This book will draw you into a magical world full of twists and turns. This is the third book and can be read as a standalone but it is my suggestion you read them all in order for a better experience. I love Megan in this story, I feel like she gets stronger in every book. It’s hard for her to figure out she can trust. This story had me on the edge of my seat at times. The author did an amazing job in building a great fantasy world that took me on an amazing adventure. I enjoyed this book and loved reading it. I highly recommend this book and this series.

The Matchmaker and the Marine by Lucinda Race was a great example of why I love second chance romances. As my first book by this author, Melinda and Adam’s story was heartwarming and full of emotions that I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Both of these characters had an uphill battle to fight through and it was great to see how the right person can help fight those battles. I can’t wait to read more books from this small town and check out other books by this author.

Boy on Hold is a bitter sweet crime story by J.D. Spero that is not your usual run of the mill crime story. This was my first read by the writer and I can say now that it is a story that any crime lover would enjoy reading. It is a story told from multiple point of views that pulls you even deeper into the story that is filled with twists and turns and heart ache and realities of addiction, mental illness, and murder. In the center of the story is a seven year old Henry ‘Hen’ Trout who witness his neighbour’s, sweet old Miss Sally’s murder during the Cabbage Night in a small Adirondack town. He is a troubled child whose way of looking at the world will fascinate you and steal your heart. It is his older, seventeen year old brother Tyler that is arrested for the crime. All the evidence points to Tyler and his mother and his brother struggle with it being a possibility … The writer takes us deep into the dynamics a broken family, a single mother struggling to keep it together and small town filled with plenty of shady characters. She tells the story in such a considerate way that even though one could think that surely this story is way too depressing; it never pulls you too down. Still, it is heart breaking and it stays with you for a while, be prepared.

Being Lost: Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #1 by Manda Mellett is the next first book in the Satan’s Devils saga that is set in the San Diego chapter. MC President Dart is plagued with a ghost from the past, the old Prez Snake (who was disposed of in an earlier book) is keeping him awake and making him doubt his abilities. Patsy is a loving mum who gave up everything in order to ensure that her youngest son had the best chance of making a new life for himself. Under the protection of the MC Patsy finds her life may be in danger from the very crime boss that made her son need to go into hiding. Lost has an affinity for Patsy and their romance starts to blossom while the MC also comes up with a plan to keep Pasty safe. I am already a big fan of the Arizona Satan’s Devils books, so it was enjoyable to see how the San Diego chapter had changed in the last three years. As with all the other books Satan’s Devils series this book is perfect for those who like an alpha biker doing all he can to protect his woman, with a lovable cast of supporting characters that you just can’t help wanting to learn more about. Looking forward to the next book.

This book had me hooked from the beginning. This book deals with a lot of tough issues like, mental illness, drug abuse, and broken families. There is also love, friendship, and wonderful characters. This story is definitely full of suspense and kept me entertained throughout the entire read. The author did an exceptional job of detailing so that you felt like you were there. There are some unexpected developments in this story that kept me on the edge of my seat. I had a hard time putting this book down till I found out the outcome. This was a great and intriguing read. I highly recommend this book.

A mystery, thriller young adult novel about a child who is the only witness to a terrible and violent crime. Set in 1991, on Cabbage Night, a traditional night of pranks in a small Adirondack town the night takes a disturbing turn when a violent crime takes place, shocking the small town. Seven year old boy, Hen Trout, is the only witness to the violence against Miss Sally. Hen had been outside in the dark hoping to catch a hedgehog when he saw the attack. Single mom Marcella Trout is devastated that her young son had witnessed such a violent attack but is then blindsided when her seventeen-year-old, Tyler is then arrested for the crime his brother had witnessed. Marcella now looks back on Tyler’s mood swings and they now seem dark and frightening to his mother, especially as she had been desperately trying to forget her family’s history. The Trout family begins to unravel as the criminal investigation goes on and soon even Hen begins to question the truth about what he saw and what really happened that fateful night. I find this an emotional read and also a thought provoking one. The issues surrounding teenage mental health is dealt with both honestly and sensitively. The characters really drew me in and I was hooked from page one of the novel. A fascinating read for both young adults and adults alike.

