Runaway to the Outback(Welcome to Bunya Junction #2)by Nicole Flockton

4out of 5 stars

Runaway to the Outback is the second book in the Welcome To Bunya Junction series written by Nicole Flockton and the first book that I have read by this author. This is a contemporary romance about finding love unexpectedly, throw in a little drama and we have a great story.
The characters are well written with strong personalities and the way they play off their little quirks is awesome. This author pays a lot of attention to detail that you feel that you are right there.

Pandora Sebastian flees a taxing photoshoot and takes refuge in Bunya Junction’s only pub all while dressed as a bride and the locals are unexpectedly welcoming. Jonas Carruthers thought he’s seen it all until Pandora bursts into his pub and his life. Pandora need a break from her high-powered career so why not in Bunya Junctions.
She needs to go back and fix the PR mess she is in, also the only one who can own her mistakes and rescue her career. Jonas has been the strength she needed but will he understand that she has to go back but she doesn’t think he will stand by her.
Will they have a happily ever after or will they walk away from each other?

Runaway to the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction Book 2) by Nicole Flockton

Pandora makes a lasting impression with the town of Bunya Junction the second she walked into Jonas’s pub but more importantly is the impression she made on Jonas.

There is something so charming about this town and the people who live there.  I couldn’t imagine living in the middle of the country, living between a big city and the country is perfect for me but I would live to visit this place for a bit.

I throughly enjoyed this book, getting to know the townspeople a little better and feeling like I was a part of their world for just a while.  I’m looking forward to the next book and catching up with my friends.

Although this story was fairly predictable I still enjoyed it. It was wonderful getting to know Jonas and other characters. What I like about this series is that it’s not just romance. There’s a lot of trauma some of the characters have faced and worked through in order to love someone else.

I also like how everyone keeps finding their soul mate when they least expect it. It’s a beautiful series where it seems everyone eventually gets their happy ending. With all the events happening in the world it’s just what I need to warm my soul and put a smile on my face. I cannot wait for the 3rd book to come out in January.

I liked this story. It was cute and had it’s steamy moments. I wish there was more Collin stuff. His heart seems so pure. Maybe a prequel to the series?

I loved Ryans growth in the story. I thought everything about his character was realistic. From his fear of rejection to getting beneath the shield he wore to his true self. I want to know more about his family and the decisions they made for him.

Sindy was likable and encompassed a small town girl next door feel. Family oriented, Sweet, but tough.

Home to the Outback is an adorable story about fate, forgiveness, love, growth and healing. If you’re looking for a feel good happy endinddg then this is the book for you.

Must I say this book was a refresher and had some steamy romance scenes embedded in them? Pandora and Jonas obviously have tension between them but will the bar hold Jonas back and will Stardom hold Pandora back? Can people really be kind hearted or is it all a show to play Pandora? This book went beyond my expectations and the realism of the book and hardships of life helped me take a break from mine. I certainly will be reading more from this author!

I absolutely enjoyed this book. Pandora runs from her crazy modeling career to this small town called Bunya Junction where she meets Jonas. Unexpectedly they hit it off even though neither wants to move it too far because plans on going back to her city life. Jonas knows you can take the city out of the girl but Pandora is amazed at how a small town can come together and really take care of one another. Through the whole book I so wanted to jump into this town and live on a ranch.

Runaway to the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, Book 2) by Nicole Flockton is even better then Ms. Flockton’s first book in this series. Once again Ms. Flockton gives us great characters, wonderful details, and beautiful scenery. This story is filled with drama, lots of emotion, and another unexpected love story. Pandora comes to Bunya Junction desperately needs a break from her career and Jonas certainly isn’t expecting someone like her to come walking through the door of his pub. What happens when date intervenes and opposites attract? You’ll have to read Runaway to the Outback to find out for yourself.

Home to the Outback was ready truly a great little romance novel. This novel had such great characters, descriptions, and so much detail that you’ll feel like your right in Bunya Junction with all of these fantastic characters. I am personally so glad this is a series because I desperately want more of all the characters and Bunya Junction. After being through so much heartache, pain, and distrust Sindy and Ryan want nothing to do with love, but does fate have different plans? You’ll have to read Home to the Outback by Nicole Flockton to find out for yourself.

