Broken Pieces by Judith B. Pinkard is a biographical novel based on real life events. I was so drawn into this book, I couldn’t put it down. While it was heartbreaking (even more so because it’s based on real life events), it had some heartwarming moments that gave you hope.
This book really gives you hope and makes you realize you can overcome just about any obstacle with a little faith, love and determination to push through. I felt like I couldn’t keep my feelings in check because they were all over the place reading this book. I was glad I chose to read this book. It is such an inspiring book that was really great to read!

A person could disappear here is an incredibly captivating mystery thriller that is engaging and you are totally unable to put this read down. Terri George has created a read that is well written, has an incredible plot and even better characters. I can’t believe that this is the only time I have ever heard of this author, after reading how brilliant this book is Terri George will most defiantly become one of my go-to authors. This book is one of those books where giving away just a simple part in a review could ruin the whole book, this is a book you want to spend your time letting it sink in, that will leave you on the edge of seat and keep you turning the pages until the very end, and even then its a book that sticks with you a while after you’ve read it. This is an emotional read, that raw and really makes you stop and think.
This is a book that should not be missed! It will have you hooked from the very start right until the very end, not wanting to put it down! Don’t miss this read.

A Person Could Disappear Here by Terri George is a gripping and intense novel. It is the kind of book that will have you on the edge of your seat the whole way through. You will find yourself guessing and then second guessing what might be about to happen and you would still be wrong. This author is brilliant. They way they have written this boom makes it so realistic. It feels like you are there for the whole journey, right alongside the characters. You can feel how raw the emotions are in each and every page. As the first book that I have read by this author I have to say it was a mind blowing way to be introduced to their work. An absolutely amazing book and one I can’t recommend enough.

Bedlam is the first of the Twisted Hearts Love Story series by Autumn Sand. This story promises it all; danger, deception and a forbidden love affair. If this doesn’t make you want to jump straight into the book, I don’t know what will. While I love a romantic thriller, I’m not always one for the darker reads. Something about Bedlam had me hooked before I’d even started and I’m so pleased it did. This was an exciting and addictive read that I cannot recommend enough.
From the very beginning of Bedlam we learn everything is not as it seems in Anaya’s life. While it might appear she has the perfect set-up, nice apartment, designer clothes, this is far from the truth. Her relationship with her long-term boyfriend has all but fizzled out, but how do you end things when before-mentioned boyfriend is the head of a mafia empire? A mafia romance you say? Not quite! Ignacio, or Iggy, is anything but the warm, romantic type. His scenes with Anaya were always difficult to read and very disturbing. His hold over her is strong, but she still manages to form friendships and a career outside of her life with him. It’s her career that throws her in Tony’s path. Now he is a man worth talking about! Tony and Anaya immediately have an intense connection and sparks fly. Unlike her and Ignacio’s scenes, I loved reading the scenes between Anaya and Tony. They were hot; so prepare yourself for some very believable chemistry.
Before you start reading Bedlam, be warned that there are some serious triggers. This is not an easy-to-read book, so be ready for some really uncomfortable reading. Right from the start we are exposed to some deeply sad events and it only gets worse as the story moves on. This book is filled with deception, danger and lies so expect everything that comes with those labels. However, this story is also hopeful and there are some really lovely scenes. While most of these are between Anaya and Tony, look out for some unexpected scenes with Fred; my favourite character!
Bedlam is both the book I was expecting, but also full of surprises. It is darker than I thought it would be but also has some lighter, touching moments. I read this in one sitting; yes, it really is that addictive! For anyone who loves a mafia or dark romance read, I would recommend this in a heartbeat. I can’t wait to read more of this series!

REWIND by Rowan Shaw. This is the first book by Rowan Shaw I’ve read but it will not be my last. This is the story of Enzo Chevalier who lost his hearing but was determined to not let it stand in the way of his success and it didn’t. He has everything working good until the love of his life walks out on him. Enter Florian Beaudry who Rowan had a relationship with in high school. Florian had his whole life planned to a tee or so he thought. When he walks out on his girlfriend and best friend he realizes his feelings for Enzo never went away. Both guys have suffered from the prejudices of our society physically and emotionally but they are learning to love and trust again. Will they let their guards down and really explore their relationship and what they can have or will the be too scared to try again. Read Rewind to find out.
A Person Could Disappear Here By Terri George. This book definitely had my head spinning. The author does an incredible job of writing about issues some may have a hard time reading. The attention to even the simplest details can be seen and I applaud the author for going through such lengths to write such an emotional story. It’s told in duel point of views and I always feel that makes for a more rounded storyline. This is my first book by this author but I’ll definitely be looking into more. It’s well written and paced nicely. It’s an emotional roller coaster ride for sure. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it.