I won’t lie, I had no idea what I was going to be getting myself into when I picked up The Equalizer: Foxxy’s Tipping Point by Allyson R. Abbott. I chose it and had to have it when I saw the cover. I mean what is not to love about the drool worthy cover haha. I couldn’t wait to see what this was all about and I am so glad that I did. We meet Foxxy, a call girl with a terrible pimp and life that leaves a lot to be desired. Foxxy meets one evening a man who has decided that she is the one and will stop at nothing to make sure he gets her. He offers her a better life, and even better revenge against her terrible pimp. The problem is Foxxy doesn’t know if she should trust him. I honestly loved these two and reading their story. I was on the edge of my seat a lot of the time hoping and praying that Foxxy would get her happily ever after. I will definitely be back for book two in the series and I can’t wait to see what adventure awaits us there!

Wow another series off to a great start. I have read many of this author’s MC series and this is yet again another great start to introducing us to yet another chapter. The characters just jump off of the page and are very realistic. I like how the author is able to bring in just enough drama and intrigue and mix in romance.
I like how Lost and Patsy are in a way each other’s saviour. It really is a lovely romance even though it is wrought at the beginning with danger. I like how the Satan’s Devils are able to keep everyone safe. I like though how this series ties into the other, and how there is a nice little cliffe hanger at the end. I am so intrigued to find out how this little intrigue will tie into the series and how things will begin to unfold. I cannot wait to read more from this author and this series.

I was so taken with the first book in this The Divided Series from M. Billiter and Kyle Thomas. I personally don’t think that this one should be read until you have first read the first book. In that one we meet the twins and discover the demons they are battling as well as the impact that they have on their family and life. In this one, The Divided Twin, we pick up when the twins are away at college and focus on the boys in a time of life that is complicated to live without an altering mental illness. I love how raw these books get. It is obvious the topic is close to the heart of the authors and it shines through in the way this takes no punches yet throws them over and over in a way that will make you question everything. I can’t get enough of these books and am really hopeful we will get more in the future of the twins stories. I will say this book takes really dark issues and may be triggering to some. I also feel like it is a good window into a world most are completely unaware exists and should be read, so proceed with what will be best for you.

I haven’t had the pleasure of reading a JOANNE PATTERSON novel before this one but I was glad that I gave the new to me author a chance. This book may have started a bit slow but for me it really took off once it did and actually left me reeling for a bit more at the end. I was not expecting the ending and I really do love books that can lead me on a bit and spin the whole thing around 360 quickly. It makes the book memorable and long lasting for me.
REBECCA STEELE FINDING THE DREAM is the second book in the REBECCA STEELE series from Joanne Patterson, but I was able to read it without the first one and enjoy it, although I will go back now and check out the one I missed. We find Rebecca as she is leaving the life she has known behind for a more fast and exciting one on the rodeo circuit. She stumbles into country music in the process and things seem to be going well for Rebecca until the twist you don’t see coming… you will have to read that for yourself, but this is one you don’t want to miss. I knew the moment I saw the cover of this novel that I just had to read it and find out what this world is all about. I found out this is Tabi Slick’s first novel after I had finished it and I must say this is a very good and well thought out, exciting, and adventurous read that you would think that this is an author who has been writing forever. I am so excited to run and check out the other books in the series now!
In this novel we meet Izara and Kain, twins that are figuring out that their world is not what it seems and that their magic is only just beginning to come to fruition. These two are settling into a boarding school and start to discover things that may be dangerous to uncover. This is such a fun read and I am so excited by the premise that I literally can’t wait to get my hands on more!

