Percy’s Brides: A Double Trouble Romace by Ivy Hart was an interesting little read. I’m not a big western fan, but I rarely shy aware from a new genre. I’ll admit I was just as smitten with Percy as Clara and Amelia! I loved Ivy’s ability to bring these characters to life, as well as vivid world building that put you right beside the characters and kept you turning pages. I was definitely pleasantly blown away by my introduction to this genre, and look forward to seeing more from Ivy Hart!

This was such a wholesome read and Percy is such a kind soul , he may sell hardware but he’s got a soft gentle way about him ….this was a story of people searching for love and living life in a very time
So he’s needing a bride and both his mother and sister are encouraging him to think about a mail order bride and while he’s hesitant he finally gives and writes a letter …. Now I get his hesitation but I. Those days it wasn’t unheard of or that strange , I’d be very weary in this day and age though ..
So Clara replies with some encouragement of Margret , a friend and also a teacher and she’s a school teacher and shame I felt sorry for her because she didn’t always have it easy being a teacher and a woman in that time , also she was determined to make it on her own and not depend on her family influence which says a lot about her as a person I think anyhoo she has desire to be a wife and mother and if I’m honest I’d also fall for Percy and his beautiful penmanship 📚
Percy felt it unfair to bring a woman into the hard living of a mining town and especially if she was from the city because amneties were limited and it isn’t an easy life so he’s honest and wants to paint a picture of what would be her life ….
Then we have Amelia our seamstress who is rather talented and a humble soul but she also has dreams not only for her shop but also of love and family … and she reads of Percy and quest of finding love ….. she too writes a letter to Percy
Percy has his hands full when both ladies arrived with days of each and hoping to be his wife and then tragedy strikes at the coal mine and romances are put on hold when survival becomes more important and when a town has to pull together and stand together….. my heart just broke for everyone involved ….
All is well that ends well as it always is with God’s plan and His will will always prevail 🙏I just want to say that Percy is a man with a love for God and he’s a big heart and I may just have thrown myself into the equation if I wasn’t already madly in love with my own Percy 😉❣️

This is a clean historical western romance book with a plot that revolves around mail-order brides. The groom finds himself faced with a dilemma of two women and how multiple potential brides came into the picture. I think you’ll really enjoy this book if you’re a fan of historical westerns or romance novels. It’s a well-written and engaging story with characters that you’ll root for. I hope you’ll give this book a try. I think you’ll be glad you did.
This is my first time coming across author Ivy Hart. This story Is great if you are looking for something short but with drama filled twists and turns, this is the book for you and you won’t regret reading. This historical western romance with now one but two mail-order brides, from the male MC family. I also loved the hea we got for the main characters.I definitely wanna read some of this author’s other books like the Jardin sisters series, it looks good and the covers are super pretty. And they are quick reads, from what I’ve seen this author writes fast reading. Which is awesome for when you need those quick Romance fixes 🤣🥰 I look forward to discovering more from this author.

Great characters and fun story. Truly a happy ever after story. Lots of family drama and entertaining moments. I would recommend for anyone looking for a fun romantic novel. This is a quick read, and the storyline flows very well.

