Ian successfully runs a private security firm with his brother. His past military experience makes him sought after. Six years ago, he had a brief encounter with Callie. When he sees her again, he can tell she is different and is determined to figure out the secret she is hiding before it kills her.
Callie is working for the FBI when she meets Ian…although she feels like they have met before. However, she is determined to hide her secret because Ian will want nothing to do with her if it comes out. However, Ian is relentless and determined…and maybe that’s what she really needs.
This book has a lot of layers…none of which I want to give away because it is a great book to read without any clues. I found myself immersed in the story as soon as I started reading it and I enjoyed it until the very last page. I will be looking forward to future books from this author and in this series.