Garrett is the second book in the Dark Water Security Series. It can be read as a standalone.
I really enjoyed this story. It kept up a pretty good pace and the characters were easy to connect with. I did find that the ending was a little anticlimactic, I was really thinking there was going to be more to the whole lifestyle scenario with Mr. Meyer’s brother. That piece seemed like a loose end after the conversation that is overheard. I had a little chuckle at Hope’s first encounter with her boss’ lifestyle choices. If you’re not familiar with it, it can be a bit shocking, lol.
Overall, I found it a good way to entertain your imagination on a rainy day.

Little Miss Eyes of Blue is the prequel to The Woman America Loves a Latte and it does a great job of diving it on Vee’s past. It paints a vivid picture that tweaks the heart and answers some questions about why she is how she is. At times this story is both heartbreaking and bold, which is exactly how I feel about Vee as well. This author has a talent of making the characters feel so real so easily and I love that. If you want a good book that is basically a character study then this is for you. Just be warned that it may change how you see the world around you.

Wow! Just wow! This author is able to tell quite the story! She drew me In with the easy going writing which made me love reading this. This flows so nicely! The characters are amazing! I love the mafia slash gangster theme. My emotions ran high and I could hardly put this book down. Prepare for a late night!
I loved the characters. But then I learned to hate some of them as well. They were strong, fun and outrageous at the same time. That Tony! He is sex on a stick! The meetings between him and Anaya are so sexy. My tummy tingles and butterflies fly. Tick and Manny are not only different character names but they are interesting characters as well. They are men of action not words.
This is not my first book in this series but I am glad I was finally able to get this one read. There are some books that make a person stay up late reading…this is one of those. This is an introduction to these characters which will carry over to the next in this series. Thank goodness! I love catching up with previous characters.

My third book by this author and I couldnt pick a favorite right now even if I tried. Ive had this one on my kindle for a bit and have wanted to read it since the day I got it, and finally did and OMG, I loved it.
There was a lot going on in this story, from family issues, to friendship and the whole torn between two brothers thing happening..It was how this story was put together and told that made me love it so so much. I was afraid it would follow storylines Ive read before and things would happen and I was completely thrilled it didnt take that route, instead it took routes that had me glued to the kindle till I finished..I walked around doing everyday things while reading and listening to this story until I finished. This author has a way of drawing you in quick and then holding on as you take a journey through all of your emotions.
Izzibella Beau is most definitely on my list of favorites and I will be watching for everything I can get my hands on by her.

This is the story of Vee’s life from birth up to her meeting Thunder.
This story focuses mainly on her parents, her father struggling to make it as a famous star, her mother problems and attitude as she was gripped by drugs and the impact it had on Vee’s childhood.
I was a bit unsure about how this would work as some of her childhood is referred to the standalone novel The Woman America Loves A Latte, however i was pleasently surprised and i enjoyed reading about her journey which lead her to the life and the friends she has.

Flirty Dancing: A Spicy Romantic Comedy About the Afterlife is the third book in the Green Room Chronicles Series by JD Frettier. I have to say, this is one of my all time favorite series. These short stories should be read in order as the next book begins where the last one leaves off. Flirty Dancing features Kitty, who has an accident falling off the stripper pole and dies. She joins the ladies of the Green Room. These books are all fun and full of light hearted banter about the afterlife. The author bring a interesting aspect of how the afterlife is supposed to be. I really can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us in the next installment. I highly recommend this book, series and author.

I felt like this was a short book, just because it was a fast read. It is a contemporary romance, which is what I prefer. I got to say I felt like I learned a lot of terminology regarding to the fighting done in this book. I enjoyed the plot, I liked the characters. Chloe was easy to like from the beginning. I liked that she was tough, not easily falling head over heels even though internally she did want Locke; a total bad ass. Locke is O.M.G, just with his accent alone I was done for. Jaja I enjoyed the chemistry between them, and the build up just goes along well with the plot. I wouldn’t have gone for this book just because it was a girl fighter, yes I like them spicy but not to this extreme but I found myself being okay with it. Definitely give it a try even if you think it won’t be your cup of tea, you might realize the story and characters have you hooked that you don’t want to stop reading.

