First Kill by Mary Abshire – Review by Jenni Bishop

First Kill (Heaven Sent #1)First Kill by Mary Abshire
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The death of one of her best friends is enough for Emily to decide to walk away. She has had enough of her life and the torture her parents have put her through. Being second fiddle to a younger sister and watching someone she loved slowly kill herself has finally taken it’s toll. Leaving Troy her best friend in the world, will be the hardest thing to do but she knows he will be there for her whenever or wherever no matter what.

Whilst heading out of town she stumbles across a naked man in the middle of the road. Emily decides to help him, Andrew, out but can she trust him? The story he tells of an Angel sent back to earth for having too many relations with women and having to kill Demons as penance, is so far fetched he is either a lunatic or a very good liar.

I actually loved this book and the characters. They were really well written and the story drew you along for the ride. I love a story that has the character tell their side of the story. I went through a roller coaster of emotions which proves to me that Mary is a very talented writer. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
