This was a thrilling 5 star read. I was pulled right in from the beginning. The author does a great job with her writing and feels like you are right there with the characters. We continue with Donovan and Shirley’s story. This time they have to protect their family at all costs from the coalition…will they succeed?
If you’re looking for a great paranormal suspense this is the series for you. We get more on the edge of your seat moments. All of the characters added a great element to the story. I look forward to reading more from this series and author.

I have quickly fallen in love with this series, and it has also become one of my goes To’s. I have let all of my friends and family know about this series. I loved the first two books in the series, and this one was certainly no different. I loved the story development as well as the character development between the first two books and this one. As always, the author crafted together a wonderful engaging story, with everything I love about their writing. I was not able to put this book down until I finished it from beginning to end. The author knows how to capture a reader’s attention and transport them into the story. I love books where I can see and feel everything the characters are, feel like I’m right next to the character, and they did just that. It’s a rare skill to do and not many authors have the ability. I will definitely be reading more of their books in the future.

This is the second book in the Donovan Trait series by Seelie Kay and is just as intriguing as the first book. Seelie Kay sprinkled a little more intensity over this book but made sure to throw in some light-hearted humor to break up the tension. This book is a fun paranormal romantic suspense, with vampires, lawyers, vampire politics and law, agendas, uncovering the truth, and more. And as with the first book, Ye Gods! has an original take on vampire lore. If you loved the first book, then you really will want to grab a copy and dive in. If you have yet to read ‘First, We Kill All the Lawyers’, then I highly recommend that you do before starting on this story. There is important backstory, character details, and key information contained in Book One, which will definitely enhance your reading experience of this book. I’m excited to continue on reading this series in the near future.

This is the first book that i have read from the author and I loved every minute of it. I was not able tp put the book down, i had to finish it all in one sitting. First, We Kill All the Lawyers is the first book in the Donovan Trait series by Seelie Kay and it really was an amazing read. This is a paranormal romantic suspense, a great murder mystery with vampires, lawyers, crime and investigation, a serial killer, hidden agendas, revenge, shifters, politics, and all woven with a very original take on vampire lore. Donovan Trait is a highly respected lawyer- a superstar in courtroom circles, but there is more to him than meets the eye. For one, he’s a vampire who’s over 300 years old. The bodies are piling up, with no idea who could be targeted next. Donovan will need to do something to draw out the killer, especially if he is to protect those he cares about. What ensues makes for a gripping and suspenseful read. Add in the intriguing vampire lore details, the other paranormal elements, and a sweet romance I was hooked. The ending leaves an opening for more. I can’t wait to see what the author has instore for this series.

In the third installment, Julia is plagued by apparitions that only she can see and hear. This causes her to betray people she calls family to Valentino, The King of Vampires.
The last thing Matthew wants to see is Julia after her betrayal. He is finally building a new life for himself.
I really enjoyed this novel. I couldn’t stop myself from reading. The author has a way of making one invested in the characters and the consequences of their actions.
I don’t want to give too much away but I highly suggest reading this series.
I saw that there will be a fourth novel and I am really excited.

The first time I’m reading a book from this series. I really appreciated the prolog which helped me figure out a bit about the main character and how her vampire family was bound together for a purpose. Julia shares her troubles and learns to ask for help which is new to her. I felt a connection to Julia and her family as they work together. Overall I enjoyed the book even though I may have missed the earlier books.

Seventy years after the end of the first novel, Julia has lived in peace as her powers develop more. But the peaceful days come to an end when Valentino arrives to destroy the threat to his leadership. When fleeing fails, fighting is the only option.
It has been a long time since I read the first novel, however, I was able to keep up and enjoy this novel.
I still have a soft spot for vampire stories and the originality gives this a refreshing and engaging feel while reading.
I see there is a third novel. I look forward to seeing what happens next.

This is the third installment in the series and it really blew me away. Our writer has a very unique writing style and really knows how to take her time and let the characters, plot, and storyline develop beautifully. Her characters show such development and emotions that its hard to not feel like your right in the middle of story going through everything the characters are. Full of actions, emotions, consequences and more this story will blow you out of the water.

