I enjoyed this fantasy story. This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite of hers yet. She writes with an imagination that brings the story to life. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the beginning and was engaged to the end. Mielitta is the Queen of The Warrior Bees, she is faced with breaking the barrier between Forest and Citadel. She has her hopes set on one man. Mage is leading a double life but will he be able to stay loyal to Mielitta? He finds himself facing deceit and doing things that make him doubt himself and values. I enjoyed them and the other characters that make up this story. They made it interesting and had me turning pages fast. Find out what happens with Mielitta and Mage, I highly recommend this book.

I know the reason I was so excited about this book is because the first was so good. I also felt like I knew Leda and grew up with her. This book did not let me down. I was thrown into that age the second I picked up this book. I remember everything being so “much” and Gaia nailed it. In love, out of love, crushes, how you feel like you should look, how you actually look. This was a great book. ** if you have triggers for aggressive sexual situations please be aware this book has a specific area you may not be comfortable with. ** I’m honestly excited to see what Leda gets herself into next and can’t wait to find out!

An author who was not afraid to discuss what topics are on teen’s mind. Gaia Amman is an amazing author who tackled a topic that most people shy away from. The story moves along and I was turning the pages just as fast to see what was coming.. The story takes place in Italy. Leda is a young adult who is thinking about going all the way with Nico. Nico is the bad boy (who doesn’t fall for the bad boy). This is a hot topic among young adults. I love the way the story talks about young adults and their emotions. I highly recommend this book to young adults and to others just to enjoy the emotions of the young adult and the difficult times that come with that age.

The story Arrows Tipped with Honey (Natural Forces Book 2) by Jean Gill is a wonderful tale to read. It pulls you in from the start and doesn’t let you go until the final page. It is a story in which the author does an amazing job of building a world that is both interesting and intriguing. I loved reading about the characters of Mielitta, Queen of the Warrior Bees, and Mage Smith Kemon. Mage Smith Kemon is leading a double life both in remaining loyal to Mielitta and as a spy at the Citadel. He has a lot of doubts and inner conflicts. He is always facing danger and the possibility of discovery. Mielitta has her gifted friends and beloved bees. There also other characters that are part of the council at the Citadel who are devious and are looking out for themselves and their way of life. This is a story that includes magic and discovery. Don’t miss out on an amazing story that is entertaining and kept me turning pages to find out what happens next. It is a story that I would recommend reading.

Amman is a Young Adult story- and is a real, raw, and honest account of our girl Leda’s “first time”. We’ve followed Leda through the previous books/stories, and have been there every step of the way as she traverses transitioning from childhood and into a young adult. This picks up where book three left off, so even though this story could be read as a standalone if you wanted- I highly recommend reading the previous books too, so you have all the backstory and character information- as that will greatly enhance your enjoyment of this story. This book is full of angst, drama, emotions, high school life, Italy in the 90’s, culture, peer pressure, family expectations, responsibility, insecurity, sex, humour, banter, antics, and a few shocking scenes. Leda is a great character- a bit of a tomboy, and here her life gets even more complicated than she had expected. The series is a fictionalized memoir of the author’s younger years, set against the backdrop of Italy in the 1990’s. I have enjoyed this series and following Leda on her “adventure”- although there were times the character/s really frustrated me with what was going on- I have enjoyed the journey.

Sex-O-S is the second novel in the Italian Teens series, part of Gaia B. Amman’s Italian Saga. The saga follows Leda, a young Italian woman, as she grows up. In Sex-O-S, Leda is in her mid-teens. The boys she’s dating (in particular, the seemingly ever-present Nico) want to have sex. She’s not sure she’s ready. With conflicting advice from her friends, the church, her family and everyone else who seems to want to butt into her love life, Leda struggles to make the right decisions and to trust her judgement. There are some darker moments in this book, particularly relating to sexual abuse. These are handled sensitively, from the perspective of a young Leda coming to understand why people (especially Nico) behave in the way they do. I really enjoy all the characters and places that become familiar over the course of the series. Leda’s summer routine, visiting her grandmother, feels particularly nostalgic to me by this stage! The Italian settings are wonderful to get to know, like going on holiday to the same place again and again. For me, this is a four-star book. I’d recommend it to older teens and young adults – it’s not unlike Adrian Mole but with an Italian girl! I’ve read the books in slightly the wrong order – it’s still perfectly easy to follow the story as Amman reminds us of any important information and backstory as it comes up. That said, once I’m finished I will probably reread them in order!

They are both wondering if they are ready for the next big step in their relationships or should they wait? This story deals with all the hormones teenagers go thru during the teenage years and the bonds of friendship! Its such a great book!

This is a young adult story that deals with real teen issues. This is a well written story that kept me turning pages to the end. It is a fast paced, engaging story that I read in one sitting. In this book Leda is in love with Nico who is a bad boy. Is she ready to trust him but the question remains that if she isn’t ready will he wait for her? Can she really change him? This author did a great job of depicting real life teenage problems that they face. The characters go through alot and I enjoyed watching them grow throughout the book. They are serious but they bring humor to the story too. I highly recommend this book and this author.