Percy is an honorable pillar in the community and much to his mother and sister’s dismay he is still a bachelor. He wants more than his store, but doesn’t know where to look for love. Then Clara. followed by Amelia a week later, show up at his store each believing they are the missing piece of Percy’s life. When the town comes together after a tragedy each is shown their destiny. Percy’s Brides was a short read that kept moving at a quick pace. Parts of the story were quite predictable making for a fun read.
While this is the first book I have read by this author, it certainly will not be the last! It was a pretty quick read as well and found myself not wanting it to end. Even though it is on the shorter side, the flow of the story itself is wonderful. The storyline didn’t have any jolting instances that could have pulled me out of the world, which I appreciate because it seems to happen quite often in other western romances. It’s also quite entertaining with some family meddling and drama thrown in as well. Our main character, Percy, was placed in a unique dilemma by family and has to somehow find a way out without too much damage. This is a refreshingly clean romance to read on your Sunday afternoon. I’m eager to read other books by this author!
Oh my stars! Have you ever been set up on a blind date by a well-meaning loved one? How about if you didn’t know you were going to be on a blind date? Have you told yourself to have a good attitude about the situation- it might work out, after all? What if, in the middle of this blind date, you realized a second loved one has also set you up on a blind date, but with another person? Did your momma and your sister ever set up dating profiles of you for an online dating service? This book is for anyone who has ever had anything remotely similar happen to them.
I enjoyed this book. Going in, I had completely misunderstood what the book was about as far as the two brides thing. I didn’t really realize it was a “mail order bride” type of a thing. It was definitely my first book with that plot line. I thoroughly enjoy reading new themes unlike others I have read, so this ended up being a huge plus for me. It can show how family butting in and pressuring you can be really tough. It can put you in circumstances you likely would not have been in without their “help”. Percy writes multiple letters in order to find someone to settle down with. Two women end up showing up and he must choose one to spend his life with. They soon realize, sometimes there are more important things to worry about, like loss and community. It really changes how things are seen for all of them. Who does Percy choose in the end? Read to find out!
This is a western, historical (clean) romance and it was good. I enjoyed the drama of not one, but two “brides” showing up within days of each other…both expecting to marry Percy. And then there’s the town drama when the coal mine collapses so there is enough drama to go around. I liked the characters and I thought the plot was OK. There were some inconsistencies throughout the book and a few plot holes, but I would definitely pick up another book by this author if I’m looking for a pallet cleanser or something light to read.

Percy’s Brides is the first book I’ve read by Ivy Hart. It’s a historical western romance. Not typically my cup of tea, but I found it a rather enjoyable read. Percy is the youngest of his family and he knows his brothers will get the family farm so he makes sure his future is set and owns a hardware store. His mother wants him to marry. He’s just interested in running his business. Unexpectedly, a woman, Clara, shows up believing she is to marry Percy. She’s a mail order bride! After spending a week with her, he starts warming up to the idea and thinking maybe this won’t be so bad. Then a second woman, Amelia, another mail order bride, shows up expecting to marry him as well! I would definitely recommend this book. It was a rather quick read.

The characters are relatable and fully developed make the story come to life. Percy is a businessman who is about to get more than he ever imagined. What will happen when he receives two mail order Brides instead of one? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m already looking forward to reading more from this Author.

This is a very unique read, I really enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. It’s about taking a leap of faith on their journey into the unknown. The characters have shown their resilience and how they each handle the trials and tribulations they have faced in their own way. I especially like when Percy comes at crossroads, when he doesn’t know what to do, he goes to the church to contemplate the situation in peace and quiet.
An enjoyable and engaging historical romance which kept me happily tuning the pages. Set in a small prairie town, Percy Sutton is the proprietor of the towns hardware store. Percy is looking for a partner to share his life and his business with. He’s looking for love, but things get complicated when his family’s meddling results in two mail-order brides turning up to marry Percy. Clara arrives with a trunk full of books hoping to educate the town. Her and Percy share the same dreams and are planning on building a home and community together. However, when Amelia also arrives believing Percy is her match, Percy’s future with Clara is not so certain. When there is a tragedy at the community’s coal mine the three must put their personal dramas aside for the greater good of the town. Eventually Percy must choose between a life with Clara or Amelia. This was a heartwarming romance and both the characters and setting came vividly to life through the descriptive narrative. I found the added historical details transported me back in time, and the small ‘Western’ town feeling definitely came across. I was hooked by the storyline and I found that Percy, Clara and Amelia are all likeable and relatable characters. I was hoping for a HEA, no spoilers, pick up the book!!!

