I am a very family oriented person and a firm believer that family is what you make of it, some of the closest families aren’t blood relatives at all.
I was already drawn to Jesse knowing it was the third book in Desiree Lafawn’s Glass Hearts Series but after reading the synopsis I was completely sold.
Jesse is a book that intrigued me from the very beginning with a touch of drama but really kept hold of me with its wholesomeness. I was really hooked from the moment Jesse and Harlow crossed paths. I truly loved both Jesse and Harlow and the uniqueness of these characters. So often (I think) the single mother in a romance is portrayed as a damsel in distress and we don’t see very many sensitive men so it was refreshing to have such relatable characters that were more “outside of the box”.
Overall Jesse is a sweet romance that touches upon families in more ways than one with the perfect amount of twists, turns and smiles along the way. Despite being part of the Glass Hearts Series Jesse reads really well as a stand alone. I am someone that gets excited when I’m reunited with characters from past stories so I recommend reading the whole series because they really are great books but you definitely don’t have to in order to love this one.
