This is a book that had me hooked from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until the final page. It is the story of a young man named Wes McCoy. He is going through his life feeling that he is judged and always compared to his older brother. He tries to take control of the one thing he can, how much he eats. When tragedy strikes this only makes his situation harder to deal with as well as his relationships with others suffer. Wes is a character that I felt empathy for, and I cared about what happens to him. The book has heartbreaking moments that I found myself with tears in my eyes. The author does a wonderful job in bringing attention to how both the person with the eating disorder feels as well as those around them trying to understand. The story is a powerful one, and I found myself thinking about it even after I had finished it. This is a book that I would encourage others to read.

This is my first book by this author, I look forward to reading more from her in the future. I enjoyed this young adult story. This was an emotional story that I could relate to being an emotional eater for many, many years. The characters brought this story to life for me. They are connectable and made the story an emotional roller coaster ride. This is a story about Wes who is nothing like his brother but when his brother dies in an accident, his life changes. This is where things really change for Wes and he turns to food for comfort. Will he take control over his life and problem before it is too late? Will he be able to repair the damage done to family and friends? Will he find himself in the process? This really is a great story that was easy to read and engaging. I highly recommend this book.
Blood of the Dragon is the fourth book in the Relic Hunters series by Martin Ferguson. It is a superb addition to the series and is my favourite of the books, so far. This is another fantastic young adult adventure- with plenty of action, thrills, drama, mystery, danger, historical details, investigation; while once again giving us a wonderfully complex and engrossing storyline. I have mentioned before, and will probably do so many more times- but this series would make a really great movie, or TV series- as well as the possibility of an exciting adventure game for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, or other gaming system. There is so much going on in this book- the author reallly upped the ante on this one, really putting the characters through the wringer. I don’t want to give anything away as I don’t want to spoil it for you. Suffice to say that this action-packed adventure kept me glued to the pages from beginning to end. I really recommend this series to anyone who loves YA, adventure, and history. Even though you could read this as a standalone, I recommend that you read the previous 3 books before starting on this one- as this is definitely a series you won’t want to miss a minute of. Looking forward to more Relic Hunters adventures!

These hunters are impressive with as many adventures we’ve accompanied them on. The historic references and battles the author and the characters bring us on, my heart is continuously pumping in and out of my chest in excitement. When the tables turn on this team, we see just how suspenseful this grips us by the hook especially when they’re hot on the trail internationally. When his crew falls around him, only Adam remains but he has to decide whether only on saving himself but his friends but in a battle to survive the fight of all fights. This one was intense, daring, exciting and enjoyable.

I give War of the Damned (Relic Hunters) by Martin Ferguson, 5 stars.
I forget just how good and engrossing these books are until I start reading another. This book follows along the same theme of hunting ancient relics but this time it is revolved around World War II. The story of the soldier in the thick of things in the past, plus the present day story of the hunters essentially trying to stop evil and bad people are what really makes this book. You have have two different stories, blended together wonderfully that could easily each stand up as separate books. The time and thought the author put into this really stands out in this exceptional book. Not to mention the research this author has evidently done to make it feel so real. I will admit, I have learned so much more about elements of this war than I ever did in history class.
The story of the past is new with all new people, but the current day story has the hunters you have come to love if you have been following the series. There are also new people we meet along their journey, both with and against the hunters. Oh, and what about those ones that got away in previous books? Well, you just have to read to find out.
While this is a great continuation of the series, it can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend it to those who like adventure with a dash of history mixed in, and some possible supernatural elements thrown in.

Relic Hunters: War of the Damned once again takes the reader on an adventure of epic proportions via everyone’s favorite relic hunting team. While their spirits have been dampened by the aftermath of the last expedition, our heroes fight on for the sake of justice and protection of the world’s lost treasures.
I enjoyed many things about this book, but there were two things that I enjoyed the most. The first is that each member of the diverse team of hunters is held in equally high regard. The way they support each other and work together has been a favorite element of mine throughout the series. The second is the way that the story switches back and forth between Adam’s team in the present and the British WW2 soldier in the past. How are they connected? You’ll have to read to find out.