I loved this second book in the Welcome to Bunya Junction series – I love the setting for this series and the authors attention to detail makes me feel like I am right there with the characters. Jonas and Pandora were great characters to read about and I liked that their story wasn’t straight forward – there was this genuine connection between them and I was rooting for them from the moment they met – there just seemed to be this spark between them. I really enjoyed some of the secondary characters in the story too and I am excited for more to come from this series!
Although it is the second book in the series it could be read as a standalone but having read book 1, I would highly recommend that one also!

Nicole Flockton did it again. As she did with Ryan and Sindy’s story, she knocked it out of the park with book 2. The characters are solid and relatable (even if we aren’t all supermodels like Pandora). I adored seeing Sindy (Jonas’s sister) and Ryan in this book, but I’m incredibly glad they didn’t “steal scenes”, as it’s said. Jonas and Pandora shined together on the page, and their story was one hat had me enthralled from the beginning. The book captured the small-town essence so well. I almost felt as if I was in Bunya Junction! I truly can’t say enough about this book.

Have you ever showed up to a bar in a wedding dress? No, me either but that is how Pandora entered into the life of Jonas. This isn’t your typical run away bride story. I gave this story 4 stars because it is a decent and easy read. The characters do have some development throughout the story but the ending feels a little rushed. It is a slow burn steamy romance between the two main characters and they struggle through the whole book to overcome their personal issues. The issues get resolved in the last chapter of the book and the epilogue gives you a months after they resolved things and ends with a happy ending. It just felt as though there could have been more substance from the last chapter to the epilogue. I wanted to know more and be more intertwined into the overall plot of the story. Don’t get me wrong, this is a good book and worth reading and the series so far is good. I would recommend this book to people but would give a warning of the rushed ending. Again, this is just my take on the story. I am one that loves to be fully immersed into the story and I wasn’t with this one. I would chose to read it again because I can’t stress enough that it is good. I just like a little more meat and potatoes with my books.

OMG I am so in love with Bunya Junction!! please take me there again and soon! Nicole Flockton has created a beautiful little town, a wonderful strong community and characters that weave their way into your heart where they will stay.

Runaway to the Outback is the second book in the Welcome to Bunya junction series and brings us the story Of Jonas and Pandora. Jonas is a Bunya Junction boy who returned to town, after a successful career as a stockbroker, to run the town pub. Pandora is a highly successful model who after having had enough at a difficult shoot lands in Bunya junction and decides to stay for a while to clear her head. Both have preconceived ideas about it each other and need to look past those to the “real” person beneath. I am positive you will be pulling for this gorgeous couple from start to finish just as I was.

Characters met in the first book do return and even though you can read this book without having read the first and fully enjoy it, I do recommend reading it simply because its awesome.

Runaway to the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #2)Runaway to the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

With book one in this series, Home to the Outback, author Nicole Flockton became one of my favorite authors and that continued throughout all of book 2. Once again Nicole brings her characters to life with such detail that it is impossible not to get involved in their story and wish only good things for them.
In this book, we once again are taken to small town Bunya Junction and thrust into the lives of Jonas, younger brother to Sindy, the heroine of book one and Pandora.
Jonas is zealous about his work. He owns the pub and inn and works harder in a day than most people in a week. Pandora is a model and while she enjoys it in some aspects others make her feel the need to run. And run she does, straight into Jonas’ pub and in a wedding dress to boot!
Pandora is exactly the opposite of the model stereotype. She is warm, considerate, tender and is no slouch. She works just as hard as Jonas.
Jonas is determined, steadfast and opinionated and as the story plays out these traits make Pandora wonder if he could ever support her in some very difficult circumstances and decisions she must work through.
The characters are very well developed and the story is a page turner. Much like book one I couldn’t put it down. I love the scenes containing previous characters. Especially Ryan and Sindy. Getting to follow their lives together, even as supporting characters, really adds a bit of treasure you don’t get in stand alone stories.
I am in so in love with this town I wanna pack up and move there! Cannot wait for January when book 3, Doctor in the Outback, Scott’s story is released!!

