Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Magical romance
Loved Carter and Vanessa’s story and had me turning the pages well after bedtime. Each of the books in this series is a worthy read and some favourite Broderick (or soon to be) characters make appearances. AJ Renee has a really great writing style that allows the reader to create their own imagery, with wonderful characterisation and world building. This was a brilliant quick-read with magic, mayhem, mystery and mates – definitely not one to miss.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cursed Touch was a great read! I’m not sure if this one was my favorite or not that I’ve read from this series so far, but it was really good! I occasionally felt lost from the story, like there wasn’t enough background or description going on. But I easily got lost in this novel and found it hard to put down. It was sweet (like most of this series) and VERY steamy. This can be read as a standalone novel but it definitely flows better and gives better background to the recurring characters if you read them in order. As usual I loved this novel and I can’t wait to read the next one!

Carter is a doctor with healing magic and Vanessa is a human. They meet each other when Vanessa is helping her neighbour to the emergency room after being bit badly by a dog. The electricity between them has them both thinking of each other non stop. Vanessa is being hunted for being too open about her questions about the supernatural. She has caught the eye of someone who wants her to be quieted for good.

If you like a series with witches, werewolves, lycans, demons and more then you will enjoy this series. I loved the characters and the possessiveness of family throughout the whole book. I protect that which is mine.

A great follow up to Cursed Love. Ethan Broderick is just trying to come to terms with his newly found powers but he can’t seem to get Serena Bishop, his high priestess, mentor and friend out of his mind. As they begin to navigate their feelings for one another it becomes apparent that Serena’s life may possibly be in danger. Renee keeps you on the edge of your seat trying to guess what is going to happen next. The characters are well rounded, the scenes are always evolving and pace is fast. I very much look forward to the next book in the series.

This is the fourth book in this series. We follow Carter who is known as the healing brother of the group. And we meet Vanessa, the small town jeweler.

This book is incredibly fast paced. I was able to finish it in one night, and to be fair I didn’t want to put it down anyways.

I cannot wait for the next in this series as there is one more brother, who is very mysterious.

I am in LOVE with this series. I loved the book before this but so far this one is my favorite.

Be warned there is a trigger warning for abuse and sexual abuse.

We follow Max Broderick, one of our beloved Broderick brothers. And very quickly his powers of talking with animals is a wonderful benefit to him. As he meets Claudia.

This book was also so hard for me to put down. It was filled with adventure, true emotions and the overwhelming feeling of love.

I truly can’t wait to read the next in the series.

This is book two in the Broderick Coven series. We follow our two main characters Ethan and Serena. Ethan is new to his powers and learning how to use them as the oracle.

He is teamed up with our lovely high priestess Serena.

It was a refreshing read to me as many books only portray women as witches and never men. With a new spin on magical reads it was one I didn’t want to put down. Even without reading the first in the series I was able to tell who was who and felt for every character. I cannot wait to read the next in this series!

Her Dark Love (Dark Spell #4)Her Dark Love by Isra Sravenheart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Her Dark Love by Isra Sravenheart is the fourth book in the Dark Spell series. This is one series that I would highly recommend reading in order so that you can get full enjoyment out of it.
I really enjoyed this book. It is an origins story as such, looking back at what is the start of Lady Isra’s journey. It is such a fast past story that you are so easily drawn into everything going on. I have enjoyed all this series so far but I do think this book is my favourite! I enjoyed going back to see where it all started and to understand more about the main character and why she is the way she is. I also have yo say that I think this book has got to be one of my all time favourite book covers. I could not stop looking at it. Even if I hadn’t got this book we the next in the series I would have picked it up based on the cover alone. A brilliant book and well worth the time.

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cursed Touch is the fourth book in the Broderick Coven series by AJ Renee. If you are new to this series I would say you could easily read this as a standalone story, but you will meet characters from previous books along the way, so starting from book one makes this even more enjoyable.

In Cursed Touch, we meet Carter and Vanessa. Carter is a Doctor, he is part of the Broderick Coven as he has healing powers. Carter meets Vanessa in the ER when she accompanies her neighbour with a ‘dog bite’. Vanessa is open-minded and curious about the supernatural world. She is sure there is more to this situation than meets the eye and she wants to learn more. When Vanessa meets Carter, the attraction is instant and he soon becomes her protector as she digs deeper into the supernatural world.

I really enjoyed this fourth addition to the series. As with the previous books, the story is full of humour, romance, and plenty of action. The characters are realistic and likeable, they keep you hooked and needing to know what happens. I finished this book wanting more and looking forward to the next book in the series.

