The Player was a short book/story that I thought would be the same old story of a girl seeing a really cute hockey player then dating but after getting further into it, I loved it. It involved around the world of a hockey player his PR person and a stalker. Roy and Patience are gonna be a great couple and the connection that had from the start, ooo. But overall great read. Can’t wait to read more by Jacquie Biggar.

This book reminds me of those 80s Jean Claude Van Damme movies. I used to love watching them but now I enjoy reading these action-packed thrillers. I love that it starts off with suspense as you meet former Navy SEAL Keegan Hunt who has been avoiding Venezuela for 15 long years. The team has to rescue four Americans he’s about to blow his cover as he knows it to return to Caracas. Kara Medina, Keegan’s nemesis, ambushes his mission to recover insect-sized robots as the battle begins with the special ops team. She soon realizes that Keegan resembles someone from her past who saved her from a dangerous camp. Unable to keep her concentration, the mission went haywire, she realizes she has an attraction to him no matter how much time has passed. Though this is complicated on a higher level, she’s keeping her eyes on the prize. As the team’s priorities shift, Keegan turns to Kara to succeed. As American politicians’ stakes escalate and goals intertwine, Keegan doesn’t want to leave Kara at all costs even if it sacrifices himself for the love of her.

In this heartbreaking coming of age story, we follow Anne Mason’s childhood through what looks like a picture perfect lifestyle is anything but. Two hearts reconnaissance was a great read. And I loved how after everything Harry and Eve had been through in their lives that they were able to find themselves and each other throughout this book. Amy and Issy were so adorable. The relationship between Harry and Eve was amazing with their connection and the hardships they had to face over the years. I couldn’t picture what happened to them happening to me or my siblings but I loved this so much. And it’s all thanks to Tamara Ferguson. I can’t wait to read more.

Marked For Death by Amy McKinley is the sixth book in the Gray Ghost series. This book can be read as a stand-alone although I would definitely recommend reading the whole series!!! This book is just as explosive as the others. It is action packed and fast paced. I found myself flying through the pages. The characters were just amazing. They had such a chemistry between them. I honestly do not know how this author keeps producing such amazing, gripping books. This series is just fantastic and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

You’ll love to pick up this one if not for the action alone but the fact that it seems like a modern Western to me which makes this book an instant classic. At least in my humble opinion. Wynn Owens is a sarcastic ex-convict turned good or decent landlord. She gets vibes from one of her older tenants that he’s had something to do with robberies in the past. Sheriff Beau Greystone put his foot in his mouth as he has his imposing aunt to thank for his new position as sheriff. Beau’s wife recently passed but it’s also wounded not only his body but his heart as well. With all of that afloat, he’s checked out of the physical world and into his own world in his mind. The community of Blossom Hills needs him to step up as their sheriff and Beau is up to capture the robber — until a cold case killer has to be captured first to restore peace in the community. I love this author, I really do. Her books are so exciting to read and I am always hooked from beginning to end. I think out of all of her books this was the hardest for me to get into but one I was it was one amazing story! There were some unbelievable twists and turns that had me guessing what was going to happen and I was even more excited when I realised that this book wasn’t just Lizards story but Mace’s as well!! Both fantastic stories and both completely different. Having read all of the books in this series I knew the characters and was excited to read their stories especially Mace’s – I wasn’t sure of him to start with but I was completely in love with him by the end of this book! It’s quite difficult to review this book without giving too much away – so I will say that I 100% recommend it, the author has yet again done a fantastic job with the writing of this story and it is a perfect addition to the Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter series! It is definitely a one click book!!

