Trinity is a goal-orientated young rodeo queen who wanted to the rodeo and a social life but when her mother snapped her back to reality, Trinity puts rodeo first. Having to break Shooter Price’s heart was not how Trinity wanted to destroy their friendship. Shooter seems to move on quickly with Emily by taking her to homecoming just three months after their breakup. Shooter was the love-struck rancher who would rather put love before their dreams but his passion chose him. After graduation, Shooter goes off to college to try his hand at becoming a lawyer but he changes his mind and becomes a Deputy Sheriff. Bring him back to Elk Field’s as the new Deputy Sherif and Trinity’s reign as Elk Field’s Rodeo Queen could this be their second chance at love? This book was full of love, tears, and new determination. I love how the author builds this love story.

This is a good story the follows a couple from teens to adult. I like the idea of this and it reads very easily. It does move along at a slow pace letting the reader see where these two are now in their lives and thoughts of a future. Life revolves around the rodeo for these two. I loved that! The secondary characters are great! Some are annoying and others are ones we have seen from other books in this series. I wish more could have come from her bff to see where the jealousy came from. I also thought maybe his friend he met in sheriff school would have come into play as well.

Several years later, Shooter is back in town with a new job and Trinity is finishing up her rodeo commitments. Trinity has decided she needs a chance of pace and wants to experience her life by making her own choices without her mother dictating her every move. You meet several characters in this read that are a part of this series.

Seven days, just 7 more days and the control they have on me and this crown will be over. All Trinity wants is to get her life back. Being a rodeo pageant queen was everything she had wanted and she followed the rules to the letter. Her mom and best friend were there to ensure she got to the top, controlling every minute of her day.

Shooter Price was just as ambitious as Trinity and went off to follow his own path after he was dumped by her in high school. Things didn’t work out quite as he had planned but he made the best of it and headed back home.

This is where you will have to read to find out what happens.

This was the first book I have read by this author and I was surprised by her talent of getting you in the mind of the characters and keeping you there for the entire story. I felt every minute of emotion along with Trinity and Shooter. The side characters are just as riveting.

This is not my go to genre but wow.. amazing writing. This was a must read for me. For keeping me reading late into the night, I’m giving 5 stars. Bravo

This book is part of a series. There’s alot of characters and I found it hard to know who was who. Shooter has a big family with siblings and cousins. Even with that, i thought the book was good. It was a sweet second chance romance.

When Trinity was 15 or 16 years old she spent alot of time with Shooter. He was her boyfriend. Even though they were teenagers and only gave each other little pecks here and there but they definitely had strong feelings for eachother. Trinity’s mom told her she needed to cut Shooter loose because he was a distraction. She thought he would understand since they are both focused on their goals. However when she broke up with he, he was heartbroken.

10 years later and he’s back in his hometown just in time for Elk Field’s week long festivities.
In the last 10 years Trinity accomplished what she set out to do by becoming Rodeo Royalty but, now she cannot wait to be done with it and start really living and having a boyfriend. Her mom and Kaley keep trying to push her into modeling but she just wants to be able to live a normal life.

When Trinity and Shooter see eachother and have a dance together, it’s clear both of them still care so much for eachother. Will Shooter be able to give her a week longer to be done with all this rodeo stuff and crown a new queen?

This is the 7th book in this series and can be read as a stand alone. It is also one of many that I have read by this author and each time I read one of her books, I am reminded why I like them so much. This book has everything that you could want from a second chance romance stand point. I like the twist where the female is the one that left in pursuit of her dreams. It gives it a little twist that isn’t in most second chance romances. I also, really enjoyed the male character and how he is the one that struggled after the break up. It just took some different perspectives that really made me enjoy the book. It is a quick read and you won’t be able to put it down because of how well it is written. This books showcases the struggle that can happen within families when someone takes an ex back and how outside interference can effect relationships. That said it was amazing. I am looking forward to reading more from this author cause I have yet to be disappointed.

Trinity has been living her dream of a Rodeo Queen but as her term is coming up she is reflective on the opportunities that have passed her by, one in question is Scooter Price. She broke his heart when they broke up, but now seeing him again bringing’s up the old feelings of lost love.

Scooter is a little lost in his career, seeing his old girlfriend Trinity living her best life kind of makes him feel like a failure. When a chance meeting at a dance throws in the feelings he thought he had buried, can he follow what he truly wants or will other people trey to sabotage the relationship.

This is the seventh book in this collection and can be read as a standalone. The book is fast pace and a quick read with all the elements of a second romance that is just brilliant to read.

The chemistry between the main characters is off the page and you have to have a little pull of your heart strings for Scooter as he is so conflicted at times. Trinity character was refreshing to read and although she went after he goals she also felt the pull from Scooter that she may have made a mistake.

