Valerie Davisson has done it again! She has written another great book in the Logan McKenna Series! This is a full-length story filled with its fair share of mystery and crime, and it’s one you won’t want to miss reading. If you have never read any of the Logan McKenna Series, I recommend you go back and read in order to keep caught up and to be ready for this one.
Logan is engaged! Logan and Ben are about to start a new journey to their lives together, but she feels like she needs a place to get away and have some r&r before her big day……little does she know, that isn’t in the cards for her. Logan travels to Oregon to visit friends, and she finds much more than she could have ever anticipated! This is where the story starts to take a turn and gets really good! I mean what do you expect when there’s a dead body, mystery, suspense, friends and family?! All of this makes for a page turning story! Can Logan find the answers, catch the true suspect and solve the mystery, or will Logan fail in her mission to solve the crime that is at hand? There’s only one way to find out, and that is to get a copy of the book and read it for yourself!

This book was amazing!
Yes it is far into a series but I didn’t feel that it effected my understanding of the plot and characters.
I have really become addicted to female leads and this author is spot on in drawing you into the suspense.
I had no idea how this was going to go.
I love talent shows but now I am iffy.
Finding a dead body is where the author got me.
This is mystery and suspense hyped up too 1000%
When I tell you this had me so entertained I feel like a detective now.
I became part of this world in Oregon I cried and laughed and lost a few breathes.
I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Whisper Creek is the seventh book in the Logan McKenna Mystery series by Valerie Davisson. This, like the other books in this series, grabbed my attention from the very first page. This book can be read as a stand also, but I recommend you read this series in order. These books keep getting better and better. Logan is on the hunt again to catch a killer. This story is full of action and suspense, and it will keep you guessing right to the end. I really enjoy this series and can’t wait to read the next book.

Whisper Creek: A Logan McKenna Mystery Book 7 (Logan McKenna Series) by Valerie Davisson. Once again I found myself completely drawn in to a story by this author. I recommend reading this series in order and trust me you’ll love each one. I’m always looking for a book that has me guessing and on the edge of my seat. This book gave me that and more. I love the main character Logan she’s definitely a character you can easily connect with and root for. In fact every character is well written in this series. The storyline pulled me right in and had me hooked right to the end. Sometimes long series’s can start to fizzle out but I’m happy to say this isn’t one of them. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

Here is another author where I didn’t start at the beginning of the series and I didn’t care. This book is definitely great as a stand-alone.
Logan is a great character and she has lots of very interesting friends. During a staff talent show to kick off the new school semester, Monica, the step-mother of one of the students, is found shot and killed in the school’s chicken coop.
Thanks to a wonderful Golden Retriever the murder weapon is found and that really starts the investigation moving forward. Monica is not a very nice person so there are many people, including her step-son and husband, who have reasons to want her gone. You have to read all the way through to the end to find out who really did it.
This was definitely a page turner for me and I will be getting all of the other books in this series.

This was a wild ride of a story although I will say it had a bit of a slow start. Logan McKenna was an amazing main character. The side characters were just as developed as the main characters. The plot picked up once the crime occurred. I was completely thrown for a loop at the ending. I highly recommend reading this.

Whisper Creek: A Logan McKenna Mystery #7 (Logan McKenna Series) by Valerie Davisson

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Davisson. The Logan McKenna Series is amazing. You can read these in order or you can read them as standalones.

Logan is back to helping solve crimes. She finds a dead body in a chicken coop. When she finds out who did it she once again puts herself into danger. The quote I chose for Logan is: “I’m okay. I mean, it was awful, finding her like that, but I didn’t know her. I just met her. It’s not like discovering someone close to you.”

Highly recommended for Crime lovers.

