Callum is one of the Titans of Chicago and he has spent the last few weeks in Marbella Costa Rica savoring the beauty before going back to work as a second year professor. While there he meets Nicole at a retreat and they have fun the last few days in Costa Rica thinking they will never see each other again. Nicole turns out to be a Titan in California but has decided to move to Chicago to finish out college and then hopefully take over a managers position at one of her uncle’s properties. She feels Chicago will be better for her as it’s a fresh start and no one knows who she is. However she is worried about her mother due to her illness and she’s gradually getting worse. Will the two run into each other at the college, will things become more between them?
I absolutely loved this book! I think Cal might be my favorite MMC that Anise has written this far. Her books never seem to miss! These books are stand alone books, and not required to read in a series, however I do recommend reading all of them since they tie together. They also tie together with the Titan of Manhattan series! Can’t wait for book three!!
The author delivers again! This has all you come to expect from this author and this series: ALL the steam, some suspense, and great characters. I couldn’t put this one down and read it it nearly one sitting. This is an engaging story that follows Nicole and Callum. Callum a Titan and Nicole the daughter and sister of a Titan (ahem not to mention the student of Callum) find themselves in the middle of a forbidden romance—but with danger lurking around the corner can Nicole trust in Callum?

Callum is one of the Chicago Titans, he is one of the elite of the elite and gets what he wants when he wants it.
Nicole is the sister, daughter and niece of Titans from LA and NYC, she knows exactly what to expect from the Titans. Even being aware she wasn’t ready for Callum and her feelings.
Callum and Nicole’s story lacked nothing. From the moment they met while on vacation the sparks fly, and had an incredibly hot night with no inhibitions since it was a vacation fling. But after running into one another in the one place neither of them expected they would have to fight their attraction.
Each of these books is a standalone, but I find books like this you need to know the history and other characters and I think it gives you a better understanding of everyone and their personalities.
I have been obsessed with the Titans since I read met the guys in New York and hope the mention of the LA Titans means there will be another spinoff series.

I loved the first book in this series, so there was no doubt in my mind that I would be snagging a copy of this as soon as it came out! This is the second book in the Titans of Chicago series and what an incredible installment it is. This author has quickly become one of my favorites for their ability to craft such a captivating story from the very beginning. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to find a stopping point anywhere, so I turned my phone on silent, found a comfy spot, and dove right in. This author creates such well-developed characters that you feel completely invested in from the get-go. Nicole and Callum are impossible to not root for! Their chemistry melts off the pages and the Costa Rica getaway was absolutely perfect. Callum may be a Titan, but will he get what he truly wants this time? If you love a steamy forbidden romance with electric chemistry, an engaging plot, and high-stakes drama, this will be the perfect book for you! I am ecstatic to see what is next for this series.

I was excited to read book number two in the Titans of Chicago after reading book one. Forbiddingly Yours was dual POV, which will always be my favorite, I think it makes the story flow smoothly and feel fully fleshed out. The relationship between the characters was spicy and sizzling at first until Nicole shows up to a class that Callum is teaching and he totally freaks out although Nicole convinces him they can keep it on the DL. Callum is also a billionaire. We have a good mash up of tropes in this novel. I love Anise Storms writing and her books are always winners.

This is the second book in the Titans of Chicago series. I loved the Titans of Manhatten series so couldn’t wait to jump into this new one. And it didn’t disappoint. This is a romantic suspense read with a hidden secret relationship element, miscommunication, angst, drama and plenty of chemistry that make these reads captivating. In this story we meet Callum and Nicole. After sharing a passionate holiday fling both of them leave Costa Rica thinking they will never see each other again. So imagine how awkward they feel when Nicola goes back to collage and discovers that Callum is her teacher. Even though then decide to keep the student/teacher relationship professional they can’t deny the chemistry and eventually start dating in secret. Or so they thought.
Little do they realise that someone knows their secret and that person will stop at nothing to break them apart so they can have Nicole for themselves. Callum is a Titan and he always gets what he wants but will this time be the only time he can’t. With all the money and power behind him it could still not be enough to stop the person hell bent on destroying him and everything he has.
This was a great read and I can’t wait to read more

Anise will pull on all your heart strings with this one, so have some tissues handy you might need them. Nicole Courtland is trying to make her own mark in their world, and not be in the shadows of her family. Nicole hopes that moving from LA to Chicago to finish her degree could help with getting in the door with the Courtland Hospitality Group. Leaving her parents, especially her mother behind while she battles her illness, was not an easy choice. But it is not as bad as it seems until Nicole walks into her Senior Lit class. None other than Callum Meyers, the person she meet in Costa Rica and thought she would never meet again, is standing in front of her. Who would have thought Callum would turn out to be her Senior Lit Professor! Now Nicole must decide if she should just pretend she doesn’t know Callum or any of the wicked things her mind will not let her forget about him.

