My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I give Misfortune of Vision: Druid’s Brooch Series: #4 by Christy Nicholas, 5 stars.

Orlagh has been the seer to her tribe for a long time. Battling with a king who refuses to follow thru on her visions is only one of her worries. She is an old woman and must find an heir to pass her magical brooch to. This begins her on a journey in which she explores many things, both good and bad. Will she find this heir? Or will her life end tragically? There are many obstacles she faces along the way and she is no longer the young woman she once was. But she has her visions, her wits, and her friends. Perhaps all will be fine….

This series is incredible and each book I read amazes me at the wonderful story the author weaves. Each book is incredibly different, yet they each tie into one another. Orlagh is such a wonderful lead character. A strong woman, she knows what she must do and does what has to be done. The secondary characters are also wonderful. I hope to see more of them in future books.

If you like a story of myth and magic expertly written, this book and series is for you.