Things We Lost (Loving Locksley Book 1) by Shae Banks

Honesty is my number one policy. I don’t care what the story is as long as it’s the truth. Little white lies hurt too. The author showed us what could happen if you run into your soulmate after years of pain. I really thought that Nathalie lacked something. Not that she didn’t feel but she just seemed too mellow for all that she had been through. Jase was a douche for withholding the truth even if it seemed like the right thing at that moment. Could you imagine keeping such a big secret and telling someone you love them. When that don’t truly know all of you. I liked this story and hope we get another one. It was somewhat of a cliffhanger. The author did really well with building the characters though some still need some growth.

This novel was quite the debut novel for sure from Rowan Shaw. I feel quite pulled in multiple directions as far as my opinion goes still a few days after finishing this up. This was a dark and twisty, angsty, and well at times frustrating MM romance that had me captivated at times simply because I had to know what was going to come of it if anything. I see the beauty in the story here and truly found it within the struggling relationship between Enzo and Florian, I just think it struggled to fully get there for me anyways. The writing was strong though and the world building was beautiful, I would definitely be around to see what Rowan Shaw has in store for future novels!
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I found it very enjoyable. It is the second in the series and I had no problem getting right into it. When necessary characters are clearly introduced and explained.
The story is told from different points of view and a had a very strong beginning and middle. The end happened quickly and I have a few questions but it didn’t take away from the story.
While this is a mafia story it is also a suspense, romance, and a story of discovery.

Vampires are awesome. I love stories like this. It isn’t normal it isn’t a classic. Its different than any vampire book I have read so far. I really love when authors just take something and spin it into something unbelievable. Alex and Elizabeth are amazing in this story. The attraction undeniable. I liked that they had powers. Some parts were just ok but mainly I liked the interaction between the characters. The villain chick was crazy and made the story really good. Every story needs a good villain. I definitely recommend you reading this book because of the cliché.

Rafferty by A.S. Roberts is book two of the Default Distraction series. I highly recommend reading book one before reading this book because beside being a great read itself, it will give you an introduction to many of the characters you see in book two. Also, there are some scenes in book two that you will have seen in book one just from a new point of view.
Lauren has had her heart broken but she’s moved passed it and has become a successful business owner. Rafferty is past or Default Distraction and they are back in town. Lauren resolves to stay away from anywhere they may be. She worked hard to rebuild her life and she doesn’t want to risk getting hurt again. Rafferty knows the mistake he made but will Lauren give him another chance?
This book is an emotional roller coaster but you truly feel like you feel what the characters are feeling. I could feel Lauren’s pain but I wanted happiness for both Lauren and Rafferty. I absolutely recommend this book!!
This is the second book in the series and I liked it just as much as I liked the first. It was entertaining and it kept me interested throughout the whole book. This was a whodunnit type story and it was also cute and romantic in some places too. If you are looking for a sweet paranormal romance with a few twists, this one is great! I am looking forward to reading more by this author and I would recommend this to a friend.

Blinded by Betrayal was full of action and emotion. Every encounter with a character brought you something filled with either fear or excitement. I really liked the main character Sloane. She is one bad mamajamma. She didn’t play any games. When things started off bad I didn’t know what she would do. But what she did do surprised me. She took off and made something amazing for herself. I really liked the direction the story went. She did this on her own without a Male lead. The author really made you felt the betrayal in this story. It comes out of nowhere and your left feeling uncertain. Like what just happened. I like this author. Vantage Point is the fourth book in Amy McKinley’s Gray Ghost series! It is a military romantic suspense story so if you are fan of the genre then this series is for you! You could read this book as a standalone as it is a story in its own rights but you will be meeting the characters from the previous books so knowing their stories will add to your enjoyment. Vantage Point is the story of Hawk Ares, the quietest member of the Gray Ghost team, and Stella Klein, his red headed neighbour. There are layers to Hawk and him being quiet does not mean he is not a true Alpha! And as an Alpha with his sassy neighbour in trouble, he takes the challenge on! He is haunted by his past and keeps his relationships simple and with no strings, she is a woman who considers the family the most important and her reality is clashing with it as her brother brings arguments and tension into her life … Throw them together and you get a story that leaves you at the edge of your seat until the end. I am looking forward to enjoying more of the Gray Ghost team adventures and hopefully the writer will be adding to the team (as currently it is the four Alphas and each of them have already gotten their story!).

