The Werewolf Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 1)The Werewolf Queen by Brandi Elledge
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Werewolf Queen by Brandi Elledge is book one in the Wheel of Crowns series. I loved this book. It wasn’t like most supernatural books. I loved that this series is set in the southern part of the United States. She wrote the Southern draw perfectly. I read this book in less than 24 hours because I couldn’t put it down. It has 34 chapters so it’s definitely not a short book. I can’t wait to check out what else Brandi Elledge has written.

The Werewolf Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 1)The Werewolf Queen by Brandi Elledge
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I give The Werewolf Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 1) by Brandi Elledge, 4 stars.

Sadie is a high school senior living in a community of witches. The only thing is, she’s a null — no powers at all. Then all of the sudden strangers show up in her town and weird things start happening. People are suddenly out to get her, telling her how powerful she really is. Crazy things start happening, a man who claims he is a werewolf is so hot he’s to die for, and she learns things are not really as it seems. Can she trust this good looking man? Can she help them? Is she really this powerful? Seems like her senior year won’t be as boring as it seems.

This is a young adult novel only because of the age of the characters. But thankfully, it does not include any of those whiny teenagers that tend to plague some YA books. Being that I am far from being a young adult anymore, this is a blessing to me. The characters are fun, real, and great. I hope to see more of them in future books. The story itself is very interesting and pulls you right in. There are twists and turns that keeps you on the edge of your seat too.

Overall, I found this a very entertaining and exciting book to read and I highly recommend it.

The Werewolf Queen is the first book that I have read by this author and it was a fantastic read. I was completely captivated by the original storyline that she had created. The pace and flow of the story was excellent, it made the book easy to read and follow. The rich detail that the author used really made me feel connected with the story and the world that she had built for her characters.
I really liked the characters in the story, Sadie was great and I enjoyed reading about her. I was really rooting for her especially with everything that seemed to be against her.
I thought that this was a great start to the series and I am really looking forward to seeing how it develops!
Readers who enjoy paranormal stories would not be disappointed with this book and I highly recommend it.

5-Stars

The Werewolf Queen was such a fun action paced novel. I loved the various paranormal creatures it features. Sadie is the main female character and she has always believed she was born a dud when it comes to magic. This all changes on her 18th birthday and she is thrust into a whole new situation where she becomes a major player in a supernatural war. Camden is the hot hunk who steps in to find her and help train her in using her new powers. The two work hard together while fighting against feelings for each other. I loved their bickering and all of Sadie’s witty comments. This storyline for this novel was easy to follow and very exciting. I can’t wait to read more in this series.

The Werewolf Queen (Wheel of Crowns #1) by Brandi Elledge

5 out of 5 stars

The Werewolf Queen is the first boo in the Wheel of Crowns series written by Brandi Elledge and it’s the first book that I have read by this author. I loved this book it was amazing especially if you like to read supernatural stories. The characters are well written and the plot was amazing the secondary characters and their quirkiness made the story more enjoyable. I couldn’t even put the book down that’s how intrigued I was.

Sadi is a dud or so she thought until her 18th birthday she comes into her powers and she doesn’t know what is wrong with herself. And then throw in the werewolves, vampires, and demons all turn up to spoil her party, the weirdness really ramps up.

Now she has to leave the people she loves and cares about or they will be in danger so now she has to find somewhere safe. Now the king of the werewolves offer’s her somewhere to hide while she’s learning about her new powers. Now she not only has to worry about demons trying to kill her she has to worry about his psycho witch fiancée from finding new ways to try and kill her and she only escalates when she realizes the king is attractive to sadi.
With all of this she still has to find the key and learn how to use her powers. Can Sadi handle all this change? Can she win this war or is she in over her head? What will happen if and when she finds the key? You will need to read this great book to find out.
I highly recommend this book and as soon as im done writing this review I’m going to start The Queen of Witches…

The Werewolf Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 1)The Werewolf Queen by Brandi Elledge
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What an incredible start to what I can only imagine being an incredible suspenseful, fantasy, magical, romantic and sexy read.

I absolutely loved this read from start to finish, it was creative, engaging, thrilling and a story I thoroughly enjoyed. I loved the characters each of them held their own and their stories were told and I enjoyed following their journey in this read. Sadie was a brilliant sassy, feisty, independent woman who knows what she wants. CG was not what you expected as a king, but he made this story even better, I really enjoyed these two characters together.

This was a mentally, visual read that with the descriptive writing I could picture this read in my mind while reading it, I loved this take on the supernatural world and can’t wait to see where the rest of this series takes us. My only issue with this read is, I would have liked a bit more action, but other than that, I loved it!