5 stars are not enough!! This book is phenomenal. It’s a page turner and I couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed it so much I instantly picked up book two in the series. If you are looking for a great read with emotion, detail, great characters and an amazing HEA, then look no further this book is for you!
Sindy (btw I love the unusual spelling of her name) is a great character. She is so well described it is hard not to relate to her. I became very invested in seeing her get that great love!! Ryan is the traditional male character who thinks a little too much of himself, but finds his own in the end.
Being in the medical field myself I love how the people are skeptical of the new doctor. In real life it is truly like that when an out going but well loved doctor sells his or her practice. Yet the people of Bunya Junction still trust nurse Sindy. She ingratiates the people of Bunya Junction to Dr. Ryan and really makes them all see how kind and compassionate he truly is.
Author Nicole Flockton is officially on my list of favorite authors and I am willing to bet if you give her stories a chance she will be on yours too!!

Small town charm does it again; Runaway to the Outback is a story that grows on you. We have all had those moments where we want to disconnect from it all and take a breather or two. I loved that Pandora had the strength and opportunity to do this. She took a step back from the hustle and bustle of it all and ended up on the avenue of love. I appreciated that Pandora and Jonas coming together was not rushed, but they had time to get to know each other. I admired the complexities of these two characters. Runaway to the Outback is realistic, romantic, entertaining, and whimsical; make it your next read!

Just like Flockton’s first book of the series, Runaway to the Outback was a cute game of cat and mouse with Pandora and Jonas denying their attraction to each other and inwardly stating why their relationship would never work until the last second.

This one in particular calls to me as Pandora is very much a city girl finding all the joys in small town/country living.
The descriptions are great and I love the support that Jonas’ family provides each other throughout the books. Very realistic!

Jonas and Pandora are amazing together! Jonas and Pandora were made for each other! I absolutely loved learning more about Bunya Junction and getting to know more about some of the residents there. Pandora is such an interesting heroine. She sweeps into Jonas life like a hurricane and makes him realize that there’s more to life than just work and sticking to self imposed rules that were made because of past hurts. They bring out the best in each other and seeing both of their walls start to crumble was absolutely magical! This second book in the series was incredible and I really enjoyed that Ryan and Sindy’s story continued in this one here and there as well. I am so looking forward to learning more about Scott in the third book in this series! I have a feeling it’s going to be just as amazing.

Starting over is just what the heart needs sometimes. Ryan comes to Bunya Junction for what he thinks will just be a quick stop on his journey through life. Once he realizes he’ll need to stay a little longer, he still has one foot out the door. He can’t help being drawn to Sindy though, even after all the years that passed since they last laid eyes on each other. There’s such a strong undeniable chemistry between the two of them and even though they’re both deeply scarred they gravitate to each other. I really enjoyed watching the two of them come to the realization that what they both least wanted just might be what they need more than anything in the world. This is a sweet romance that really left me smiling at the end. I’m really looking forward to reading the next books in this series.

This is the second book in this series from this author. I hadn’t read the first book in the series so I was concerned that I would be missing out on important information. I found that I was able to pick up the story and read. I immediately connected to the main character, and she wasn’t anything like I expected her to be. I thought the story was well written, easy to read, and I didn’t want to put it down. I’ve never been to the Outback, but the author did an amazing job of taking me there. Her description was fantastic, and I could see Australia in my mind. I can’t wait to see where the author takes the story in the next book, but I do intend to read the first one to see what I missed out on. This is the first book I have read from this author and she now has a new fan. This is the second book to the Welcome to Bunya Junction and it could be read as a stand alone. I love a good contemporary story but this author exceeded my expectations. I could not put this book down until the end. I now need to read the first book to get a better backstory to all of these other characters.

