This is the first book I’ve read by this author (under either name) and I was expecting a cliche “flimsy” sports romance. It exceeded my expectations to such a level that I will gifting a copy to a dear friend of mine (book nerds unite!).

I enjoyed everything about this book. It was well thought out, never rushed to get to a scene. It has a strong beginning, middle and end and I appreciated the epilogue.

The characters were dimensional and human. The book was written in such a way that sometimes I was expecting a right turn and it took a left. It held my interest from beginning to end.

This book was NOT a Hail Mary pass. It was a well practiced “play” (football analogy that I hope I used correctly).

I absolutely recommend this book.