I can’t wait to see what else is to come from this series, it’s fast-paced and captivating and highly recommend it. I’ll be eagerly awaiting Book 2! But until then do not miss this read.

The Werewolf Queen is the first book in what is shaping up to be my new favorite series. This book has everything I Iove, paranormal adventure with a lot of danger and just the right amount of softness. I don’t know which character I liked more, Sadie, Lil, or the others that I don’t want to spoil. I was instantly enthralled, so much so that I literally could not put it down. I think I read it in four or five hours and I instantly picked up the next one. I laughed, I bit my nails and all because I am so in love with this series that I honestly can’t stop reading them. This book will take you on a thrill ride like no other and all I can say is be prepared for a nonstop read-a-thon.

The Werewolf Queen (Wheel of Crowns#1)
By Brandi Elledge
Rated 5 stars

I have read some previous reviews and I don’t get it. For me this book ROCKED! I loved it all. I talked about it to all my friends. They were shocked that everything i told them happened in one book.

The characters (Even Sadie who is only 18 and i felt acted her age), the story and the humor were all a good fit. Let’s tackle the characters. CG is old (Immortal) and Sadie is barely out of her teenage years. CG has had many years to acclimate and be prepared. Sadie, who thought she was a DUD (meaning a no powers witch) , just came Into her powers and had never met any other creatures before other than witches.Sadie has heart along with her immaturity. She is trying to balance everything that has been heaped upon her in a short amount of time. She has crazy friends and family. That’s to be expected in any family. I loved all the different types of characters we met. From the sexy Vampire to the funny fairy to the lovely new large friend she acquires. Even the Evil characters held true to their form.

The story is different which is good. No cookie cutter stuff here. It’s also full of action for only a 250 page book. There is barely time for these characters to breathe. I literally devoured this book and I don’t really care for “witch” stories. Usually they are too “sneaky” for me. Witches that is. But I do love werewolf stories so I took a chance on this one. I was unprepared to how fast moving and smooth this story was. Were there glitches? Yes. But the more you read the better they are understood. (Again my reason not to like witches). The humor was cute and I felt added to the story. She is a teenager! Aren’t they all snarky? My only issue was the mating ceremony but this isn’t a cookie cutter story so it can be different.

I can really see the author setting up future books. Looks like there might be seven in our future. There is so much intertwining between characters and stories i would recommend starting with this one and going from there. I look forward to reading the next but can’t wait for the Stephens.

The Werewolf Queen by Brandi Elledge is the first book in the Wheel of Crowns series. Sadie is turning 18 and it isn’t the typical 18th birthday. There are werewolves, vampires, and witches. Not your average birthday at least for a mere mortal. This is a fun start to a series and really enjoyable to read. Sadie is smart, funny, and tough.
I enjoyed the story and the characters. There was a nice flow to the story and I was not sure where the story would ultimately go. I really look forward to reading more from this series in the near future.

This book had me completely intrigued from the synopsis alone and the story itself sucked me in. This is the first book I’ve read from this author and she has totally made it on my one-click list!

I love a good paranormal story. The storyline is something I’ve never read. I love original ideas and this one was perfection! Its one of those books that you have to physically slow down while reading it so you can prolong your enjoyment!

The story was action-packed, fast paced, romantic, and everything you would want in a book. There aren’t enough words to even give this book justice. I’m very excited to dive into book 2!

The Werewolf Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 1) by Brandi Elledge is a great supernatural paranormal fantasy story that kept me so engrossed and immersed in her carefully woven world. The story is so magical it had me on the edge of my seat through to the end. Brandi has very cleverly written something that completely throws you off track just when you think you have got it worked out. The suspense will keep you on alert and intrigued without letting go. This is a brilliant start to the series that is action packed with werewolves and witches, warlocks and vampires, psychics and demons and so much more. The story is thrilling and fast paced and also has romance and humour, I loved Granny, the best friend and the fairy who each had me howling in laughter.

Sadie comes from a long line of witches, but she has no powers. Whilst getting ready for her 18th birthday, everything changes and her life is turned upside down. It seems everyone either wants her or wants her dead.

This is one brilliant and masterful tale that will keep you on the edge of your seat and your heart rate pulsing. This has to be one of the best if not the best stories I have read this year and Brandi is now one of my favourite authors.

The Werewolf Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 1)The Werewolf Queen by Brandi Elledge
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This new age supernatural story flows from the very first page until the very last. It’s a story that has humor, self-actualization, great world building, The story has Witches, Mind Readers & Healers, demons, ghouls, vampires and were-creatures, a cute troll, cute boys and all that comes in between.

