This is a quick spicy read you do not want to miss out on. What happens when your son leaves town and you realize his hot best friend is back in town? This book will definitely melt your kindle with the heat index. I thought this book was a great read and loved the characters. I’m sure you will too if you love forbidden romances.

The saga continues, we get to know Giovanni and Serena better and watch their relationship develop, grow and change from beginning to end.
There are so many things that happen in the book, I’m not even sure where to start with my thoughts and feelings.
I found myself getting very frustrated with Serena and thinking she needed to be throttled. I couldn’t believe she pulled what she did without out thinking it through. It could have ended up so much worse then it did.
Giovanni is understandably a over cautious control freak. He is the future of the Larussio family and that reason alone puts a huge target on himself and the people he cares about, but there is no way he could have seen all of that coming his way.
I loved getting to see Katerina and Chase even though it was a fairly brief appearance. They still are my favorite of the couples, though Giovanni and Serena have a chance depending on what happens in the next book.

Throwback by Zeia Jameson was a great 5 star read.
We start by getting clips of Livy and Jeremy’s childhood up to an adult. They both had different but heartbreaking childhoods. Livy was counting the days until she was 18 so she could get out and away from her mom. Jeremy lost his dad to a drunk driver when he was little and wanted to make his mom proud.
These two end up meeting at the bar Livy worked at and they had an instant connection. As they start dating they have to learn to drop their walls and learn to trust each other. They also have some challenging twists and turns.
Can these two have a HEA?
There is so much more to this great read that I don’t want to give away. This author has done a great job of pulling me in with her writing and I couldn’t put it down. Great debut novel! I loved the characters, my emotions were up and down at times with them. There are some scenes that I would suggest 18+ readers only. I am excited to read more from this author. 1-click and get started today.
Its been a bit since a book has ticked all my need boxes in one story. I am a sucker for brothers best friends books and I love a book that makes me laugh and just suck me in. Real life got put on hold a bit, sorry kids! Blair and Ashton were great, everyone in this story played an important role and brought something to the table. I will be rereading this again soon as I am sure I missed little things in my first read. Amazing!

Are you looking for a hot and steamy, romantic suspense thrill ride full of alpha male mafia men, sexy as sin bodyguards, and tons of action? Via Mari delivers all of this and more in Rise, book 2 in the Larussio Legacy series. I highly recommend you read the first book in this series before starting this one. Honestly, just go ahead and start with the Prestian series, continue to the Torzial Affair series, and throw in the Billionaire Bodyguards while you’re at it. They all tie in together in some way and give you a full complete picture of all the characters and their lives. Don’t get me wrong though. Each series is its own. It is just my recommendation that you read them all because they are all fantastic!
Every single one of her books has been outstanding and Rise does not disappoint! The action begins in chapter one and does not stop! There are twists and turns you will not see coming. And the sexy bits are oh…so…steamy! I’m an Italian. Where can I find myself A Gio? Rise will leave you wanting more and I am looking forward to the next book in the series!

Shift Happens is the second book in Carrie Pulkinen’s New Orleans Nocturnes series. I couldn’t wait to read this book after reading the first in the series and I wasn’t disappointed. You will find yourself fall in love with the heroine of this story Sophie. She’s part of a witch line but is having troubling accessing her powers. To add to that stress, she is bitten by a wolf and then is accused of crimes against the wolfs pack. Then you have Trace the hot alpha type wolf who bit Sophie, he’s just trying to find out who cursed his pack. Will Sophie clear her name before the next full moon? Can they keep their hands to themselves even with the attraction? I loved this book and can genuinely say I was laughing out loud quite a bit, just an amazing book. You wont be disappointed in this book!

Sophie Burroughs is a tough as nails dog walker. She built her dog walking business in Texas then moved to the Big Easy with her best friend. She came there trying to find her witchiness, but unfortunately her powers didn’t seem to want to work. Enter the hotter than hades shifter, Trace, and the sparks begin to fly. Her life takes a big turn, thanks to Trace, but is it as bad as she wanted to believe? If you want a fun read, with lots of steam and sexiness, then this is the book for you. I loved the whole story and the characters are great.