Pandora Sebastian is a very famous supermodel that is getting tired of her job. She runs from one of her photo shoots to a small town bar. Pandora is greeted by a very handsome bartender named Jonas. She is drawn to him but she doesn’t know why. Pandora is in shock when this small town welcomes her with open arms and treats her like a real person and she loves it. She knows that soon she will have to go back but will Jonas come with her? Will Pandora get her happy ending or will she find herself alone once again?

In Runaway To The Outback we get the story of Jonas, brother of Cindy from the first book. Jonas was a city stockbroker but moved back home to take over the local pub.
It’s not everyday that a bride comes barging into the pub, but that’s how Jonas meets the gorgeous Pandora. But is she a blushing bride? Well…no. She’s a model who had just had enough and walked out of her photo shoot. Deciding to take a break from her career, she chooses to stay at the pub for a few weeks to recharge.
How will the big city model cope with small town living? How will Jonas cope with having this stunning woman living at his pub for a few weeks?
I think I loved this story even more than I loved Cindy and Ryan’s story. I loved that we got to see more of Cindy and Ryan and also got to know Cindy’s twin brother Scott better.
In my review of the first book I mentioned the camaraderie and kinship of the locals and it’s even more evident in this book and I really enjoyed reading that.
I loved this book and now can’t wait to see what Nicole Flockton has in store for brother Scott.

Home To The Outback is the first book in the Welcome To Bunya Junction series by Nicole Flockton. I have read a few books by Nicole Flockton and have always enjoyed them, so was looking forward to reading some more of her work. I’m really glad to have read Home To The Outback as I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Home To The Outback is a great contemporary romance where we get the story of Cindy and Ryan. Cindy moved back to Bunya Junction 3 years previously after a disastrous relationship and is not the nurse at the local doctor’s practice. Esteemed plastic surgeon Ryan returns to Bunya Junction to attend the funeral of the doctor of the practice who had brought him up. So how will things pan out when the deceased doctor leaves Cindy and Ryan half of his practice each? To add to the mix, Cindy is the twin sister of Ryan’s best friend Scott.
I really enjoyed reading Ryan and Cindy’s story. The author grabbed my attention at the very beginning and I was excited to read what was going to happen next. I do love a small town romance and this is a great example of that. You can really see the camaraderie and kinship of the locals.
I would say that I can’t wait to read the next book in this series but I’ve already devoured that, right after finishing this one.
This is a fantastic series and I’d definitely recommend it to others.

Runaway to the Outback is Jonas and Pandora’s story. We start out with Pandora coming into Jonas’ bar in a very small town. Pandora is dressed like a bride, but it turns out she is just a model for the dress who stormed off the set.
Instantly, the two have a spark between them and it is hard not to feel excited for the two. I kept screaming in my head for Jonas to make a move! These characters are pretty relatable and their actions are things many others have seen in their lives. Jonas reminds me a lot of my husband by saying things that come out wrong or things he shouldn’t have said at all. I really did enjoy this book of the series and cannot wait for book 3!

High-profile model, Pandora, lands herself in an out-of-the-way pub. She just wants a break from the stress of her job and needs a place to hideout. The fallout from what she’s done will catch up with her soon enough.

Pub-owner, Jonas, can’t believe what has just walked through his door. A runaway bride. Should he be concerned who else might be following her to the pub? This will be the talk of the town for weeks and really not something he wants to get involved in,

Runaway to the Outback is a heartwarming story of mistakes made and coming to terms with the past. I would really like to see all the books in the series become Hallmark movies!!

Nicole Flockton has created a fantastic game of cat and mouse within this story. I adore the chemistry that pretty much leaps off the page and slaps the reader in the face, while attempting to keep it from the characters. I’m just a sucker for stories that I wish my life was like, I guess!

The story is set up so great! Small town boy moves to the big city to get away from the people he thought hated him, and avoids anything that reminds him of his past. All the money and glamour can’t fix whats missing though. When an opportunity to make things right comes up, he – reluctantly – jumps at it and finds that he misses all the things he lost living in a small town… including his old best friend’s sister whom had grown into quite the woman since he last saw her. Sparks fly, a barrier is established and lines pushed…

I particularly love how Flockton establishes the antagonist, and how subtle it is.
