Proper Impulse is the fourth book in the Jaded Lily series. It can be read as a standalone. You don’t have to read the previous books in the series to appreciate this one, but they are awesome so do it anyway. ?
I loved this story. I seriously loved Juniper. She is so feisty and compassionate. She might have a less-than-legal way of going about doing what she does, but her heart is in the right place. Of course, this is what makes the friction between her and Milo so delicious. And Milo, god, sometimes you just want to strangle him!!! Rule breaker meets the law…It. Is. Epic.
Proper Impulse is engaging, funny, sweet, and full of fireworks. You won’t be disappointed.

Captivity: A Paranormal Romance Novella (Captivity Book 1) by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk – Review by Anastasia Dodson

Captivity (Captivity Book 1)Captivity by Sarah Biglow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

New authors for me and I thought this book a was a good start for the series. This is a paranormal romance that was original and it kept me interested page after page. I thought the main characters were great and I felt for them when they were in trying situations. Aiden is a Phoenix shifter that has been held captive for a LONG TIME.. He’s finally got the chance to escape and runs as fast as he can to get away from his captives. Lorelei has been working undercover searching for Aiden and has been looking for him for years. When she finally catches up with him, he doesn’t recognize her as someone from his past and she has no clue how to proceed. Does she stay and help the people who have been helping him after he escaped or does she return to a job she isn’t sure about?
I am looking forward to reading more of this series because this one did end in a cliffhanger and I have so many questions I want to get answered! I would recommend this to a friend that like PNR!

My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

Time Tourist Outfitters, Ltd by Christy Nicholas was a unique fun read that had me hooked from start to finish

Not my first read by this author, so I knew going in that I was in for something well written, original, entertaining, and fun. I was not disappointed in the least. This book pulls you in from the start, with that witty cold open, and the taste of what these time tourists are.

I think my favourite bit of this whole story is that the MC is an older mature woman, who gives no -anything- (keeping it PG here, but you get what I’m saying lol). I loved her within seconds, quick witted and just hard as nails, I want to be this woman’s friend. This story has many elements, different times and heavy with detail. You can tell care and research went into making this as much as journey through time, as well as keeping it an engaging story for the reader. There was so much that kept you reading and kept you guessing. I loved every minute of it, and with each new layer pulled back, and the deeper you got, you almost become apart of the story yourself.

Overall this book is worth your time, energy, and it’s worth talking about. So please take my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval that, you will be captured by this tantalizing one of a kind read.

Happy Reading

I read this book completely blind. I didn’t look at cover, look at the blurb or read any reviews. For the first few chapters, I had no idea where the book was heading and I almost looked to see what it was about. I am so glad I did not because it was a very enjoyable way to read.

This story mesmerized me the whole way through. There is enough solid writing with a definite timeline, a bit of mystery and a whole cast of well developed characters.

I absolutely recommend this quick and easy read.

Mara Gan did a wonderful job creating this incredibly world and characters. She has described it very well. The two main characters are Meda and Perseus. Meda is a princess of not just a world, but a galaxy. She is compassionate and sweet. She has a very independent and stubborn streak that I absolutely love. Perseus is beyond fierce. He is a force to be reckoned with, but he may have found a challenge in Meda. There are ups, downs, laughter, and sadness all in this story. At the end of this story, there is a cliffhanger. This is only the first book in this series so more is yet to come, and I cannot wait!

5-stars

Proper Impulse (Jaded Lily Book 4) by Zeia Jameson was a fun and romantic read. This novel was funny at times to. The point I was literally laughing out loud. The main characters Juni and Milo were fun and easy to fall in love with. Juni was witty, brave, spunky, and determined. She was my absolute favorite character. I loved watching her develop as the story progressed.

This book may be book four in the series but it can be read as a standalone novel. I do recommend the rest of the series though, they are all written well. Even with this novel the author demonstrates her ability to keep an easy flowing storyline that keeps the readers attention. She is also detailed in setting, emotions, and characters description. I love this novel and I highly recommend it!

Captivity: Captivity Book 1 by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk is a short paranormal novella. I was not sure exactly what to expect when I picked this up but I was not disappointed. This is a fast read and left me wanting more. The end is a bit abrupt but hopefully all will be answered in the next book in the series. I liked the characters and the world building. Also, the story was unique and was not a cookie cutter story. I was left at times wondering where everything was going. Captivity is a brilliant fantasy read that held me captive until the very end. Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk are new authors but after reading this I cant wait to read more by them, and what else they bring this series!
This was a quick read, but a read that was packed full of fantasy, action, adventure and suspense. It is a fast-paced read that leaves you wanting more with the anticipation of a terrific cliffhanger ending! Even though this read was quick it did flow and I loved that we get the characters POV’s throughout as it gives us a better understanding of them and their journey. These authors writing styles definitely draw you into this read and hooks you until you have completed it in one sitting, but with it comes a waiting game to find out what more is to come!