While I was sitting here reflecting on what I just read, I realized my initial thoughts when I finished reading Whisper Creek by Valerie Davisson were the right ones. I feel like I had a love/hate relationship with Valerie Davison’s book. There were parts that were very intriguing and I wanted more, but then there were parts where I said to myself “what is going on? what does this have to do with anything?”
At the beginning we meet Logan who goes and helps out at the New School in Oregon every so often. She was the main character of our story, but not the center of it.
The center of our story was a who done it, in regards to the murder of
Monica LeGrange. A piece of work in her own right, nobody liked Monica, leaving the detectives a list of 50 people it could be.
Logan spends the story going through the ins and outs of trying to figure out who did it before the police arrest the wrong person.
I enjoyed the way the book was written! Also the character development, especially Monica, was very intriguing at times. I will say I enjoyed the unexpected twist at the end, definitely didn’t see that one coming.
In saying all that, I love forward to reading something else Valerie Davisson has written in the near future.

This is book 7 in the Logan McKenna series, but the first one I have read. Logan is visiting her house on the Oregon Coast, she heads up to The New School for her annual January trip. The New School is an eclectic private school for not just the rich. Finding that there is a staff talent show the night she arrives, she looks forward to watching to be told she would be the next to last act.
After the performance is over, she heads outside with what was the last act, an amazing golden retriever. Running off, Logan chases her and finds a dead body. All she wanted was some relaxation and time to process her new engagement and video that had gone viral. The dead body is the stepmother of one of the students at the school. She was not well liked, but who would have actually wanted her dead?
I have lived in Oregon all my life, and get so excited when I stumble upon a book that is set here. Recognizing the towns and landmarks always make me feel so much more connected to the story. This was a great read, am now going to have to go back and start at book one.

Whisper Creek: A Logan McKenna Mystery Book 7 by Valerie Davisson was a great addition to this series. Upon discovering this novel I was so interested in that I had to binge read the first six just to read this one. Our lead character Logan has so much going on in her life including a music video, a love life with Ben, friendships, and drama. When she is already worried about her relationship with Ben and so much more, extreme mystery and drama find our girl. What will our girl do when the finger points to someone she loves dear? Will Logan be able to sort out all of the pieces and find out the truth? Or will false accusations, multiple suspects, and endless motives stop her from finding out the truth? Logan McKenna is back and she is now engaged to her long term boyfriend, it is something she is still getting used to as she has depended on herself for so long, it is a hard habit to break, but she is happy and looking forward to the future, even if she isn’t sharing that news with anyone else as yet. However, she receives a phone call from her best friend telling her to go onto YouTube and look at the video she is in because apparently it has gone viral, much to Logan’s amazement, the video is a medley of her performances which has been professionally edited and when she contacts the only person she can think of who would have done it, it turns out that the amount of views it has accumulated a substantial amount of money and that part of that money will be going to her, but Logan is worried about the affect it will have on her relationship, so she heads out to a consulting job to spend a few days away with work to help her come to terms with everything and clear her head.

When she arrives at her destination, she is thrown in the deep end with an event that they are hosting the next day which Logan has been rostered to appear in, she is more than happy to oblige and the evening goes off without a hitch, that is until she goes for a late night walk with a colleagues dog who finds a dead body. Logan goes back to the event and announces whom she has found and where before calling the police to report it, everyone is shocked and as the investigation begins and statements are made, nobody knows who could have done it. As the investigation continues and the detectives bore deeper into the lives of those around the victim, more and more secrets are revealed and those closest to Logan are the ones in the spotlight, so despite her fiancé’s protests she stays on and tries to figure out who the real culprit is, as well as their motive for the killing.

Things are not going smoothly, as Logan tries to solve the mystery, but will she be able to sieve through the secrets and accusations to uncover the truth and solve it before anyone else is hurt, or will her instincts lead her astray and stop her being able to safeguard those innocents around her? This is another thrilling murder mystery which will hook you in and keep you reading as you follow the threads to untangle the crime and figure out the identity of the killer in question.

I was pleasantly surprised with Whisper Creek: A Logan McKenna Mystery (Book 7 in the series) since I have not read any of the others. This one can be a standalone, as I had no issues following the story or understanding what was going on (without any background). From the very start, we understand there is already a murder and many people that could be the possible killer. Davisson does a very good job keeping us guessing and switching up my primary suspicion on the suspect. I loved that, as the author, she kept a very neutral stance, never indicating one way or another which suspect we should favor, and left that all up to us, the readers! The scenes were well set, the characters well written, and the mystery plentiful! I will be going back to read the others in the series now, 10 out of 10!