Erin Bevan is one of my favs for feel good love stories and she didn’t disappoint with Wrapped Up in You. I really enjoyed the Christmas and cool theme even though it was mid-summer when I read this. It was a nice break and fun to revisit that magic that seems to only come around once a year usually. Wrapped Up in You is a fast paced read that follows Jenny as she faces the clock in a race to find a hubby. The easy part is she found the man who gives her the warm tingly feelings, Logan. The difficult part is that a crash killed his memory and he doesn’t know if he is available to be married! Will these two find their happily ever after or will the mysterious past of Logan and the family constraints of Jenny be too much for them to get through? I can’t wait to see what will come next from Erin Bevan.

With Adam going on a string of unsuccessful dates the pair have plenty to keep them busy.
Mel and Adam are both such lovely characters you can’t help but wish them well. They both have a lot of baggage, but for me, this makes them more relatable and real. I was rooting for them to get the happy ending they deserve. I was keeping my fingers crossed that this second chance at love would work out for both of them. The story is easy to read, perfect for a cosy afternoon.

I absolutely adored Be One With Me, by C.A. Miconi so much!! It captures your attention and just does not let it go! This second book in the “Finding Love In Green Springs” series follows Sally and Nolan. This story is very well written, and filled with love, loss, and amazing storytelling! I loved the first two books and can’t wait for more!

I highly recommend getting this set so you can binge read this entire series. The Ashes to Ashes series is an intense, edge-of-your-seat thriller that will keep you up at night turning the pages.
The characters in these books are complex. The world building is amazing! And, the story line is a winding road of mystery, suspense, danger, drama, and intrigue. There are many layers to uncover along with the characters as you read.
This series is a non-stop roller coaster ride you won’t want to get off of.
This is a tale of transferring to a new high school, in a new place and let’s not forget that it is a boarding school as well. This tale starts with a landing plane and setting off to a new, unknown place and the one who pick’s the new passengers to take them to their new home, is none other than a local policeman who takes them to stay with him and his family for the night, before hitching a ride with his son to the new school the next day. While looking out of the car window, a realisation hits that the new school is in the middle of nowhere and that there will be nothing interesting there.
On arrival there is something a bit unusual and off about the new school and from driving up to the gates, the place and the people within it are astounding, but not all for the best reasons, being shown around, normality resurfaces with the meeting of roommates, finding out what the school year will look like and who the teachers will be.
As everyone at the school starts to settle in, that things are not as they seem and the people are not who they are perceived to be, and the fact that one of them has black wings and shifts into a demon on the full moon, is a lot to handle on top of everything else.
there are twists and turns in this adventure, but will the ties that they develop last the distance, or will this school break those bonds? There are discoveries to find, decisions to be made and mysteries to uncover, how can anyone still maintain who they are as they get through these new challenges and stay in control of the darkness within?
You can only find out by reading the book and it will keep you guessing about what will happen all the way to the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed this small town romance set in the small southern town of Green Springs, Mississippi, “Where the days are hot and the nights are hotter!” This is book two in the, “Finding Love in Green Springs” series but a can be read as a standalone story or part of the series. Having read and enjoyed, ‘Be Brave with Me’, I was looking forward to going back to Green Springs and I was not disappointed. In this story we meet city girl Sally and country boy Nolan, two very different characters but when they meet their chemistry sizzles off the page. Sally has it all, her own successful business, an upscale condo in the city, and plenty of money in the bank, or at least it looks like that to everyone else but for Sally things are very different . Sally is lonely following the death of her mother and wants her own family. Following her mother’s shocking death bed confession and then suffering a violent attack, Sally leaves behind the city and the only life she knows. Meanwhile Nolan also appears to have it all, his own business, the pleasures of small town living, and plenty of money in the bank. However Nolan is also feeling lonely following his wife’s death, and he is longing to fall in love again. Nolan is very settled in the town he grew up in and which his ancestors founded, Green Springs. When Sally also finds herself in the small town, the couple begin a relationship but their differences threaten to come between them. I fell in love with Green Springs all over again and thanks to the authors wonderful world building I could picture the town and felt immersed in the story. Both Sally and Nolan are great characters and although they are complete opposites they have both lost a loved one to cancer. It was an emotional read but a heartwarming one and I really wanted Sally and Nolan to find love.

