I give Awakening Of A Soul Keeper: Prequel To The Soul Keeper Series by Brienne Dubh, 4 stars.

Theodora’s husband just got a wonderful advancement in his career, working for an infamous man. So they go to a club to party and celebrate. And that is where it all goes wrong. She’s starts feeling things she has never felt before. Then she is told things she cannot fathom. Her husband’s boss is not human but a soulless vampire. And she is supposedly his soul keeper. This is all too crazy to be true, right?

This seems like a good introduction to a new series. I cannot wait to see where the next book leads us. I do like both Theodora and Lyzander. They are both very strong characters each themselves, but they are forced to be together. This is a new take on vampires, who, let’s face it, have flooded the book industry. I very much enjoyed this aspect to it. The action in the story too is pretty good. You are thrown into it after a brief introduction to Theodora and it does not really stop. Not to mention a few surprises thrown in for good measure.

I thoroughly enjoyed this supernatural book and cannot wait to see where this story will go next.
