Gold Digger: A Whisky's NovelGold Digger: A Whisky’s Novel by R.B. Hilliard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Gold Digger is the second book in the Whisky’s series by R.B Hilliard. This is a great contemporary romance that had me hooked from the first chapter. A story where opposites attract, and sparks fly. I flew though this book in a couple of hours, then went back to one click the first book to read as well, because I didn’t immediately realise that this is the second book in the series. Although, you could definitely read it as a standalone if you wanted to. But, like me, you may get to the end and have to know more about the other characters in the book, too. This is a sexy, romantic, fun read. I loved the characters and enjoyed their dynamic in the story. Each character is a really well-developed individual, with their own unique personalities, traits and quirks. They were really well crafted, and I couldn’t help but invest in them and their story.
Hadley Jacobs dreams of owning her own bakery. She is passionate about baking and is very close to completing her culinary degree. She thinks she has it all figured out, but gets a bit of a curve ball with a hook-up at a wedding. Things will never be the same.
Blake Moreno is a successful businessman, and military veteran. He’s a sexy, controlling, alpha-type who has a reputation for being a ladies man. He doesn’t do relationships- so he isn’t expecting a hook-up to turn his life upside down.
I really enjoyed Hadley and Blake’s story and I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Thank you, R.B Hilliard!