Anise Storm does it again. Another wonderful and complex story to bite my teeth into. This book did have some sensitive topics as the subplot in regards to cancer. It tore at my heart but was done in a beautiful manner.
The relationship between Callum and Nicole was very in depth and had you cheering for them. A few twists kept me reading late into the night. Love this second book in the series. Can be read as a standalone.

Nicole is from the elite world of the Titans, having to act the certain way and has to be perfect in everyway. When she decides to go on holiday in Costa Rica and let her hair down she is in for one big treat. Seeing him, ending up in bed with him for one night was the best hurrah before going back to school, but when walking into the new semester I got more than I was bargaining for.
Callum was up for a fling on holiday with a hot girl and its fun until he goes back to teaching but he just can’t seem to shake her from his system. First day back in class and who walks in his dream girl from holiday but she is his student. They try and keep the chemistry at bay and act professional but that starts to waver as he is a Titan and he gets what he wants, but when someone threatens him and Nicole, can money and power really help?
This is the second book in this series and it is explosive off the page. The characters as in the first book are well developed, with a fast paced story to boot.
I loved the character of Nicole as although she is privileged in a way she was full of sass and determination of her own to succeed and knew what she wanted. Callum’s character was the typical alpha male role you find but this also showed a vulnerability to him in the story that money and power means nothing if you love and care for someone.
This is full of twists and turns and surprises which will have you chasing down the leads and turning the pages to see how this will end. Although part of the series it can easily be read as a stand alone book but I do recommend reading more books by this wonderful author.
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

5 Stars Forbiddenly Yours (Titans of Chicago Series) by Anise Storm
Forbiddenly Yours is the second book in the Titans of Chicago Series and is a wonderfully written Contemporary Romance that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you’ve finished. I pretty much devoured this book in one afternoon sitting because I simply had to know what was going to happen next. I highly recommend reading the first book in this series if you haven’t already as it’s just as good as this one plus you get to know the characters better. This is Callum and Nicole’s story . What happens when your one night stand turns out to be your professor? The chemistry between them is electric and off the charts. In fear of giving something away I’m just going to highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

If you know anything about this series, you know that these are high drama, high steam, anxiety-filled stories of love and lust. This one is no different.
These ‘Titans’ are powerful, influential men of business. Maybe they have gotten that way by working hard and establishing themselves as men to be revered in their field that have built something out of nothing over time. Maybe they are the sons or grandson of these powerful men that have grown up knowing what is expected of them. This is Callum Meyers’ story. He is a legacy Titan, growing up knowing that he was watched and things were expected of him.
Callum didn’t want to pursue business, so he turned to education. He was the youngest professor in UChicago’s history. As Callum prepared for the upcoming semester, he vacationed at the family home in Costa Rica. On a whim and with a friend, Callum went to a retreat where you were supposed to be able to do some soul-searching. While there, Callum met a beautiful woman. After the retreat, he invited her to a party at his house.
Nicole usually did everything that was expected of her. But this one time, she wanted to do something different, something unexpected. Nicole went to the soul-searching retreat. Nicole accepted the invitation from the strange man to his party. When she got there, Nicole was entranced by Callum. They talked. He overwhelmed her senses. They had an ONS that would keep Nicole warm with vivid memories for years to come.
When Nicole’s parents decided that it was time for her to go to Chicago to study for her senior year of college, Nicole was delighted. She had only been asking for several years. Nicole found out that her parents finally gave in so that she would be far away during her mother’s cancer treatments. She almost decided not to go. When she started class, her first class on the first day, the professor just happened to be the man she had the ONS with in Costa Rica. OMG!!!
Nicole and Callum acknowledge that any relationship is forbidden and unethical, as she is now his student. They stay away from each other, except the verbal sparring in class, for weeks. Until the chemistry becomes too much and explodes all over his office in a heated exchange. Nicole and Callum keep their relationship secret for months until the pressure from that and Nicole’s mother’s declining health become too much for Nicole. She walks away from Callum.
Nicole had developed a friendship with a fellow student, Travis. I have to say that I didn’t like Travis from the beginning. I always thought he was suss, the way he just popped up. Naw, don’t trust him. Travis was there for Nicole in the aftermath of her relationship. I can’t say much more without saying too much. Ugh. Don’t grow attached to Travis. He so shady.
Minus some repetitive explanations, this book is amazing. The spice. The drama. The emotions. I am not sure I will forgive the author for that big emotion. I was not expecting it. I was not ready. A stellar addition to the Titans series. If you haven’t started reading about the Titans, you should. Start here. Start now.