Love Comes In the Morning by Erin Bevan is a contemporary romance- sweet and emotive with a little angst, city girl vs country boy, both still hurting from past love, chemistry starts to sizzle and temperatures rise, but will they risk their hearts again on a new chance at finding love again? This book is well worth the read to find out. After divorce send her reeling, Leslie DeLoach could do with a stroke of luck as she embarks on a new beginning. She gets her lucky change when she inherits her aunt’s manor house and thinks things are finally taking a turn for the better. But when she lays eyes on the manor she only sees how much work there is to restore it- as the house is in dire need of some TLC- and this is where handy man John Hambrice enters the picture- and the story really gets interesting. A little slow to get going and it took me a little bit to connect with the characters- but that really didn’t detract too much from my overall enjoyment of the story.

The Matchmaker and the Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town Romance, is a beautiful, slow-burn tale of healing hearts, self-forgiveness, and second chances. Lucinda Race has written such relatable and heartfelt characters in Melinda Phillips and Adam Bell. The realness of their doubt and grief; how even the smartest and most logical people can see they are not acting rationally, due to fears, losses, and regrets. Wanting so desperately to find happiness again, yet still not able to find the hope or strength to change course. You don’t have to be Marine to understand and sympathize with Adam’s trepidation of opening up. You don’t have to be a widow to feel Melinda’s loss of her husband so acutely. It would have been easy to stay on the path life throws you on. It would have been far less scary to not at least try at a second chance of love, more freeing to stay jaded and guarded. But to have missed out on your happily ever after would have been far more painful than living in your darkened past. You won’t regret taking this journey with Mel and Adam….after all. Timing is everything!

Be One with Me (Finding Love in Green Springs Book 2) by CA Miconi was a romantic tear jersey! Wow! This book was beautiful and really kept me hooked. It was addictive and written well. Nolan and Sally were both amazing characters with a lot of differences. One was city like and the other was country. Watching the two come together over a loss was magical and I loved following their story.
The story itself seemed to flow and the chapters transitioned well. I loved how fluid it was and how easily the author kept my attention. There was plenty of character development and she gave detailed scenery for the reader to easily visualize where they were. I really enjoyed this book and love this series so far. Easy 5 star read from my opinion.

I loved this book. Its a great love story that has elements of war and supernatural beings which i love.
Ezekiel is an incubus (sex demon) his main way of feeding is through sex, however when Ezekiel and the other 3 princes are cursed by Ophelia this simple act turned into something dangerous as everytime he fed off a woman Ophelia would take something from that woman leaving them just a shell.
Because of this Ezekiel refused to feed. The war is ranging between Ophelia and all the demon realms as she trys to take over them using power. Ezekiel sees no hope until Ilana came into his life.
Ilana has grown up thinking she was half vampire, half human however that proves to be a lie when she starts to show that she has magical powers. With her increasing magical powers and her love and attraction to Ezekiel could she be the one to break the spell on the 4 dark princes and finally defeat Ophelia? Or will she end up just a shell of the woman she was.

This book starts right where book one ends. I could not wait to get my hands on this one. I love time travel and Miss Nemechek has so far hit this series out of the ballpark. I love it.
Not going into any of the storyline because of how book 1 ended and I don’t want to give anything away, just know you must read these in order to get the full effect.
I loved this book as much as I loved the first one and already can not wait for the next. It has such a great reading flow, so great in fact I was finished before I knew it. It was a one sitting read because once you get started you can not put it down.