Vive La Resistance is the third book in the Donovan Trait series by Seelie Kay. It is an engrossing paranormal romantic suspense- with vampires, vampire politics and law, danger, drama, conflict, high stakes, humour, race wars, tension, and plenty of originality. Ray Donovan and his wife Shirley have been through so much, but the stakes have gotten even higher now with not just their own safety at risk, but also that of their children, as well as the entire half-blood population. War is upon them and there is much riding on the outcome of their battles. So, strap yourself in as things are about to get interesting! If you have yet to read the first two books in this fantastic series, then I highly recommend that you do before starting on this one. There is a continuation of storyline as well as having important backstory, character details, and other key information to discover in the other two instalments which will certainly enhance your reading experience of this book. Happy Reading!

So many things going on in the lives of Donovan Trait and his family! A war with the Vampire Coalition, trying to keep their family alive, and at the same time keeping the humans from finding out. What a great book! The story grips you even if you haven’t read the other books in the series, which I plan to read in the very near future. I really felt that I connected with and understood what they were going through. I have read other books by this author and enjoyed them a lot. Love how she adds some humor to the stories. Can’t wait to read more of her books!

I enjoyed the first two books of this series immensely. This one is written so differently than the previous two but once again is a masterpiece.
Julia and her relationship with the Ka-tet is shattered after she betrayed them in the previous book. Especially her relationship with Matthew. She is basically disowned by him. Matthew has moved away from the others and started a new life on his own. When Julia’s leader disappears suddenly, she seeks out Matthew to help.
The author once again built an amazing world and the people within. Even though this book was significantly different, it still had me in a vice and I had to finish it! I enjoyed ‘watching’ Julia deal with the consequences and her feelings towards everything that has happened.

I loved the first two books in the series, and this one was certainly no different. I loved the story development as well as the character development between the first two books and this one! As always the author crafted together a wonderful engaging story, with everything I love about their writing!
Donovan and Shirley are facing the dilemma at hand, and at the same time raising their kids and giving them the best life possible. What would that consist of in a perfect world? Perhaps living free, and not fearing of a law broken for well, living your life! A decision for war was made, and Donovan and his wife knew what was on the line, meaning they may not make it. I found this character development very commendable. Despite what they could lose, they cared more on what they could gain! This book brought on a lot of feelings, a lot of action, hardship, and of course suspense. I was not sure what would turn out as I turned the pages. The author is very gifted at all that they do! I was engaged and wanting to know more, the author doesn’t give away what could happen, they keep you in suspense and to keep reading. I seriously love this series and the writing of this very amazing and gifted author!
I loved the first two books and I highly recommend reading those two then reading this one for a good story development . I loved this one truly as I do this author. I highly recommend this series, this book, and this author! All are must reads. For sure, not ones to be passed up! Truly a remarkable read!

This is the 3rd book in the War Of Destiny Series and I loved it. The author does such a good job with the story and the characters. The story had me totally gripped and spellbound through it all. This book deal with some dark emotions such as guilt, regret, despair and at times complete helplessness.
Julie is back. After her actions from the last book we find her being shunned by her vampire family. If that wasn’t bad enough she also has to deal with the guilt for the loss of some of their people due to her actions. She sees no way through this and when she starts to see and hear people who aren’t there things get progressively worse. While she is dealing with theses feelings and the fear she is going mad, Samuel goes missing.
He is devasted by what has happened and when he disappears Julia knows she needs to find him and fast. Will he accept her presence? Will she get to him before its too late?
Add to this the dangers of the Hunters that have arrived and when one of the Hunters looks familiar to Julie this raises more questions. Once you start this series you won’t be able to put it down and this one just adds to the already amazing series

This is book three of the series. What a fantastical ride it is. Julia must work with her ka-tet to help her, even with them lacking faith due to her working with Valentino in the last book. Julie and Matthew must save Simon, battle apparitions, and help a rogue vampire. There is a lot going on in the story. This is why it is so good. I was pulled in from the beginning and just couldn’t put it down. I had to continue to know how things were going for Julia. Her loyalies are being tested every time she turns around. She’s seeing things. The plot has a couple of choppy spots but you can get through ok because it still goes together fairly smooth. I loved how the author tied the characters together but life wasn’t perfect; there were still problems. Fun book that I recommend.

