A Second Chance by Brooke May is the first book in the Powder River Pack series. It is a great story about fighting for what you want or learning to live with the hole it leaves behind.
This is a new author to me and I was excited to get into this book. The blurb promised an angsty tale and that is definitely what you get. I was drawn into Derek so easily. It was so easy to feel what he was going through. And it was easy to understands Annabelle’s decision over her new life and her old.
The story had good pace that flowed from start to end. There was never a point where my attention wandered or I thought there was too much going on. An enjoyable book, I am looking forward to the rest of the series.