I have read a couple of books from this author and he continues to blow my mind. This is the third book of the Relic Hunters series. You do have to read them in order or you will get lost. I was excited to get this book so I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. This book would make an excellent movie or tv series. I was hooked from the first page and didn’t stop until the end. It only took me a few hours to devour this addictive book.
The Relic Hunters are so excited when they are told that a U boat was found from the past. When the hunters get there they are shocked at how nice the boat is still intact. The hunters are shocked when they find out that they found some things that were stolen from Hitler a long time ago. They were thinking that this was going to be an easy job until Adam’s past came back to haunt them. Now they have to use their skills to once again get out of trouble. War Of The Damned by Martin Ferguson is the third book in the Relic Hunters series and was an incredible read! I swear, each book in this series just gets better and better, and more interesting! One of my favorite parts about this book and the series in general (minus the laughs, jokes and sass between the team) is the historical content. That added edge and perspective makes this series a super unique historical fiction read to me. I also love reading stuff about World War II, so this novel was already going to be interesting to me regardless. I can’t wait to read the fourth book in the series!

Adam and the British Museum crew are back on a new mission to discover a German U-Boat near scotland. But as usual there are others after it too. The story tracks back to the World War II when Hitler and the British soldiers were engaged in the brutal war. This book covers the horrors of the second world war and the escapade of Dunkirk. It is a very good historic fiction book with lot of action and adventure.
I love this author, I have read all his three books and wish to read more. Whenever I read his books, I am reminded of Indiana Jones and his adventures. Keep them coming.

I continued to thoroughly enjoy the world that Ferguson has put together. Although billed as a YA adventure, this book and series can be enjoyed by all ages. Fans of historic fiction will enjoy the time and place this story unfolds in. Rich in detail and packed full of action, this is a story that will captivate you from beginning to end. Loved it.

War Of The Damned by Martin Ferguson is the third book in the Relic Hunters series. Although the story itself is a stand-alone I would definitely recommend reading this series in order so you can get a full understanding of the characters involved. This book is as exciting and attention grabbing as the first two books. Possibly even more so. I love anything WWII related, I am fascinated by what was such a different time. This book pulls together a story based on that time and the present so well that I was engrossed immediately. I loved falling back in with the team – you really do connect with them throughout the whole series that it is so easy to pick back up with them in each book. This whole series is amazing and this book has got to be my favourite so far. I am looking forward to whatever comes next!

As always things aren’t as straightforward as they first appear and when they team investigate they end up with more questions than answers and find themselves in a war that they have to win to survive.

I was going through a reading slump when I started reading this but it was so easy to read and Sarah is just a really likeable and funny character! I feel like I really related to her despite being in my early 20’s.
Sarah is your average popular high school girl who cares too much about her image. However, puberty and other supernatural abilities hit her as she discovers more about the boarding school she’s at.
This story has a mix of mystery, humour, supernatural/paranormal elements and an adorable talking beaver! I think it was done really well and I can’t wait to read more from this author!
War of the Damned by Martin Ferguson is the third edition to the Relic Hunters series, and i recommend reading them in order for a full understanding of the story! I loved this book as much as the first two, if not more! Martin is an amazing author, and knows exactly where to put in the twists and turns that will keep you reading way later than you should have! I have loved Martin’s work from book one, and I recommend the entire series! I loved this book and planned on reading it, and its predecessors again!

This is the third book in this series of books and WAR OF THE DAMNED (Relic Hunters Book 3) by Martin Ferguson, is every bit as good as the first two. Besides having great characters and just a really good story what I love about these stories is the history and the skillful weaving of fiction around real facts. I haven’t read a book yet by Martin Ferguson that hasn’t inspired me to do a little research. War of the Damned delivers on the action as well as the history. Although the target audience is a much younger set than my own, I enjoy them just the same. I wish Martin Fergusson had been around when I was a teen.

