The Vardoger Boy (The Forerunner Saga Book 2) by Jay Veloso Batista – Review by Tori Mitton

The Vardoger Boy (Forerunner Series)The Vardoger Boy by Jay Veloso Batista
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another gripping book! This is the second in the series and amazing as the first.
In this book you will follow Kara, Cub, and of course our favorite Finn as their stories come along. This has more of the historical aspects, where as the first has more magic in it. But still soo good!! I’m going in for all the books in this series!!

Jake the Growling Dog Shares His Trail (Jake the Growling Dog Book 3) by Samantha Shannon – Review by Tori Mitton

Jake the Growling Dog Shares His TrailJake the Growling Dog Shares His Trail by Samantha Shannon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jake goes about his trail as he does everyday, when he comes across new feet marks in his trail. His friends come over the next day to help him discover what these marks are. As they go about the trail, they find the prints, and it’s their other friend Tucker! He is a 3 legged dog, it scares Jake at first and he says sorry to Tucker for being scared of him.
It’s a great lesson for children to never judge anyone about any disabilities. Was a really cute book.

No Pistol Tastes the SameNo Pistol Tastes the Same by Jacob Paul Patchen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story starts out with a little story telling, it takes you down the “I cannot put this down” rabbit hole of a book. This book brings to life what PTSD is like. It can show in many many forms, and JP is struggling coming back home from the military. Can JP get through this and get help for what he has dealt with and seen overseas.
So we’ll written!

The True Purpose of Vines (The Winemakers Book 1) by Giovanna Siniscalchi – Review by Tori Mitton

The True Purpose of VinesThe True Purpose of Vines by Giovanna Siniscalchi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am not one for historical romance novels. But something is so amazing about this book. You can tell ALOT of research has gone into this novel. I knew very little about wine making, but this gives you a lesson about all the details small and big. Its based in the 1870’s when women were not respected for owning any sort of business. Julia is trying to save her vineyard after her husband ends up passing away. Griffin is a brit who moves to Portugal to chase a debt that is owed. He ends up moving next door to Julia to keep an eye on her. Little does he know, he will end up falling in love with her.

Thorfinn and the Witch’s Curse (The Forerunner Saga Book 1) by Jay Veloso Batista – Review By Tori Mitton

Thorfinn and the Witch's Curse (The Forerunner Series #1)Thorfinn and the Witch’s Curse by Jay Veloso Batista
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thorfin and the witches curse. At the begining of the book it gives you a map that you can refer back to. As you will need it as you read the book. It also gives you a character table at the very end of the book which is helpful so you know who is who and what relationships they have and the ties they have to each land in the book. This tale is set in the 800’s Viking era. It makes you feel like you are right there with these characters. It has action, suspense, mystery, and magic all tangled into each other. This story is so gripping you’ll never want to put it down. Thorfin is our main character, along with Karl and you follow them through this amazing journey.

The Curse of a FaebloodThe Curse of a Faeblood by M.K. Lorber
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Firstly; the way the author describes the people in the beginning is amazing, it feels as if you are right there looking at them. It sucks you in and makes you feel as if you are in the story.
Ember- She is a Faeblood on the run, needing to get to the Northern Isles. Well she gets caught in the village attempting to steal a piece of bread. Jade was so gracious to allow Ember to work for the piece of bread, but is Ember a threat to village. I cannot wait to read more of this series.

Blood & Ravens (The Casket Girls Series Book 1) by A.D. Brazeau – Review by Tori Mitton

Blood & Ravens: A dark, paranormal romance (The Casket Girls Book 1)Blood & Ravens: A dark, paranormal romance by A.D. Brazeau

Blood&Ravens, takes a classic story and gives it such a great twist. Greer is like the mother hen to all the girls that were taken. Thereon is the protector, which again not expected. But it’s such a beautiful story that unfolds. And the twist at the end of the book!! Oh my gosh was not expecting that ending but so good. I hope there is more to this story!!

Hush, My Darling (Benoit and Dayne Mystery Book 2) by Winter Austin – Review by Tori Mitton

Hush, My Darling (Benoit and Dayne Mystery, #2)Hush, My Darling by Winter Austin

This book is such an easy read. It will immediately suck you in. I read this book in 2 days, I literally could not put it down.
I want to be best friend’s with Elizabeth, everyone needs someone like her in your life. Seriously. Lila makes you seriously think and question so many things through out the entire book. I actually cried at the end because its sad, and happy. I definitely am going to re read this, because you think the killer is a few different people, but at the end everything makes complete sense of who the killer is!
Kyle, you definitely want to be friends with, and you root for his and Lila’s relationship. I cannot wait for the 3rd book! such a wonderful series.
