Flockman managed to develop characters that were relatable to anyone who’s spent time in a small town within an unbelievably short amount of time. Bunya Junction became a place I wanted to visit almost immediately. My emotions shifted with the storyline from sadness to joy to a bit of nervous tension. Tragedy turned into happiness in a way that gives hope to anyone who has experienced loss of their own. I look forward to the rest of the series.

Runaway To The Outback
Welcome to Bunya Junction
Book 2
By Nicole Flockton
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
You are about to step into a quaint little pub. You will meet new friends and enjoy the peacefulness that sets before you. That is what makes this a Contemporary Romance. One I am sure you will enjoy as much as I did.
Pandora Sebastian is a model who just needs some quiet. Stress from work had taken over and she just needed to get away. Running from yet another photoshoot, she hops into the closest car and drives away. Many things lead up to her driving away but I’ll let you read it for yourself. Jonas Carruthers owns the little pub that Pandora walks into. He has his own story to tell as well. No Spoilers will be found here.

Nicole Flockton wrote this “easy to get caught up in” novel. It is well written and keeps you entertained. I recommend you read Book 1 so you are caught up and ready to read Pandora and Jonas’ story. This author ends her story where the next one starts. Giving you a little taste of what is coming. I have grown to love the characters and their roles in the little town. This is one of those books that make it hard to put down. I am looking forward to reading the next in this series. Well Done Nicole Flockton! Well Done!!

I absolutely adore the Bunya Junction series by Nicole Flockton that focuses on the Carruthers siblings and finding their match. In this second in the series, Runaway to the Outback, we find out more about Jonas Carruthers, the local pub owner of Bunya Junction. One day, a woman, Pandora Sebastian, walks into his pub in a wedding dress. Speculation of being a runaway bride leads to the discovery that Pandora is a model and has run off her photoshoot. She escapes to the small town of Bunya Junction and discovers that the small town is in fact a wonderful place full of people who genuinely care for others. We follow the tale of Jonas and Pandora and discover to trust in others along the way.
I enjoy the people of Bunya Junction and how the are all there for one another. This is such a rare thing these days that I instantly want to meet these characters in the real world. I appreciate the secondary story lines mixed throughout the main one, such as Ray, the sweet and lovable storyteller of the pub and town. Although sometimes I wanted to yell at Jonas for being a sulking and stubborn man, he is a great character and takes criticism well from his siblings. I also appreciate the tease into the 3rd book about Scott and now I anxiously await its release.

  1. Runaway to the Outback is the second book in the Welcome to Bunya Junction Series by Nicole Flockton. This is a Contemporary Romance about unexpectedly finding love mixed with a bit of drama. Jonas owns the pub and thought he had seen it all until she came along. She’s everything he didn’t realize he needed in life. Pandora has made a mess and has to own her mistakes and fix this PR mess all while hopefully saving her career. Can he support her decisions? Can these two have a relationship? Runaway to the Outback was a really good read! So far I can’t tell which one is my favorite but this one was just as good as the first! I did enjoy the beginning of this one more, it was more mysterious in a way and definitely more entertaining. I also loved that this book let us see what happened to Ryan and Sindy after the first book. This series is quickly becoming a favorite because the characters are so relatable. I can’t wait to read the next installment of this series!

Runaway to the Outback by Nicole Flockton is the second book in the series A Welcome to Bunya Junction Romance. Jonas Carruthers runs the pub in Bunya Junction, a meeting place for the locals. One Saturday afternoon, the pub patrons cease their conversations when a bride walks into the pub. The bride isn’t a local resident and as the bride walks towards the bars and sits down in front of Jonas all he can ask is, “What can I get you?” It is scenes like this that Ms. Flockton does a wonderful job describing to bring you into the world of Bunya Junction that gets me sucked into reading her books. I love the way Jonas and Pandora Sebastian (the woman who isn’t a bride but is a famous model) begin talking to each other and finding they interact and work together well. I really enjoyed this book and had a good laugh at the last scene. I hope you love it as much as I did!

Well Nichole Flockton has done it again! She has made me fall in love with her realistic characters in this book. I have not read the first book in this series but make no mistake I’m going to go grab it now and read it quick! Who doesn’t want to be a supermodel? Pandora maybe? She will have to decide while she is hiding out in the small town. Then you have Jonas and the town not making things easy for her. Pandora finds she is falling in love with the whole town. I truly love this story and can’t wait to get the first book and any that come after.

I enjoyed this one! The story moves along at a good pace. The characters are spot on and there reaction and dialogue is cute. I really liked Jonas. He is smart, loves his town and his place in it. The meet cute between these two is great! When she shows up on scene she could have been high-browed and snooty but she was cool, collected and made the meet between them fun.

I really enjoyed catching up with Ryan and Sindy as well as getting to know more about Scott. I am thinking his story will be next.

Overall this is a quick, fun story. I enjoyed reading it and getting to know more about Jonas and meeting Pandora

Runaway to the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #2)Runaway to the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was quite enjoyable.