Its set in the early settler days and Percy is determined to set up his homestead away from his family in the town he owns a hardware store in. He also hopes to find a woman who will be just as much a partner, friend and lover to live this life with. When Clara arrives in town with all the books she own ready to find love and teach the young ones all she can. Clara and Percy are moving right along with Clara being a little wild but also very educated and ready to share that knowledge with all she can. They are beginning to think things can’t get better until Amelia arrives ready to wed Percy. Clara and Percy are at a crossroads and Percy doesn’t know quit what to do and then tragedy befalls the community when there is a disaster at the coal mine in town. Percy, Amelia and Clara put their relationship woes to the side to see that the community gets all the help they need. In the end the question still is, who will Percy choose to be his wife? Read this fun historical romance to find out.

The characters were strong and honorable. The plot was well-written and believable. The author is creative in how events happen and are resolved. I loved the relationship between Percy and his mother and sister. They cared so much about each other and it made me smile. The ending was perfect.

It’s been a long time since I have read Mail order bride story and never have, I read one where there is 2!! Loved this book, it was a joy to read. Percy a shop owner in a small town and single, has everyone including his mother asking him when he will settle down. Including talking about mail order brides. One day Clara walks in fresh off the train to discuss his proposal…. One he didn’t make. Elenor his mother had put in a ad for a bride and Clara responded. After a week of getting to know each other and not making any plans in comes Amelia who has also responded to an ad by his sister Lila.
The issues is 2 mail order brides and 1 groom who just wants everyone to be happy. Percy came up with the idea of getting to know both of them and letting them decide. Clara wants to stay even if it isnt with Percy, she was a teacher in her former town and would love to build a school there. Clara sold her shop to marry Percy and started a Seamstress shop in a room of Percy’s place.

When I first started reading this book, I wasn’t sure if it was going to turn out that the MC had a choice to make, or if it would turn out to be a MFF book. The description did a great job of leaving just enough breadcrumbs to pique my interest without giving away too much. When I started reading it was easy to connect with both the story and the characters and I was pulled into the story with ease. I enjoyed the dynamics between the characters. It was interesting to watch how things played out and I can’t say I was ever sure how things would end up. This is the first book by that I have read by this author but I enjoyed it enough to say for sure I will be reading more!
I quite enjoyed this. Percy had his hands full. Watching him get himself out this drama was fun. Lots of drama and conflict (what else from a meddling family) and so much more. It’s a clean, historical romance that was a joy to read. I love getting some of these in between everything else I read.
Percy’s Brides: A Double Trouble Romance by Ivy Hart was not what I expected, but I mean that in a good way. I must admit that the title threw me off a little as it implied, or I assumed, that it was a polyamorous love story — and I wasn’t sure I would enjoy that kind of story, especially in an historical setting. But I am always open to new reading experiences, so I took a chance and set off on the adventure. As I mentioned above, this is a (western) historical romance with a mail-order bride element, meddling family, a ‘western’ small town setting, some drama, angst, and challenges—where the characters not only find love unexpectedly but also get a chance at new beginnings. Percy is a businessman with big plans for his future- so what happens when his meddling family cause a little mayhem in his life, and not one, but two mail-order brides show up on his doorstep. You can guess how that went down. But Ms. Hart ensures that love overcomes all obstacles and ensures our MC’s HEAs. While there were some issues with the story and some inconsistencies/contradictions in the storyline, they didn’t detract too much from my first reading experience of Ivy Hart’s work. Happy Reading…

Percy owns the local hardware store and is very committed to running it smoothly. His mom and sister are very concerned about his bachelor status. They begin to encourage him to write letters to young ladies to see if he can find “the one” in mail order bride style.
Clara is a teacher who’s also very independent. When a letter arrives from Percy and she begins to get to know him better, she makes the decision to leave her job and go to be near Percy to see if their relationship can go anywhere.
Amelia is a seamstress. She’s very devoted to her craft. She too receives a letter from Percy. Having no family per se to keep her in one pace, Amelia finds herself on a train to meet Percy and possibly start a life together.
When both women show up within days of each other, they are all a bit perplexed at first….
I enjoyed this read very much! It’s a novella that can easily be read in 1-2 settings. This is a clean romance that I could safely recommend to anyone looking for something in this genre. There were a few character flaws (names misattributed, family situations) so just know that going in.

