Carter is a doctor with healing magic and Vanessa is a human. They meet each other when Vanessa is helping her neighbour to the emergency room after being bit badly by a dog. The electricity between them has them both thinking of each other non stop. Vanessa is being hunted for being too open about her questions about the supernatural. She has caught the eye of someone who wants her to be quieted for good.

If you like a series with witches, werewolves, lycans, demons and more then you will enjoy this series. I loved the characters and the possessiveness of family throughout the whole book. I protect that which is mine.
