With the realization that he might lose his mother to cancer, David (the voice in his head) has taken the reins. After everything that has happened with Trevor, can the twins survive David?
I remember reading book one and it blew me away so I knew that this one would be excellent as well. Both twins have schizoaffective disorder. Each book is written from a different perspective of the illness. In this story Aaron believes that he has everything under control therefore he doesn’t need help. After seeing what Branson went through with the psychiatrists and the hospital, Aaron definitely doesn’t want a repeat of that for himself.
This is an intense read that shows the ripple effect that this illness has on family and friends. The ending just about broke my heart. My only issue with this book is the constantly changing p.o.v’s. Many times I had to reread passages to figure out who was talking. Aside from that, I loved the book.

Wrapped Up In You by Erin Bevan. This is such a fun sweet story. Its the story of Princess Jenny Claus, yes as in that famous Claus, Santa’s daughter. She has 30 suitors to pick from and its a very important decision because whoever she picks will eventually be the new Santa. The problem is she only has 3 weeks to make her decision and on top of that a plane crashes into the Toy Factory and destroys all the toys and a ton of kids hope for Christmas. The pilot is Logan Moss and when he wakes up he is suffering from partial amnesia and is really confused that he has landed in a place that he always believed was make believe. When he lays his eyes on the Snow Queen Jenny he is smitten and decides he likes it here more than he originally thought. He might even be number 31 in the prospect of suitors. The only problem is Logan has a wife and family back home where he came from. He just can’t remember them. Will Jenny find her new Mr. Claus or will Christmas be ruined forever? Read Wrapped up in You to find out. No matter when you read this holiday story it will put you in the Christmas spirit

The Widow: A Dark Romantic Fantasy by Naomi Valkyrie & Rebecca E. McEwen was an excellent read. I loved the characters and felt that they were developed well. They were realistic and unique. I loved how this story pulled me in do much that I wasn’t just reading it, I was living it. It hooked me as a good book should and I could not put it down. It had such a wonderful storyline and magnificent flow. The chapters transitioned well and it had an easy flow. This book for me is easily 5+ stars. I highly recommend it and look forward to more from these authors in the future.

Heart of Malice (Alice Worth book 1) is a wonderful mix of paranormal romance and mystery that worked really well together. Set in a world where supes and humans mix, Alice Worth is a paranormal private eye, as a mage she is able to use her special talents to find answers where the human law enforcement may struggle. When she is hired to find some missing books for a new client, Alice finds that there is much more to the case than initially met the eye. This book has a wonderful cast of characters, I love the mystery behind Alice and really want to find out more about the secrets of her past. I also loved Malcolm the troubled ghost and Sean the sexy shifter. I am really looking forward to reading more by this author in the future.

I am always excited to get a Manda Mellett MC novel, but this was a nice and new exciting chapter that we get to focus on. Belong Lost is the first of the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego chapter. I love the scenery change and that this one dove head first into the big guy, the president of the chapter, Lost. He is currently looking out for a family as asked by another chapter, but he takes it a bit less serious until drama and danger comes knocking and things are kicked into high gear. The woman of the family, Patsy is just the right mix of confidence and sass that she can hold her own with Lost and the sparks are hard to miss between the two. The road to a happily ever after isn’t necessarily easy but is so worth it in the end. I look forward to seeing what else we get with this chapter!

I am so happy that this book merely drew me in by the cover and not only gave me an unforgettable story but a desire for more. Blessed is not your typical academy young adult read and really delves into the characters first then adding the fantasy elements to boost them. This book kept me so enthralled that I found myself reading into the night, well more like morning at 3 am, because I needed to know how this book would end. I will warn you and mention that the cliffhanger in this book is one for the record books. I am legit sitting her reeling still two days later about that ending. The book is so detailed that you feel transported to this world with Gabriella and Finn and all the supporting characters. I swear I could smell the air as I read and I love when a book does that for me! I cannot wait to get my hands on book two and hope that it is sooner than later!