Jonas owns a bar in a small town. He is close to his siblings and is content with his life. However, those thoughts are turned upside down when Pandora turns up in his pub with a wedding dress on.

Pandora needs a break from her job…and takes it in the middle of a photo shoot with wedding dress on by hightailing it out of Sydney in a borrowed rental car. She isn’t sure what to do next, but stopping at a pub in a small town is where she finds herself a few hours later.

There is immediate chemistry between Jonas and Pandora. However, when the real world comes knocking and she must face the backlash of her rash actions, will Jonas stand beside her? Or will his peaceful small town living be more enticing?

I enjoyed this book. Both characters were coming to terms with the importance of self-happiness over their careers. They were searching for a balance that seemed to take a while to find. The supporting characters were also enjoyable.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author so I can honestly say that this book can be read as a standalone as I had no problem following along with this one.

Runaway to the Outback is a great romance read, I’m always a huge fan of small-town romances, there’s something so simplistic and relatable about them. Granted this one isn’t quite as relatable as the main character is a well-known model but I still enjoyed it all the same.

If you are looking for a sweet small town romance this is the book for you!

A famous model, Pandora, is fed up with an extremely demanding and verbally abusive photographer. She had enough, stole a car and left the photo shoot. Pandora finds herself in Bunya Junction at the local pub when she finally stops driving.. Rumors fly pretty quick in the small town that a runaway bride is in the pub. The owner of the bar, Jonas, is captivated by the beautiful stranger gracing a barstool in front of him. The author weaves a beautiful tail of a couple learning to trust again. Will sparks fly for Jonas and Pandora? Will she end up staying in the small country town or go back to the city and do a career she was pushed into? I really enjoyed this story. I liked that since the story was based in a small town, you get to hear from others that were introduced in the first book.

Home to the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction Book 1) by Nicole Flockton

I was curious about this book since I have read other books by Ms. Flockton and enjoyed them.  Seeing it was set in Australia made me even more curious.

I’m so glad I took the time to read this book.  It started off sad but the mood changes as we get further along.  Ryan’s past catches up with him when he ends up in the small town her grew up in.  He has no idea what to expect when the unexpected happens.

I liked Sindy, but I don’t know if there was one thing that endeared me or if was just who she was.

I’m looking forward to the next book, I love catching up with old friends and learning more about my new ones.

Runaway to the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction #2) by Nicole Flockton

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Flockton. This is the second book in the Welcome to Bunya Junction Series. It can be read as a standalone. Flockton knows what to do to keep her readers coming back.

Pandora comes into Bunya Junction running from a photoshoot. When she walks in everyone thinks that she is a runaway bride. She is tired of modelling and wants to take a break. The quote I chose for Pandora is: “I’m impressed with your knowledge. But in answer to your question, once I get into a room I’ll make a call then. It’s not your problem to sort out.”

Jonas is the younger brother of Sindy(Home to the Outback). When a woman comes into the pub looking like a bride Jonas wonders what is going on. He soon learns that there is no one coming to look for the bride. The question he has is, what secrets is she hiding? The quote I chose for Jonas is: “Are you hungry? We’ve got a pretty decent menu here, with good food. The offer of the room is still on the table. If you do decide you want to go back to Sydney, you can’t do it on an empty stomach. And I promise I will do my best not to say anything else that will upset you.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Right off the catwalk comes a model (Pandora Sebastian) that wants to take a break from all the flashing lights and runways. Finding relaxation in the small town of Bunya Junction.
This model didn’t know she could find what she wasn’t looking for here in a small town pub. Her eyes set on the owner which is none other than Jonas Carruthers (book one Sindy’s brother).
Can this model and pub owner make this work for them?
This little series is turning into a fantastic read. Book three where are you?! Because we are ready!

This is the second book in the Welcome to Bunya Junction series. I have loved the books in the series so far. These stories are sweet love stories set in a little village.
The characters are well written and are so well developed that you feel like you know the deeply and are experiencing everything with them.

Jonas runs the only pub in the quiet village of Bunya Junction.  His life is turned upside down when a runaway bride runs into his pub.

Pandora is a model. After a stressful photo shoot she decides to run away. Literally in the clothes for her photo shoot and the car as well.
Now she had a decision to make. Does she stay hidden in this small town or go back and face the music.

What she doesn’t anticipate is falling for the owner of the village pub who takes her in and shows her kindness and support. Can Pandora finally learn to relax? Will Jonas finally let love into his life after all the problems with past girlfriends? Or will the pressure and attention of Pandora’s job push them apart? How far will Jonas’s support go when Pandora returns to her normal life?

This was a first time read author for me, I must say it was more than enjoyed. I realized there was a first so I will be for sure going back to read the prior in the series. There was so much to love in this novel, I felt my emotions were all over the place, all in all, it was good ways as I was experiencing what the characters had felt and were going through. I was completely sucked in with no regrets!

