Georgia Clay (Southern Promises #1) by K.G. Fletcher
5 out of 5 stars
Georgia Clay is the first book in a Southern Promises series written by K.G. Fletcher and it’s the first book that I read by this author and it won’t be the last. I enjoyed her writing style as it is easy flowing and creative. The character are amazing, well written and I loved their banter with each other this made them feel more real. The storyline felt real.
We get to read about second chances Clay and Katie meet up after 10 years at their class reunion where they spend the night in the bed of his pickup truck talking all night. What happens when they get reacquainted?
Georgia Clay is a handsome, award-winning songwriter rubbing elbows with the elite stars of country music. An incredible talent in his own right, Clay has always hesitated to step into the spotlight on his own for fear his debilitating childhood secret will rear its ugly head.
Katie Parker is a workaholic Southern beauty who’s first love is her career. It’s not just her knowledge of the cut-throat insurance business she has skillfully navigated over the years, but her tenacity and gumption in climbing the corporate ladder.
As they forge ahead in a passionate long-distance relationship, can Clay admit to Katie she had his heart a long, long time ago? Will her drive and encouragement finally be the reason Georgia Clay takes a chance on his career…and love?
I highly recommend this book and look forward to more of Ms. Fletchers work..
