This is a friendship to relationship book that I enjoyed. I think this is my favorite yet of this author’s books. I was pulled right into the story from the beginning. It was an emotional read in parts and does have a couple of triggers but you will find a great romance story. Terri wanted everything until she was attacked at college. Now she feels lost and shattered. Jet has been her friend but what will happen when he starts noticing things about her? I highly recommend this book.

Terri Murphy was the down-to-earth twin; she wasn’t prone to dramatics, or exaggeration and she’d always been proud of her ability to take care of herself. That is, until an attack on campus leaves her feeling shattered and vulnerable. With everyone else heading off for Spring Break, the only person that’s left is the only one she wants around anyway, because Terri has been in love with Jet Chang since they were both freshmen and the feeling has stuck with her through three years of college and his apparent disinterest in anything but friendship.
Hating to see his best friend so downtrodden, Jet decides to stay on campus rather than go home for Spring Break as planned and sets about trying to help Terri put herself back together and distracting her with fun-filled days out. However, when he looks away from his laptop and the career as an author he’s trying to carve out for himself, he notices things about Terri that he hadn’t before. Now, can he convince her that his sudden romantic interest has nothing to do with trying to build up her confidence after the attack?
M L Sparrow is currently the author of several full length novels, three novellas and a slew of short stories published in various anthologies. Her novella, A Tangled Web, was a finalist in the 2017 Next Generation Indie Book Awards and in the 2017 Readers’ Favorite Awards. Another novella, Red Days, was a winner in the Book Excellence Awards, Current Events category.
She will write pretty much anything that pops into her head, no matter the genre, and enjoys keeping her readers guessing as to what she will write next, though you can pretty much guarantee that there will be some degree of romance!
As well as writing, she enjoys travelling and has lived in Tokyo and Hong Kong, though she is now back in the UK with her trusty rescue dog, Nala. Her travels are a constant source of inspiration and she has an endless supply of ideas for future novels…

Loved Loved Loved it!! Flirt is Book 2 in the What Happens on Campus series by ML Sparrow and I found it to be fantastic! I was drawn to Riley and her insane drama as she tries to reason with her lost career, her new found drug addiction, her role at college, and her new and extremely unlikely relationship with Cameron. She not only puts herself in dangerous situations time and time again, but she brings all the others around her crashing down too. Although I couldn’t relate to Riley, I am more than sympathetic to Cameron and how devoted he is to keeping her safe as well as on the straight and narrow, while also finding a way to maintain the same level of love and respect for her, at the same time as watching her destroy herself. I’m crazy excited to read what comes next in this series! 5 stars!

Flirt, by M.L. Sparrow, is the second book in the What Happens on Campus series. This is a contemporary new adult/college romance which features characters introduced within the first book of the series as supporting and/or minor characters. Flirt is Riley’s story – in Player, Riley was the life of the party, all out and no holding back female. I was excited that her story was next, there just had to be more than the girl testing her limits/extremes at the start of the series. In Flirt, we get a much deeper view into her and where this story takes her, bringing in Cam and what impact he may or may not have in her life. I liked the college setting the author chose for this series. It gives us something more along with the drama and romance that is the underlying theme of this story while tackling some tough topics. At parts through the story, my heart broke for the characters. M.L. Sparrow did a great job in this story/series and look forward to reading more.

Sparrow – Review by Heather Bahm
Player (What Happens on Campus Series) by M.L. Sparrow 5 out of 5 stars Player is book one in What Happens On Campus series written by M.L. Sparrow and it the first book that I have read buy this author. Player is an adult sports romance that hits all the right spots. We get to see plenty of action on this campus. The characters are well written and are mature for their ages especially what they have been through. The plot was believable with college kids and their struggles and triumphs.
Chloe Newman accepts a scholarship to study a St. Joseph’s University after a tragic accident which leaves her tormented by guilt, she needs a fresh start so she leaves England and heads to Texas. Here she meets the schools charming quarterback on her first night. However, Parker Mitchell is a player both on and off the field.
Parker has sworn not to have a girlfriend while in school but that’s thrown out the window because he is immediately fascinated by Chloe and, after a rocky start, they manage to find a way to make their relationship work despite interference from others on campus, including Parkers jealous ex, and the ghosts that haunt Chloe’s conscience. But, the real test comes when they visit Parker’s family over Christmas break and he finds himself being pulled back into their lifestyle. Can these two move past their past and become stronger? Will Chloe forgive Parker for his mistake or will she walk away? Can these two have a happily ever after? I loved this book and can’t wait to read book two in this series….
I found Player by M.L. Sparrow more enjoyable than the last couple of NA Sport Romance books that I have read. The writing was smooth and very evenly paced. I liked that the romance wasn’t rushed and even though Chloe and Parker tried to be friends first; they both knew it wasn’t going to work. This book is the perfect world building book; most of that drama sets around the other characters to set up those books. Don’t get me wrong, Chloe and Parker did have their share of drama but they fit together so well it didn’t make too big of a mess for their relationship. Overall, I would recommend this book if you’re looking to start a new New Adult College romance series.