I am a fan of author Erin Bevan’s books and this story did not disappoint, it’s a Christmas story and was so wonderfully written that it made me feel festive although it’s only July. Full of Christmas magic this is a heartwarming romance which had me totally immersed in the storyline and reading it well into the night, always a sign of a good book. Princess Jenny Claus has only three weeks to choose from thirty suitors, not only a husband but one that will take on the role of Santa. When an outsider, Logan Moss crashes his plane into the toy factory, destroying it Jenny fears that both her Gala and the prospect of Christmas for children everywhere will be ruined. Logan Moss awakens from his plane crash suffering from partial amnesia. His confusion deepens when he finds himself in a world that he thought was make believe. However he can not deny his attraction and fascination with Princess Jenny and so when he learns that she only has three weeks to pick a husband, Logan decides he wants to be the man she chooses. The only problem is that due to the amnesia he can not remember whether he has a wife already. With Christmas getting closer, Princess Jenny has to make a hard decision, deny the obvious chemistry between herself and Logan and choose duty or choose Logan and love. I found this to be a lovely story with great characters and I was hooked from the start to the end. I definitely recommend this book as a great read and a wonderful way to escape from reality for a while, whether it’s Christmas or July.

The Widow: A Dark Romantic Fantasy by Naomi Valkyrie and Rebecca E McEwan is an intriguing story that had me utterly hooked from the beginning. I was drawn completely into these characters. The relationships between them, the character development were all so amazing to observe. The story was such a good one. It was well written and the two authors writing style worked so well together. They really knew how to pull out all the emotions and create a vivid and lasting story. It really felt like the pages turned themselves as I was reading this, I could not put it down. This is another amazing story by 2 incredible authors and I cannot wait to see what the produce together in the future.

The Traveler: Chimera Revolution by Shannon Nemecheck is the second book in the Book of Eleanor series. This book does really need to be read in order as this one follows straight on from book 1. It was great to be able to follow up with these characters and the journey they are on. This book was just as well written and exciting as the first book. I wanted to see where this next instalment was going to take them and see what was going to happen. The characters were just as interesting as I found them in the first book. It was really easy to connect with them again. I have definitely enjoyed this series so far and I can’t wait to see what else this author has in store.

The Divided Twin by Mary Billiter is the second book in the Divided Series. This is the follow up book to The Divided Mind and personally I think these need to be read in order. I am so glad to see a follow up to book one. It was great to be able to get back into these characters and their minds. I thought this book was even better than the first one. I was hooked immediately and found myself unable to put the book down. I read it all in one sitting and was thinking about it long after I had finished. I love the way the whole book was written and how the characters are developed. I found it to be such an interesting read! I would definitely recommend this series to anyone.

This is a lovely festive romance story. It is written so sweetly that you can’t help wishing for the two main characters to get together.
Logan is a pilot on a flight around the world. That is until his plane crashes. He is rescued and taken to the hospital but he suffers from amnesia. He cant remember who he is or what he life is like back home. The hardest part for him to get to grips with is that he has crashed into the North Pole and everything he thought was make believe such as santa and elves turn out to be very real.
Jenny is Santa’s daughter and she is at the stage in her life where she has to pick her husband and the future santa. Her feelings were straight forward, she would choose someone who would be best for the role of santa and hope that love with develop. However that all changes with the plane crash and meetin Logan. The connection she feels is so strong she doesn’t want to ignore it but how can he be the right choice to become santa when he believes it is all make believe.
Jenny is left with a decision. Should she follow her head and pick an elf or should she follow her heart and pick Logan? Also what will Logan do when and if his memories return. Will he stay with Jenny or will his past life drag him back and away from her.

