Forgetting Ophelia by Julie C. Gardner

5-stars

Ophelia aka Lia has a birthday and anniversary coming up. They just so happen to be on the same day and she is looking forward to finally taking a honeymoon with her husband. What she doesn’t expect is that he walks out on her. Out of the blue just leaves. Her world is turned upside down and she starts to look at what she thought was a perfect marriage differently.

This was an amazing novel of self discovery, heart break, romance, and growth. Lia discovers who she really is in this novel and embraces her independence after her world is shattered. She was such a strong character that I couldn’t help but admire her. I also loved how well the novel flowed and kept my attention.