This is the third book of the Donovan Trait series and it is just as good as the first two. Still in hiding Donovan and Shirley are raising their twins while trying to protect them and themselves for the coalition that wants to take away their children. Born behind the coalition’s back, the council did not take too lightly to it. The birth of the twins showed the other vampires that someone has been lying for years now they are covering their tracks.
Donovan and his family have declared war on the coalition. If they are going down, everyone is going down with them. The coalition retorted with genocide of any vampire who is not of pure blood. Everything seems to be working against the Trait family.
This book was by far the most action filled of the three. I was rooting for the Trait family from the very beginning. I love Donovan and Shirleys relationship. They are a power couple so in love. The twins are loved by all and have complete opposite personalities. They are an adorable family.

This is book 3 in the Donovan Trait series. I have been gripped by these stories from the first book and this one is no exception. I would highly recommend reading them from the beginning so you have a full picture of the characters and the story. If you love a paranormal story with vampires, Were shifters and humans and a fight between them all then this is definately a series for you.
We are back with the Trait family forced to go into hiding by the Vampire Coalition Donovan and his wife Shirley are going to war in a fight that could mean losing their lives.
The Trait family are forced to fight after the Coalition put warrants out for the capture of Donovan, Shirley and his kids. The Coalition is on a rampage trying to destroy everyone who isn’t pure vampire or half- breeds as they are called. The Coalition have ruled the vampire race through fear and lies and because Donovan and his family threated to reveal those lies the Coalition want them gone. So now Donovan and his wife are set out on a mission to recruit as many half- breeds and pure bloods to their side as possible if they are to stand a chance of winning this war. People should be free no matter who or what they are and that is what Donovan and his family are fighting for. Can they win this war and protect their innocent children and at the same time save everyone who doesn’t follow the Coalitions rules or will the Coalition be too strong and people to afraid to stand against them which will result in Donovan and Shirley losing their lives.

I loved reading this book. This is the third book in this series which I highly suggest you read the previous two books as they are just as great as this one. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. One of the things I love about this author is her writing skills. They are such that she makes her story pop and come to life. This book is no different. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the start. The characters are not only connectable but also made me feel as if I was part of their story. This is a well written story where the characters battle for their lives as well as their family lives. This is a story that is full of action and is fast paced. A story of vampires and a hard to put down story. I enjoyed watching the growth of the plot as well as the characters. This is a must read story that you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This is book three of the series. This has been a most exciting series. Donovan and Shirley have fought a very good fight for half-bloods and their right to life. In this installment, the war has been declared. They are still on the island and are battling by cyberwar and technological attacks. It’s kind of scary how much the plot could apply to real life. Well-written, the battle is for everyone, all half-bloods. They have been lied to for so long. The line is the sand has been drawn. I enjoyed the fact that even during all of this, they are still dealing with parenting struggles. The character interactions are all melding together so well. It’s a great finish to a terrific series. I enjoyed the series. I think other paranormal romance readers will also.

I really liked the 3rd installment of this series. The thing that was kind of disappointing was I felt the issue with the Matron from the first book was left unresolved, I kept waiting for something to happen. I did enjoy the final confrontation with the coalition. The old Vampires on the council were sick, and the way they treated half bloods, and the vampire women was just terrible. The ending was awesome, I liked the battle and the look into the future right after the battle, and how all their lives turned out. I do look forward to more books from this author.

Epic! What a great second book to the Donovan Trait series. I am in love with this unknown island with nuns that have the power to shield everyone from their location and information. Sounds like a good solid place to be. I am so happy that Shirley was safe and the babies were safe upon delivery, it is sad to think the vampire coalition lied to all vampires for centuries. Donovan’s family is amazing, rallying around him and Shirley to sand up against the coalition and let them know they are in the wrong. The ending left me dying for more! I can not wait until book three. I also hope to see if anything comes of the matron from the first book that tried to kill Shirley and Donovan. I am so obsessed with this series right now!

I love this book! Not only is there steamy romance there is murder and mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Donovan and Shirley try to figure out who is out to kill them. I liked the twist on vampire history, it is not your standard, vampires drink blood, there is science involved that has helped vampires evolve and I found that intriguing. The ending was left open, and I can’t wait to get to the next book to see what becomes of the high society matron and to see how Donovan and Shirley’s lives progress. I am also hopeful that Donovan’s sister Marilyn has a better go in the next book.