Wrapped Up In You is a super sweet Christmas romance novel, set in the North Pole by Erin Bevan. This is a must read if you are a firm believer in Santa and his elves. If you no longer believe then I’m sure this book will change your mind because Santa has a large role to play in this book. Jenny Claus has to pick a husband from 30 suitors. The chosen one will become her husband and also become King and more importantly Santa. But who should she chose. She must choose wisely. The ceremony where her potential suitors are introduced is interrupted as a plane crashes into the toy factory ruining a large amount of the toys that are being prepared for Christmas which is only 3 weeks away. This plane is piloted by the very gorgeous Logan Moss who catches princess Jenny’s eye immediately. Can Jenny pick the right husband and can they make enough new toys to save Christmas? This is a wonderfully sweet tale about Jenny and the elves fight to save Christmas and also the budding romance between Jenny and Logan. But Logan has lost his memory in the crash. Is he free to marry Jenny or does he have a wife back home? This has to be one of the sweetest books I have ever read. I absolutely adored this story. The thought and imagination that the author has put into this story is amazing. 100% recommend this book.

Rowena Holloway does an amazing job keeping the mystery going throughout the series. These stories have a dark thriller with suspense, secrets, truth, twists, and turns. Holloway makes sure that you have all the information you need to understand the story fully. There are times when I just wanted to close my eyes and get lost into my “happy world” because I was fearful for what was coming. Then BAM!!!! A twisty turn comes and makes me reread what I had just read because I missed the turn to her twist. I would allow time to read this book in one sitting as it moves at a good pace, and for me at least, I wanted to finish to see how everything came together. In this series, we have met Charlotte. She is a journalist who finds herself involved with a mystery. Her character grows with each story. You watch her and feel for her because you want her to put all the puzzles together about the Hall. You will want to read these stories all together. I highly recommend these books. Make sure while reading these books you are ready to read them all together. You will not be able to put them down once you start reading them.

Another wonderfully heartwarming story by author Tamara Ferguson. When wounded Air Force Captain Zach Logan and single Mum Elizabeth Bowen meet at the beach at Dragonfly Pointe, their mutual attraction is instantaneous. However Elizabeth, Beth is a Mum to a severely autistic son, Kyle and Zach is battling PTSD making any new relationship complicated. Beth had been a full time accountant but the place she worked at was closing down and as Kyle’s father was long gone out of his special needs sons life, when the opportunity to enrol Kyle in a vocational facility in Wisconsin came up Beth was happy to except it. Meanwhile wounded warrior Zack was searching for a new life for himself having retired and at his friend Luke Bryant’s (from ‘TWO HEARTS SURRENDERED’) invitation he ends up in the the town of Crystal Rock. He accepts a position of administrator at the recently built wounded warrior facility. When Luke meets Beth he can’t deny their chemistry and is ready for a new start and Beth can not believe how excepting Luke is of her sons autism. However Zach is still experiences flashbacks of a gruesome murder and soon both himself, Beth and Kyle are all targeted by the killer. As usual Ferguson took me on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading this wonderfully written romance story. I loved the main characters, Beth and Zach, the chemistry between them sizzled off the page when they met and I liked how their relationship developed throughout the story. I was cheering them both on to their happy ever after.

Heart of Malice is the first book in the Alice Worth series by Lisa Edmonds. This is my first read from Ms. Edmonds, so I was quite intrigued by what her story would reveal. I love all things fantasy and paranormal- so this book captured my attention immediately. This is a really great start to the series- it’s a cleverly crafted paranormal urban fantasy- with a paranormal private investigator and her ghostly partner, magic, danger, sinister forces, hidden agendas, secrets, intrigue, and mystery. Ms. Edmonds proves to be a talented storyteller with stellar world building skills which really brought this story to life. Weaving a story encompassing such a multitude of supernatural elements and characters really gave my imagination a workout- in a great way. I am really looking forward to exploring the rest of this series and seeing what comes next!

The Divided Twin is the second book in The Divided seriesby M. Billiter and Kyle Thomas. I really recommend reading the first book in the series before this one, as we reunite with identical twins, Aaron & Branson Kovak whom we met in book one. I found this story a little more difficult to settle into than book one. There is a lot of swapping back and forth between characters that got a little confusing at times. But I guess that it added to the atmosphere of the book while also emphasizing the struggle with schizophrenia that occurs through the story. The mental illness is captured so realistically- textured with some darkness, heartbreak, and emotion. Thought provoking for sure!