Forbiddenly Yours Is the second book of the Titans of Chicago Series. After reading the first one I wanted to jump into the next story. The Professor/Student relationship was chefs kiss. It’s a trope I would like to read more about lol. This has to be my favorite one so far but we’ll see. Callum and Nicole were great characters with some great deployment throughout the story, each with their own set of flaws and personal struggles that make them relatable. The plot moves swiftly, with enough twists and turns to you well engaged. The author excels in creating an emotional connection between the characters and builds such an amazing world that you wish to be a part of. For anyone who enjoys romance with a bit of tension, passion and drama, I suggest you read not only this one but also the first one. You will not regret it, I’m the least. I can’t wait for part 3. P.S. They really need to do something about the laws on stalking because waiting til it escalates sometimes to the point of no return is ridiculous and needs to be fixed.

This is the second book in the Titans of Chicago series. I haven’t read the first book and I think this book could be a stand-alone. It wasn’t confusing at all. The book is a dual POV with Callum, a professor, and Nicole, his student.
They met on vacation in Costa Rica, and we’re instantly drawn to each other, not knowing who the other one was, Callum a Titan of Chicago and a professor and Nicole, the daughter of a Titan of Los Angeles. After a one-night stand, Nicole flew home to Los Angeles before they could say goodbye to each other. She then moves to Chicago to finish her degree and unknowingly chooses one of Callum’s classes. First day of school they meet again and try to avoid the lingering feelings they both feel.
I enjoyed reading this book. It has forbidden love, sex, drama and danger with an unexpected twist I didn’t see coming. I liked both the characters and I liked the relationship they develop along the way. I can’t wait to read the other books in this series and the other books by Anise Storm.

Forbiddenly Yours was right in line with everything I’ve read from this author. The characters are able to draw you in from the very start and keep you hoping for them. The twists will surprise you for sure. There were several points in the second half of the book where a bit more editing could have been done. But other than that, very enjoyable.

Oh my. This one gets into the heat quick and then builds. I have read several of Anise Storm’s books and I will always choose her work as a go to. While the first book in this series was friends to lovers, this one was a one-night stand, turned student professor forbidden love. Dual perspective of Callum and Nicole. Callum is a thirty-year-old Titan of Chicago. A summer vacation to Costa Rica before he began his second year, first full year, teaching at the University of Chicago he attends an ayahuasca ceremony. His goal to learn more about himself. Nicole is a twenty-one-year-old senior in college. Breaking family tradition, she transfers from Stanford to the University of Chicago for her senior year and to intern at her uncle’s company which is in her field of study. She is the belle of a Titan and the niece of one. While finishing up her vacation in Costa Rica before her senior year she attends an ayahuasca ceremony to find out who she is. The moment they meet they are drawn to each other and a single night of desire follows them back to the states. Only fast forward, first day of classes and he is her Senior Lit professor, and she is his student. They both are flooded with memories and wants that no longer can be possible. But he’s not the only one watching and wanting Nicole. Who wants to take Nicole from him? Will they succeed in taking down a Titan? What will come of the other man/student in Nicoles orbit? Everything about this series makes you want more. Makes you hold your breath with each new chapter and turn of the page as the story unfolds. I cannot wait to see what Titan’s story we will get next. Book three, Dangerously Yours, February 18th, 2025. I’ll see you there.

