I dove headfirst into this series mainly because of the gorgeous cover. I definitely became even more excited after realizing who the author was as I have enjoyed all of the books I’ve read by her. I always appreciate maps in the beginning of books as well. It lets me envision the story a little bit better. Tricia Copeland does a wonderful job with scenery and world-building with this beautiful fae story. I felt it took me just a bit to fall into the groove of the story in the beginning, but once I was hooked, I couldn’t put it down! There is raw emotion, magic, and adventure woven throughout. Fans of fantasy mixed with action rejoice because this one is for you!

Titania is such a strong female lead. Already from the beginning, she is determined to defend her land and people at whatever cost. At the traumatic loss of her brothers, she tries to prove to her father that she is more than capable and ready. After a sudden attack, it is time to take her place as Queen. Although she was very determined at first to lead and defend her people, this 15 year old struggles with leadership and is distracted by what most teenage girls deal with…boys! Copeland introduces other magical elements as well as the distinction of Middle Earth. This was such a great read and I’m looking forward to the next two.

To be a Fae Queen is Book One in the Realm Chronicles series. We are introduced to fifteen-year-old Titania, a faerie princess who is preparing to be Queen. Although she has been training for years, she is feeling unprepared for the role at such a young age and is undecided if she is ready for the role of Queen. Her family is broken and still grieving from the loss of her four brothers which has left her mom in a catatonic state. Her brothers lost their lives in battle with the Kobold which left Titania as the last of her line. Titania must be brave and prepare for her role as Queen even if she does not feel ready. As she does so she must decide who she can trust as she is met with resistance from forces both inside and outside of the castle walls.
This was the first book that I have read by this author, but it will not be the last. I loved the author’s writing style and was completely immersed in the story through the author’s vivid descriptions. The characters were captivating, and easily relatable. My heart went out to Titania’s mom as she grieved for the loss of her sons. It was truly heartbreaking to think about the immense grief and sadness over such a tragedy. I especially liked the character of fifteen-year-old Titania, who did not let her young age stop her from preparing for her role as Queen. Through her sadness, grief, loss, and fear she musters up the strength and courage to do what is best for her kingdom even though it means putting it before her own needs. We see her grow as a character, gaining years of wisdom in a short time. Through the obstacles she overcomes we can see that Titania is strong, smart, determined, and feisty. This book has action, suspense, mystery, magic, faeries, and drama in the age-old battle of good versus evil. Now onto book two.

Titania is crowned Queen by her father at a young age, and there is fae that do not believe she is fit to rule Aubren. Competing in challenges, she proves she deserves to lead her people. Not only does she have the role of a Queen, but she is a teenager dealing with the loss of her brothers, falling for a boy. There is a lot of world-building, and at times, it was slow for me, but I recommend sticking with it because this story is excellent.

A young headstrong Princess, dealing with the loss of her brothers, her mother not speaking since their deaths, anxiety, and an over protective father, finds herself suddenly the Fae Queen! She quickly learns she can not always trust those she once thought she could. She fights to keep her crown while dealing with several issues threatening her kingdom. I felt connected to Titania from the beginning as I also deal with anxiety. How she was able to push her anxiety away while making new friends, meeting new fae and struggling to keep her kingdom safe was impressive. I can’t wait to read more about her and all the other characters. Highly recommended!

To Be A Fae Queen caught my attention from the very beginning and kept it to the end. Titania is still a girl and has to fight for her right to be Queen of her people. Titania is strong and smart but has to prove she is the best choice. The author did a great job bringing each character to life for me. I am excited to see what happens in the next book.

I actually started off by reading the second book in this series, and am SO glad I went back to read the first. I won’t share any spoilers of course…Titania is what everyone hopes for in a strong female role. She is relatable, real, and steadfast. I love how as this story is developed, you can clearly see her growth through the struggles that she encounters, in the face of complicated situations.
If you enjoy YA fantasies this is definitely a must read. Fae, Middle Earth, family ties, difficult choices, a realm in need of a heroic young princess. What more could you ask for in a fantastical journey to Middle Earth?

