The Memory of Us by Lisa Sorbe

Five Stars

I connected with the characters of this book on so many levels. The author truly knew how to draw the emotions out of each character. There was some great wisdom being shared through the pages. Laney is a tough woman and Lord she loves lists. West is more than he seems. You really need a shot to drink after reading this. It just takes you to this place that you just have to feel. I am one of those people who hides from emotions and I would rather hold it in and forget about it. Crying always seems like a waste. The emotional indifference was a way to protect against all pain. I really enjoyed this story. It was a little long but you get a lot of details and follow Laney on her journey to love and acceptance.