Rise The Larussio Legacy Book 2 By Via Mari ☆☆☆☆☆ I wish I could give this story so much more than 5 stars. This is not for those under 18. Due to adult content.
This is the beginning of Serena and Giovanni s story. Serena Moretti as well as her family have suffered at the hands of the Larussio Family. She watches as her family is torn apart. Serena has grown up fearing them. Now she can’t seem to get past her feelings for Giovanni. Giovanni will soon become the Don of the powerful crime family in Italy. He is not only powerful, he is extremely good looking. He can have any woman he wants and dump her the very next morning. He will stop on nothing to kill those who get in his way. Everything is about to change for him as well as the girl that has captured his heart. How will this couple survive the death threats and constant attacks on both of them, and their families.
Via Mari has continued to keep your heart pounding throughout this romantic action novel. This book starts on page one, with you drawn into the book. There is no putting it down. The action and bedroom scenes are enough to keep you reading. I love the characters in her book, and their strong will to survive. I won’t give any spoilers for this book. Even though I really want to. So take this book, wine and tissue to the reading corner. You will be there for a while. Via Mari PLEASE finish the next book, I NEED More!

Releasing Her Power Within by Madilynn Dale was a great story! The writing seemed a but choppy though so I didn’t get pulled in immediately, but once I was pulled in I didn’t even notice it anymore! Great characters and a great storyline, this was a great paranormal/fantasy shifter novel! This is first novel I’ve read by this author, and I’m pretty sure it’s her first, and it was a great one! I can’t wait to read more from Madilynn and can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

The first section of this book is a nice romantic story. Seeing their past and how they got together working toward their happily ever after. The second half is where things get shaken up in their life. I sat here many times just shaking my head. At what he does and what she does. Totally frustrating. But there is a genius way for them to try to heal so they can fall in love again. The question is will it work?
This isn’t my first book by this author. I usually LOVE her work. This one I just struggled. It wasn’t the characters (I enjoyed them) it was the story telling. The first half it seemed there was too much time spent in their heads and I became easily distracted. The prologue is what kept me turning those pages (that was a great idea). The second half easily kept my interest because I was as invested as the couple was wondering “who”and “can it work”. It’s a lovely story and I did wish for their happiness. I do recommend this story because it does have a good message, its twists and turns and the characters are amazing.

Releasing Her Power Within: Fae Shifters Book One by Madilynn Dale
I found this book to be unique and intriguing. I am very interested to see where this series takes us because having a shifter fae with powers that have yet to be tapped into leaves me on the edge of my seat wanting more. I really enjoyed the many different characters we got to meet that make up this original story. This book started out a little slow but before long I was drawn right in and found I couldn’t put it down. The author wrote with such detail that I felt like I was there going along on this adventure. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book. I highly recommend this book

All The Wrong Reasons by Erin Bevan is the first book in the A Serendipity Falls series. The story follows Alex and Max who have known each other since they were 7. The two have always remained friends but when circumstances occur in both their lives will they take the romantic leap? This is a sweet romance with realistic characters. People are flawed, have pasts, and are not perfect but are trying to do the best they can do. I am always sweet on a friends to lovers romance. What could be better than a perfect ending to a lifelong friendship. This story is well written and I enjoyed the characters of Alex and Max and wanted to see both of them get a happy ending. This is the first book I have read from this author but look forward to reading more from her in the future.
This is book 2 in the New Orleans Nocturnes series, Make sure to read that one first!!
This book was just as hilarious at the first and i finished it just as fast! This could honestly be it’s own book, but it fits perfectly with it’s successor! I absolutely adore this series and can’t wait to get my hands on the next book! I look forward to seeing where Sophie’s story continues! Definitely worth the read!

Shift Happens is book two of the New Orleans Nocturnes. It can definitely be read as a stand alone story, but in my opinion it’s more enjoyable if you have read book one. I like the familiarity of knowing the characters and already having the scene set for me. Book two follows Sophie. Sophie is desperate to release her inner witch. It runs in her family, and she’s been told more than once that she has the power too. By day Sophie is a dog walker, she loves animals and she daydreams about having a hunky werewolf boyfriend. What she didn’t dream about was being bitten by one and then accused of crimes she didn’t commit. Wolf shifter Trace bites Sophie, she’s the main suspect when a member of his pack goes missing and he needs to keep tabs on her. The chemistry between Sophie and Trace grows, and when they finally hook up it’s all pretty hot! But they still have a mystery to solve and a pack member to hunt down. Shift Happens is a funny, steamy, paranormal romance. It’s much more light hearted than similar stories in this genre making it an enjoyable and easy read.

Lucifer’s Emblem: A Paranormal Academy Romance by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk is the first book in the Celestial Academy series. This is a great collaboration between two authors. This book was definitely an interesting one. It felt like it had a fresh take on the whole Lucifer story which was nice. It meant it didn’t get boring and slow. The characters were enjoyable too. They were entertaining and both different from each other. That story was quite fast paced, it felt like I read it fairly quickly. This is an overall good story and I am looking forward to book 2.