This is one crazy story! It took me on a ride with some high highs and low lows. I was shocked and surprised more than once. In here we continue following the twins as they are almost done with college. The last book left me confused and this one took some of that away. I wasn’t a fan of the misdirection throughout because later in the book things change…which made me doubt what I had previously read. So cryptic yes..but I don’t want to give anything away. These characters are very well done and had me feeling for them and hoping they do well.
Anyway by the end I forgave the author and just sat dumbfounded and saddened. Mental health is no joke. This shows the stigma attached to certain monikers. Listening to those kids in the Depression group is enlightening. Even What the twins have gone through and how people act toward them. Over this is a good read. I would recommend reading book 1 first. It will help with understanding some aspects of this one.

Eagle of the Empire by Martin Ferguson is an amazing book. I picked up this book and did not put it down until i had finished it! This is my first book from Ferguson, and i was completely blown out of the water! This book will catch your attention and hold it, keeping you on the edge of your seat around every turn. I highly recommend this book!

I was so caught up in this book that i was up way later than i should have been, needing to know what happened next. This is my first book from this author, and i was just blown away by the authors talent! I can’t wait to see more from the amazing Lisa Edmonds!

This author crept up on me in the first book of this series and literally blew me away. This story was no different and with the addition of her son’s input and the what if factor finished me off. What an emotional read! There were a couple spots where I found I had to put the book down because I couldn’t see through the tears. After reading the first, which by the way still brings back all the emotions as if I was still reading it, I had a feeling there was more coming, the minute I could physically have this book on my kindle I did.
You have to be able to focus while reading. Any distractions could leave you feeling confused, so if there’s any warning from me, that would be it. There are some tough parts that were a bit hard to get through but life with this kind of condition can’t be all sunshine and roses unfortunately.
I’m not even going to try to sum up anything storyline wise, You have to read this, but I do highly recommend reading the first book and not just the stories in each but cover to cover.
This was a Phenomenal story that will no doubt stay with me for a long long time. I will absolutely read both of these again maybe more than once.
Feels weird to say I loved it, or I enjoyed it, but it doesn’t feel weird to say I literally could not put it down and hated when it ended…

I loved this book from beginning to end. This is part of the A Crown of Stones series but can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest you read the previous three books in this series it will help your enjoyment of this series. This author has impressed me with her creativity and imagination she puts in each of her books. I have no problem connecting with the characters as they take me on an adventure. This is a fast paced story that is engaging and kept me turning pages. In this story we have Ian and Jarryd. I enjoyed watching them grow throughout the story and what they learn about magic. Ian has sacrificed everything and is now free to choose his own way. So him and Jarryd take off on an adventure where they end up at the Wandering Isles. Unaware of what they will find, this is where their adventure starts and it could mean their survival. This is a really great story that will take you on an adventure you won’t soon forget. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I enjoyed this short mystery story. This is an author that I never hesitate to read. Her books are always creative and full of imagination. This is one of my favorites by her yet. This story is no different. It is a well written story that kept me engaged to the end. I was pulled in right from the start and it kept me turning pages to the end. This is a mystery story about Margot and what happens when she goes back to her hometown. One thing she never expected was to find herself in the middle of a mystery. One dinner and a snowstorm turns deadly for someone. She cannot resist a good mystery and has to solve this. How will this affect her relationship with her cousin? Will they find justice or will Margot’s past have something to do with it? I enjoyed these characters very much. I had no problem connecting with them as they made the story feel real for me. They are strong and keep the story moving. I highly recommend this book and this author.