I really enjoyed book one in this series. This one seemed so different. I just didn’t really feel the connection and it seems more of a story about Sally’s life. Almost the romance is a secondary story. Sally and Nolan don’t really spend too much time together. She was sassy with him upon first meeting but after that it just went downhill. The story by itself is nice. Chapters are relatively short but I did find myself drifting because I wanted to get back to the couple’s story. The characters just didn’t do anything for me. Secondary’s are better… we do get to see Meg and Drew again.

This is a very intriguing young adult paranormal academy story, with fantastic world building, drama, mystery, and adventure. This is my first book by Tabi Slick, so I wasn’t really sure of what to expect going in- but have come out the end really happy to have stumbled on this wonderfully original pearl- it has left me really looking forward to reading the rest of the series. When twins Izzy and Kain are packed off to boarding school little do they suspect how much they are about to discover. There is so much more to them, and their new boarding school- their adventure has just begun. With plenty of supernatural elements, dramatic developments, mystery and suspense- Ms. Slick has cleverly blended them all into this captivating read! The end of the book leaves us wanting for more- so I’m off to hunt down the next book!

Virtually Gone is the sixth book in the High-Tech Crime Solvers Series-contributed by Jacquie Biggar. The High-Tech Crime Solvers Series is a multi-author collaboration, each bringing their own story to the mix while using an interlocking cast of characters as well as the high-tech crime solving theme. I was so excited to read this book after seeing the title of this book, and series. I love a good mystery/crime story- and the ‘high-tech’ component increased the intrigue for me. Add Ms. Biggar to the mix and I couldn’t one-click quick enough. Ms. Biggar is one of my go-to authors, whenever I see her name pop up, I know I am going to be getting a great read. So having said that- I must admit that I haven’t read any of the other books in this collection- and now feel that perhaps I should have, as there were a few instances in this book where I felt as if I were missing something, or should have known more about the circumstances, but didn’t. This is the first time I have come away from one of Ms. Biggar’s books feeling just a little disappointed. Don’t get me wrong- this is an interesting and entertaining story, but I had such high expectations for it and I was expecting to be blown away by it- so I feel like there was a bit of a missed opportunity to make this book incredible. I will try to explain why I feel this way. The story was building to be quite a suspenseful cat-and-mouse game- but fell a bit short- I think there needed to be more tension, suspense and drama. I felt that the story was a bit rushed and cut short in places where the tension could have been developed more- with just a little bit ‘more’ story and development that this book would have been stellar. Overall, I just felt like I was missing details, that important parts of the story were passed over- which makes me wonder if these details are contained in the other books of the series? While the story was quite detailed and descriptive in places- we could have done with a little less detail on the ‘scenery’ and more details on the more important aspects such as the backstory, character details, the cat and mouse game, and the ‘high-tech’ components. The depth, drama, suspense, and psychological tension were lacking for me. There were also a few contradictions in the storyline, as well as continuity issues. I really wanted to be blown away by this book and feel bad that I can’t give this the five stars that I was expecting to.

The matchmaker and the marine was a great book that was well written with great characters. The two main characters have their own issues. Melinda moved to Chester to start a new life after losing her husband and facing memories everywhere in her home. It was to much for her to handle. In Chester she has become a very successful matchmaker who gets referral and referral from the many HEA’s she has played a part in creating. Adam is in Chester staying with a friend who is like a brother. They have been best friends for many years. Adam is at a wedding when he runs into Melinda. They start to talk about how they both know the couple and become quick friends. Adam hires Melinda to be his matchmaker but things don’t go very smooth for him. He’s ex military with many emotional and some physical scars. Adam not only hires Melinda but she also hires him to do some work in her yard. The chemistry is amazing between these two main characters throughout the book but is it enough? What happens when a secret is exposed that isn’t ready to be told? I thought this was a really great book and look forward to many more from this author. This is definitely a book you do not want to miss out on!
