Maria did a wonderful job with this book. I really enjoyed how she started the book, gave us background information on herself and her family. And as she guides you along the book, you get more information. Something’s I thought I knew but was way off and Maria really puts things into perspective. It definitely is worth the read.

Loretta was out collecting pine needles for her strawberry mulch, when she came across ladybugs. Her mother told her that ladybugs are friends and they will help with spring harvest. That year they had the best harvest, and as winter approaches, the ladybugs go and hide away to help again next year.
Lois did another amazing book! Between the descriptions of the story and the art of the book. It was such a cute and quick read. We really enjoyed this one.

First thing- I loved that the author gave us all the codes at the start to help understand. This book was amazing, full of twists and turns.
Detective Nick and Victor get handed a case, suicide? But with all the clues it definitely seems like it’s something else. Will they be able to solve the case. Who was out for the victim? Laura Howard is a cake whiz, even though she’s still dealing with her crazy twin- but she’s in prison but still making Laura’s life hell. Laura and Nick are still trying to figure out where they are going. If they are going to start a relationship or be friends. Can they make it work between Nick’s case, and Laura’s twin?

Mira and Carl are siblings. They disagree on EVERYTHING unless it’s about their dad. They want to do everything together with their dad. They are always arguing who’s better at what in everything. The kids go to the beach with their dad, Carl keeps having to rebuild his sand castle, because of course Mira destroys them all. Carl finally builds the best sand castle that can’t be destroyed, it’s time to go home and they are ready to start over again tomorrow.
This was an absolute adorable read especially for kids that have siblings because everything is so true!

Nick is determined to get back to normal but his old soulmate is still stuck in Venice. Will Nick and Julia be able to get out and go back to normal? I loved the first book, this second one is soo good. I love how visually pleasing it is, the descriptions make you feel like you are right there watching everything happen.

Lisa had never had a sleepover so her and her friends do what they call “the monthly romcom movie club” where they all get together and watch a romcom. Tina is getting married and is one of Lisa’s best friends, she is the first one to arrive for movie club. Tina is telling Lisa about wedding stuff and says that her brother in law is now moving in with everyone at Tina’s mother in law’s house. Tina shows a picture of her brother in law to Lisa, of course she’s swooning over him. While Lisa is swooning over a picture of this guy, Mindy and and Ruby show up for movie club.
Aaron is Tina’s fiancé, and Ryan is Aaron’s brother. They are hanging out in the garage at their parents house thinking of what to do for the bachelor party. Aaron doesn’t want to do any of the typical things. He suggests axe throwing, or golf cart racing, something fun. Aaron ends up showing a picture of the girls to Ryan, and He is stuck looking at Lisa. That’s when mom walks in with a box of cookies and tells the guys they need to deliver it over to movie club. While the ladies are in face masks watching the movie, all of a sudden the doorbell rings. But Lisa made home made pizzas, Ruby asks if Lisa hired a stripper and they all laugh. Lisa looks out the peep hole. It’s Ryan and Aaron with the box of cookies Tina forgot. Mindy and Tina run down the hall to the bathroom to wash off their face masks. Ruby doesn’t care, she opens the door for the guys while her and Lisa are still in their face masks. Aaron asks Lisa to show Ryan her apartment. She gives him the tour of her small apartment and tells him that she’s a YouTube blogger for her job. Lisa is a good blogger and got an award for it. Ryan asks Lisa to show him what she does for work. So he sets a date for Sunday for her to cook for him and she can blog it. After the guys crash movie night Aaron tells Ryan it’s time to go so the girls can enjoy their night. Lisa thinks nothing of the date, nothing has been long term for her, except her girlfriends. She worked at a coffee shop near campus when Mindy, Ruby, and Tina were attending school. They pulled her into their friend group and kept her around. They traveled places they had seen in their romcom movie nights to go try different places to eat. Romcom night was over, the ladies tidied up Lisa’s apartment before leaving. Lisa wakes up the next day with a wine hang over, and someone is knocking on her door, on a Sunday? Ryan he shows up with two coffees and a bag in his hands. Lisa invites him into her apartment. Ryan couldn’t wait a week to Lisa. They both chat for twenty minutes then Ryan leaves. Lisa was good at meeting people, she had been doing it all her life when she was bounced from one foster family to another.
Lisa picks up her phone to go through food options and decides to text Ryan to see if he is allergic to any foods, and they end up bantering back and forth and then Ryan calls. He asks Lisa to a baseball game on Tuesday! She says yes and tells him to be there at noon and she will have lunch ready before the game.

Lois did another knock out wonderful book! This is aimed for I would say tween years but even as an adult it was super cute and really easy to follow.
Gwendolyn is an aspiring journalist, well when she’s woken up abruptly she changes into what ever she is dreaming about. Well suprise! She’s woken up and she’s an ELK! Now Gwendolyn has to figure out how to shift back to herself, but also learn how to be what she shifts into, but as an elk in hunting season this could be a little dicey. This is a journey Gwendolyn has to learn how to adapt to this new form.

This story takes many characters who will intertwine with each other. We have Amber, she was adopted at 4 years old into a beautiful family. We have Chloe who is a seer, this story kind of goes back and forth between their present life and their past lives. The two strangers will meet and dates will intertwine with each other. As a prophecy that spans a millennia, how will they work together to make things work for the present and possibly fix what has happened.

The intruders- Dex is a car salesman, he used to have a better job, but he walked away from that because he was gone from his family for too long. So he quit, got a local job, then something horrifying happens. His house is broken into, him, his wife, and two kids are kidnapped. These intruders seem to know everything about Dex’s life. His parents, their passing, his childhood best friend and his passing. They get Dex to spill his heart but it doesn’t seem to be enough. Dr H(the main kidnapper) wants to know everything and who is in charge. Dex makes a deal, his wife And children have blankets, pillows, and food and he will give them the information Dr H wants.
Dex and his family are able to escape thanks to Connor, but now they have to live life on the lam, they have to watch out for these groups that are kidnapping and torturing people. The silver eyed people are running for the government and it has to stop or this chaos will still continue on.
Really enjoying the authors notes at the end of each chapter because it gives you an insider of what they were thinking writing that chapter. I also enjoy that the very first chapter was the last, but now it’s not. So when you get to the end, re read the first chapter. This was such a fantastic read and so fast paced! I really enjoyed this and cannot wait to read more!

Wednesday is a mage, Ryker her best friend is a panda shifter. They have done everything together. Mama Xiao sets them both up on a singles cruise to find their mates.
Ryker is absolutely hilarious and so protective of Wen as she is of him. Wen is scared that Ryker will be taken from her from his mate. It was a beautiful whirlwind and I’m so happy for the ending I was rooting for them!

You have Dravos who is trying to commute his current sentence. Dravos wants Ravenna, but how since she loves another? I haven’t been able to put this book down. I cannot wait to get more of this series!!