This is one of the best purchases I’ve made for a mystery. The action sets you up from the beginning and slowly develops until you don’t realize that you are in the middle of it and you just can’t put it down. Logan gets in the middle of thins to help her friends. I loved the action. A book that can keep me pulled in with action in the story is a great story. It’s hard to stick with stories that drag. Logan and the other characters just mesh so well that the plot intertwines in such a way that you want to know who did it. I love playing sleuth. Wonderful descriptions, her details of the coast are terrific. This book is a must read!!! Highly recommend.

Whisper Creek is the 7th book in Valerie Davisson’s Logan McKenna series. I’ve enjoyed this series a lot because it centers around a strong, independent woman and each book seems to get more intriguing than the one before it. I feel this is in part to the character growth we have seen since the very beginning. While this book is better having read the ones before it, Valerie Davisson has written in a way that you could follow along regardless. Whisper Creek was an exciting addition to this series with several twists and turns that helped the story flow seamlessly.

Whisper Creek is the 7th book in the Logan McKenna series by Valerie Davisson. It can be read as a standalone book. I have read one or two others, but not the whole series. There are a lot of references to past people or events, but its not detrimental. The story is solid enough on its own, and much like a law and order episode. I loved the mystery throughout this book! From the beginning, we know there is a murder, and multiple possible suspects. Logan and her coworker friends act like detectives to help solve the mystery. The author keeps the options open, and reveals the evidence little by little. She keeps things matter of fact, without leaning toward one or another. We see possible motive, but we are left guessing “who done it.” Let me tell you, I was NOT expecting things to go the way they did. I want to read more, as there was mentions to Logan’s finance, but he was a limited character. I feel there is likely more to that in previous books. Highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys crime, mystery thrillers. It is not a scary thriller, but is action packed to the very end.

This was quite the thrilling crime read from Valerie Davisson. Something I have come to expect and love about the Logan McKenna Mystery Books. Whisper Creek is the seventh book in the series, but I would think you would be okay if you didn’t read the previous stories however, these do get better and better as they go and build on character development and storylines so I would personally recommend that you start from the beginning to get the most out of your reading experience. In this one we find Logan smack dab in the middle of another mind bending mystery and murder plot that will leave you guessing right up until the end who did it and if she will be able to come out unscathed and the ones she loves as well. Everything is going well for Logan; she is now engaged and it looks like life is on track. So, when her students and her produce a music video and it goes viral, can she still have a happily ever after.

Logan is happy in life, her personnel life is great and her career is going well until a video that her and her students make goes viral and she worries how this will affect her relationship with Ben, but as usual with everything going on she also stumbles upon a body and let’s just say it gets more complicated from there on in.

This is the seventh book in this series and this book does not disappoint, it is full of the usual twists and turns you accept from a Logan McKenna story and has you following along trying to solve the murder with Logan as her friend. I could not put this book down and accepting the story to follow one way and then suddenly driving in another way has you definitely on your toes.
This can be read as a stand-alone story but I would read this series from the start as you get to understand the dynamic between Logan and Ben and how they first started and some back history which I think helps you to enjoy the stories better. Can’t wait for the next book in this wonderful series.

I’ve never read a Valerie Davisson novel before but somehow I ended up in the middle of a series and I can’t say I regret it.

Davisson is extremely descriptive, her words are artistic and carefully chosen like poetry. She leaves no question about where you are or what the characters are seeing. Which is really neat when having multiple points of views and thoughts.

I fully believe in not spoiling mysteries so I won’t say much! I will go back and read the previous books in the series because I can tell there were a few life references I missed out on, but it was a fine read even without the background context!

Here is where the adventure starts. A dead body, mystery, suspense and family will come out in this page turning story. It’s up to Logan to find the answers, and catch the true suspect.