IRRESISTIBLE VALENTINE (Irresistible Romance Book 3) this is one of my favorite ways to find new to me authors. I love when they come together and share their love of writing for us readers. Each of these stories brings something unique to the collection I found myself completely lost in each individual story world the authors created. Each one has something different to offer readers and as a whole they all had me completely hooked. The characters are complex and relatable and each storyline is incredible. I love when I can read several short stories that still pack a punch. Each author did a wonderful job of writing stories involving romance and all that we enjoy about it. I did have a few favorites such as Two Hearts’ Reconnaissance, The Player and Unexpected Packages each of these stories captured a piece of my heart. That’s not to ignore all the other great stories because I truly loved each one for different reasons. I’m giving this set a big five star review and highly recommend it. And I can’t wait to find more from these authors. Thank you for coming together for this set!
Summer Princess (Dark Fae Book 1) by Sloane Murphy. This story is full of everything. Love, drama, danger, fantasy & mystical creatures. It is the story of Emilia Daarke who is head strong, loving, and different from everyone else. There is also Emilia’s twin brother Edimere and older brother Erion and they have been friends with Cade and Rowan for years. Each month the Summer or Winter fae court hosts a party and its not your typical party. This party has blood and death and when her twin brother is killed after he kills someone else. Emilia’s life has been destroyed and her parents blame her for Edimere’s death. Being bribed into marrying Cade by her father she is not sure she can go thru with it. Cade loves her but his fate doesn’t line up with being married to Emilia. This book is full of twist and turns that keep you guessing and turning pages. Read Summer Princess you won’t be disappointed.
This is my first book from this author. I must say, I really like her writing style! The detail given and the evolution of the storyline were perfect! I love these characters. They are well developed and just grab you right from the beginning. I can’t wait for the next book! Stellar job. 5 stars.

How Could I Forget (Plentiful in Love Book 1) By N.D. Jackson. What a great story! From start to finish I was completely drawn in to Dan and Kayla’s world. These characters man they captured a piece of my heart and I’ll be honest I’m not wanting it back because I’ll think about them from time to time for sure. The author knows how to write characters that click not only with each other but with readers also. They a realistic and relatable. Their chemistry jumps off the pages. Even the smallest details are thought out and written well. The entire story is written well and paced nicely. And you just can’t beat the characters. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

Serenade By T.K Lawyer. This story follows Kingsley and Eva. Kingsley has been looking for his mate for a very long time, he feels empty and just wants to find his mate to fill the void in his hear. Eva is not looking for a man after her past relationship, she’s not too keen to start up another one just yet. Both characters were well written and easy to warm too. I love wolf shifter stories and this one is probably one of the best so far. I was pulled in from the start, the author kept my attention and did not disappoint, I did not want it to end.
Imposter: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 7) by Meghan O’Flynn. These books keep getting better. Once again this author pulled me in from page one and simply wouldn’t let me go. This author knows the way to keeping readers on the edge of our seats. I’m always guessing what’s next right up until the very end and I love every minute of it. Each twist and turn has me trying to turn the pages as fast as possible to see where we’d be going next. Each character brings something unique to the storyline and the plot had my head spinning more than once. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Five huge stars and highly recommended. Can’t wait for more from this amazing author.

Red Riding Hood (Down The Rabbit Hole) is an anthology of 12 different authors writing their version of Red Riding Hood. It covers several different genre’s including romance, erotica and horror. I am not going to review all of the stories but have chosen my 2 favourites to talk about. They are Ruby by Autumn Sand and Cloaked by Lia Fairchild. In Ruby by Autumn Sand, Ruby is a writer who is going through a divorce and is recovering from breast cancer. Her boss sends her to interview Count Edric Moreau of Paris who is known as the Wolf of Europe. Edric has taken over as the head of Moreau International and is known for seducing other millionaires and billionaires wives. The chemistry between the 2 is instant but Ruby is determined that she will not fall for his charms. Should she be afraid of the big bad wolf? I really enjoyed this story. In true Autumn Sand’s style it is erotic and titillating. In Cloaked by Lia Fairchild, Eva Chacon has been searching for her grandfather for 6 years. Most of her family had been wiped out when a war with another crime family got heated. While working as a nurse she thinks she has found him. As she tries to get to know him she also comes into contact with Luke. Is Luke all he seems? This story is quite dramatic and suspenseful and will keep you glued. Luckily it’s not a very long story and you can devour it all in one sitting. It was the first time I had read work by this author and this little tidbit has made me want more.
I thoroughly enjoyed this second book in the series and continuing to follow Brigit and Logan. Byrd Nash is a fascinating author to me and I am really enjoying this YA fantasy series. It is fun, fresh, detailed, and imaginative. It is a quick and easy read and was a very enjoyable afternoon escape. Will definitely recommend to others and looking forward to seeing how the story/series will continue.