TWO HEARTS UNDER FIRE (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8)TWO HEARTS UNDER FIRE by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Two Hearts Under Fire is the eight book in Tamara Ferguson’s Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance series. I have read every single one of Tamara’s books and every time she releases a new one, I am there! I love her Crystal Rock universe and I love how we get updates on the characters we met in previous stories. I admire the love, compassion and understanding she has for the wounded vets, the consideration she shows when telling the stories that are at times so close to what so many have experienced …
Two Hearts Under Fire give us Russ and Claire and they are taking us on a roundabout journey that will end up connecting way more dots than what we originally thought! It is amazing how the writer throws together action, twists and turns and romance that seems so natural! I promise you that once you have read Russ and Claire’s story you want to go back and read the others as you get curious about them when meeting them here!
I cannot wait to see who will be up next!

I have once again found a new author and another great first in a series book. I really like psy-fi and
paranormal books. This was just such a great read and so refreshing. The book had me from chapter one and if I said it once I’ve said it a million times I just couldn’t put this book down.

I like how the book is in first person. I really like how I am seeing the events through the main character’s eyes. The first person narrative of this brings everything to life. I felt as if I was the character and as the events unfolded that I was experiencing them first hand. The world created by the author just came to life within my mind. I also like how things are not so straight forward and the main character falls for her guard over time. I really look forward to reading more from this author and this series as this is the first book and I am so eager to see how things pan out.

Captivity (Captivity Book 1)Captivity by Molly Zenk
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I give Captivity: A Paranormal Romance Novella by Molly Zenk & Sarah Biglow, 4 stars.

Aiden is a phoenix that has been held in captivity in bird form for so long that he can barely remember his human side. When he finally gets the chance to flee, he does. He runs into people that say they will help and protect him. And then there’s Lorelei.

Lorelei fell in love with a phoenix 3 years ago before he was taken from her. Since then, she has taken a job as a hunter, hoping to find him again. When she comes across a job that sounds like him, she jumps at it. She finally catches up with him, but he has no memory of her whatsoever. What is she to do now? The people Aiden is with do not trust her, all except the one who has feelings for Lorelei. Is she just chasing a dream with Aiden, or should she continue? Does she go back to her job or give it up to help these who are fighting for the right cause?

I enjoyed this book. It is not very long, but there is quite bit going on. There is romance as well as action. The story is unique to me, as well as the world the author has created. I cannot wait to read more in future books. The characters are interesting too. Each one other them is unique and multifaceted. Some of the secondary characters peeked my interest and I would love to learn more about them too in the future.

If you enjoy paranormal romance that features multiple types of creatures, this book is for you.

This is so so different than any other book ive read, but in a great way. Its filled with short story type or blog style stories. Its all about finding the magic or the positives in everyday life, that I admit find hard to do some days.
I had to read this after my kids went to bed as I needed quiet, which is a first for me while reading. It was very relaxing and I really wanted to be able to picture or feel what i was reading in a different way than I was used to.

Captivity: A Paranormal Romance Novella (Captivity Book 1) by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk – Review by Emma Morreale

Captivity (Captivity Book 1)Captivity by Sarah Biglow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

With Lorelei being a bounty hunter and Aiden having a huge chunk of his memory missing, it was very easy to get invested in this story. I can’t think of another one I’ve read where one of the characters was a phoenix so it was nice to get a little bit of variety in a genre that is pretty repetitive at times. The fact that when Aiden is reborn he loses his past memories was a very interesting concept to me and I immediately started thinking about how one would combat such a situation and what instances you could come up against that would put that in jeopardy. It reminded me a bit of one of my favorite books where every twelve years, everyone forgets everything. They write in books but books are easily destroyed with fire so that wouldn’t really be a good option for Aiden. As I’ve said before, I love any book that really gets me thinking so I’m sure I will read this one again and again.

I love finding new authors and books. This was just such a great read. I found that the plot and characters were very addicting. I was glued from the first chapter and couldn’t put the book down. I must confess that this is the case most times as I love to read but I really love shifter and paranormal books.

Aiden and Lorelei have such a chemistry that it adds to the story. I like how the authors unfold the drama around them and that the story wasn’t predictable. I like how the authors use the lore around Phoenix and that along with the drama makes for a very addictive read. I will definitely be reading more of this series and these authors in the future.

Happily Ever After – Brothers of Camelot Style by Necie Navone is the continuation of Bella and Fitz’s story from The Only One (Book #1). As I expected Ms. Navone didn’t disappoint and I was swept up in this superb story. I really recommend reading Book one before reading this story, as you will better appreciate this book by having all those details in mind before you start. Plus, it’s such a great read, I think you would be missing out by not reading it. But, you can expect that one book won’t be enough, and you will probably find yourself hunting down the other books in the series too- because it’s just that good. Ms. Navone is a really wonderful storyteller.
This is a captivating addition to the series, and makes Bella and Fitz’s story all the more wonderful. Love the characters in this series- they really bring an extra element of interest to the books. Can’t wait to read more from Ms. Navone!