I love this book because it not only has adventure but you also learn some things about history. In this third installment of the Relic Hunters Series, Adam and his teammates are exploring a WWII era Nazi U-boat. As they explore they find some things that starts them on the run to survive. This series may have been written for young adults but I have enjoyed each book and look forward for more. The action and the way Mr. Ferguson weaves in the past in book 3 really got my attention. This book starts off with Adam Hunter with his friend Duncan getting up to their old tricks in Oxfordshire and at the same time giving someone their comeuppance for short changing people and other illegal actions. Using some of the teams technology in tandem with a load of fireworks, the plan comes together and they manage to escape from the guilty parties security as well as the police, as some hidden knowledge and confessions are live streamed to the public domain. A good deed completed for a friend in a not so legal manner.
Next we join Adam back at the museum, where they have been called in, although getting around isn’t easy while the repairs are still ongoing after the last attack. Adam goes to find his brother in his sanctuary within the walls and they discuss their mum, Matt’s injury and pregnant girlfriend, where he is waylaid to go to another area of the museum to find Emma and tell her about the meeting. When Charles enters the room, all of the team are happy to see him up and about, although he isn’t at full strength, he is happy to see them too. He explains that he has to go to an inquiry into the events which had just come to pass, but that they had to go on another mission for the museum. This one involves going up to Scotland, to go and investigate a U Boat which a dredging team have found, when they get there, they find it in pristine condition, but also the appearance of a battle being fought inside, this is as well as a mysterious relic and a team of mercenaries.
This relic is about to lead them on a chase through Europe to uncover a hidden past and all the while trying to outwit and track the mercenaries on their tails, but there are going to be more than mercenaries to contend with, as ghosts of both Europe and the teams pasts are going to become real and present concerns. These ghosts are unrelenting and hidden in the darkest tunnels, beneath a seemingly inconspicuous area of Germany, the trail they are following is one of the most well known mysteries of the Second World War and they will need all their skills and teamwork to follow it until the end, but whether that will be one of light or darkness, only the damned know.
This next installment of the Relic Hunters story is just as gripping and full of fast paced action as the last ones and definitely not one to miss.

I loved reading the book Blood of the Dragon (Relic Hunters Book 4) by Martin Ferguson. It is a story that includes action, danger, evil, and amazing characters. This book finds Adam and the Relic Hunters at the former home of Vlad the Impaler. Once their journey begins, they find themselves up against evil and darkness. What does the future hold for Adam and the Relic Hunters? Will they survive? Read this book to find out. This story had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I have grown to care about what happens to Adam and the Relic Hunters with each book that I read. They are a group that works together and cares about each other. Each one would do anything to help each other out. Then some work against them. They have an agenda, and it doesn’t include being caught or stopped. This book includes mystery, suspense, and thrills. I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the final page. The author knows how to make the story and the characters come to life. Don’t miss out on an exciting and entertaining story that will have you hooked from the very beginning. I highly recommend reading it.

This is the fourth book in this series. I enjoyed it just as much as the previous three. I have liked this series from the beginning. It is fast paced and engaging and this book is no different. It is a well developed story that has characters that are connectable and make the story entertaining. I had no problems connecting with them as they made the story realistic and easy to read. Adam and his friends find themselves in another adventure of a fight for their lives. What will happen when they realize that they are the hunted and not the hunters? What happens to Adam and the other Hunter Relics I highly recommend reading this book. I really enjoyed the adventure they took me on. I had a hard time putting this book down with all the action happening. A great young adult book that anyone would enjoy.

This is the first book that I have read from this author and she now has a new fan. I love a good sports romance but this author exceeded all my expectations. This is the first book of the college sports romance series. When I got this book I could not put it down. The characters make you addicted to their story. I didn’t stop until the end and now I want more. It only took me a few hours to devour this incredible book.
Tessa Parker is starting her college year and she wants to get her education and get out. She loves being the librarian at her school library. Tessa keeps running into this hot guy, Jordan Davis. He is the star basketball player and womanizer of the school. Tessa tries to stay away but he asks her to help him because underneath all the fame he is really smart. She gets to know him and she quickly realizes she is falling for him. Tessa doesn’t know if she can survive in his world and do they want her in his world? YA (young adult) genre is an up and coming genre Martin Ferguson has become one of my favorite authors of this genre. He takes history and brings it to the future. His storyline gives hope that the readers may enjoy reading about one historical artifact will make them seek out more about that artifact. In this book, the past has caught up to the present, but what will Adam and his friends do to stay alive? Will they have to fight the past to get out of the present situation? I highly recommend this book for a great read.