Having read book 5 in McKinley’s Gray Ghost series, I was looking forward to this one and was not disappointed. As soon as I finished this book I wanted to read it again. I wasn’t ready for it to end, that’s how I know I loved a book! As a manager in a struggling bar, Monroe is devastated to find out that the new owner of the next door property is planning to open a hip new lounge. But Monroe can’t just give up, and sets out to save the bar she loves. Once she meets Julien, the owner of next door, things get complicated, and go in a whole new direction. I absolutely loved both of these characters, it’s a slow burn romance but definitely worth investing the time in. Julien is hot, and has a sexy accent to make it even better. Monroe is a strong, sexy female lead who you are really hoping gets her happy ending. Neither of them planned to fall in love, and sparks fly throughout as they uncover each other’s secrets. This is the first book I’ve read by this author, but I can’t wait to read more.

This is an amazing fantasy book obviously inspired the works of George R. R. Martin. This is not a happy-go-lucky book. There is so much tragedy and emotions of all kind in this book. Emilia goes through so much but she learns and grows as the story goes on. But she is not the only character in this book and the other characters are just as interesting. You may not like them all, but the author does a wonderful job of making them real. Then there is the story itself. This general type of story has been told before, but that will not deter you at all. The world this author creates is spectacular and you will be drawn in immediately. I cannot wait to read the next book.
If you are a fan of fantasy that has some darker elements to it, this book is for you.

5 Star Anne by Zarina Macha is a YA coming of age story that shows some of the usual issues teens face and have to come to terms with. My emotions were all over the place and once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. Anne comes from an abusive home where her father is an alcoholic and is abusive to her mother. When her mother up and disappears she is sent to live with her aunt. She ends up at boarding school and soon her past and her present collide. Can she find the hope and the strength to be able to survive? Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Summer Princess by Sloane Murphy a five-star read that will warm you up like sun rise. This is the first novel the Dark Fae series and I cant wait for more, this one kicks off with a bang and shows you just how enthralling this story is going to be and continues to hook you in and not let go, the you reach the end if like me you feel a tad bereft, I finished this last night and had to wait till this morning to write this as I didn’t know what I was going to write other than what a journey I have just been on. I am now eagerly awaiting number two in the series as although I have enjoyed reading Sloane Murphy before this one just knocked my socks off, she must be having a little something extra in her morning cuppa as the writing was bursting with flavour.

I loved reading this book and tore through it honestly in about 2 hours because I was so enticed by it. Erin R Bedford write this seemingly normal story that turns into this exciting, steamy story with all these twists and turns as you get to know all the characters throughout the story. You get to see why they are the way they are and why they make each decision. I think my favourite in the main character because shes so strong as sassy. She stands up for herself even though throughout the book it does get her into trouble but its admiring none the less. I’m very excited to read the next book she writes in the series!

