The Crown of Stones: Magic-Scars (Book 2) by C. L. Schneider – Review by Liz Vrchota

Magic-Scars (The Crown of Stones, #2)Magic-Scars by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

CL Schneider has quickly become my go to for book with sci-fi and magic details that will promise to keep me enthralled. Normally this isn’t my go to for genres but I can never deny myself the chance to discover the books Schneider puts out.

The Crown of Stones: Magic Scars is book two in The Crown of Stones series from CL Schneider. I would highly recommend that you read the first book, Magic-Price, before diving into this one. Be prepared to be sucked in and have a huge need to get your hands on book three as soon as you can. I sure know I have found my anxiety fully ready for it after this book because I know there is more to the story we didn’t get here that will be in the next novel.

In Magic-Scars we find Ian waking in a strange dark prison and he has zero idea about the basics; who, what, where, and why. The worst of it all is that he has been drugged in order to suppress his magic from being used. The world around him is a disaster and he will struggle to put the pieces together to be able to be whole enough to fight and protect the ones he loves and cares for. This book is vivid and gorgeously written with so much detail you will feel as if you are right there in the novel with Ian. I loved this and felt like I literally sat on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading, all the way till the last page. I am so anxious to read book three!