I enjoyed reading The Woman America Loves a Latte so I was looking forward to reading this prequel to that story and I’m glad I did. There are a lot of sad moments in this book but there are also some really sweet moments with wonderful characters. There are a myriad of characters in this story which made it that much more entertaining. I’m glad I got to know Vee better and where she came from. I highly recommend this book. I also really enjoy this author’s writing style.

Hate to Love You by Lily Ryan is the first book in the Baker’s Bunch series. This is the story of Samantha and Cole and their chance at love. The two have known each other most of their lives. Cole has always been around since he is best friends with Samantha’s brother. What happens after the two have a kiss? The story is really good and tells about a longing that has been growing between the characters for a long time. I like that they are concerned and have to deal with possible consequences of them growing closer together. The characters are also really good and I was hoping for them to find their happily every after. I look forward to where the series goes and hope to see more from some of the secondary characters in the future.

Lynne Russell wrote an amazing story Hell on Heels which is the first book in the PJ Santini Series. There is a creative way of writing a suspenseful and witty crime story. Her characters are fully developed and a blast to follow along in the story. PJ the main character is a sharp and down to earth. PJ has taken on a little more than being just a news reporter and found herself in over head in a mystery. You will be a on wild ride through the eyes of a reporter.

Spar was addicting from page one to the very end. Full of romance, humor, and feisty taekwondo I could not put this book down. Locke and Chloe ,who were the two main characters, were easy to fall in love with. Both had amazing careers and interesting parts. I loved how the two finally came together and was shocked at the secrets revealed. The author did an amazing job with these two as well as with the supporting characters. I also loved the descriptive settings used through our the novel. It was easy for me to picture the setting each portion of the story took place in. I enjoyed reading this novel and highly recommend it!

Rewind by Rowan Shaw is a brilliant example of a MM romance story. This is a heartwarming and romantic story with characters that you can’t help but love. Florian and Enzo have each had their share of misery and right away you know you want them to find happiness. And if that can be with each other then even better! This story has been well written. It flows really well and keeps pace from start to finish. This is the first book I have read by this author and I enjoyed the way she developed the story and the characters. This was a great book and one I enjoyed.
Garrett (Dark Water Security book 2) By Madison Quinn
I have to say that this book had me frustrated at a secondary character from the get go but it didn’t take away from the main characters too much. Just he had me mad i couldn’t figure him out. Garrett and Hope met a couple years ago, had a great night and then life changed drastically for one of them. When they meet again, it brings memories back that they don’t think they can make it through. As they get to know one another more, and continue working, we get to see more of the Dark Water Security team again, but not too much.
I enjoyed this story, and the tough subject that was touched on was done well. Can’t wait for more from this series.

5 Star Broken Pieces By Judith B. Pinkard is an Amazingly written biographical story about the Author’s life.This story is based on Faith and miracles and real life events she’s been through .I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, while we might not ever understand that reason. We have to believe that someone with higher power will in time help us to understand. This story tugged at my heartstrings and had my eyes watery throughout. I felt like I was on a emotional rollercoaster ride at times.This is definitely a book I see myself reading again. I highly recommend reading this Book.

This is a must read it was really engaging and beautifully written story, even how it goes back and forwards in time it’s still easy to keep on track what’s happening. It had amazing character’s who you really grow to love as you read on. I was lost in the storyline completely caught up in the page’s but i find there’s nothing better then picking a novel up which you can just lose yourself in the words it takes you away from reality even if it’s just for abit. I loved every second and i can’t wait to read more from this author

Stupidity should never be a redeeming quality. Blindly following what other people want with no regards to your needs crazy. I don’t know how Glynnis survived the way she did. Who trusts someone that they hardly know as much as she did. I’m truly upset that the lead character was so awful. Is that how some people truly are? I rated it four stars because the author wrote an interesting story. The moments where we find out about the axe murderer and Corin are my favorite parts. I really liked Corin. He wasn’t traditionally handsome or build with muscle. He is a normal guy if a little stalker-ish. I actually liked how he wrote everything down. I makes you feel better and it almost takes a weight off of you. He was super adorable for being shy like there are no shy guys anymore. I thought he was very alpha male when he went after Glynnis. I liked the story but could do without Glynnis. The story was really well written and I would read more by this author. Hopefully all the leads have actual personalities that they developed from learning about themselves and not what others think their personality should be. Also we need to redefine the term best friend. Because Kenley was not it. Review by @gguerrero89