Irresistible Valentine was a great 5 start compilation of nine Valentine Romance stories and the third installment in the Irresistible Romance series.
Two Hearts Reconnaissance by Tamara Ferguson is about Eve and Harry. We get another great story written around Crystal Rock where these two grew up together. We go past to present as we get the back story. Can these two find their love again now that they are back in Crystal Rock?
The Player by Jacquie Biggar tells Roy’s story. Roy is a hockey player that has someone stalking him and causing bad PR for him. Patience is introduced into the story as a PR person, she is hired to help Roy. As these two spend more time together the closer they become. Will these two end up together and get a HEA? I would love more from these two.
Overall I really enjoyed all of the stories in the series. I was introduced to a couple of new authors and plan to read more from them. This collection has something for everyone to enjoy. You can read a story here and there without having to commit to reading the whole book in one sitting. Kayla is now a single mom to twins and working in fashion while chasing her dream of having her own clothing line. All her time is spent at work, with her twins, and with the neighbor down the street that the kids call Aunt Tilly. Dan, as he is called now, is a successful business owner who is taking a break to take care of his aunt as she is getting older. It just so happens that his aunt and Kayla’s friend, Tilly, are the same person. This leads to a reunion quite a few years in the making. As their past feelings are revealed, along with a secret or two, Kayla and Danny must decide if they have e future worth exploring or if their lives are just in different places right now.
I found this book to be easy to read and the story kept my attention the whole time. As a reader, I could feel their emotions pouring off the page. There was lust, loneliness, hope, regret, and love…among others. They each had their own dreams that they were pursuing and needed to find out where they could fit each other in when it came to their plans. This is the first book that I have read from this author, but I am looking forward to book two in this series.

Marked for Death is the 6th book in the Gray Ghost series by Amy McKinley. I love this series, and while each can be read as a stand alone, you should read them all. The characters overlap, but each couple has their own story that focuses on them and their past. This is Keegan’s story. I’m going to keep the review short, as to not have any spoilers. Keegan has hidden much of his past, in part to try to forget it, and part to protect his new family and team. He hasn’t been to Venezuela in over 15 years, but a rescue mission takes him back. As if fate took over, he crosses paths with Kara, a girl from his past, and the only he has ever loved. Kara always found comfort in Keegan (then Max), and he was her protector. The introduction of Kara and her daughter has thrown a huge monkey wrench in Keegan’s mission. He must find a way to keep her safe, while still completing his mission and keeping his team safe. Which turns out to be easier said than done.

Imposter: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 7) by Meghan O’Flynn
Let me start off by saying wow!! This book had me on the edge of my seat throughout its entirety. Petrosky is barely holding it together because he’s still fighting to hold on especially as his dead daughter’s birthday is nearing. I stayed up way too late to finish this book because I was so invested and I needed to go where this would end. From one moment to the next I didn’t know what was going to happen or what twist was going to change what I thought I knew. This author is an exceptional writer, the suspenseful stories are top notch and must be read. This book is definitely one of the must reads I highly recommend this book.

Marked for Death by Amy McKinley is the sixth book in the Gray Ghost series. These can be read as standalone stories but I recommend reading in order. Each has characters which carry over from story to story. This is about Keegan who is on a rescue mission in Venezuela. He has tried to not go to this country and has a past he’d like to forget. His mission is interrupted by Kara who has an overlapping mission but is not there to help him or his crew. The two met before and they quickly remember their past. This has action, adventure, and suspense with lots of romance to keep it steamy. This is a great read to get away for a bit. I also love the familiar faces of the past popping up in the story.

Red Riding Hood (Down the Rabbit Hole) Anthology has contributions from Autumn Sand (Author), Amy Allen (Author), CeeCee Elaine (Author), D.A. Stein (Author), Darlene Tallman (Author), Jess Bagnall (Author), Kay Elle Parker (Author), Laci Paige (Author), Lia Fairchild (Author), Lorah Jaiyn (Author). In these stories there is something for everyone and the genre they like to read. The stories include everything from romance, reverse harem, paranormal, and horror to name a few. A few of the authors were familiar to me while others were something new. These are quick stories and entertaining to read. Ruby by Autumn Sand is romantic and inspiring all at once. Ruby has a lot of challenges in her life and still has so much strength to keep going. I really enjoyed this character and her story. Cloaked by Lia Fairchild was a fantastic up to date retelling of Red Riding Hood. The main characters of Vanessa and Luke are fun to read. This is a fast paced story that I read in one sitting and left me wanting more.