Donovan the three year old vampire lawyer is back! This time there is war raging between the Half Bloods who are fighting for survival and a place within the Vampire Nation who treat half bloods cruelly.
While this war is raging, they also have to be careful not to let it be known to the humans.
Donovan and his family are fighting the Vampire Coalition that wants them dead.
I haven’t read the second novel but this was also a run read but it was just as suspenseful as the first novel. There felt like there was so much at stake and I was on the edge of my seat as I read.
I will need to go back to read the second novel and find out how Donovan and their characters found themselves fighting the Vampire Coalition but I also hope we see Donovan again.

I love this series! I also love this author! Vive La Resistance! I say that with authority as if I’m involved. Because that’s exactly how this author makes you feel. That you are the half-breed fighting to survive! Donovan Trait is back! He’s one of my favorite Vampire character’s ever written, but I digress. We are at war, the Coalition vs Trait’s. Well it started out that way. But as you read through book three in the Donovan Trait series, you begin to realize it’s bigger than revenge and silencing the Trait’s. Now don’t take me saying war lightly because yes there may be some fire power, this is more cyber and technological warfare. Headed by the Lynx, he and his team find a way to get the messages out to half breeds. First starting with subliminal messages, then creating an app for protection, as well as creating units of humans to unknowingly keep the half breeds safe. Do they succeed? What other obstacles present themselves? Who will come out the victor of this war? Just a few questions and as you read I’m sure you will have others. Also another big theme throughout is vampire infertility, and why all the sudden one day it ceased to exist. The author does a fabulous job tying the two themes together in an unexpected way. She has a knack for that type of writing. It keeps you interested and guessing. You will not want to put this book down. But you must start at book one if you haven’t, it will be so worth it! I guarantee you will fall in love with Donovan Trait just like I have!

Between Darkness & Light is the third book in the War of Destiny series. This dark vampiric paranormal, fantasy story is unique and engaging. Theresa is great at storytelling and invites the reader in with cleverly woven threads. I said it before but I will say it again the characters are well written and have depth and meaning. Her world building is exceptionally crafted and cleverly built. The vivid narrative allows you to enjoy every facet of her storytelling. War of Destiny is a multi-layered and exciting series that I will be sad to see it go as I want more and more. Lots of action, intrigue, imagination and twist and turns will keep you glued to the pages.
Don’t miss out on this epic tale. Get ready to devour this series.

Seeing a new book from Seelie I could not wait to grab it and get reacquainted with old friends.
Donovan Trait is back in this original twisted paranormal Vampire romantic suspense tale. It is the third book in the series and a it only gets better. This is one series that you want to read the books in order to ensure you get the whole story. Not everything is doom and gloom. Seelie ensures to inject her humour throughout as only Seelie can.
Just to recap;
In book 1 – Donovan Trait is a lawyer who loves the lime light and a vampire. He loves a human and now they have a killer on their hands.
In book 2 – Donovan Trait and his bride are pregnant on the run when ancient Vampire law let them down.
Vampires, Donovan Trait and his wife are still on the run from the Vampire Coalition and the despots who don’t want half-blood babies to taint their true blood world. What they don’t count on is the other half bloods are coming out of the woodwork to claim their place in the Vampire Nation.
What ensues is a bloody, bloody war, or does it? You will have to grab this series/book and find out. You will not be disappointed.
Seelie said “Things are gonna get messy…” and they certainly do.

Again, amazing installment in the series! Seriously the series just keeps getting better and better. This author has had me hooked since the first book. I am too deep now, and I can not let go! I love how each one fascinates more as you read! A very amazing series I must say, impossible not to love and enjoy!
This one really appealed to me as it was the aftermath of the second book. We follow Julia and where she is at based on the decisions, she made in the second book. I felt for her at times, but she always amazes me in what she decides to do. She always comes out strong, even when she may appear at the lowest point. I devoured this one so easily. I loved the aftermath and the new adventure Julia had to undergo. There was never a dull moment, and the author really knows how to keep you hooked!
Amazing series that keeps on with hype it brings to the reader. Each book in the series catches my attention more and more! Love it so much! Highly recommend this must-read book! Truly!