The Divided Twin (The Divided Series Book 2) by Mary Billiter and Kyle Thomas is a compelling and dark story that may cause triggers as it deals with mental health issues, abuse and suicide. The story has many, many emotions, it is frustrating, heartfelt and heart breaking. I found it hard at times having had a mental health problem myself. Mary gives us realistic look at a mental disorder and an insight into the mind of someone who has schizophrenia and how it affects themselves and those around them. I had trouble settling into the story as the back and forth between characters was a little confusing at times, but this could be because I was a little unsettled reading it. It is a fictional story but written from experience and input from Kyle who has first-hand knowledge.

5 Star Heart of Malice (Alice Worth Book 1) by Lisa Edmonds Heart of Malice is the first book in the Alice Worth series by Lisa Edmonds. I literally devoured this book in one sitting. I wasn’t sure what to expect going in but once I started reading I couldn’t stop. There’s a bit of everything from mystery, mage, shifters, magic and danger. Alice is a Private Investigator of Super Natural who finds herself working with Malcolm to find the object of power . Alice finds herself looking for someone with a dangerous secret and a unknown agenda. I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Will she find the Object of power? What does her future look like? How much danger is she in? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

I loved reading the book Help Me Harry by Mya O’Malley. It’s a story that pulled me in from the beginning. I loved reading about the characters of Cassie and Harry. From the minutes that they meet Harry feels a connection to Cassie that he hasn’t felt in a long time. The past has taught him a lot about broken hearts. How is it that Cassie makes him feel so differently than others? Cassie is a young woman who is intelligent and works hard. When she meets and talks to Harry, she starts to feel a connection to him. She has a fiancé. When situations occur will she find out the Evan, her fiancé, is a player? Harry wants to put aside his reputation and convince Cassie that she should take a chance with him. What does the future hold for Cassie and Harry? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. I grew to care what happened to Cassie and Harry and hoped that they would find happiness. Can heartaches from the past be left behind? Is love at first sight possible? Don’t miss out on an amazing romance story that you won’t want to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

The story Confidentiality (Scope of Practice Book 2) by Jessica Aiken-Hall is a crime/thriller book. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until the final page. It is a book that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. The story finds Valerie Williamson’s life going very well. She has a wedding to plan for, wonderful friends, and a handsome fiancé. Will all of that be upset with the news of a serial killer in Lawerenceville? Tim, her fiancé, is busy trying to find the one responsible for the murders. Valerie wonders if the connection between the murders is more than a coincidence. Will Valerie discover who the serial killer is? Read this book to find out. This story had me turning pages. I love the comradery between Valerie and the additional characters in the story. I also loved reading about the bantering that goes back and forth between Valerie and Tim. They make a wonderful couple and I couldn’t help but want them to be happy. This is the second book in a series and to fully understand this story they should be read in order. This book does have characters dealing with sensitive subjects. The story also has some twists that I did not see coming. Don’t miss out on a book that will have you reading far into the night to finish. I would highly recommend reading it.

I loved reading the book Breaking Traditions: The Shifter And The Mage by Madilynn Dale. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and I was hooked. I loved reading about the characters of Natalie and Alex. Natalie is a young woman who is a shifter and dreams of operating a bakery. She is intelligent, independent, and kind. She also comes from a family that follows traditions even if what they want is the opposite of what Natalie wants. Alex is a mage who falls for Natalie from the first time that they meet. He finds himself with an unusual bond to her. Will Alex and Natalie be able to break traditions to be together? It seems that there is a lot stacked against them. What does the future hold for Natalie and Alex? Read this book to find out. I love paranormal stories and this book is a good example of the reason why. The author makes the characters come alive. When reading the book, I felt like I was right there with them. There are other additional characters that I loved reading about who are friendly and helpful to both Alex and Natalie. The story has heartwarming moments as well as romantic ones as well. Don’t miss out on an entertaining story that you won’t want to put down until the ending page. I highly recommend reading it.