The story is well plotted and while some of the dialogue is a little (I hate to use the word annoying) teenage girl-ish hehe. The female protagonist is “different” than the others and must at a different pace because of it “all good things come in time”. She and her best friend are Yin & Yang and it is my hope that every teenage girl has a “Jo” in their life.

This is one of those books that I am clearly not the demographic for but I found it super enjoyable. It has humor (“She was like a case of gonorrhea. She kept flaring up when you least expected her”) and emotion and all around great things. This did not feel like a story that had a lot of words as filler. I could go on and on about this story but then I’d just be telling you the whole storyline and you wouldn’t have to read the enjoyable book for yourself. So I will just say:
It is a fast read that I was unable to put down until I was finished and I’m super glad that I have the next book in the series downloaded.

This was a solid 5 star read for me.

Wheel of Crowns is a three book series and The Werewolf Queen is the first book. Brandi Elledge is an amazing author who has a wild and vivid imagination. Her attention to detail is what keeps me wanting more. The characters are so real that I felt like I was best friends with them. Sadie is the main female character and I felt like I knew her like a BFF. Sadie thought she did not have paranormal powers like her friend do. Until she was eighteen and here comes her powers. What will Sadie do with her powers? Who is the Werewolf Queen and what does business does she have with Sadie?

Oh yeah this is going to be good. I really liked how this book went. I was actually hype at the end. Sadie has no magic in her and that makes her an outcast. I felt for her through the story because no one should be treated the way they treated her. But then you get to see all their mouths drop when Sadie turns out to be more than anyone thought. It sucks that she has to be powerful for people to accept her. I really like how the author set this story up and made the characters mesh well.

One of the best first book/series starters that I have recently read. Brandi Elledge is imaginative and has a remarkable creation of all the individual characters along with the story development. The Werewolf Queen (Wheel of Crowns #1) by Brandi Elledge was interesting, unique and original, it kept my attention and turning the pages.

Okay I’m going to be real with you, this book is different, good different from a plot stand point. It fresh and very intriguing. The wording building is detail and the authors paints a wonderful picture, making you feel connected and there. Now here were I’m going to have to get a little, not so nice…. The MC, was, a little annoying, and I didn’t like the trying to be funny all the time trope, it made for weird reading, the dialogue choppy, and it also was hard to get into a serious scene.

I love the different take on the supernatural world, I always love seeing how an author will reshape what has already been done, to create something new and wonderful. The journey was pretty neat, I love the key plot, and how it was used to grow our MC and her powers. As for the male love interest, CG, well, he was okay, but I felt like I read about him before. I wish his character had more depth, and wasn’t just a carbon copy of the typical alpha male. Like, he wasn’t bad, just.. meh.

Overall this story was fast moving, with an evolving plot and epic magical creatures. This book gets my high recommendation and my stamp of approval. I can’t wait to read the next book!

Happy Reading

This is the first book that I have read from this author and I loved it. There were vampires, witches, demons and werewolves. There were mind-readers, healers and psychics. There were hot sexy men and a kick ass female lead, what’s not to love?

Sadie grew up in a town full of witches. Everyone had powers except her. On her 18 th birthday, everything changed. She came into her powers and all of a sudden, demons are trying to kill her. She always wanted powers, now every supernatural wants her dead because of them. Flirting with the Vampire Prince and lusting after the Werewolf King and trying not to get killed by his psycho witch fiancée and the Demon King, Sadie is quite busy. All the while she needs to find some lost keys and save the world. Not too much to ask of a girl who’s trying to graduate high school, right? She makes some new friends and heads on a crazy adventure.

This is an original, action packed story filled with amazing characters, unlikely allies and a bit of romance. Some of their antics had me laughing out loud. I loved this book and can’t wait to read more about their adventures.

I absolutely love finding new book series and authors. I was not disappointed by this book. I really found the author’s writing style to be quite refreshing and entertaining. The characters just really seem to jump off the pages and come to life.