To Be a Fae Queen amazed me! There were so many different elements in the book that it was slightly overwhelming at first. But, once the different elements began to intertwine, it all made sense and I could not put this book down. Tricia Copeland delivers superb characters and an interesting storyline. Copeland also creates a magical world of Middle Earth, the land between Upper and Lower Earth, where the Fae reside. To Be a Fae Queen is magical, fantastical, but also believable and relatable in a way. I felt drawn to the world of the Fae and their duty to protect the dwellers of Upper Earth, the humans. The Fae must also protect their own realm and kingdoms, which creates problems for the newly appointed Queen Titania. I am greatly looking forward to the next book in The Realm Series!

Talk about having to grow up quick, this book delivered a heroine that will surprise you with her maturity and wisdom. After her three brothers die, Titania is next in line to take the throne. At the age of fifteen, Titania has to make decisions with her kingdom in mind. The world created by the author is beautiful, full, and dangerous. I thought the character development was in depth with the characters facing adversity and having issues within as well. If you love fantasy worlds, this is your book!

I’ve only recently enjoyed books involving Fae, so I took a risk jumping into this story. It was good, I felt some parts were a little slow but that hasn’t deterred me from wanting to read book 2! To Be a Fae Queen, introduces us to Princess Titania, a stubborn and elusive Fae who will do anything to help the Fae of Aubren, as well as those in other realms. Begging her father, the king, to allow her to help out in the battle against the kobold Titania is restricted to their home. Titania comes up with a plan to go searching for the kobold herself with the assistance of Foster who has been enlisted to protect her. Coming out victorious her father graciously hands over his crown making her queen. Though in the same evening her integrity was brought into question and to be challenged to prove she’s worthy of her birth right. Does she succeed in the challenge? What about Foster, where does he fit into everything? Did they really defeat the kobold? Those 3 questions and more will come to fruition and be answered if you give this Fae novel a chance! If you’re like me and are on the fence when it come to Fae novels, then let me tell you, you’re missing out if you don’t give this book a chance!

This is my first read by this Author and it most definitely will not be my last!! The Author has an exceptional talent with fantastic world building and amazing visualization; the Author makes you feel like you’ve known Titania, her royal family and their kingdom your whole life, feeling every bit of anger and frustration with them.
The kingdom and royal family remain broken from the past tragedy that took the lives of many. All characters in this book are well developed and engaging, everyone is vital to our lead characters’ development, as well as to her past.
We are given an amazingly fearless heroine lead, Titania, who is smart, fierce and strong enough to be able to put her kingdom before herself at the young age of 15. Although she is young, she is very relatable as we follow her journey of continuous obstacles and difficulties. She remains heartwarmingly humble, even as those known to her kingdom, turn against her rule.
I highly recommend reading this book, not only does it have beauuutiful artwork, it has an excellent storyline and the Author shows great attention to detail and to the background information that is helpful if you are new to the Fae genre.
The Author has created a captivating and interesting world of realms, I was drawn in and hooked by the end of the first chapters! I love that we are given maps of the kingdoms with an idea of where they are, in comparison to our current world.
This is a coming of age novel that contains a thrilling adventure of good vs evil, drama, loss and deceit,as well as family, friendships and love.
I will be ordering a copy of this book to have on the shelf for when my children are old enough to enjoy it! Add this to the list of strong character leads who are relatable even if they are in a different realm.
I am looking forward to reading the next instalment in the Realm Chronicles!

The start of this book does start a little slow but at the same time does have some action scenes to move it along. Titania has experienced a lot of loss in her life. First her all of her brothers, and then other family members, and then the loss of her mother, even though she is still alive, she’s not the same as she was before. Titania does a lot of growing up in this book. At first she starts out as an angsty teen who cant leave her room without counting her crystals, but then she grows past that and learns that she can cope without having that safety blanket. With betrayals and more things happening around her instead of breaking her, it makes her into a great queen at just the young age of 15. This coming of age book is a wonderful first installment and makes me excited for the next book!