This is a young adult story that deals with real teen issues. This is a well written story that kept me turning pages to the end. It is a fast paced, engaging story that I read in one sitting. In this book Leda is in love with Nico who is a bad boy. Is she ready to trust him but the question remains that if she isn’t ready will he wait for her? Can she really change him? This author did a great job of depicting real life teenage problems that they face. The characters go through alot and I enjoyed watching them grow throughout the book. They are serious but they bring humor to the story too. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite yet. It is a paranormal romance story that I had a hard time putting down once I started it. I was pulled right into the story by the characters. I found that I could easily connect to them. They made the story feel real. The story is about an emblem that was stolen that must be found before it unleashes Armageddon. There is only one person’s blood who can stop it, Zuri’s but will she learn to trust Miryam before it is too late? I really enjoyed this story and the mystery it brought. Watching their bond grow throughout the story was great and the connections they made with each other. I highly recommend reading about these Fallen and Archangels and if they find the emblem before it is too late

Shift Happens: A Paranormal Romantic Comedy is the second book in the New Orleans Nocturnes series by Carrie Pulkinen. Sophie Burroughs desperately wants to be a witch like her grandmother was. She tries so hard to cast spells but just can’t. Sophie jokes with her friend that maybe she should try a spell naked, which I found hilarious. All other supes swears she smells like a witch, but it just doesn’t seem to be happening for her. When Trace Thibodeaux, a werewolf, bites Sophie she has to prove her innocence against his pack to save herself from becoming a werewolf. Trace is trying to prove that Sophie is the one who cursed his pack, but romance starts to get in the way. This book was full of humor and romance, just the perfect blend to make a wonderful story.

This is the third book in this series, it is my favorite yet so far. I highly suggest reading all the books in this series to help enrich your enjoyment of the characters and the stories. The characters bring the story to life and made me feel as if I was right there with them. In this book everything seems to be falling apart, people are not who you think they are. By joining the gold team, it could mean giving up everything a good hero is meant to be. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. This is a really great book that kept me turning pages to the end. You won’t regret picking up this series.

This is book 2 in the New Orleans Nocturnes series. This follows Janes best friend Sophie.
Sophie is a witch, or so she is lead to believe however she has no magical powers. One night at a party she is bite by what she thinks is a dog. However things arent as they seem.
Trace is part of a werewolf pack and he has been given the task to find the witch responsible for his missing pack member and for causing the rest of the pack to shift at random moments. All evidence points to a unregistered witch and that leads him to Sophie. However things get complicated not only by the fact he bit her but also by the fact of their strong connection.
Can they work together to solve this mystery? Can they be together or will accusations force them apart.

Carrie Pulkinen has done it again! I thought Book one in the New Orleans Nocturnes Licence to Bite was a brilliant book, but Shift Happens, well… I really really enjoyed this one!
While these books can be read as stand-alone but believe me when I say that would be a huge mistake! This book is brilliant from the very beginning, it has humour, romance, sexiness, werewolves, magic & witches. It has drama, action, passion & mystery! Seriously there are too many good things to say about this book without having to tell you the whole captivating story and giving it all away!
I loved that we were transported into this world of New Orleans, I felt like I was learning along with Sophie about the paranormal world she finds herself in. I loved that Jane was still a major part of Sophie’s life even after what has gone on with her life, but both of them still make sure they are there for each other!
Now Sophie’s chemistry with Trace is beyond a doubt undeniable from the very beginning and I loved watching it grow, even when everything could be put on the line for Trace he still continued to follow his heart and with that, it helped Sophie make probably the biggest decision of her life! These characters were real (even for being supernatural) they had real and raw emotions and knew what they wanted and wasn’t afraid to go after it!
I can’t wait to see how their story continues but after meeting Crimson in this read I also can’t wait to follow her story.
I highly recommend this read and Book #1 you will definitely not regret it!

I have read a few books by this author so I was looking forward to reading this new release form her and it was as I expected, a wonderful story with characters who I loved from the start! I find Ms Paige’s writing such a pleasure to read, the pace and flow of her books is just perfect, I lose myself in her stories easily. I love a brother’s best friend romance- it’s a bit taboo but also usually really romantic and sweet with a bit of passion thrown in! I loved Blair! She was so awesome! Asher was a fab character and I loved what was happening between him and Blair – but I have to say along with the romantic side of this story I absolutely adored the friendship sides to it! Blair and her besties Charli and Blair’s brother Beckett and his friendship with Asher! The connection the friends had with each other was great! I absolutely loved everything about this book! I can’t wait for more from this author in the future!

