My Rating: 5 of 5 stars
Rainy Day Lovers (The Rocklyns Book 3) by Alicia Street was an addicting read that had me hooked from start to finish.
Right out of the gate I was drawn in by this pair. It was obvious that Raina was a special kind of person, from the moment we not only meet her but when she meets Roman. The opening scene not only set the stage, but also set in motion a serendipitous moment for these two lovers.
Rain really stole the show, she was a no BS person and called Roman out on his hot and coldness right from the start. She wasn’t going to let misunderstandings or anything else stand in her way. Though I will say there was a few times I wanted to slap both of them. The plot was fast moving, but I felt their connection, and for me, nothing felt forced or awkward.
Roman was a sweet character, and I loved the split POV letting us see inside his head and his insecurities. It added that much needed layer, rounding out an already solid plot and story. What I also loved was how even though Roman had so much success, he has this imposter syndrome playing in the background. It made his character real and grounded. Going through what he did, isn’t something you just get over, so having that flaw in his perfect persona, was that special something that made me connect with him.
Overall this story is a solid read and it gets a super high recommendation from me. So please take my stamp of approval, that you will get lost in this emotional read and be left wanting more.
Happy Reading