This is quite the ride! The story seems tedious at times with all the details. But it really draws the reader in. The characters are plentiful but I do have some favorites. I love Tatiana’s fiery spirit. She is young but really coming into her own as the story unfolds. She is a risk taker which can be good or bad. I am hoping she will continue to grow and become wiser.
While I enjoyed this story it did seem overlong. I enjoyed learning about Tatiana’s friendships but I can really see the youth in her at times. I look forward to the next.

I have recently found a love of mythical/magical stories and so when I came across this one with the amazing cover art I knew I had to give it a try. This is a beautiful coming of age story of a fae princess named titania.
The book starts off right in the action with finding out the fae kingdom is under attack and King Oberon dismissing Titania to keep her safe as she is his only surviving child after losing his sons in the war. Eager to prove herself, Titania takes some carefully calculated risks and ends up securing a little bit of peace from their current enemy. After having proven herself King Oberon decides to give up his reign to Titania even though she is only 15 making her not only the only female ruler but also the youngest. However, her reign might be short lived as it is being challenged by those that have served her family for generations. Titania must overcome many challenges and stereotypes during her reign. Is she the best ruler for her kingdom or should she find another to take her place? What about this mystical power that her mother and Titania possess and what does it have to do with her family?
This is such a detailed storyline and possesses amazing descriptive scenes that make you feel as if you are right there in the book with Titania as she chooses the path not only best for her family but also for her fae kingdom. For thoses like myself, who have daughters, this book struck a chord and added a level of emotion as I can picture the things my girls may have to overcome simply for being female. It is amazing to see such a well written female led book that I am so excited to read the second book in this series and find out what is next for Titania.

I adored this book. I do not know anyone that has ever asked for a longer book before, but I would have loved to have seen more details. There were plenty to establish characters and world-building, but I craved to read and understand both the characters and the realm better. I feel like I read this in a matter of hours and I would give anything to read more.
I admire Titania’s strength and ability to face confrontation. She does not sway in the slightest when it comes to finding out information and has no issue telling someone off if they get in her way. The author left a huge cliff hanger in her epilogue, so I cannot wait to get my hands on the second novel!

Great fantasy novel. I was a little nervous going into this book, I’ve read all kind of fae things here lately from acotar, the savage and the swan, the secerets of shadow and blood , etc. This book exceeded my expectations though! The author has great world building and character development! Which I find to be a little rare with some newer books. This is a great coming of age book and was such a fun read . To Be A Fae Queen (Realm Chronicles Book 1) By Tricia Copeland – Review by Jeannie Anderson
I completely LOVED To Be A Fae Queen from page one. Princess Titania is only fifteen but a worthy successor of the crown. She’s very smart, compassionate and extremely skilled with archery. She literally cannot miss a shot no matter the distance. All of the characters are richly written, especially Titania. She faces many challenges and many hard decisions and faces each one with courage, grace and wisdom. Titania isn’t perfect and has a beautiful hero’s journey.
The world Titania lives in is beautiful but can be scary with the evil creatures plaguing their land. Amazing story by Tricia Copeland. I cannot wait to read more about Titania.

This book was absolutely amazing! I seriously can’t wait how this series is to continue. There was so much adventure, love, loss, drama, family, and friendships. Titania is an amazing Fae! She has the spunk to be herself and seriously puts you in for a good ride of a book! She has lost her brothers, and with all the war and mysteries ahead of her, she has so much to accomplish as much as still a whole life ahead of her to enjoy. It was a long book but so worth it!

This book starts off and IMMEDIATELY grabs you. We start off with our main female lead Titania. You are quickly introduced to other characters including her mother and father who are still in their minds very broken from a prior tragedy.
The kingdom is under attack from the kobold and they are doing everything to protect their realm.
I loved the layout of the realms and how they described where they were, as it isn’t something I have seen done before. Titania is a very relatable character as well. This story is just a wonderful dive into the fantasy world of the Fae.