This book was a quick read filled with a lot of heat. Elizabeth’s son has just left for college and she finds that her life is not the way she saw it when she was at this age. Her husband travels for work and is having affairs. An unplanned trip to a friend’s house finds Elizabeth in a situation with one of her son’s friends that reminds her what it is like to be a wanted woman. She finds herself in quite the predicament…between being the dutiful trophy wife and feeling the passion of a lover makes her feel wanted and cherished. This book took less than an hour to read, but I definitely had to fan myself off a few times. The scenes with Elizabeth and Hugh were H-O-T hot! I would have liked more of the story going forward…but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t happy with the story I got!

Music Man is a single Dad rock star romantic comedy and is a fun and enjoyable read. Book one in a new series by K.L. Montgomery, each book in the ‘Romance in Rehoboth’ series is a standalone story set in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. “You’re never too old to fall in love with a rock star. Or chase your dreams”. Claire has just turned 40 and fallen in love with Jack, a want to be, rock star. Claire’s not sure if it’s his guitar, his beard or the flannel he wears but she finds Jack utterly irresistible. Music has always been Jacks first love but having failed to make it big as a singer and songwriter he turned to teaching music instead. When he starts teaching piano to Claire, he finds himself falling for the stunning read head. Then just as they start a relationship Jack’s big break comes and he has a chance to become a rock star and fulfil his first love. I enjoyed this romantic comedy, Claire is an independent and strong female lead character and Jack is essentially a nice guy. I like the fact that Montgomery has written a romance novel where the main characters are over 40, rather than the younger norm. The storyline flowed nicely and I was fully immersed in Claire and Jack’s love story and loved the setting of Delaware’s top vacation destination. I look forward to reading other books in this series.

Montgomery – Review by Jennifer Gordon
Another fun paranormal romantic comedy in Carrie Pulkinen’s ‘New Orleans Nocturnes’ series. It can be read as a standalone story although some of the characters are mentioned in previous books. The blurb states, “If you like funny heroines and smoldering shifters, you’ll love this fast, steamy romantic comedy” and I was not disappointed as that is exactly what I got. Sophie Burroughs is determined to be a witch like her Grandmother was but cannot actually cast a spell. What she didn’t want was to become a werewolf but having been bitten by a very handsome one she has until the next full moon to stop becoming one herself. To make things more complicated the sexy werewolf who bit her is also accusing her of crimes against his pack which she also has until the full moon to prove she’s innocent of the crime. Meanwhile Werewolf Trace Thibodeaux didn’t mean to bite Sophie but she is the prime suspect for putting a curse on his pack. He is determined to stop the curse and the witch who cast the spell, but didn’t factor in the sassy witch who he’s bitten and the steamy chemistry between them, but can he literally get into bed with the enemy. This novel has a very funny romantic storyline which flows nicely and has some fascinating characters and lots of steamy chemistry between the main characters Sophie and Trace. I look forward to book three in the series.

This is book 3 of the Hero High series, absolutely not a standalone. This is a Friday Fitzsimmons story, as were the last two. This book takes you through all of the people she thought she could trust and those she thought she couldn’t. Will she submit to selling out as she feels some others have, or will she continue to be a hero? Find out in this third installment of the Hero High Series! I honestly hope there’s going to be more to this story. I want more!

The second installment of Mina Chara’s series Hero High was good. The story itself was short but it packed a lot of action into the little package. Friday continues to grow as a superhero and a person. The book was interesting and fun. Mina Chara has created a very interesting universe with Hero High. I look forward to reading more from her.

Carrie Pulkinen has another winner with Shift Happens. It was a fun romp throughout the book. Watching Sophia realize her potential as a witch and find love with a werewolf was great. Carrie Pulkinen has created a vibrant universe with this series and I for one enjoyed my time in it. This book was funny and suspenseful, it kept my attention. I look forward to exploring more books from Carrie Pulkinen and this series in particular.

Shift Happens ( New Orleans Nocturnes #2) by Carrie Pulkinen 4 Stars!!!!
This was just another great journey into the supernatural world of New Orleans. I was warped into the adventure and I just could not put this book down. I really like how the books just really flow from one to the other and continue the story seamlessly.
The electrifying chemistry between Sophie and Trace is just so addicting. I just love how there is an air of forbidden but then as the saying goes truth will out and all things fall into place. I love how the characters really come to life and how I felt as though I was there in the story. I really related to Sophie as we are all searching for a place to belong and fit in. I really cannot wait to read more from this author and series as one of my absolute favourite genres is supernatural romance.