I adore this entire series! I’ve been waiting to read this and my word it did not disappoint. I love Vanessa and Carter so much. They met by chance when she went to the ER. Carter is a doctor because of his ability and just love for healing people in general. Vanessa is a jewelry maker with a curiosity about the supernatural world. The same world that is about to take notice of her. I just enjoyed the mystery, drama, love and just the entire community in general. I so loved watching their love story play out and I just could not get enough. I can not recommend this story enough! I highly suggest reading the entire series!! You will not be disappointed! I enjoyed this shifter paranormal story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. This is part of the series Dark Spell which I highly suggest reading the previous books to help your enjoyment of this series. This is a well written story that has characters that not only bring the story to life on each page but pull you into the story from the beginning. This is a fast paced story that is engaging and kept me turning pages to the end. Lady Iris is back in another page turning story. She has not always been on the dark side but at one time she was on the light side. Now she is faced with trying to get into the light before she has to stay in the dark side the way everyone thinks she is. There are quite a few characters in this story and they all have their own uniqueness and bring something different to the story. They are connectable and truly made the story enjoyable for me. This is a great story and worth the pick up. I highly recommend this book.

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the 4th book in the Broderick Covern. These books just keep getting better with each addition. I love the mix of magic, supernatural beings and romance. The characters are well written and even the paranormal/magical elements in this story are written so well that they are believable.

In this book we follow the romance between Vanessa and Carter.

Carter is a member of the Broderick Coven. His gift is the ability to heal people which makes his job working in a hospital a perfect choice for him. Things in his life seem settled until Vanessa comes into his life.

Vanessa meets Carter when she takes her neighbour to the hospital for a “dog bite”. The attraction between them is instant but neither knows anything the other apart from the fact they have this connection and they can’t forget each other. Could Vanessa be Carter’s mate?

Vanessa is human but she knows there is more happening in the world that humans. She is aware of supernatural beings but has no proof. As she keeps searching she comes to the attention of people who want her to stop and now her life is in danger.

Can Carter protect Vanessa from the danger thats out to get her? Can Vanessa actually handle the truth of her new normal or will the revelations about supernatural beings be too much for her to take?

I loved this book and can’t wait for more.

Carter is a medical physician and a witch with healing powers. Healing Tyler after an obvious lycan bite takes a lot out of Carter. With all supernaturals coming in with problems that require his healing, Carter is beginning to notice how much it takes out of him.

She sees people vanish, people with yellow eyes and red eyes, and thinks she is going crazy. Skeptically she starts to believe in supernaturals.

Carter and Vanessa finally meet in person. A soulmate attraction can’t keep them apart. Unfortunately, Vanessa’s vocal inquiries about the strange things she is seeing puts a target on her back. Can Carter and his family discover who is after Vanessa?

GAH!!! I know I say this every time there is a new book in this series- but this is definitely my favourite…. so far- who am I kidding though, I LOVE them all!!! I don’t know how A.J Renee manages to do it, but the series really does get better and better with each new instalment.
Cursed Touch is the fourth book in the Broderick Coven Series by A.J. Renee. It is a fantastic paranormal romance with witches, magic, a touch of fate, soul mates, sizzling chemistry, danger, drama, and emotion. As with every book, I was hooked right from the beginning, reading the entire story in one sitting as the story pulled me in and kept me engrossed from beginning to end.
I love Carter and Vanessa- it was so easy to invest in them and the outcome of their story. I loved the bit of mystery and suspense that was intricately woven into the story as well. Ms. Renee certainly knows how to spin a captivating story… and she has me well and truly hooked on her work. I can’t wait for more. Bring on Book #5!

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cursed Touch, the latest in the Broderick series, follows middle brother Carter as he unexpectedly finds his mate in Vanessa Rayne, jewelry maker and business owner. Carter, blessed with the ability to heal, meets his mate when she brings her neighbour to the hospital where he is consulting in his capacity as a doctor. After saving her friend, he can’t stop thinking about her, and the fates step in to cross their paths again. The relationship is fraught with danger (obviously!) and Carter takes every step to protect her until they discover the source of the threats. Vanessa seems to be able to sense magic and magical beings unlike other humans, and the revelation of her backstory is great. Also, Renee, CAN WE PLEASE GET PETER A MATE! I love this character (leader of the Alumbra werewolf pack) and we really must see more of him. Cursed Touch follows the same narrative arc as the others in this series, so if you loved any of the other ones, you will love this one too!

