The Brass CompassThe Brass Compass by Ellen Butler
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Brass Compass by Ellen Butler is a brilliant example to historical fiction that will draw you in right from the start.
Ellen Butler is an author is have become recently familiar with so I was looking forward to seeing what would come from this book. Full of intrigue and espionage this book absolutely captured my attention immediately. From reading the blurb I wasn’t sure if this was a book I would enjoy but I really don’t know why.
Lily St. James is such a good heroine. She is everything you want the main character to be – interesting, relatable.
I though the author did a great job of building the story up and taking you on a journey. I always enjoy WW11 things and this was done very well. I would definitely recommend this book.