This is the third in the Relic Hunters series from Martin Ferguson, and it will keep you on the edge of your seat just as much as the ones prior. I really enjoy these novels even though they are geared towards young adults, but honestly it’s just a bonus because the content is something I can share with my teenage daughter and I don’t have to worry about it. I love the way Ferguson can pull you in with his historical fiction. It is a perfect combination of fact and fiction that you are never bored and it is a breeze to read. This time the Relic Hunters find themselves on a mission after a German U boat is discovered in Scotland, weird right? They soon find out they are not the only ones on the case and danger factors rise. I was completely sucked in to this book and I just couldn’t put it down. I ended up reading it well into the night because I had to know what was going to happen to the team. I was not disappointed one bit in the sleep I missed out on. I look forward to seeing what the team will encounter next!

WAR OF THE DAMNED (Relic Hunters Book 3) by Martin Ferguson is a YA adventure but even at my age, 58, I am enjoying this series that is action packed with twist and turns. Adam and the crew are back and the new mission is the discovery of a German U-Boat in Scotland of all places but they aren’t the only ones on a mission. In true Martin style he is able to seamlessly weave fact, fiction and history which gives the story that little bit more and come to life. I enjoy Martins writing style and how the story flows nicely. I’ve said it before but if you like the movie/tv series The Librarian and the like you will love this.

4 Star Shattered Snow (The Mirror Chronicles Book 1) by Rachel Huffmire is a retelling of the classic Snow White. I loved this book and had a hard time putting it down once I started reading. I found myself lost in the pages. This authors style of writing will hook you from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. Her characters are fun and easily relate. This is a fantasy/ time travel. In this version we have Keltson aka the mirror. He uses his looking glass to save people he thinks needs happier endings. But what will happen when he sees Margaretha biting into a poisonous apple? What sill happen with history ? Can he change people’s fate? Find out what happens next in this must read. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

What happens when you are the one who is always in the background but then you fall for the rising star in the basketball team?
Jordan is the basketball star who can have anything he wants but when he sees Tessa something happens that he can’t be without her. Tessa is not one for the limelight but with her attraction to Jordan is unmistakable, can this relationship start or last.
This is a young adult contemporary love story and at first I thought it was going to be the same formula of sport superstar falling in love with the small timid girl who is always in the background, but this story also had more substance and the chemistry between these two characters was brilliant.
I enjoyed the conversations these two characters had and that there was more than just romance are the driving for to their relationship. This is the first book I have read by this author and would love to read more books in the future, it’s great to read books were the characters and story are well developed and engaging.

Breaking Tessa by T. Christensen is a college sports romance. I should add that though I wasn’t expecting it, this book ends on a cliffhanger but is still totally worth reading! I know a lot of people don’t like cliff hangers but do not pass up this book!!
Tess is very much a stay out of the spotlight kind of girl. She doesn’t go looking for the attention. She stays in the background. Jordan is completely the opposite as the star of the basketball team. The first time Tessa sees Jordan, she can’t take her eyes off of him. Jordan notices but still goes on his way until they run into each other again. Tessa tried but she couldn’t resist him. They definitely have a connection that is more than just mutual attraction but they come from very different worlds. Will these two be able to make a relationship work or are they just too different?
I couldn’t put this book down! I’m pretty sure I finished it in a day. I felt for Tessa. She felt out of her depth with Jordan but she really cared about him. There were some pretty emotional parts in this book and I could feel everything. It’s very well written and I cannot wait for the next book!

Shattered Snow by Rachel Huffmire is the first book in the Mirror Chronicles series and it was an incredible read! This was a very interesting take on the classic fairy tale of Snow White, with an added historical time travel twist that made for a very intriguing novel. Once I started reading I didn’t want to put this book down, it was that good! The characters are amazing, and super complex. The storyline was great, but can also get a little confusing due to the time travel involved throughout the story. I completely fell in love with this book and I can’t wait to read the second installment! This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I hope to read more in the future. I highly recommend this one!

Breaking Tessa: A College Sport Romance by T. Christensen was a great 5 star read. I was excited to read this book, once I started I didn’t want to put it down.
I really liked Jordan and Tessa. Tessa likes to keep to herself but when she meets Jordan things change. Jordan is a basketball start that gets everyone’s attention. But when Tessa gets his attention it’s game on. This is a great opposites attract sports romance. They of course have a not so easy path to true love. All of the characters were great but I didn’t care too much for his mother.
Will these two get a HEA?
Overall this was a great read and I look forward to reading more from this author. 1-click and get started today on this great read.