Forbiddenly Yours (Titans of Chicago Series) by Anise Storm – Review by Jessica Stone
So this is the second book in the Titans of Chicago series by Anise Storm and like the first book in the series this one did not disappoint! While it think with any series it is important for world and character building to read the previous books in the series, I believe that you could read this as a standalone if you’d like. Im sure by the end of this book you’d be going back to read the first anyways.
This book is about Nicole, whose father and brother are titans. And our MMC is Callum, a titan through and through. Nicole born in raised in a family with a imagine to uphold, she’s the nice girl, who does everything right and before she goes to college due to some cajoling from her mother, she takes a trip to Costa Rica with some friends and takes a chance one evening, letting go and just being herself and that’s where she meets callum.
Callum is a titan and a college professor, who has a chance meeting with Nicole one evening where he invites her back to his villa to party, one thing leads to another and Nicole and Callum hit it off with no expectation and thinking after that night they would never see each other again. The last thing Callum expected was to see the girl from the mind blowing one night stand as a student in the lit class he teaches.
The chemistry between these two is FIRE, red hot, grab a glass of water, fan my face worthy. I couldn’t ask for a better set of main characters, while I wasn’t the biggest fan of Callum at first, that changed the more I read and got to know the character and his story.
I’m a pretty big fan of a will they/will they not, the angst and I can never get enough of a jealous man who’s fighting his attraction but ends up giving in. So this basically fed all of my book needs. I am pretty excited to see what this author puts out next as far as the titans books go, I’ve been more than satisfied with books one and two so I’m oh so impatiently waiting for book 3.

I read Deceptively Yours and loved it, so you know I had to read Forbiddenly Yours! This book has such good tropes: TeacherxStudent, secret relationship, forbidden love, and the spice *muah!* Chefs kiss! When I say this book is spicy… it is spicy!!! There is no waiting for it either, which is the best part!
Nicole- Father, uncle, and brother are all Titans and know about the world. She has a hot and steamy one-night stand with Callum in Costa Rica thinking she wouldn’t see the person again. When she enters her English lit class the teacher just so happens to be Mr. One Night Stand and the mind f*cking starts, pun intended! She pushes his button in many ways from being argumentative to making him jealous by getting too close to a classmate.
Callum- Titan who is in his second year as a teacher at the college Nicole transfers to. At first he tries to push his thoughts about Nicole away, even telling her it can’t happen again and demanding she drops his class, but that ends up going all down the drain. Even though he knows he can’t publicly claim her, he doesn’t want anyone else to either.
This was such a great read that I couldn’t put the book down! I can’t wait until the next book in the series comes out!!!

Oh I love me some Titans! Anise never disappoints. This book is steamy along with lots of action. Callum is a Titan and a Professor and falls for Nicole until he realizes she is not only his student but also a Titans daughter. Which means she is off limits.

Anise Storm has done it again with this second book in the Titans of Chicago series! Not only does she bring the heat of romance, but she also has intrigue and suspense to accompany the plot. I love that she takes the time to develop the characters into such realistic, well-rounded people and puts them into situations that could happen in reality. The descriptions of college life on campus, and the interactions between fellow college students and the teachers are spot on. This book will grab your attention the moment the two main characters meet on a vacation retreat. I love that this series doesn’t just focus on the lead male roles of the Titans, but it showcases how strong the women are in the family as well. This book has so many crazy surprises that will have you gritting your teeth as you progress through the story. Read on to find out if Callum and Nicole can make their student/teacher romance work or if they are doomed to fail right from the start. Happy reading everyone, until next time my friends! I’m on the hunt to find my next great read! @Brandy Rymer 09/2024

Book two in the Titans of Chicago, Forbiddenly Yours, by Anise Storm simply is FIRE! Nicole and Callum simply light this whole book on fire. Nicole always the perfect everything, always had an image to uphold and when away on vacation in Costa Rica, she had a fling, A one night stand. She needed that right before she started school and then she walks into her class and her professor is the one, the one-night stand. They know that they are off limits to each other but they both feel that flame, that pull. This leads to many stolen moments together. When the one who is obsessed with Nicole tries to ruin Callum’s career, things get messy fast. This is another must read by Anise Storm who never disappoints with great world building, passion, characters you grow to love, and a story line that leaves you wanting more and more. This book for me truly had it all and wished I could read more about them. I truly like when characters and the book leave me wanting more, The Titan Series truly will do that to any reader !

Forbiddenly Yours is the 2nd book in the serious and was a such a great, hot read. Nicole is on vacation and decides to act alittle out of character for her. Callum is also on vacation. And they end up meeting and having a deliciously hot night together expecting to never see eachother again especially since they live nowhere near eachother. When Nicole moves to Chicago to attend school, everyone is surprised to see her new English professor is the hot guy she spent the night with in Costa Rica. Neither can forget the night they shared. Callum is a Titan and he always gets what he wants. He wants Nicole!! He doesn’t realize Nicole’s father and Uncle are also Titans and will never allow him near her. Callum and Nicole start to see eachother in private but, it’s not so private when her stalker finds out and uses the information to his advantage. Callum is set up and made out to be her stalker. Will Nicole finally realize that Callum is the good guy in her life and he would never willingly hurt her? This was a steamy book with the student / teacher storyline. All books by this author have been amazing and this is no different.

