My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I give Truly Unfortunate (Welcome To Knollville Book 1) by C.A. King, 5 stars.

Truly has no memories of her childhood. Her doctors think she is repressing some horrible memories. All she knows is that she can’t catch a break. When people she knows starts dying, she doesn’t know what to think.

Jeff is a cop in Knoll County, a position he’s wanted since he was a child. He tends to think outside the box, which gets him in trouble with his boss. When a group of accidents happen, he is convinced there is more going on. Is it his imagination or is there really something sinister happening?

I have read and enjoyed this author before, but I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book because it seems so different than what she has done before. I absolutely loved it! The characters were great, you really feel for Truly and you can understand where Jeff is coming from too. The story is great too, there are quite a few surprises that you will never see coming. I love to be shocked just when I think i have it all figured out.

This is a suspense with a paranormal twist and I highly recommend it to every adult!