One of the aspects I loved dearly about this book, was that it really got you thinking on life. For Pandora, she had a good modeling career and had a lot of things she wanted dropping at her feet. Is fame and fortune really what makes the heart happy though? I found that was what she was thinking about a lot. And how it led her to meet Jonas. Who was something not of her life style, but something more that could make her heart feel more real and full without all the glamour associated with her current life.

Pandora and Jonas was no match made in Heaven, but to me something even better and stronger that in my reader’s opinion. She was a rich person who came back down to Earth for an escape, as she was not all that happy. Jonas was a bartender who knew things on life and got though life well being him. i thought both sides of their stories were a great connection of chemistry between the two of them. As things progressed, drama and I mean a lot had happened, at least in my perspective. Heart break and sadness comes with that and perhaps even a chance for both characters to find home in the least unexpected way? Perhaps running from thing wasn’t the way to go, but perhaps it would be a road to lead you home? The book was an amazing read and I loved it so much, I did not want it to end in all honesty!

The author knew how to tug at one’s heart strings for sure and I loved all the events and things that happened in the book. It all developed the story and made the plot what it was, which was amazing and heartfelt. It was a very wonderful book that as I said made me reflect on things with life, and it is a book I highly recommend to anyone to read! Its one that yo will end with a smile, and be happy you read it!

Nicole Flockton is at it again with the second book in the Bunya Junction Series! Runaway to the Outback, is Jonas and Pandora’s story, which I actually enjoyed more than Ryan and Sindy’s. The character development continued to wow me as the story progressed, especially for Pandora.
Jonas being a typical stubborn male frustrates me at times, though his stubbornness reminded me of how blind and stubborn my husband once was as well.
The more I dig deeper into this series the more I fall in love with the small town atmosphere the author created. I also like how she sets up the next book with the last few paragraphs of the epilogue, which she also did in Home to the Outback.
I’m excited and can’t wait till Scott’s story comes out, aka book 3!!!
By the time I finish each book I’m ready to pack up my suburban life for small town living. Being that the author has written in a way for me to emotionally get involved and reevaluate life as a whole, makes me believe she has a wonderful gift.
I look forward to reading more by her in the future and not just books she’s written in the Bunya Junction Series.

Runaway to the Outback is book two in the Welcome to Bunya Junction series by Nicole Flockton. I honestly cannot get enough of this author and her work. Reading about a home grown love story really warms this Aussie’s heart. The total escape into this story was just what was needed and Nicole Flockton continues to impress and amaze me with the irresistible characters and their inspiring and adventurous journey. This series is fast becoming one of my favourite, and I absorb everything about it in one sitting.

Pandora and Jonas are hit by cupid and their story was unique and full of drama and attraction. Uncertainty and settling into a new town was quite the adjustment for Pandora. The sensual attraction between the two main characters was riveting. I just loved all aspects of this romance. It was so easy to escape with them and travel this intense and bumpy road called attraction. The writing was beautiful and the execution impeccable. A moving and sizzling story that rated high on my all time favourite stories. Amazing. 5 stars.

The second book in the series and it was just as well-written. This time it’s Jonas and Pandora’s story of unexpectedly finding love and some self-discovery along the way. Refreshing & Simple Love Story

I have to say I really enjoyed reading Runaway to the outback by Nicole Flockton. Although this is book is the 2nd to the outback series I ended up going back and reading book one. She did an excellent job in bring these characters together in such a hallmark feeling love story. I became very invested in Pandora and Jonas love story from the moment she busted through the Bunya Junction Pub in her photoshoot wedding dress. I love how the locals unexpectedly took her in as their own. I wanted to scream at Jonas towards the end of the book for not making right decisions right off the bat. I absolutely adored Ray’s love story being written in to Pandora and Jonas love story. It had the simple hallmark happy ending even for the brother of Jonas leaving an opening for another book in the series! I am hooked for sure to these books! Bonus for the book being an easy and short read!

This book is a sweet romance that brings to mind the movie The Runaway Bride (though Pandora is not a runaway bride). Jonas and Pandora cross paths when she stops in at his pub. She is running away from a modeling shoot (in a high end wedding dress)…. As you can guess, Bunya Junction is a small town and the gossip vine runs rampant. These two start the vine a’hopping. The messes they can get in and the assumptions they make. I found this book quite entertaining. The characters were well-written. All around, Sindy, Randy, Scott, Jonas and Pandora were like watching local good drama. It was romantic and sweet. Jonas and Pandora had rough times and worked through them. I loved trying to picture the area of Australia being written about. Grand book all around. Highly recommend you check this out.

This author and her attention to detail and style pf writing makes you feel like you are right there with the characters. This is Sindy and Ryan’s story. Sindy finds herself back in Bunya Junction and she takes a job at a medical practice as a nurse. All is well until he shows up. Ryan comes back to Bunya to pay his respects and to learn he has been given half practice while the other belongs to Sindy. Ryan’s plan is to not stay but things change.
