The Dead of Winter (Seasons of Jefferson Series Book #2) by Julie Solano & Tracy Justice – Review by Angela Hayes

The Dead of Winter (Seasons of Jefferson, #2)The Dead of Winter by Julie Solano
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

‘The Dead of Winter’ is the second book in the Seasons of Jefferson Series by Julie Solano and Tracy Justice. This book continues on from the events in ‘When Fall Breaks’ (Book #1) and really needs to be read after the first book to really get all the relevant details, character information and an understanding of the storyline, so you can have the best possible reading experience of this book. The story has drama, heartache, intrigue, difficult circumstances, tested relationship/s, and more. I enjoyed the first book and dived right into this one as soon as I had finished it. I had some expectations for this story and I am pleased to say that this book is every bit as good as the first.
This story takes a look at true to life characters dealing with real issues and situations- which makes the story realistic, believable and entirely relatable. This is definitely not a fluffy, hearts and flowers read- this story is raw and intense in parts. These characters were all really well developed and interesting. There was edge of my seat moments, emotional scenes, highs and lows, twists and surprising developments. It is told from several points of view, which added an extra element of interest for me. The story has a great pace and is a smooth and easy read. A great second instalment in the series- now for book #3.

Thank You, Ms. Solano and Ms. Justice!