This book in a nutshell is…..What starts out as a one night stand while on holiday soon becomes so much more! Callum may be a Titan and use to getting what he wants but someone is out to destroy him so will he really get the one thing her truly wants…Nicole!!! I absolutely LOVE this author and this series is yet another creation from this absolutely AMAZING author that will captivate you right from the very start! The characters and storylines are always so well crafted you will be drawn in and feel everything right along with them. Start from the beginning for the series because you won’t want to miss a single thing. I also highly recommend Ms Storms Titans of Manhattan series.

While on vacation Nicole meets Callum while on vacation, they spend a few steamy days and nights together believing they will never see each other again. Callum is shocked when Nicole shows up in his class where he teaches, he wants her to withdraw from class but Nicole is insistent that they can maintain a professor/teacher professionalism. It isn’t long before the spark between them ignites but it is a secret to everyone else they know. Someone knows though and they are intent to make sure they break apart but who is behind it and what do they really want?
Sizzling chemistry, really liked this one. Callum is a bit selfish I thought, but he is a Titan and used to having what he wanted and not really having to veer off of what he wants to do. Really liked Nicole and was loving how she pushed back on Callum. Every book I have read by this talented author has been remarkable, can’t wait for more.

Nicole has always been a good girl. Being the daughter of a Titan she has an image to uphold. While in Costa Rica she decides to let loose and be rebellious before school starts. She meets Callum and they have an incredible night together, never thinking they would see each other again. When she walks into class on the first day she finds that her one night stand is her new professor. Callum himself is a Titan and he always gets what he wants. He wants Nicole and he will stop at nothing to have her. However there is someone else that has his eye on Nicole and that could ruin everything. I have enjoyed both books in this series so far. You don’t need to read these in order but it does help in getting to know characters that were in the first book and those that may be in future stories. If you enjoyed this book and haven’t checked out her other series, Titans of New York, I highly suggest checking them out.

Forbiddingly Yours is the second book in the Titans of Chicago series by Anise Storm. I have read all the Titans of New York series by this author so when I saw this book I thought I would give it a go. I have not read book 1 yet (I will) but you do not need to read the other books in the series to enjoy this one. The story starts with a chance meeting between Callum and Nicole, after the brief time they spend together neither expect to see each other again. When Nicole turns up in Callum’s classroom on the first day of term, they are both surprised. They try to keep away from one another as Callum is Nicole’s professor, but they are drawn together. I really liked this book, as with the others in the series they protagonists love is not straight forward and is disrupted by outside forces, but it was a very steamy and gripping story. It moved at a good pace, and I liked the characters, looking forward to reading more about Callum’s fellow Titans in the next book.

I only recently read the first book in this series so I was excited to get my hands on this one so soon. This book is a brilliant addition to the series and I think has to be my favourite so far – although it is early days! I loved the connection between the main characters. Their relationship is completely forbidden and yet the pull between them was so strong. The storyline was just as intense. It felt like they had such a tumultuous journey and it had me hooked from start to finish. I have loved everything I have read by this author and this book is no exception. This is a brilliant book and I cannot wait for more.

Though this is book 2 you could read this as a standalone. But I would recommend reading book 1 first so you can get the character background.
Nicole and Callum have a chance meeting in Costa Rica and have a hot and steamy one night stand. Thinking their paths would never cross again. Though each of them couldn’t get the other off their minds.
Summer break is over and back to school/work they both go. Shocker that the first day of Callum’s new job is the first day of Nicole’s Senior Year at UChicago, where Callum is a professor. Both shocked on first day of class discovering that he is her professor.
They finally give into their desires and even trying to keep it secret. All while Nicole’s classmate Travis is doing everything to make Callum jealous! Will them keeping things secret workout? Will they end up losing it all and being found out? Will Travis win Nicole over?
Read on to find out… you won’t be able to put it down once you start!

Anise Storm does it again! I love this series and cannot wait to finish the rest. This one has a professor/student relationship trope and is very steamy. After having a one-night stand while on vacation, Nicole’s whole world is turned on its axis after realizing that this man is her new English professor. We witness many ups and downs between them and a mind blowing plot twist that will shake you to your core. My only reason for not giving this story five stars is the lack of character development. I could not completely connect to them, their situation, and the storyline in this regard, and their conversations just do not seem realistic.