The book is a romance novel with all the heartfelt feelings and characters you just fall in love with, can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

She’s My Rhinestone Cowgirl is a sweet second chance romance. Between two characters who were teenage sweethearts before dreams came before feelings. This is their journey back to one another. The author gives the reader exactly what they want. Love, romance, animosity, jealousy and so much more. I’ve read this author plenty of times and I will keep coming back for more just on merit. This book is no different. Part of a series which reads very well as a standalone novel. But I bet when you’re done you will want more.
Trinity chose the path she’s on. Local Rodeo Queen, she wanted to represent the state but ended up being runner up. However this life came with sacrifices. Her independence being the biggest one, and Shooter coming in at a close 2nd. He didn’t fight for her then, what makes her think he still wants a chance now.
Shooter had his heart broken by Trinity, but guess what he’s back and they are now in the same town. Having yet to cross paths he’s not sure how he will react when they do. She left him for a dream and though he understood it doesn’t mean it didn’t hurt.
Does he still want her?
Does she still want him?
Jump in and see how these two navigate these very questions. How they get past obstacles in their way, even with the help of others.
This author isn’t one to let the reader down, so hopefully that gives anyone enough faith to check this story out!

This was a sweet second chance romance. I found this book enjoyable and entertaining. I found Trinity’s character to be refreshing. Trinity had to make a lot of sacrifices for her dreams including Shooter. Years later Shooter is back in town as a Sheriff and Trinity is so close to starting the chapter in her life. The connection between these two is still just as strong as it was before. Will they be able to overcome the past to build a future together? If you want to find out then this is a must read. This book can be read as a standalone. My advice is to read all the books in this series because this author is very talented and I have never been disappointed in anything I have read by her. I look forward to reading more. I recommend this book.

I have had the pleasure of reading several books by Ms. May, but this is the first in this particular series and once again she delivers exactly what I have come to expect from her, a book that I enjoyed.

The childhood sweethearts having lived their lives separately when goals and outside forces pulled them apart end up finding their happily ever after for now.

Shooter is starting his life after college and the Academy and Trinity finally gets to live her life how she wants.

I have added this series to my ever growing TBR list so I can get caught up.

This is the 7th book in the My Cowboy series. This is a contemporary romance sent in the world of rodeo’s pagents and cowboys/cowgirls. This is a second chance romance filled with emotions, heartbreak, moving forward and returning full circle where you started.
In this story we are with Trinity and Shooter. They were young sweethearts but when Trinity’s dream of becoming a Rodeo Queen hangs in the balance she has a decision to make. Does she stay with the boy who’s captured her heart or does she leave him to follow her dreams?
Trinity’s choice leaves Shooter heartbroken and they both go their seperate ways chasing their own dreams.

Now Trinity returns back to her home after reaching and achieving her goals of becoming Rodeo Queen. When Shooter sees her he can’t help but feel like his life has been a failure after seeing all her success. However as they spend time together all those old feelings resurface.
Could this finally be the time for them to get their happy ever after? After Trinity left him heartbroken how will Shooters family react to her being back and wanting to be a part of his life again? And after all of Trinity’s success will the relationship even work with Shooter feeling like a failure against everything she has achieved.

This was a moving second chance romance and I couldn’t help being captivated by their stories. My heart went out to Shooter because not only did he get his heart broken but when Trinity returns he is also left with a lot of self doubt about himself which was a struggle for him to overcome.

She’s my Rhinestone Cowgirl is a western style l, second chance romance that was a great change of pace from what I’ve been reading. Trinity Redhawk and her dreams of being a rodeo queen had her leaving Shooter in her dust, but after achieving her dreams, and coming back to him can Shooter and his family forgive Trinity? After all if you release it and it comes back, it’s yours, right?

This book was a really sweet story. It’s one of those good pallet cleanser’s that you read in-between books. The romance between Scooter and Trinity was really sweet, watching them go from young love to heartbreak to second chances again in their adult life. I absolutely loved Scooter and my heart went out to him when he was struggling. The ladies in his family are definitely a force to be reckoned with! They weren’t too thrilled when Trinity had come back into Scooter’s life. But watching them grow together was heartwarming. I finished this book pretty quickly, and I loved the story telling and word building. I’m for sure going back and reading the previous books in this series!

An enjoyable and engaging western romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Rodeo queen Trinity Redhawk was determined to follow her dreams but it meant making sacrifices. One of those was ending her relationship with Shooter Price. Having now achieved her goals she’s weeks away from passing off her crown and looking forward to the next phase of her life. Shooter also left to pursue his dreams but ended up returning home having failed to accomplished them. It was bad enough having to start over but seeing Trinity, the girl who broke his young heart achieving hers made him feel lesser. One dance between the pair changes everything as it brings back memories for them both. However, although Trinity can see a future with Shooter he knows that the women in his family have not forgiven her for leaving him. With interference from Shooter’s family the couple must decide if they can establish a relationship or were they just not meant to be together. I loved Trinity and Shooter as they were both likeable and relatable characters. Their chemistry came across in the narrative and I liked how their relationship developed throughout the story. A heartwarming romance which I definitely recommend.