I was very pleased that Max Broderick got his turn at love. He’s one of my favourite of the Broderick clan – a handsome veterinarian that can communicate with animals? What’s not to love? When he meets injured werewolf Claudia in her wolf form, he is drawn to her, and works hard to save her. After realizing that she is his mate (despite not being a witch!) he is patience personified in his steadfast love for her. She take a long time to heal, but slowly he wins her trust. Max and Claudia’s romance brings new levels of depth to this set of books, and I really enjoyed watching it unfold. We also get to explore the relationship between the Broderick witches and the Alumbra pack of werewolves, and how they have forged a bond, despite weres and witches being natural enemies. This might be the best one yet!

Cursed Sight follows the love story of Serena, high priestess of her witches coven, and Ethan Broderick, youngest brother of the Broderick clan. While mentoring Ethan’s newly developing oracle powers, Serena becomes aware of a strong attraction to him immediately. She identifies that Ethan is her mate, a powerful bond between magical beings, unlike any other. Serena is magnificent in her role as leader in the coven, a strong independent woman, who supports all of her witches to become the best they can. Ethan is young and handsome, learning to become an oracle for the group. His visions are chaotic at first, but many of them revolve around Serena being killed. Together they hunt down the person who is trying to kill her. I tore through this book in one night. Lots of action that keeps you guessing til the end, and the romance was great.

Cursed Touch is book four in the Broderick Coven series and Ms. Renee has outdone herself. Her writing per usual flows smoothly and beautifully, and her plot line flows just as wonderfully. As usual her characters are delightful and between them and her plot I was hooked from the first chapter. While this was a great read I personally think it was too short, but still an amazing read none the less. Even though this is a paranormal romance you find yourself relating to the characters and their day to day lives. Ms. Renee seems to be able to pull her readers in from chapter one and make them not want to put this book down until they have devoured it in one sitting. So if your looking for a fast and easy paranormal romance to read this weekend then I highly recommend Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee.

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven Series Book 4) by AJ Renee – Review by Lorrene Huisman

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was my first read by this author as well as a jump into the series (this is book 4) and this book was beyond words can describe of how good it was! The writing was perfectly, done and the way the words and things that happened flowed though out the story, it was impossible not feel that character connection or that feeling of holding tightly onto words wondering what would happen as the pages turned!

First off the two main characters instantly gipped me for who they were and things I did not know about them! Carter was a character that I easily could have fallen in love with in real life. He was a gifted healer more than ways of just medicine. He had a special gift to heal, and it truly made his heart flow as helping people was very much on his priority list. It made him feel whole and complete. But, perhaps there was room for more than just healing patients he met at his hospital?

Bring forward Vanessa. A delightful character with a curious mind I would say, who lands in the hospital where patients are in the care of Carter. She is there with another patient who truly had what was thought to be a dog bite. It was far from that though. She was a normal human species and did not carry any gif that was above average. Though she sold jewelry and she loved what she did for a living. Where she is from though, things are more in line with what would be paranormal. Though for the longest time it seems she did not suspect it. But, Vanessa was as curious as a modern day Alice In Wonderland…she dug for information on the odd things she had going on in her town, but perhaps some doors are left closed? Perhaps some things want to be left unknown, and those who dare to push past those boundaries will find themselves in grave danger?

Carter and Vanessa had both intrigued one another in many ways just by their meet and conversation in the hospital. Believe me I was screaming in my head for them just to go at it! Though both of them had different boundaries… Boyfriend, or work etc. But maybe the universe gives guidance or signs when we at least expect it? Perhaps the lives that enter and leave us in our life time have a bigger plan than just a random bump in? Perhaps there always has been more to it?

She learns through her findings the life she thought she knew was anything but! I could only imagine what she was going though and having a lot to progress in terms of information. In realty she learns that the person who is her closest friend for as long as she can remember, is not of a human species at all! This truly overwhelmed her and there was a lot to process, I sure would have needed some strong wine to process a lot of this information!

As things progress, Vanessa has basically put herself in the line of harm. And truth is can she be protected for the danger she had brought on herself based on her own curiosity? The caring tender touch that Carter gives her, is it enough for her to evade what could happen to her? Is there more than just a caring healer? Was she destined for something beyond her imagination? Is she truly human or something else that not even she believed to be possible in this world or even a paranormal world?

Really fast and easy read! Was a good flow of words and events and tying all ends and things together. I loved the characters I got to meet and interreact with! They were all fun and interesting in different ways. The characters alone and the ties into the truth (as I expected there was more than meets the eye) when it was in relation to Vanessa was very intriguing and I wanted answers. I was saddened when it ended as I wanted to spend more time in the story as well with the characters. Was truly enjoyable!

Loved this author’s writing and loved this book. Amazing work as well as character and story development. Highly recommend picking a copy up and reading it! Once you TOUCH this book you wont be able to put it down. Take my word for it!

Loved it truly! Amazing work again to this truly gifted author!!!