It is a story that had me interested right from the start and I found myself not wanting to put it down. It is the story of Leda. It is the 1990’s in Italy. Leda is in high school and like other teenage girls has thoughts about boys and if she should hold off until marriage. Leda has so many thoughts and emotions going on in her head. What does the future hold for her? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down with Leda’s. I like Leda and you can’t help but want her to be happy. Teenage years can be very tough and when hormones and emotions are involved life can become complicated. I also enjoyed many of the additional characters that interact with Leda. Some are true friends to her and then others that make me wonder what they are truly about. The story is written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with Leda. Heartbreaking moments, confusion, and honesty are all part of this tale. It is a book I would recommend reading.

A Study in Spirits: A College Fae magic series #2 by Byrd Nash. Some times I have a hard time getting into a fantasy type story unless I’m really wanting one but I had absolutely no problem diving right into this one. The author did a wonderful job of writing a story that draws you in. This group of characters really know how to keep you hooked. There’s twist and turns I wasn’t expecting and loved every bit of. While on the shorter side it still packs a punch and had me happily lost in the pages well into the night. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything, with characters you won’t soon forget. I’m so excited to see where this author takes readers next. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

P.A.W.S. by Debbie Manber Kupfer is an excellent little book. A good book for a young adult to read. It’s about belonging about finding your tribe. Mary spends many years as the odd man out. When she enters a new world and finds her people she finally learns what family is all about. Great story, with great characters. I think I will be remembering this author because I want a little more.

I enjoyed this book by Byrd Nash. It was about friendship and how friends will stand together to overcome a major problem. This paranormal book was a joy to read. It had drama, suspense and also a few laughs. I enjoyed the story told by Byrd Nash and I look forward to reading more from her.

This was a really good book. Debbie Manber Kupfer added a bit of a twist to the usual shifter genre and I liked it. This novel had a few twists and turns which made for a very interesting read. I loved following the story of Miri as she learned about her heritage and also found love. Debbie Manber Kupfer is a talented author and I look forward to reading more from her.

I enjoyed this book. I do feel that this is more appropriate for young adults/teens than adults but it was still a very enjoyable read full of magic. I liked the main character Miri a lot. She always felt different from others and I loved the feeling she got when she transformed for the first time, it made her feel more like herself. In this story there is friendship, growth, danger, adventure, history and more. This book draws you in and keeps you entertained needing to know what’s going to happen. There are many different characters in this book, some you will love and some you will loath. I recommend this book.

P. A. W. S. is the first book in the P. A. W. S. Saga series. This is my first read by this author and it was a good experience. While I don’t usually read YA, this book was entertaining. There were a couple of references that would make this book questionable for anyone under the age of 16. I enjoyed the author’s unique touches on the supernatural and the world building was excellent. Overall, while this book was fairly tame for me, I think it would be a good read for the younger crowd. A teen would most likely relate well to the main character who feels out of place in the world and who is learning about who she is.

A Study in Spirits is the second book in the College Fae Series by Byrd Nash. Although I didn’t read the first book in this series, I had no problem jumping right into this story. I enjoyed this book so much, I will be going back and reading the first book. This book was filled with magic, mystery and adventure. The world building was great and the characters were well developed. Brigit, Logan and the rest of the gang took me on a wonderful adventure that I couldn’t put down until I read the last page. A Study in Spirits: A College Fae Magic Series #2 was an interesting read. When Brigit, a fae princess, is accused of stealing the answers to a test and she sets out to clear her name. However, in the process of uncovering who really did it they start to uncover some mysterious goings on within the college library. The group of friends must utilise their special skills to uncover the truth and stop all the knowledge being removed from existence. This book is perfect for those who enjoy a good fantasy novel, the group of characters work well together and have a strong bond, when new girl Emma joins them, she seems to find her place. The supporting characters are also quite interesting, I hope to find out more about them in the next book.

The intrigue and mystery of this one will catch you by your bootstraps and keep you hooked from the beginning. Miri’s grandma has passed but she died with a secret. I do sometimes read YA novels but they are usually of the romance type so when I saw the blurb for this one I was intrigued, it sounded like it might be a different kind of read and it absolutely was. It was such a powerful read and the author explored so many different situations/topics that can affect young adults and coming of age. I was really impressed by the authors writing, the flow of the story was really good and my interest was kept from beginning to end. I really felt for Anne, she had so much to overcome in her life, there were moments when my heart broke for her. There was a danger the author could have fallen into a stereotypical story with some of the things the character went through but I felt she really planned and thought about the path in which her characters would take. Anne was in my opinion a well written, powerful and emotional read and one that I would highly recommend!