Thank you, Ms Navone!

Proper Impulse is the fourth book in the Jaded Lily series by Zeia Jameson. I have read the others in this series and I adore all of the people we have met so far. I hope we get a stories for both of Juniper’s friends, Drew and Everett. I those both of those girls will make sure a great afternoon reading binge.

Juniper and Milo are the epitome of opposites attracting. He’s a by the book police officer and she’s willing to go into the grey area if it means she is able to help someone in need. I know that people like Juniper exist but not nearly enough of them.

This can be read as a standalone but it helps to have read the others in the series since the main characters from the earlier books make an appearance.

Please let there be another book or morenin this series.

Joined: Book One by Mara Gan is a fantastic science fiction/fantasy novel. I have only recently started reading this genre and I’m so glad that I gave it a go as I absolutely loved this book. This is a new author to me and I had no idea of their writing style but I can safely say now that Mara Gan sure knows how to write a fantastic engaging story.
When I think of the imagination required to create this story, it blows me away. Not only are there many different characters who all play a vital role in the story but there are different nationalities, planets, galaxies etc that must have taken a great deal of imagination, planning and preparation.
As to the story itself, I was totally hooked on it from the very beginning and was taken on a rollercoaster journey to the end only to be left wanting more.
The 2 main characters Princess Andromeda (or Meda as she’s better known) and her Protector Perseus are awesome. Meda is sassy, strong willed and does not like having restrictions placed on her. As her life is under threat, Perseus is constantly exasperated by her constant rule breaking. All this is not helped by the fact that they both have feelings for each other but, with Meda being a Princess and Heir to the galaxy, her future husband has been chosen for her.
Can Perseus keep Meda safe from those who want her killed? Can the 2 of them resist the obvious feelings that they have for one another? I’d really recommend that you read this fantastic book to find out. For me, I can’t wait for Book Two as I want to know what the future has in store for Meda and Perseus.

I have to say I was very intrigued by this book by the synopsis, but very wary due to page count. This book is long, yes, but is a really good story. I’m not a big “step out of my comfort zone” genre reader, I love romance and the angst but this book really captured my attention.
The character descriptions felt like they were very vivid in my mind and I could really picture everything i was seeing/reading, I LOVE that. But there were some things that could have done fine with not being included, it just got too wordy, for me personally. I felt like I skimmed a lot, which I hate to do, but it felt repetitive or unnecessary to get to the next part of the story.
I will say I’m intrigued for the next book, as that cliffhanger leaves me to believe there will be another. Overall i enjoyed the story.

This was an awesome book 1 to a series that already has me hooked!

I loved Meda. She was a force to be reckoned with. Even though this was a story about a Princess that needed to be saved, Meda wasn’t your typical princess! Her flaws made you love her!

This was a fast pace read with action and suspense! I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough just to see what would happen next. Great start to new series and I can’t wait to read the next book. Mara Gan is now a must one-click author for me!

I went way out of my comfort zone on this book. It was recommended when I mentioned I needed something different. This was definitely different for me. I don’t read sci fi and I’m not a huge fan of YA, but in saying all of that I did enjoy many parts of this story. I definitely had no questions regarding the characters as they were well described and had the depth you need to truly understand. The surroundings and times I could almost visualize with the descriptive words used. There was definitely a uniqueness to the storyline which I completely appreciated.

In saying all of that, this book was a bit long and drawn out for me. I’m not crazy about reading a book I find myself having to skip through especially when an author works so hard to give me the words to read, but I did skip quite a bit, it felt very wordy in many places and I might be exaggerating a bit but it almost feels like half the page count could have been eliminated. Okay, maybe not that much but it did leave me with that feeling.

Again..in saying all of that I will be reading the next in this series as there was enough of a cliffhanger to have me craving more, and although this story did not change my choice of not reading this genre it is quite possible that the next in the series will.

Definitely do recommend for anyone that loves a good NA SciFi romance novel without too much of the romance.

I found this book giving off Throne of Glass vibes along with some Star Wars bits. It starts off with Meda who is a non-royal born into a prophecy that deems her saving the galaxy. She has a bodyguard who is a mercenary but she doesn’t think she needs one and is perfectly fine being able to do what she wants. Meda is an empath and semi-frequent telepath who gets overwhelmed sometimes with all the people around her and escapes quite a bit that her bodyguard, Perseus gets angry with her. Not wanting to spoil but Meda ends up falling for Perseus.

I loved the plot of the story but the description of Perseus was a bit too much, I’m not a fan of big muscled guys even tho he did sound rugged and handsome. I also found it a bit deeming that he kept calling her “little girl” even though it changes a bit in the end after they are both in love.

In other words, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes sci-fi, humor, fantasy and a bit of action. I feel this book provided a lot of those things along with romance of course but not too much it was overbearing.
