Covert Threat (A Gray Ghost Novel, book 5) by Amy McKinley – Review by Michelle King
Covert Threat by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Covert Threat is an intriguing, action packed, romantic suspense story that hooked me from the very first page! Amy McKinley never disappoints! If I see this author’s name, I know I’m going to love the book!
Jules is a scientist who is dedicated to her job. A serious workaholic. Her life consists of work, sleep, repeat, with an occasional outing for a drink with her friend Fran. One day she gets a strange message on her computer along with all sorts of other strange things happening around her.
Trev is a former Navy Seal who is hired to be Jules’ bodyguard. He’s gorgeous, built, smart, funny, and knows how he affects the opposite sex. Which is why he’s shocked that Jules seems to be able to resist his charms! Soon, they find out that Jules is in more trouble than first appeared. Can Trev figure out what’s going on and keep Jules safe all while trying to get her to see him as more than just a bodyguard?
This is book five in the Gray Ghost series but it can be read as a standalone. It contains a little bit of everything and will have your emotions all over the place! I highly recommend this story and all of Amy’s books! 5 stars!