Feisty Heroines Romance Collection of Shorts: ParanormalContemporaryFantasyHistorical Anthology by so many wonderful authors. Each one is very, very short but there is something for everyone in this collection from paranormal and magical creatures to historical stories and everything in between to delight the senses and test the emotions. I have laughed and cried and shown every emotion as I went from one story to the next and each feisty female. I enjoyed them all and have certainly found new authors and stories that are just waiting to be read in full. There are so many favourite stories that I can not choose one over another.
Angel Watcher – D.F Jones Fallen Angels, war and realising that not all you see is bad.
Dragon Rules – Tia Didmon This one made me laugh at the opening line. Dragon shifters and being set free and finding there is more to a horrible life.
Moon Magic (New Orleans Coven) – Angela Sanders Witches, witchcraft, love and loss will give you a jerk to the heart.
Within the Shadows (A Shadows Trilogy Short) – Amy Hale Unusual powers, selling what should be your most precious commodity and a willing neighbour to set your soul on fire.
Dawn of A New Era – Brenda Trim Looking for love and women being paraded around never felt right unless you find your Fated one.
Banshee Kisses – Ellen Mint She thinks she is saving him, but he has a secret he can’t remember. A ghost and the reaper, what an unlikely pair.
Lost In a Lie – Teri Riggs Finding out her father is not dead on her mother’s death bed sends her into a spin. Hoping to have family she soon finds herself having to explain what has already been proven.
Combustion – Suzanne Cass A ranch, a ranch hand cursing from place to place, a fire, a ranger and an unlikely killer.
Whiskey Love – Maria Vickers Prohibition, an arranged marriage and unlikely love.
Powerful Things – Renee Regent A cause, a broken heart and a second chance at love.
Redemption – Samantha Kade Psychic dreams, a killer, missing children and a fight to be heard and find the killer. This one brings out the feels.
Good Bones – Maggie Adams A millionaire wants what he can’t have. She is broke and unwilling to let go of the family legacy. Will they be able to find a common ground? I really liked this story. Maggie has a way of telling stories that make you intrigued and engrossed in the journey.
Keep the Light – I.D Johnson A lighthouse keeper and a woman washed ashore find love.

The Right Knight – Barbara Bettis The king decreed that this knight will have his castle and a woman to go with it but first impressions leave a lot to be desired.
Destiny’s Way – Karen Muir A knight in shining armour helps a beautiful woman escape a beast only to be set upon and paying the price.
Forever Equals (A Shelton Legacy Story) – Ruth A. Casie Not your typical girl from the 1200’s, fighting with a sword is more her style so when trouble tries to take her in hand the lies and deceit of others is brought to light.
The Dragon’s Assassin Sunstryker – SheriLynn Marean Being paid a lot of money to do a job is high on her list if it means a better life for her younger brother but what she finds is so much better than this dragon could have ever imagined.
Fated Match – Miranda Lynn Having to prove you are not your father has been taxing on this witch who proves she is so much more with her Fated next her.
Alerian’s War – Dariel Raye Premonitions, death and war and this high priestess learns that not everything you see can be trusted but to forge a better life they must find a new home.

Turning Up the Heat – Ashlee Price First impressions are not always correct. Hopes are forged when a dog who needs a forever home has two people vying for her love.

Wrapped Up in You by Erin Bevan is such a sweet holiday romance- a wonderfully original and charming story, with endearing characters, set in the North Pole- then Ms. Bevan added a dash of drama and the result is a winning recipe for a delightfully romantic and interesting story. I loved the premise of the story. Santa’s daughter, Jenny, must choose a husband who will become the future Santa. She only has three short weeks to do it. On the night of her Courtship Gala an aeroplane crashes into the toy factory- bringing a stranger into the mix. Logan, the pilot, wakes up in the ‘North Pole” with memory loss- and now the fate of Christmas, as well as his and Jenny’s hearts, hang in the balance. Erin Bevan has such a wonderfully descriptive, warm and inviting style to her writing. Her stories always draw me in and have me hanging on every word. Her books are so easy to read and are always very captivating- and this story was no different. I can’t wait to see what she does next!