Meg and Ryan Kinkaid grew up as neighbours and his grandparents loved her like their own , I mean Meg and grandpa Hank were as thick as thieves ! I think it’s her incessant chatter that bugged him but she’s a sweet soul anyhoo she moved away but headed back to her hometown to run an antique store “ Finders Keepers” , she lives in her childhood home , her gran’s actually but she spent summers there , but the land was purchased by the Kinkaids
So Ryan has built yurts for tourists and Hank has come across some old stuff he wants to share with Meg and her quaint store . There are photos which are rather valuable but also hold a sad part of history which Ryan is aware of but he’s trying to right the wrongs of the past , this just makes me love him even more , it speaks volumes of his character …..
Hank and most of the town know these are meant for each other but they don’t 🥰🤣🙈he thought having Meg there might make them realise what they already know 🤣and don’t panic they eventually get there 🥰what a joy it was to be part of their journey I laughed , I cried and I cheered them on their way …
Meg’s dog Colby 🐾🥰also loves Hank and I just love how excited they get to see each other ! There’s just something about a small town and it’s people that gets me 🥰

Meg grew up with Ryan and she always annoyed him. She came back home to work at her struggling antiques shop, and lives next door to Ryan and his Grandpa. She thinks of his grandpa Hank as her own grandpa and takes on a side project clearing out the shed on the ranch to help get it ready for people to stay there. Ryan is of course against this at first because she gets in the way and distracts him. But he soon realizes that he was just avoiding his true feelings toward Meg by convincing himself she’s a nuisance. Hank also seems to know the two should be together. Meg has some insecurities due to everyone saying she talks too much, but she is bubbly and sunny and compliments Ryan’s grumpiness well, he just needs to stop pushing her away and realize that. Overall it was a cozy and clean grumpy/sunshine small town romance. Looking forward to others from this author.

Finders Keepers, Cowboy (Match Made in Montana Book 1)
This is a serious slow burn romance. Lots of heat and chemistry between Ryan and Meg.
They have known each other for a long time after spending their summers together as kids and now being neighbors as adults their relationship shifts from the uptight guy and the chatty girl to friends with a common interest and that is Ryan’s grandfather Hank.
Hank is a sweet man who has a soft spot for Meg and is completely in love with her dog Colby, not that I can blame him. I think I might be in love with her too.
Ms. Campbell impressed me since I had no idea what to expect from her and this was my introduction to her. This is one of the more wholesome romance books I have read in a while and I enjoyed it. Nice refreshing change of pace, enjoyed it enough that I’m looking forward to reading the next book.

Cute romance story and state to this series. Starts with frenemies who get a chance as well as the ranch that needs some sprucing up. Although they may get on each other’s nerves and have their own motives in establishing their goals, they slowly see how good they can be for each other. Thanks to the help of a family of theirs, Ryan begins to better appreciate his company instead of just the animals. Meg starts feeling purpose in her new endeavors with a bit of support along the way. Story starts out slow as the details come together but ends up a really good read!

This was a good 4 star read. Meg is asked to clean out a shed and sell the items in her store. Ryan is annoyed that his grandfather has asked Meg for her help. These two have not gotten along for years. Of course grandfather knows best and can see there is more between them. As they spend time together things start to change. Will these two become more than frenemies? Overall I really enjoyed this story, the author does a great job with her writing. I enjoyed reading their journey. If you are looking for a new series to read, 1-click and get started today on this one. I look forward to reading more from this author and series.
Fantastic Romance! This is a good wholesome love story with all the drama that comes with it. Very likeable characters and great storyline. I recommend for all readers who like westerns, love and drama. Looking forward to reading the next book.