I will admit, I was recommended this book by the author a couple years ago as something I may like in an event, purchased it, then unfortunately forgot about. My TBR list is huge and I can stop buying. Anyway, I finally got the opportunity to read it and I can’t believe I waited so long. I would say this is a teen book, but as an adult, I enjoyed it immensely. As a cat lover, this is what drew me in and I really like Miri as a main character. She feels alone and not quite understood, but she learns more about herself and steps up when she needs to. It does have a feel of being inspired by the Harry Potter books, but the author makes it her own in the types of characters and the world she creates. There are so many other characters I am dying to learn more of as the series goes on. Then there is the story itself. Miri feels like an outcast and all alone. Most people, especially teenagers, can relate to this. She is finally able to find a place she feels more comfortable, but events happen that do not make it as easy as it seems.
If you like a world of magic and fantastic creatures and people in a young adult/teenage age group, this book is for you.

I absolutely loved reading this one and I don’t care that it’s for young adults because at 32, I love a good read and this was definitely that. We follow Brigit in college but she has to do something to prove her innocence and she’s totally bad-ass at doing it as she does things her way. Someone has falsely accused her of doing detest actions that don’t fit her character and she’s out to clear her name to the university. Even worse, as a fairy, she owes a debt to her doppleganger as she has to unravel what’s leering in the library. Whatever it is, it’s haunting the books she loves which is all the ammunition she needs to put an end to this thing’s reign of terror. Since the administration at the university, Brigit and her friends will do what they must to put an end to it. Brigit’s friends have unique gifts of their own to unravel the mysteries before them which makes this book juicier. Logan can recognize the truth within the blink of an eye and gamer girl Emma may know more than she’s letting on. The ghosts of the school are even on the side of the good but the evil force may be way more powerful than they initially thought.

P.A.W.S. (The P.A.W.S. Saga Book 1) by Debbie Manber Kupfer is a YA paranormal fantasy story that will delight its targeted audience. The story is about shape shifters of all kinds and there is magic and secrets, danger and violence, and lots of drama and adventure as we journey along with a young woman who finally finds where she belongs and the magic inside her. But there is a darkness that threatens all that. It will be interesting to see where Debbie takes us next as the story is open to many possibilities.

This is my first read by this but I can definitely tell you it won’t be my last. This is a supernatural/ YA/Fantasy book that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down.Miri receives a silver cat charm ,it has more power than what she realizes .She finds herself on a mysterious journey that has some surprises along the way. Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

A Study in Spirits by Byrd Nash is the second book in A College Fae Magic series. The author says there will be four books in the series, one for each year of school. This is a fairly short, quick read but the author accomplishes a lot in those pages. In this book Brigit has been accused of stealing answers and vandalism. With her friends she must clear her name or be expelled from school. I enjoyed the characters of Brigit and Logan as well as the secondary characters in the story. This is a nice get away from the day to day isolation from being at home giving out a bit of magic to all of us. I look forward to reading more in this series.

A Study in Spirits (College Fae book #2) by Byrd Nash. This is the second book in this series and I think it’s even better than the first. I’m not a huge fantasy fan but these books are the exception. I loved the first one and I believe I loved this one even more. Its the continuing story of Brigit who is a student at Leopold Otto University and if she wants to continue to be a student there she needs to prove that she is not the person stealing & changing test results. With her friend Logan and his ability to recognize the truth and their new friend Emma who may hold the key to the whole mystery they are determined to find solve this. This monster is destroying Brigit’s much loved books and she is determined to stop it not only to prove herself not guilty but to catch this horrible culprit. We meet some new friends as well in this book and they definitely add to the story. Will these monsters prove to difficult to stop or will Brigit and Logan be able to stop them before its too late? P.A.W.S. (The P.A.W.S. Saga, Book 1) by Debbie Manber Kupfer was a great fantasy read.I loved the world building and history that was introduced throughout the book. The story moves through different points of view which really helps the development of the story. I found it kept my attention more so than just pages of history and world building. Miri was such a young character and I found her adorable and I had a feeling of over protectiveness.

P.A.W.S is the first book in the P.A.W.S Saga series by Debbie Manber Kupfer. It is a wonderful YA paranormal fantasy, with shapeshifters, werewolves, secrets, magic, adventure, danger, violence, drama, and a sprinkle of romance. This is a journey of self-discovery, finding where you belong, friendship, and more. This is my first read from Debbie Manber Kupfer- and I am happy I stumbled on this cute story. There was a lot to love about the book. It does have a bit of a Harry Potter-esque feel to the story, and like Harry our MC is a bit of a lonely misfit- until she finds where she ‘belongs’. Miri’s life turns upside down when her grandmother dies, and she is shipped off to boarding school. But little does she know that this will be the start of a great adventure. From being a bit of an outcast, Miri discovers the ‘family secret’ and begins her journey to her true self. But danger is stalking her with sinister intent. What happens from here, makes for a captivating read. Now- on to Book #2!