This book is a fun, second chance romance story that is perfect for one of those lazy afternoons spent reading. It is the seventh book in the series but can be read as a standalone, although all of them are worth the time! I loved reading about these characters. It was so nice to see the female MC being the one to achieve her goals, over and above the male MC. More often than not, it is the other way round so it was refreshing to read something a little different.
I thought the story was well developed. The author knew just how to move the story on and keep the characters connection interesting. This is an author I always enjoy and this series definitely lives up to that expectation. I would recommend this book to any fan of romance.

I have enjoyed several books by this author, so I picked this one up without a second thought. That being said, I will absolutely be going to the beginning of the series to start from the beginning because I definitely need more of this world! The characters are well-developed and instantly relatable. I love both Trinity and Shooter, and their chemistry is remarkable. When you have to choose between a dream career and a dream love, how do you make the right choice? I finished this book the day I started it because I couldn’t put it down. Trinity had always wanted to be a rodeo queen…and she made sacrifices to make her dreams come true. One of the biggest sacrifices was breaking up with Shooter. Time has passed and it is time for Trinity to return home to move on to the next stage of her life. What she doesn’t expect to find is Shooter, after chasing dreams of his own, to be the Sheriff back home. Being i in the same town, these two find themselves near each other time and time again…and the spark they once had is still there. With some self-doubt, and grudges held by family members, these two have their work cut out for them if they ever plan on seeing if they can the bring that spark to life.

This is a quick read that I devoured in one sitting. It’s a story of sacrifice and chasing dream…as well as growing up and the journey of life. I enjoyed watching these two grow and mature…and find where, and if, they fit into each other’s lives now. While I have read previous books in the series, it is not a necessity to follow the flow of the story.

All these years later Trinity is ready to hang up her crown and move on to the next phase of her life. Shooter has finally found his place as a sheriff’s deputy. After they connect during a dance it’s clear there is still a connection there. Will they be able to put the past behind them and find their happiness?

She’s My Rhinestone Cowgirl is the seventh book in the My Cowboy series by Brooke May. This is a second chanced contemporary western romance where dreams and ambition come between young love. But what happens when the rodeo is over? Follow all the angsty drama, chemistry, and emotion- as Trinity and Shooter pull us into their world.
Even though this is the seventh book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. But, having said that though, I recommend getting your hands on the entire series as there is plenty to love about the previous six books- with lots of other characters to get to know.
Looking forward to more in this series.

Cover Designer – Dark Water Covers
Being a rodeo queen is the only dream Trinity Redhawk ever had. To be a girl with a strong platform who looked different from all the other smiling faces that she saw growing up.
But with that came the dedication to putting other things aside. And that included a relationship with Shooter Price. Breaking up with him allowed Trinity to go after her dreams and achieve her goals.
Now, she’s a week away from passing off her crown and being done with that part of her life and looking forward to something else. She can’t help but let her gaze wander and settle on Shooter all over again.
Shooter Price swallowed a bitter pill when he came home after failing to accomplish his goal and was forced to find some other avenue to go down for his adult life. What made it worse was seeing the girl who broke his young heart achieve her dreams while he was left feeling lesser.
And then they danced. Whether it was the song, the girl, the place, or all of it together, it brought something back to Shooter he thought long gone.
But the women in his family don’t care for Trinity and what she did to him. Can he establish something with Trinity now without outside interference or were they never meant to be?

Brooke May has been a Wyoming girl her entire life, most of it right here in Sheridan where the majority of her family resides. Growing up, she’s always had a wild imagination that came together to publish her first book, a cowboy romance inspired by her home and the rodeos she’s always loved attending.

Now, she continues to write where her imagination takes her with most books inspired by the scenery and beauty that is Sheridan, the Bighorns, and Wyoming. She’s a wife and mother of two and splits her time writing, playing with her kids, and of course, hiking, hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling in her favorite places in the BigHorns.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Percy’s Brides by Ivy Hart is the first book I have read by this author, and I found it to be a sweet story of a man who has to choose between two completely different woman to build a life with. We are introduced to Percy, who is the main character and is the owner of a local hardware store and has yet to find true love to build his future with. Percy’s life takes an interesting turn when Clara, a mail order bride enters into the town and catches Percy’s interest. Percy is pleased to find that he and Clara share a lot of interest in the same type of things they would like in the future. Just when Percy thinks everything is going well, his world takes an interesting turn when Amelia, another mail order bride enters into his life. Amelia has her mind set on marrying Percy, but she is nothing like Clara and Percy has no idea on what to do or which lady to choose. Unfortunately, disaster strikes at the coal mine in town and Percy has to push all ideas of love out of his mind for the time being. This was a short, sweet and quick read that you will breeze through trying to find out if Percy chooses Clara or Ameilia. To me this book gave Little House on the Prairie vibes with its tale of life, love and the many conflicts that can be faced with prairie life. I hope that you pick a copy and find out for yourself!
