ‘found’ herself and continues to discover new facets about herself and about her ‘abilities’. I couldn’t help but think how much of Tatiana’s story mirrored Runes. I love the chemistry between Rune and Saint Benedict, I really hope something comes from that. I have been guessing as to how their story will play out and I can’t wait to find out if I am right, or wrong. The only thing I felt was not as on point as the first book, and became a little confusing at times, was when one characters POV flowed right into another characters POV, without any lead in. But this minor issue didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment of the story. The story twists and turns, with lots of surprises and unexpected developments that had me on the edge of my seat in expectation. I really can’t wait to continue this story/series…. I sooooo hope there is a book three!!!!!!!! I can’t recommend this story and author highly enough. You really should read it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!!!