I found myself really drawn to Sadie. The way that fate plays a part in her life really just makes the reader rout for her. I was really drawn to the chemistry between her and CG. I also liked how the author threw in some twists in the beginning of their relationship as it starts out. The Werewolf Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 1)The Werewolf Queen by Brandi Elledge
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Werewolf Queen is the first spellbinding instalment in the Wheel of Crowns Series by Brandi Elledge. WOW!!! What an amazing story!!! I was completely riveted from the very first page, so completely absorbed by the story, that I lost all sense of time and place. The ‘real’ world ceased to exist as I fell deeper and deeper under Ms. Elledge’s spell. This is one of those books that deserves to be read- it’s so fascinating, engrossing, and entirely unforgettable. Ms. Elledge is a new-to-me author and now I am kicking myself that I hadn’t discovered her and her books before now- but now that I have she has earned a spot on my ‘must read’/favourite authors list. I have already started on the next book in the series, and pre-ordered Book #3 (due out 25th April).
The Werewolf Queen is an action-packed paranormal fantasy, with werewolves, witches, warlocks, psychics, soothsayers, vampires, fairies, demons, ogres, succubi, magic, the supernatural, blood oaths, visions, fate, missing keys, different planes/realms, bloody battles, intensity, drama, and so much more.
We meet Sadie Grey, who comes from a long line of witches, and lives in a town of witches, even attending a school for witches- but she feels like a dud, and a real failure, because her ‘powers’ have failed to manifest, yet. But all that changes on the night of her 18th birthday, when 3 strangers arrive in town- turning life as she knows it upside-down. She is swept up on a quest to retrieve some very important keys, with the fate of the world resting in her hands- while meeting many new friends, and enemies, along the way. What part will the gorgeous, complicated, brooding, and protective werewolf play in this incredible story- you really must read the book to find out- you really won’t be disappointed!!!
OMG! Where do I even begin to do this book the justice it deserves! It is so funny, emotive, exciting, fast-paced, intense, touching, romantic, and just plain incredible. The story is told from Sadie’s perspective, which I loved- but I really wanted to hear from Camden and would love to have had his perspective too. I love Sadie, she was a fantastic female lead- I was completely invested in her, Camden, and the outcome of the story. Sadie learns so much about herself, her family, her ‘powers’, and the world she thought she knew. I loved Granny- she is hilarious. Jo is such a great character, too- a perfect best friend for Sadie, and a wonderful addition to the story. I also loved Lil (Lilly-Ana)- she was a hoot. I wanted to adopt Kong and bring him home- I really felt for what he’d been through. But he really added an extra element of interest and imagination to the story. I can’t wait to read Jameson’s story, and Stephen’s story- but would also love to read Jo’s story, as well as Austin’s- hint, hint Ms. Elledge.
Ms. Elledge is a gifted storyteller and excels at complex, vividly detailed world building- bringing the whole story to life, making it entirely realistic and believable. Truly masterful!
Without a doubt, one of my favourite reads of the year!!

Bravo, and thank you Ms. Elledge!

The story The Werewolf Queen (Wheel of Crowns Book 1) by Brandi Elledge is a wonderful fantasy book that I loved reading. It is a story that pulls you in from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go until you have read the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Sadie and Jo. Sadie is a young girl who doesn’t have supernatural powers. She stands out from those in the town she lives in. Then things begin to change on her 18th birthday. Jo is Sadie’s BFF. I love the interactions and bantering that goes on between the two. Sadie is a psychic. Does she know something about Sadie that she is not saying? Things really kick into high gear when Sadie has to leave her best friend, family, and town. She is learning about her new powers and needs protection. What does the future hold for Sadie? Read this book to find out. This story has action, adventure, danger, and a bit of romance. It is a book that at times had me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. I love books that include the supernatural and this is a wonderful example of why. The story keeps your interest all the way through. There are other additional characters that I enjoyed reading about. They each have their own part to play and many of them are a help to Sadie. Then there are those with their own agenda and plans. Will they be stopped? This is a book that you don’t want to miss out on reading. Highly recommended.

I always wished I had supernatural powers. Now I wish I didn’t.

Sadie’s a dud, a failure–the only one in high school who doesn’t have any kind of supernatural powers. Her psychic bff, Jo, knows something about Sadie’s future, but just won’t tell. And what the heck is going on when one of her teachers starts looking at her while he’s going on about powerful lost keys, portals of madness, and destinies?

Then it all starts.

On her 18th birthday, Sadie starts to feel weird. And when werewolves, vampires, and demons all turn up to spoil her party, the weirdness really ramps up.

Leaving her best friend, her family, and the only town she’s ever known, Sadie must find safety. But while the king of the werewolves can offer her somewhere to hide while she’s learning about her new powers, he can’t stop his psycho witch fiancée from finding new ways to try and kill her. Of course, the murderous tendencies of this psycho witch only get worse when she realises the Werewolf King is, um… attracted to Sadie.

And all that’s before Sadie sets off to try and find one of the lost keys. Before she visits hell. Before she picks up a pet ogre.

And before she realizes just how powerful she can become.

But if it really is her destiny to collect one of the lost keys, will she be able control her newfound power and help save the world and all the people in it she loves? Or will she buckle under the pressure?

She’s about to find out. A mansion surrounded by demons and full of vampires and witches intent on her destruction awaits. Oh, and that psycho-witch fiancée of the Werewolf King. What could possibly go wrong?
